I have been a member of the website for approximately five years. During that time I have conversed with and met many individuals regarding massage exchanges. Like all social media sites; one must do your own "due diligence" regarding the person with whom you are corresponding. Effective communication is the key - along with having a DETAILED profile. Members with just a few sentences in their profile are usually not a good contact. My membership has permitted me to make some nice friends with whom we trade on a regular basis. This is so much cheaper than hiring professionals. A lot of "amateur" massage enthusiasts are pretty good at an exchange. TELL the person what you want: "more pressure", "slow down". Give it a try... after a couple of trades, the membership fee pays for itself.
I recommend for non heterosexual men. The entire " therapeutic/sensual" format is a con in itself. Its slowly becoming the replacement to back pages as the gay hookup site. Look at reviews. Nearly all men. Yes there are a few legitimate straight females, but I do not recommend you pay the high price for small pool of contacts. Lastly, the search functions and technical design of the website are very good. Great job from technical standpoint. Easy to navigate. Customer service is another problem. One owner, who has no customer service skills. He had s great idea, kudos to him. But he is so sharp and brazen with responses. He is on to something. If he could divide profiles into two groups, the heterosexual population might jump on board.
I have used massageexchange.com a number of times and I've had great experiences. The site works well in identifying locals where I'm a travel and in my own geographic area. The people I have met have been very nice and have provided terrific massages. I use the site over and over again. Highly recommend it.
The site is a little expensive for what you get, but the folks that I've met over the years have been friendly and the experiences are mostly good. It is a good way to meet friends for a massage exchange, and it does a good job of vetting.
I am a straight guy and due to the internet being full of guys more than ladies it is difficult to find ladies to work on or exchange with. I have been receiving massage for 20 + years and performing massage myself for around 5 years now. I love the contacts you can find and connections you can make. All the issues make the good ones that more special when you do find them. I have 6 ladies I exchange with now and have become friends, plus a number of customers. Lovely to know and make new friends.
I am Lovenatural73 on there.
Take care all
I have contacted numerous individuals over the years as I travel.
Most of the time, I have received little or no response.
I would expect at least a reply that said not interested or not available during that time etc. This is not a fault of the Exchange. Just the caliber of the people who have joined it. I might not renew next time because it has become a waste of time to try to communicate with no responses.
I think this is a good site to connect to others but it is seem a little bit too much for money to member or something like that, so it is why the member is limited. I opinion is the site should allow silver member contact and give pass for standard member to email them too.
As a qualified Swedish Massage/Shiatsu therapist of 20 years standing, whose daytime job is something completely unrelated (media producer), it hasn't been easy finding willing 'patients' to practise on over those years... until I discovered Massage Exchange last year. What a find! Just what the doctor ordered. Since I joined, not only have I been able to get up to speed on my massage technique with regular practise on 'receive-only' volunteers but also with other trained therapists who are happy to exchange therapeutic massage and technique with you. 'Win-win' situation all round at no charge! To quote a line from that song, "Who could ask for anything more?" I've met some wonderful people and professional therapists, some on an on-going basis, and the best thing is that the site is global so if you travel you can always find others to exchange with in different parts of the world, and hopefully make a friend in the process. I've already exchanged massage with therapists from the UK and the US as well as different parts of Australia. The site is also broad-minded enough to offer members the extra choice of receiving/giving Sensual massage for those who like it.
I feel much more comfortable finding a massage partner at massageexchange than using other methods. The people I've met have all been very nice and I felt very safe.
Massage Exchange is real value for money. It is an efficient platform and the guys I have met have all been charming and a pleasure to share massage with. Highly recommended.
I have had many complimentary massages from colleagues on the MassageExchange site. I think it is an excellent way of networking with colleagues around your city and to exchange massages.
Massage Exchange is one of the genuine website which I have seen for the first time. Not like other dating website which has take profile only to make money.
Massageexchange is a valuable asset to those who enjoy giving and receiving massage therapy. A great site to discover like minded, vetted individuals.
I have been a member of Massage Exchange for some time now. The site is laid out well. Have quite a lot of success in meeting over members too. Well worth a look at yourself.
I personally think that the cost for membership is a bit high (the reason why I gave a 4 star), but it does keep out those who are looking for more than a massage.
I hope you don't go to advertising because that just irritates me having to deal with products and services that are not related to the site and I find them distracting from the real reason why I joined the site and that is to have a massage.
If you had to advertise, I would create different prices for the three target groups you have on the site so charge different prices for the novice, the students and the trained. If you want to charge more for the trained to advertise that would be great for the professional because then they can offer their massage services at a cost if anyone would like to pay for a massage and not give a massage.
The site is very well planned out, it's easy to navigate. I just joined and I already had two massages from novices and they did a good job, not a professional job but they had good intentions and they learned a few tips for my professional training.
I was hoping to see more trained professionals on the site or students but I think it might be the cost to join that's discouraging that target audience.
As my title says really,, the benefit does not out weigh the cost,- in my experience.
Maybe they need to look at lowering the cost and increasing membership,,
A good resource, but somewhat frustrating because it is difficult to actually connect with people to the point where a massage exchange actually occurs.
I have had some good massage exchanges here but some have been a bust. Not many guys in my area who are interested in exchanging and/or in whom I am interested in massaging.
The site forces you in to paying to really get anywhere. If it was a more modest fee I wouldn't mind, but what you pay for what you get doesn't add up to value.
Pros:
1. Can pay by subscription or by contact.
2. If you upload a primary photo, they are very specific that it's a large clear face pic.
Cons:
1. Regarding #2 above, they don't require you to upload a primary photo... so a LOT of blank profiles.
2. I realize there are a LOT of people that probably like knowing they are viewed. To me, it means nothing, a complete waste of time. I view other profiles like I look at new clothes in the store... I pick up a lot, look it over, and put it back on the rack. It doesn't mean I'm shy, coy, or playing hard to get. So sending other people notices that I viewed them is very annoying to me. In addition, receiving notices that others have viewed me, is just as annoying. If sites are going to do this, they should at least allow you to control these outgoing and incoming "viewed" notices.
3. Right after I created a profile but before I uploaded a picture I immediately received an email request by a very goodlooking young guy to upload a picture (I'm gay btw). I now realize and highly suspect it was a FAKE profile and the request was automatically generated by the system. I don't like sites that mess with your feelings and your head.
Massage Exchange is a good idea in principle, in practice the reality produces mixed returns on your time and subscription investment. That said it purely depends on people's willingness to be pro-active and where you are geographically.
Some fare better, some not so well. I've been a member for about 3 years, subscribing as a Gold member when finances allow. Other times when my priorities are elsewhere I revert to Free member level to keep tabs on who's around.
On the Yin side there are good people on the site who have studied and earnt their paperwork, some very gifted amateurs and beginners and students eager to learn. On the Yang side there are also flakers, timewasters, freeloaders and the downright ignorant who blatantly ignore emails that paying members send out in good faith. These idiots are being subsidised by those of us who are passionate about what we do.
Not having a pop at the team in any way, it's the members that make or break a site. I'm not pulling my punches and I speak my mind.
I've had about 6 exchanges in that timeframe. On the positive that's 6 more than I would have had if I hadn't signed up. I have an exchange lined up next week so that's a good thing.
Also, consider that exchange doesn't always mean massage directly. There is the exchange of knowledge and information from all over the world and I have amassed some lovely contacts to bounce ideas and approaches and discussions with, so in that respect the value is more subtle and intrinsic.
Generally I have made some great contacts & a few people have become genuine friends through the power of massage!
I have used massageexchange.com for close to 6 years, in both New York and California. I have found it to be a convenient and expedient way to find like-minded enthusiasts of reciprocal massage and sensual touch.
Simply put, you can look at people's profiles, their self-assessed skill level, and their experience level, and choose whether or not to contact them for a massage. On the other end of that same equation, you can be the recipient of a request for a massage exchange from a member who has been intrigued by your profile, and you can choose, based on their profile, whether or not to accept the offer of an exchange.
The typical exchange occurs in one of the two people's homes, and the typical flow is one person receives a massage, and the other administers it. Then the situations are reversed. Of course, the dynamic is malleable and can be modified as circumstances dictate.
I probably set up an exchange on this site about once a month at most. Nevertheless it has almost always been a positive experience. Conversations are held via email onsite as to what expectations are, what expertise levels are sought, what the balance of sensual and therapeutic touch will be. By the time the massage begins, each person has a pretty good idea of what to expect and how the next hour or so will transpire.
There are many people on the site who have been active for quite some time, and that is perhaps the best testament that it works well for those who use it. The only way to know if it works for you is to give it a try. You may be surprised how satisfying it can be, and the your own expertise in administering massages will increase significantly with every new exchange you experience.
After reading other reviews, I would add to this review that the free service is nearly worthless. I'd encourage anyone to give the site a trial run on the paid subscription level so that you can truly enjoy the benefits of mutual massage. The free service will only frustrate your efforts and probably turn you away from what is a very handy tool for discretely finding local people to enjoy both sensual and therapeutic touch with.
Is ther any community in Riyadh saudi arabia i will become a member if any one available i like website with very good reviews.
We have many members in Riyadh.
In 3 years only about 5 massages, a waste of money for me. It could be my fault, but for me no more.
I have been a member of this website for several years it's always a good way to find a great Massage exchange partner.
MassageExchange.com is a community of bodyworkers, bodywork students, and massage enthusiasts to network, practice, explore new bodywork modalities, and exchange massage and other bodyworks for free. Now with nearly 200,000 members and growing rapidly.
When I first started my massage practice, I'd exchange massages with my fellow classmates frequently. Slowly, however, my massage friends either moved away or left the trade. Sadly, this massage giver was receiving fewer and fewer massages himself.
One day, with a particularly bad back ache, I realized that I had no-one to trade with. Unfortunately, trying to network with others in order to find trading partners proved difficult, time consuming, often even embarrassing, and ultimately unsuccessful.
An idea was born — Why not a massage networking site for those looking for massage exchange partners?
Regarding #2: Viewed notices can be disabled in member's preferences
Regarding #3: ME creates NO fake accounts. WE NEVER send fake system e-mails. The e-mail you received was from a real member interested in you. It's regrettable that you imagined it was fake. It was real.
