As a bait and tackle store, Mastry's has been in the community for many years and is very popular with the locals, providing fresh caught seafood. They also sell a nice selection of fishing gear. I found Mastry's several years ago and liked their sunglasses. Prices were low and had a nice selection that I can wear on my motorcycle to keep the wind and debris out of my eyes. They usually sell for around $12 - $20. I was there today to buy a pair, the salesman sold me a pair for $28, a bit pricey. When I asked for a case to put them in, he pulled out an old box full of cheap slip cases that previous buyers had left behind. He told me that. I asked him if there was a charge for one. He told me $3. When I expressed my surprise at being charged $3 for a discarded case, he said "Well, if that bothers you, how about $2?" I paid the $2 and will never go back to Mastry's again. I can find the sunglasses at other places cheaper, and am not charged for a discarded slip case left behind by a previous customer, retrieved from a junk box below the counter.
Tip for consumers:
For fresh seafood, a great place to shop. For sunglasses, go to a modern, reputable vendor.
