You won't believe the nightmare I've been through with Makro—if I could rate them in the negative, I absolutely would! It all started when I placed an online order because it was one of those exclusive products you can only get online. Everything seemed to be in order, right? Wrong. The delivery day comes, and I get the message, "Delivered." But guess what? There's NOTHING at my door! I decide to use their oh-so-recommended communication channel, WhatsApp. Four hours pass—FOUR—and not a single response. So, I decide to call them directly. And what do I get? A generic story about how they're "investigating" the situation. They promise me it'll be delivered before my vacation, but I'm skeptical. After all, why wouldn't I be? I keep calling and calling, but not once do they bother calling me back. I request to speak to a manager over and over again, but all I get are conflicting reasons as to why my package was "delivered" to God-knows-where. Finally—finally—I get through to someone who claims to resolve the issue. I give her the new delivery address, stressing that this package is essential. Surely they can't screw this up again, right? WRONG AGAIN. They deliver it to the wrong address. AGAIN. Because of Makro's repeated failure to follow simple instructions, I returned home to find complaints from my estate and a fine for excessive barking due to the incorrect delivery. The level of incompetence displayed throughout this process has been nothing short of shocking and I am STILL waiting for a call back from a manager, but I would dye if I held my breath waiting for that to happen.

Ordered products online and the delivery date was not honored. Poor communication from Makro and their terrible courier partner called Wumdrop!
I've been trying to get a missing item from my last order deliver (MAK**********). The driver gets here with 2/3 of my parcels, makes a lackluster attempt to follow up on the matter and delicates it to me. I have spent hundreds on airtime calling in their contact center for the issue to get escalated and completely disregarded 2 days later. This has been happening for 2 whole weeks. I am deeply disappointed at this ridiculous loop they have me going around all due to the incompetence or the courier.

their FMCG are great value for money, but if the courier couldn't care less that day you wont even get a chance to use it and you will never get your order resolved
Placed an order on the 20th March 2023 even today not received it. Consultants keep lying that some1 will call but no one called, staff is so rude to us clients. I am wondering if i will ever get my order or whether in good condition! This is the worst online service i ever encountered, no one responds to my mails-seems there is no one to even deal with mailbox.

Makro is a rip off. They never refund for items that are not in stock. Its over a month now and the 2nd refund it's 2 weeks waiting. Call center agents will literally say they don't know why I haven't been refunded and I need to wait a few days. Emails are being ignored because nobody responds to them

Makro listed a product wrong on their site for over 48hours, I ordered the product online and they confirmed my payment and order, only a day later they let me know they made a mistake and instead of fulfilling my order, they will just refund me. I'm highly disappointed and its super frustrating. Its bad that they can just do that and there is no way to fight them back on it. Won't support them anymore.
I bought items at Makro on the 11th of October and other items were cancelled due to them not being available, I was then promised a refund and told to send my ID copy and banking details, I did just that. The communication ended there...I kept on calling Makro asking when I'll get my money and they kept on telling me they'll escalate the matter to the finance department. I called them more than 7times I even called the complain manager and he told me that on the system it says I've been refunded. I then told him I didn't get my money, he then said he'll do a follow up. He never called. I called the carnival Makro and I was told to send my ID copy and banking details again and I did that asking him when will I get my money via email and he stopped responding...this is now the 2nd month and still haven't received my money. They are not communicating at all. Makro's service is very poor and I regret ever buying. It feels like I'm dealing with skammers

Purchased a Fridge for R*******. 00 on 25 Nov 2021 online and til today 09/12/2021 i have not yet received the PAID Fridge, when i phone and follow up i am being told that the fridge is with the courier WUM Drop which also seems to not be able to tell anyone ANYTHING!
When asking Makro for a refund i am told that it would take 7 to 14 business days to process the refund.
I have been phoning since last week and keep getting the same info but nothing is happening!

The Defy washing machine delivers to me today 21.02.2022 (bought the washing machine on the 18.02.2022)was damaged I called makro about the water marks on The machine, manager told me thats because they had to test if it was working I than told the manager that the exterior of the machine was Also damaged he said oh I can give u a discount of R700 I told him I want my money or a new Machine I asked that they fetch the damaged machine and told him that I'm coming for the new machine or my money. At the shop he said he told me to bring the damaged machine to the shop. I already paid Marko for delivery now they wanted me to pay another person so that I can take their damaged washing machine to their shop. At the shop I was told that they can't give me my money because they don't have the washing machine that they delivered to my house and that I must bring the washing machine to the shop and then I must come get my money. Makro Alberton is the worst place one can buy electrical appliances the short arrogant man wasn't willing to assist me they sold me damaged goods now I must take it back, they even told me I must wait until Wednesday for them to fetch the machine. They don't know the meaning of customer service. Makro is a Joke u advertised on your website that your delivery is free yet another lie, I want my money back I don't want your washing machine! I don't want to wait till Wednesday u need to fetch ur useless washing machine sies makro is selling dirty appliances
Marko is absolutely $#*!! I will never in my life order something from them again. I ordered two 8-in-1 Silver Crest 8L Air Fryer Digital LED Display Non-Stick fryers from them and I only received the one. I have been trying to sort this issue out for 10 days now. I am aware that this product is via third-party. When I firts followed up on this issue the consultant informed me that he wil escalate this and someone will be in contact. The next day I followed up again and found that the issue has never been reported and there was no proof that I contacted them the previous day. Again the consultant said that they will escalate this issue and someone will be in contact. After two days of not hearing from them I phoned again and again the same thing they will escalte the issue again. Saturday when I phoned them I spoke to one of the same consultants I have spoken to before and she informed that it is not Makro's problem seeing that the product is from a third party and that I must know I'm not the only complaining customer with this issue for this product. I phoned them twice today, where I was on the line for 10 minutes and there was no answer. How nice to know that Makro is in kahoots with fairprice in not only stealing people's money but also the products that they bought. I bought this product through Makro, I paid them the money, making them responsible to get me that product!
