I have been a member of the website for approximately five years. During that time I have conversed with and met many individuals regarding massage exchanges. Like all social media sites; one must do your own "due diligence" regarding the person with whom you are corresponding. Effective communication is the key - along with having a DETAILED profile. Members with just a few sentences in their profile are usually not a good contact. My membership has permitted me to make some nice friends with whom we trade on a regular basis. This is so much cheaper than hiring professionals. A lot of "amateur" massage enthusiasts are pretty good at an exchange. TELL the person what you want: "more pressure", "slow down". Give it a try... after a couple of trades, the membership fee pays for itself.
I recommend for non heterosexual men. The entire " therapeutic/sensual" format is a con in itself. Its slowly becoming the replacement to back pages as the gay hookup site. Look at reviews. Nearly all men. Yes there are a few legitimate straight females, but I do not recommend you pay the high price for small pool of contacts. Lastly, the search functions and technical design of the website are very good. Great job from technical standpoint. Easy to navigate. Customer service is another problem. One owner, who has no customer service skills. He had s great idea, kudos to him. But he is so sharp and brazen with responses. He is on to something. If he could divide profiles into two groups, the heterosexual population might jump on board.
I signed up a few years ago, suspicious I used a different name. I posted in the Portland area, so got several quick responses. Yes, they homosexual community uses it, obvious. But, there are regular people also, and I did manage a few connections, all of them OK to a couple of them excellent. There is nudity, of course, and sensual touch, of course, no different than meeting someone anywhere and becoming friends. It's worth the effort, just be honest about what you are looking for.
This site is a great way to explore massage with like-minded people. It offers a safe way to improve knowledge and gain useful insights into techniques as well as meeting others who share a passion for this amazing therapy.
As someone who cannot host, it is sometimes difficult to make arrangements for exchanges, but there are always generous hosts out there who are willing to make their premises the base for exchanges.
If all site users would at least respond to emails, then we would all know where we stand with respect to possible exchanges - even a polite "no thanks" is better than no response at all!
Let's get massage on everyone's map!
It takes a while to meet people, but I have had some pretty good massage experiences on ME, through perseverance and a dose of good luck. The site is very rarely down and if you are really serious about massage, the cost for gold membership is quite reasonable, IMHO. I think those who go on the freebie plan which limits communication with prospective contacts, get frustrated and quit. Spend a little money so you can really have a conversation with someone and have a great time.
This site is great for those who enjoy massage. I usually average at least one massage exchange a week. I have learned that everyone has their own techniques when giving massages and have learned several that I now incorporate into my own massages. Sometimes you need to be proactive in contacting people and coordinating schedules but patience is usually rewarded. Some are better than others but all have been good. No bad experiences and have met some really nice and interesting people. I have found that it is important to be fairly specific in your profile. Some do use this site as a "hook up" site but be clear with your boundaries and it is not a problem.
Each exchange I've had has been a great experience. I've learned from each man even when they did not have professional training. It takes some time to get used to how the site works but overall it's been good. Still run into guys who never respond to first email contacts for some reason. I always respond even when I don't want to pursue an exchange with a particular man.
Here you get to list who you are, what you're looking for, and connecting. Of course the free members can only connect with gold members, but you can start free and upgrade later. I do wish the site allowed you to see the color of the member before you email them, because if you're anything other than gold, black members can't read it, and if you're silver, you can only communicate with silver and gold. So to save time and effort, I'd like to be able to see the color of the star of the member. Beyond that, the site is amazing. Classified by location you set, you can exchange with people all over the world. Great for traveling and looking for a massage. The experiences have been incredible. Take the adventure... enjoy the journey!
We have been members for over 2 years and we have had mostly positive experiences. Massage Exchange has allowed us to receive and exchange massage sessions with others who enjoy similar experiences and no money exchanges hands. Massages can be expensive; but this allows members to enjoy therapeutic or exciting sessions, learn new techniques, and meet some great people along the way.
This website is amazing! The idea of connecting people for unpaid massages cannot be matched. Unfortunately people found another use of this website as finding a partner for mutual touch, even sexual activities. And hence more than 90% of the members are males, gay people are among them more than you think. I personally meet +100 males and 4 females in just a few months of my subscription and got great massages but not many good enough to make it up for the bad ones that I got. Suddenly, most of the male members from here are looking to meet another male and experience mutual touching or sex related activities which spoils the meaning of a massage. Also a lot of lying about the age and weight, even fake pictures or very old.
I have been using massage exchange for a few years. Its given me an opportunity to meet other excellent masseurs and enthusiasts. The site is user friendly, affordable, and the customer service team values member opinions. I always recommend massage exchange whenever I get the chance... My update 8/17/20 - I have been a member on Massage Exchange for several years now. I still rate the site 5 stars. This site is a place where massage therapists and enthusiasts can talk and agree to meet in a safe environment for a massage. If people don't answer your message, it's because they are busy, no longer active, can't respond, do not wish to exchange or the profile is fake. I have met some great people and become friends with many. ME is for everyone, all shapes, sizes and colors. Good luck with your search and stay safe if you are looking for a massage partner during the pandemic, many people are not exchanging at this time.
It's been great experience so far. I've met a lot of good men of the same interests and also managed to learn new techniques. I've made a couple of good mates on the site and regularly exchanges with them.
I highly recommend this website to everyone who enjoys giving and receiving massages.
Been a member of Massage Exchange for a while now. It's a wonderful platform to meet other likeminded individuals who enjoy giving and receiving massages. I have learned so many new massage modalities from others. Highly recommended.
I am a fairly new member and have been anonymously communicating with massage professionals and enthusiasts around the world. Locally I am communicating with ME members in my area and setting up free massage exchange dates. The search function is efficient and locates your filtered preferences of partners by city and distance radius. Perfect site for travelers looking to exchange in various locations. The site is monitored for fraudulent posters which are promptly removed. There is a free membership option, but only paying members can communicate with all members. Although it does take some time and effort to find the right massage partners, it is rewarding and worth the membership fee. It is also a very good excuse to get fit and loose weight. Happy ME gold member Stressbuster56.
I have been there for over a year. Not that easy to find a compatible person. There are many members listed that have not been there in ages. You MUST buy tokens or membership to be able to reply or send messages. Many members cannot host, that eliminates many potential partners. I rarely got replies to emails I sent. At best 5%.
On the bright side its 1000% better than free rub. Free rub is a total waste of time and money
We just had a very positive exchange, our first, with someone from the site. It took some time, some money, and some effort to make things work, find the right "fit", etc. etc. But in the end we did, and we would not have been able to do it without MassageExchange. So we recommend highly.
I found MassageExchange by accident. I have been a member for over two years now. As a keen enthusiast and student of massage for many years it is a great way to develop skills and learn from others. I have had no problems on the site and have found most users to be genuine lovers of massage as well. I would recommend a membership, the cost of which is easily made up for with the number of great and free massage exchanges I have had
I've met a number of caring men through the exchange and experienced some great massages. I've thoroughly enjoyed every exchange. Let's face it. Even a so so massage beats work, yard work, house cleaning whatever. Take a chance and live a little! All it costs is your time.
Member since 2011 Massage Exchange has enabled me to extend my experience, knowledge and skills. I been able to meet some interesting people that I would not otherwise had the opportunity due to my busy shedule.
This seems to be the best site out there for massage trades. I was a member of another website but nothing ever came of it. This site seems to have more active members. I will say that I agree with the other comments that the site is a bit expensive. It would be nice to see some on site advertising to lower the cost to communicate with other members. All in all, it has been good so far as I have had 3 massage trades in about a months time.
I have had some expereicnes of exchanging a massage with different partners in different cities. Most experiences were excellent. It's a wonderful way to connect and make contact with other people we don't know who, like us, appreciate massages and exchanging a good one.
My experience with this site has been nothing but positive. Ive met some real nice people on the site and have exchange massaged with many of them. It's always been enjoyable meeting other therapists who are interested in doing exchanges and making friends with many of them. I find this site most enjoyable and rewarding.
As a qualified massage therapist, I find that MassageExchange is by far the best way to meet other massage therapists who wish to exchange massage without payment. It is also a good way to find unqualified massage enthusiasts who wish to practice their skills. The site is very user-friendly, and the staff are extremely helpful and efficient. I get a weekly summary showing members who have viewed my profile, and I get a weekly email showing new members who live near me. In the last few years I have met so many interesting people through this site, some of whom are now good friends who meet me for regular massage exchange in my home.
After only a day on this site, I exchanged a massage with a professional massage therapist and it was awesome. Well worth the membership fee. Its free to join but to answer emails there is a fee, so in order get the best use of the site, pay the fee. I am super happy with MassageExchange.
I think it would have better reviews if they made their money on advertising and less on the actual users. They are offering a free service, so paying $$$ for a free service to the user doesn't make sense. Even if they wanted to charge just the men on the site, I think people would be more happier with the product. The site is and looks very professional, but I believe people would have a better outcome if they made it free for all and just advertise to make their money. It is a quality site, so I am sure they can make decent money with advertising. I paid for 6 months so wish me luck.
While the few people I've connected with have been quality people, it has been difficult to work out a regular connection. There is a remarkably small number of people that I would match up with which is also a challenge. The site itself is good and works well and again, the individuals I have connected with have been great but most were from out of town and are in my town infrequently.
The Massage exchange site does just what it says. You can find like minded people near you and exchange a beautiful relaxing massage. People vary from experienced to learners but it's still a great way to relax and enjoy..
MassageExchange.com is a community of bodyworkers, bodywork students, and massage enthusiasts to network, practice, explore new bodywork modalities, and exchange massage and other bodyworks for free. Now with nearly 200,000 members and growing rapidly.
When I first started my massage practice, I'd exchange massages with my fellow classmates frequently. Slowly, however, my massage friends either moved away or left the trade. Sadly, this massage giver was receiving fewer and fewer massages himself.
One day, with a particularly bad back ache, I realized that I had no-one to trade with. Unfortunately, trying to network with others in order to find trading partners proved difficult, time consuming, often even embarrassing, and ultimately unsuccessful.
An idea was born — Why not a massage networking site for those looking for massage exchange partners?
I should mention that we have a generous "Connection Guarantee". See https://www.massageexchange.com/tips/guarantee.asp
