After the third delivery date change and after three days of promises of a call from the delivery supervisor "Sean" to arrange a delivery date, after paying a plumber to come to my house for no reason and after being on hold a total of an hour and ten minutes I cancelled my refrigerator order and got one from Home Depot.
Lowe's doesn't care if they lose a $2,500.00 sale... and neither do I.
I tried calling a Lowes store directly and was never able to to be connected. It rang repeatedly and I was eventually disconnected. I tried several Lowes stores and it was the same story. I was told I would be called the night before my scheduled delivery with a delivery window which I was not and there was no one available at customer service to help me either, I will be going to a store myself tomorrow to cancel my entire order. I am amazed that Lowes is still in business given the non-extent customer service.
I live in the southeast corner of Alabama, I have the good luck of having several Lowe's stores within close driving distance. I seldom have any real issue with service or products that I purchase from them.
If I purchase power tools I feel safe knowing if they do not work I can take them back for an exchange.
I also love the 10% military discount.
I seldom remember when I was UNABLE to find what I needed, if so, I was always able to find a sales clerk that was able to offer a substitute.
The only (tiny) complaint I can think of would be during Holidays and busy times, I think it would be nice to have more sales help. The poor customer sometimes has to wait quite a long time for a clerk to get free to help you.
Strange comment: They also have some of the nicest bathrooms I have ever been in, they are clean, well stocked and you do not gag when you walk in them (us women can probably relate to this comment more than men)
Will never recommend or purchase from Lowe's again! Poor customer service and lack of communication. Took 4 days to deliver everything due to incompetence and still wasn't right! Luckily I'm an honest person because I was going to get a 2nd refrigerator (not mine) delivered and all I needed was the hose. If your window is from 8-12 expect no call and them to be there way before the window! I specifically asked for after 8 due to work and no call and 1 hour early! Very poor customer service
Lowe's uses a 3rd party delivery service for their washers and dryers. We bought a new set on a Saturday. It was delivered on Monday which I was thrilled with! They brought the appliances in and then they said that their company sent them with no hoses, etc to hook everything up with. They said they would be back on Tuesday morning and never showed up. I called Installation at the store and explained the situation. Two guys showed up on Wednesday bringing no hoses, etc to hook up the appliances and had no idea why they were there. One of the guys went back to the truck and was able to find what they needed in some random bag he was talking about. They were bad mouthing the Monday delivery guys and were very unprofessional. I had my fingers crossed that all was properly installed and after my husband tweaked the dryer hose, it's all good. Not impressed at all and they made Lowe's look bad. I'm just happy that it's all working!
I am having the worst experience buying at Lowe's. I bought an above ground pool and I decided to buy it on Lowe's website to get the delivered to house. The delivery arrived only bringing the step ladder. I called Lowes the same day to complain about not receiving the pool. Lowes customer service told me to wait another day I did, and nothing came. I called back again and they told my order was missing. I had to purchased again and I chose the delivery to Lowes to not happen again, I went there I picked up myself. Now Lowes is charging me for 2 pools and the first one was never received. I complained about this charging and now I have to wait 60 days to resolve this issue. This is ridiculous. In meantime I am receiving the bills and interest just increasing. I wont buy from them anymore. Terrible customer service.
Bought a washer/dryer combo and 6 days later the delivery/install the dry was turned on a noise came from the back of the unit. Called Lowe's and the guy said it's over 48 hours so you have to take it up with the LG. I mentioned to him that I bought the 3 years protection plan and he said that doesn't kick in unit after the LG 1 year warranty runs out. Again he said that it up with LG. Will no longer doing business with Lowe's.
I have been renovating my house. After stopping in several times for small common items only to be told, "we're out of that" I don't bother anymore. I should have stopped going long ago. When I went in to price kitchen cabinets, only to find no one around, I could hear the staff having a great time in the back, returning from lunch. When they came, out not one said a word to me. When I enquired, they couldn't find the cabinet person and no one knew where she was. Convenient? Yes. Worth my time? Only for drywall mud. (its close to the door).
I ordered a vanity for my bathroom from Lowe's. It said it was in stock and would be delivered in two weeks. Well, what do you know? They can't find it. So now we're looking at two more weeks. That's if they can get the vanity. Meanwhile I have no sink in my bathroom for two more weeks. Why didn't they check before the two weeks between ordering and delivering? I have contractors her and NO VANITY.
My husband went into the paint section and waited a long time and when he asked the man there a question the worker responds I don't know, you should know. Really poor excuse of customer service. If my husband knew he wouldn't be asking. This person didn't need to respond like this. It was in Visalia can. About 8:30 in the morning today on Sunday, December 1,2019. I would appreciate it if you would correct your workers not to be so rude be more understanding and respect everyone and not be stereotyping a person because of the way they look.
I used to buy from the Garden section. I discovered that the clerks in that section knew very little about the flora. The prices are okay, but you want to make sure you check the health of the plants. A large selection is available. Garden hardware has some good prices.
I ordered a 44 gal brute trash can and they sent me a email and called telling me my order was ready. When I arrived at the store the trash can had some kind of brown liquid all over the outside of the trash can. The person in customer service told me they did not have any more that she would try to have someone clean it. Well after a few mins I checked lowes website and it said they had eleven in stock. The customer service person tried lying her way out by telling me someone my have bought them over the internet and the website was
Still showing them. After 45 mins waiting on a trashcan that was suppose to be ready. They decided that they may have more out back. And lowes wonders why they are having to close stores Hire honest people that wants to help people.
The store in Rock hill really sucks.
The Lowe's in Florida and SW Georgia have all been outstanding in merchandise in the store for purchase along with Customer Service. The Thomasville Georgia store has home and yard needs kept in stock. The plants, trees and flowers are cared for and landscaping area highly maintained. It's obvious employees are trained and well experienced in their different departments. In the Thomasville store;, I've always gotten the service and help I need. The employees never mind helping you load your car up.
I had to deal with a racist clerk at their store who was a Karen. Blatantly lied about a situation and had to depend on a witness. Wish I recorded. Then I saw the video about lowes catering to recast and kidnappers. I am done. Home depot started doing veteran discounts too, I go there now. #LeaveLowes
We were selling our 8 month old Frigidaire fridge for 2k that evening, until the 2 delivery men dented it in 4 places and busted up our wall. I obviously could not sell the fridge and now they won't answer the phone to fix what they have damaged. And they pocketed our screws for the fridge too.
Yesterday morning, I went on line to look up to make sure they still had the wrenched I wanted to purchase. Well, the Port Richey store had them for the $59.00 price but were out. The Tarpon Springs store had them but they were listed for $89.00. So I got on the chat thing with Lowes and asked about it. They said I could order them at that price. I told them I needed them for a job today so I really needed to be able to pick them up. I told the tarpon store had them and asked if I printed out the advertisement online could I get them for the same price. The chat person said, "sure, they will match the lowest price price. Well, the Tarpon manager told me that they could not do it the price was old. It was and is still online at Lowe's. Com. I was very upset, drove all the way, spent all the time making sure before I went there and still nothing! I have been a long time customer of Lowes, but this one may just do it for me. I recently bought a house and have been working on so many home improvement projects. I am at Lowe's so much I should probably just get a part time job there! I have found the employees to be very helpful, the products to be great quality, and the prices to be reasonable. I have bought a ton of plants, mulch, and other lawn materials in the past few weeks and have gotten some great deals!
I will make this as short as I can because I absolutely over this situation. I purchased a fence for $4000 and paid cash for it. I bought it off of Justin Mault. It took them almost 4 months to even call me to set up a time to install. We set up several different dates do to the contractors no call or no shows. To make it better I burned days of vacation for these no call no shows! Once we had it installed the job was horrendous! The whole reason I purchased this fence is so my dogs don't escape from the back yard. Everything about this fence is junk! The posts are all uneven. The wire on the bottom is on the wrong side of the posts. Not to mention there is a gap so big that I can walk through it. This defeats the purpose of even having a fence! I won't buy a pack of gum from Lowe's ever again!
We went to our local store (#3444) in search of a new refrigerator (GE Profile). The Lowes employee, Oleg, was super helpful. Even though appliances wasn't his department, he assisted us with getting the refrigerator ordered for delivery. I tried to go in and give him a review, but couldn't get past a sweepstakes, so wanted to give him a shout out here. Oleg you score a 10 in our book!
Lowe's customer service is the absolute WORST on the planet. They have outsourced their install scheduling to a company in the Philippines (Handy). AWFUL!
Two Kohler toilets were installed. One is defective, and verified as defective. Handy keeps canceling the replacement appointments. I have spoken with them Several times. I have spoken with Lowe's and the installer Several times. The Installer can't do anything until Handy gets their head out of their $#*! and produces an appointment.
This has gone on for over two weeks.
I am at the point of having the toilet ripped out and returning it to Lowe's myself and contracting with the installer privately to install a new one.
