Just wish their jeans would Hold up an not Rip or Tear within a few Months. I bought my Jeans in October of 2023, an the Belt Loops already tore off, now the Thighs are Tearing already and I've only had them for 4 months. They need to do better on their Quality of Jeans. Instead of making them so Cheap. I have a pair of Torrid jeans that are a Starting to tear after 4yrs of having them.
I recently purchased 3 tops. I have received 2 of the 3 and one of them had a clearance tag on it. I was charged $19.78 for one of the tops online and it was sent to me with a clearance tag on it for $7.98. They are blatantly taking advantage of the online shoppers. We trust that you are honest and reputable and when you think we aren't looking you take money out of our pocket! I WAS a loyal long term customer but once I have spent my gift cards I will not longer be a customer. I'm super disappointed, I loved your clothing! Try harder to be better than your current practices!

I used to absolutely love Maurices! It was my goto store being plus sized. They had tons of variety and cute styles for plus styles, whereas lots of other stores have the plus size looking like granny clothes. But ever since they did the huge store redecoration and made the plus size section less than half, it's just disappointing! Used to they had the same styles for plus as the regular, now they don't. Used to I'd have 5 or more different choices I wanted and now it's maybe one. I usually leave the store disappointed! I haven't tried online because I prefer to spend money in person. Also I'm just so so tired of the flowy pilgrim 70s shirts. Can we actually have cute styles again? Don't advertise in variety of sizes and styles BS when it's limited for sure!
Walked out of the Bennington store because the manager wouldn't leave me alone. She asked what I was shopping for, I replied just looking, and she asked me about 5 questions without giving me time to answer. My head was spinning! There's a difference between customer service and being obnoxious! What happened to that store? Never going there again!
I really like the design of their clothing. They're style are super cute and unique. However, the materials they use for their clothing a really cheap. Non of the pieces I have purchased have lasted more than a year. For the amount they charge for their clothing you would expect good quality but they fail at this. I am close to paying of my credit card with them and will never shop at their locations again.
Over the past few years I have spent hundreds of dollars on jeans because I really like the designs. Most of the time I get silver brand which has ran about $98 a pair. The last a few months and then tear at the crotch area. I just keep buying more because they are my favorite but have the same problem. I have my old jeans that I bought costing only 19 a pair and have had them for years with no tears. I am at a loss because I like the jeans but feel I am wasting my money on something that only lasts a few months.
I shopped at maurcies my one to go store for years. Every thing now 2016-2017 is to big. There extra small now don't even fit. There tops look like maturity tops there so long and everything now has to be layered which is then to hot to wear in the summer. Go back to clothes that actually fit women under 5'3 that doesn't have to be layered. If something doesn't change these maurcies store will all be closing because everyone I talk to has stopped shopping here.
I paid my account in full and later figured out that there was a $9 fee for a payment applied yet that day... they never mentioned the $9 fee for that...which they then charged a late fee on for $6 when I had paid the balance in full.

I sent a return in almost two months and gave proof of tracking. They told me it takes 30 days to process. I was concerned the items would be lost. Every time I contacted them, they had no idea what I returned and needed me to tell them the order and items each time. Every time the call ends they say another 3-5 days and it is being sent to the sales auditing department. I see this is a pattern and I am out 150.00.
My local Maurices store in Lacrosse, WI is HORRIBLE! Every time I go in there they are not only rude but they follow you around like a lost puppy. On top of that they try and get you to buy anything they grab off the rack. When I was looking at boots they said 50% off. I go to buy them and they came up FULL price even though it had 2 different sale signs up. I told the employee that and of course she had the other girl go take them down. I said fine I dont want them and she called me a $#*! under her breath. I had no problem returning the gesture to her as I left the store.
I ordered 9 items on the 10th during a sale then they cancelled 7 items a few days later "due to unavailable inventory or unforeseen circumstances", but they were still selling the same items, only not on sale any longer! They didn't want to sell on sale what they could sell at full price?! What a waste of my time.

I have yet to receive a single email from them regarding my take 10 points. I have talked to them several times and keep receiving the run around. They keep saying oh! You will be getting an email with your points. I have been at this for 5 months anfor still no email. I have spent over $1000 this year alone at the store, which = $100 off a purchase. Have yet to receive it. - Furious, no longer loyal, customer!
Even though the prices were to steep for my taste, I found the in-store experience to be great! They immediately engaged me in conversation, actually found clothes for me, and checked up on me while I was trying on clothes. I'm a sales floor associate at a different store, and they inspired me to do better on customer service where I work.
I ordered in November. Almost a month after ordering I still haven't received my order. After being concerned I chatted with customer service via text message and also live chat. After getting nowhere multiple times I decided to call. It had been over 10 days with a package sitting in La La Land. And now they tell me I need a claim number from my post office. I spent over $600 with this company in the last two months. They wouldn't do anything for me were extremely rude on the phone and told me they wouldn't help me until I had a claim number from the post office. Completely ridiculous I will refrain ordering from this company here on out
The clothing from Maurices is great! However ordering from the site is not. They charge you account double what the purchase if you pay with a checkcard. I ordered over 100.00 worth of merchandise and had an over 200.00 hold on my account and they it can take up to 1-5 business days for it to fall off. That's not good business.
I sent back THREE returns in separate packages at different times... NONE of them have ever been processed to this day and it has been a couple months now. I was told they have no way to check any of them when I called. So I am beginning to think they are just going to keep my money and the merchandise I sent back too. Do NOT order something you might have to return!
I spend probably around 200 dollars every 2 months at this store online and have loved everything I have received. They have great promotions and reward constantly and the quality is amazing. I have jeans, jacket, shoes, purses, tshirts everything they sell and it all washes very well.
I wear the same size Jean every where I shop. I ordered jeans from Maurices, same size I always buy from any other business and they are way too small. They need to put on the website clothes run smaller than other plus size store Co. Or on certain clothing the sizes run smaller. I don't know if anybody else has had issues with jeans from Maurice's... I probably will not buy from them again though.
I placed an order on Nov 12. Did not ship until Nov 19. States will not receive until Nov 28. Wow. I could have drove to another state and bought and drove back home faster than Maurices shipping. Also states they do not charge you until your order ships, that's not true. I was charged as soon as I placed my order.

I wanted to like Maurices. However, the general quality of their clothes is awful. Their sizes are often not accurate. Unless you can get something from the Clearance rack when shopping at the store (so you know the size will fit you and you can see the quality), I would not recommend this place. I have found similar items elsewhere for better pricing, and better quality. I have bought a couple tops from them at decent sale prices (which even the sale rices were still high, esp for the poor quality) but I can tell these tops will not last longer than a year or two-and I baby my clothes! But that will be the extent of my Maurices shopping. Unless they start getting better quality items, I will pass.
I am not a clothing snob or anything, but the overall quality of their items is just poor. And they are over-priced! I would not recommend them unless you have a lot of disposable income and don't care about items lasting more than a season.
Recently made a purchase on-line and had items delivered to Maurices in Danville IL. Ordered 2 items, a pair of sandals and a $50 gift card. This was to be a birthday gift for my daughter to be picked up by her at the store. Sandals came in but no one seems to know what happened to the $50 gift card. We have been to the store twice now and keep getting told Fedex has not delivered it yet. Well, my email says Fedex has delivered it! Very unhappy with my very first on-line purchase with Maurices. Also, so far no emails have been answered and can't seem to speak with someone in customer service due to being on hold for up to 20 minutes and sales clerks at the store just keep saying they will call corporate.
Never received my rewards points for an online purchase three weeks ago. Then a pair of shoes i ordered was on backorder, why are they selling things they dont have? Reporting to the BBB... do NOT SHOP HERE

Logging into my account today I notice I never got my rewards points for my order. Call customer service amd was told my account was closed. Why? For the bbb complaint. Pretty sure retaliation is a bad choice on their part. THEN I find out they MERGED my account with my daughters without permission or notification! Highly illegal! What if I were estranged from my daughter, then my financial info would be accessible to her! Told me they escalate it and i should hear in TEN days. Thats another 10 days of my private money info being on someone elses account. Lawsuit, here we come. Avoid this trashy company. The ceo gets lauded as this wonderful guy but he runs this company like a shady mafia that takes revenge on customers for complaining. Disgustingly immoral.

I was a first-time customer with Maurice's on line. I order a cute plaid shirt in my usual size. It was too small. When I went to see about exchanging it, that is not an option. I have to return the shirt (and pay shipping again), then re-order on line and pay shipping again! I'm not going to do that, but I will end up paying $14 to ship both ways and end up without a shirt! There are too many options with free shipping for me to bother with Maurice's again.

I love this store, not sure why so many bad reviews. Never had bad customer service experience and I have shopped at every Maurices on the East coast. Online experiences have always been great, no issues with exchanging anything. Clothes have always been true to size and great quality. Pretty much the only store I shop at, and i constantly get compliments on my clothes. Love, love this store.
I paid $7 for shipping when I ordered a pair of jeans. I ordered them in the short length as I am 54. Jeans are too long. They have an extra short length but will not do an exchange. I have to return jeans via UPS and pay for that plus they charge $6 for return. So I have paid $7 for shipping, guesstimate $6 or $7 to return via UPS plus they deduct $6 for return. That means I am paying $19 -$20 for nothing. What kind of customer service is that? It is called getting played. I will never do business with this company again.
I started shopping at Maurices in the 90s. I don't remember much about their style that long ago. However since around 2010/2011. Their clothing has went down hill. Idk who is in charge of the plus size clothing. But it looks out dated, way too short for plus size, and like something one would find at a thrift store/Goodwill. It's like little house on the prairie meets 95 year old grandma@ goodwill. Email me. And fire whoever is in charge of plus size clothing
