No one has contacted me from Lyft having glitches and it's not accepting any payments methods even though I have thousands in a Lyft pass
BEWARE OF DOING BUSINESS WITH LYFT!
April 17,2023, 12.10 a.m. at St Louis airport, I ordered an upgraded Lyft ride that was supposed to arrived in 2 minutes, according to the app, to get to my hotel quickly. The ride came 5-10 minutes late. When the driver stayed in the car without volunteering to help me to put my baggage in the trunk, I asked him to step out of the car and help me. I could see he wasn't happy about my request. Inside the car was filthy and he had a very loud music on throughout the entire ride, without asking whether I was ok with such loud music. I didn't complain since I was afraid to make him more upset. I didn't feel safe with him. The day after my ride I received a notice from Lyft that I was charged $80 damage fee since the driver had claimed I scratched his car and the fee was for him to clean up his car. Since the accusation is not at all true I reached out to Lyft customer service to dispute the charge. The only way of contacting Lyft customer service is through text message or email. I am frankly not sure whether I communicate with a robot or a human being since they keep repeating that they won't adjust the damage fee payment without directly answer my questions. I have asked to talk to a manager but no one has contacted me so far. I have reach out to them six times through text and email communications. I have asked them to share with me evidence that shows I scratched the care. They responded that their decision was based on the driver's anecdote. I feel robbed and feel powerless for they don't care. DON'T DO BUSINESS WITH LYFT.
THEY LOST MY ACCOUNT AND I HAD ABOUT A $ 200 PAID IN ADVANCE BALANCE!
I CONTACTED CUSTOMER SERVICE MANY TIMES WITH DETAILED INFORMATION AND THEY NEVER RESOLVED THE PROBLEM AND KEPT MY $200!
HEY LYFT ARE YOU FAMILIAR WITH THE TERM ILLEGAL?
I decided to try Lyft for the first time and will never do it again. Booked 3 days in advance to make sure I had a ride for the night I needed, and got confirmed with a driver named Chris. The night of he must have cancelled leading us to be passed through about 7 different drivers who we would be notified is on the way to pick us up, and then be switched to another time and time again. After the time kept getting pushed back for hours I gave up and found a different way home. This was terrifying to be in an unfamiliar city left stranded, ESPECIALLY WHEN I HAD GOT A RIDE IN ADVANCE. This was pathetic and I would recommend Lyft to absolutely no one.
I went on their APP tonight to see how long it would take to get a ride from Summerlin to Mandalay Bay and they had a price of $14.90 and up. Got ready to get a ride and 45 min later and the price had tripled. Wtf, had Uber give me ride for $22
00... Suck it, Lyft!
Never never never get a ride with Lyft! Horrible customer service and drivers! I was in vacation and got a ride with Lyft, and left my phone inside the driver's car, all my credit cards and IDs were inside my phone's cover, I contacted customer service, asked them for help, I explained it to them that I need to go to the airport and my driver license is the only form of ID I have, I told them that I am in the vacation and I need my credit cards because I don't have any cash with me, they did not care, kept saying we are not responsible, they did not even provide me a customer service phone number, I asked many times please give me a customer service phone number, they said we don't have any, and the one that I googled is not a working number, the driver confirms that he had my phone and all my IDs, and he kept playing game with me called my friend's number after 100 times we called and messaged him, I told him please bring my phone and IDs and I will give you a very good tip and reward, he said I don't bring it today, I will bring it tomorrow 4 to 5, he made me stay in my hotel all day, and I was not able to go anywhere, and at 4:30 I called him and said what happened, again he said no I can't bring it and I will bring it tomorrow 6 to 7, I was so worry and anxious since he has already broken his promise, and I did not know how to go to the airport without my ID, he made me to call my husband spend 170 dollar to mail my Passport with DHL, and finally after 3 days that I reported him to the police, he gave my phone back! Lyft did not support me at all and kept said they are independent contractor and we are not responsible! How about if the driver rapes someone, you still saying not responsible! He had my sensitive information kept them for 3 days, ruined my vacation!
THE DRIVER MOHAMMED HAVE ACCESS TO MY CREDIT CARD ACOUNT, HE TIP HIMSELF $5 ON A $6 RIDE AND GIVE HIMSELF 5 STAR REVIEW ON MY ACCOUNT! SO THEY STEAL ON MY CREDIT CARD! HOW HE CAN DO THAT? I CLOSE MY ACCOUNT.
I needed a ride to the airport ordered in advance scheduled for pick up 4 hours before my flight I got got notifications someone was on their way 10 minutes away a different driver said they were on their way and a third and last one was a minute away then 15 minutes later said my ride was canceled and they still charged me I had to call a cab and made my flight with the grace of God
If you're thinking about driving for Lyft, I would encourage you to think twice about it. They're taking so much out of the driver share it is no longer feasible to spend your time and wearing out your vehicle for the return.
Personal experience, personal feelings- I am disgusted with this organization.
No driver shows up, but credit charges for $6 for me not showing up. No customer service offer and I leave on street. Very unpleasant experiences.
No matter what you are reported for you will be locked out for 3months while they 'investigate' or but while they do that they ignore your emails. This is the 2nd time I've been locked down due to having a carseat in my front seat since I don't let anyone in that seat. But because I don't have a dashcam for photo proof I will be locked for 3 months yet again because in their eyes the customer is always right. I'll say this I love Uber more in this aspect they investigate and have an answer for you within 48 hours.
Lyft was used twice now for medical transportation to my physical therapy. I had knee surgery and am using a walker.
Neither time was I ever contacted by Lyft or the drivers as to eta, description of driver ir vehicles, etc.
The first time when I called "where's my ride", the driver told them I was a no show.
Today when I called "where's my ride", the driver told them I was picked up and was on my way to my appointment.
Are you kidding me?
Due to their lack of consideration, lying, etc. I've had to cancel and reschedule not only physical therapy appointments but follow up appointment with my doctor, which has set me back weeks.
They are not a reliable company that has no regard or consideration for customers and they do not communicate basic information.
I do NOT recommend Lyft to anybody! I would give them 0 stars if that was an option.
I had reserved a ride 2 days in advance for a pickup at 5:50 am for a trip to dfw airport for an early flight. At 5:40 they cancelled the ride with no options. No excuses no nothing. $#*!ty company
I had 2 recent experiences with Lyft as a new user. One was excellent and the other extortion.
My first dealt with Jean Paul and our party of 5 from Orlando airport to our Disney World resort late at night. This was my first experience with Lyft and I accepted our location pointer address, not knowing it was wrong and I could override with the airport. I did, however, put that detail on our request along with what gate we were at in the remarks to the driver.
Two prior drivers said they arrived but we couldn't see them, so Jean was our third attempt. We talked by phone and we found the pointer was wrong and he directed us to a better pickup spot at MCO. All went well and he took us to our resort.
I knew the price was between $36-40, and was charged $29 on our Lyft receipt for an XL van, thus still owed around $10. We decided I would tip him the difference, thus thinking maybe a generous $20 tip. Instead, he said the ride usually is $80 and thus he wanted me to pay him $60. I told him that was too much. As I only had $20 bills, I gave him $40 as a compromise. I really wasn't sure of the correct fare until our return trip, which was $39! He took advantage and I would never recommend him as he certainly knew the fare would be close to $40, not $80! I was surprised he gave me his card, as I am using it to report his dishonesty.
I am attached photos of both receipts. As a new user, I received $5 off each trip, but doesn't impact this review.
Twice now I have attempted to get rides in Atlanta with Lyft. On both of those occasions drivers indicated they were picking me up then changed their minds (after 5 or 10 minutes) and then canceled the drive. On both occasions multiple drivers agreed to pick me up and then changed their minds, leaving someone else to take the passenger. The first time I finally got a driver after 4 attempts. The second time I gave up after 3 attempts and just used a taxi service. Both experiences happened in a busy area. If there were a way to leave ratings for drivers that drop you like a hot potato--I would have given them one star.
It is now more expensive than Uber in Saint Louis during last two days. I don't know the reason but observed on the same route that I used over months.
What a nasty and most unprofessional app to work with. They played with your time and your money; 6 times they randomly just canceled my rides after I have waited x amount of time then they reassign you another driver for more money. I deleted the app already, it's not worth anything in this world.
Florida traveling and Lyft picked us up from a water park. Mind you we were dry. Kids were dry. Lyft picked us up from. Water park and was ok with it. After he drops us off. 15 mins later he files a damage claims said water damage and sand and dirt damage. Got on chat with someone and they said it was humidity in the seats. The pic attached is what Lyft said he sent them. Lyft refuses to listen to me and even look at the pictures. Stay away from lift and their scam drivers.
Beware of this thief, one forgets things in his car and steals them. He checked all my things and he stole my glasses Ray-Ban and he still charges me $125 to return them to me. His name is Francisco. Be careful with him
Answer: They randomly out of the blue deactivated my account. This was there explanation. We found your account to be violating our Terms of Service and you will no longer be able to use the Lyft platform. I can honestly I have not violated anything so clearly there is something wrong with there information but the worst thing is they dont even tell you what the problem is. Oh well guess take my business to uber instead.
Answer: Lft runs different promotions and depending on promotion they promise a signup bonus(500-1100$). Now if they really pay the bonus it's totally up to their discretion.in my case they didn't pay. I completed the 60 Rides required in the first 30 days, which was the requirment to qualify for the bonus but they still didn't pay. After a brief email exchange with a lyft employee(they do not give their position or full name) they stopped answering. Now I am filing a complain with BBB and I will let you know where it goes when I have updates.
Answer: Lyft's customer service is terrible. If they won't correct it, file a dispute with your credit card company.
