I ordered a roof rack kit for my Golf in May, 2021. Impressed by videos showing installation and features. Even more impressed when kit arrived in Canada in about ten days and proved to be exactly as advertised. Well designed and precisely and solidly manufactured for a perfect fit - as good or better than anything else on the market and an excellent value.
Wrong item delivered. I never open nor touch the product because its not what i bought. Costumer service never reply for days. Return department did respond, 'Can return the item at your own expense. Wont refund if the product is damage.'
BUYER BEWARE: Bought a tow bar which arrived promptly. Then it was all downhill from there. Two separate mechanics showed me how the parts were incompatible with my car. Micks garage would not except this as their computer told them it was the correct item. Yes I received the item I ordered (which was Micks garage argument) but the part itself was not fit for purpose, the plates are two wide for the chassis. However customer support were unable to understand that fact and kept repeating that I'd received the ordered item. "Computer says no" although in real-life the tow bar would not fit my car and was useless to me. As of right now customer service at micks garage cannot fathom how they are responsible for selling me a useless tow bar. After a solid week of emails and frustration this means I am down the cost of the tow bar, the garage, my time and the cost of returning the items. €36 photographed and recorded because I just don't trust them at this point. Micks garage you owe me money.

Still nothing after yet another week after MIKEY'S promise to sort out the non-delivery of the oil ordered in March and we are now in May, following my post on 23 April (see below) to secure an immediate refund but of course, these people are total cr*p and must be scamming purchasers - DO NOT USE as you will likely not see your order delivered and at best their customer service means "do nothing and hope the purchaser goes away"!
Brought a set of 4xhecko deflectors, 2 of 4 damaged, no bubble wrap used on delivery, no response from seller :( why? Piss poor service, dont use is my suggestion.

Ordered a wheel bearing kit for my car (according to their website using their registration model matcher). They sent me the wrong item. They advised me to return it using and I would be reimbursed within 7 working days at the latest, and that I should order a different item.
This i all did, and incurred the returns cost also, and the cost of the mechanic storing my deconstructed car until the new part arrived.
2 weeks later, I've still received no refund. They demanded I get confirmation that it was delivered from the post office - which I did. Then they claim the post office never gave it to them despite having evidence to the contrary. When I challenged them on this, they started raising their voice to me, and kept talking over me insisting I am wrong.
Lucky I used paypal so I can force a refund from them. This is the benefit of using a secure payments method.
This outfit are incompetent scam artists with shady employees. Beware and do not use them.

Horrible customer service experience and misguiding return policy...
I ordered a dash cam from them and tested but didn't like the fact that it would heat up very quick and some other features.
I wanted to return the product as it says "*hassle free return*" on their website if I'm (customer) not satisfied with the product.
I reached out to them asking for return instructions but they declined to send me the return label.
They said that the product is used/tested and they can't accept it... and I asked them: how can a customer would know if he/she is satisfied with his/her purchase if the product is not tested?
I didn't get any response back because they know that their return policy is misguiding.
Their customer service team is just a bunch of incompetent people...
I was offered a free hardwire kit by micksgarage and when I accepted it, they simply sent me a link where I could purchase.
I mean why would you offer a free hardwire kit for a customer if you are only going to send them the link to purchase it?
It just shows that they don't take their customers serious. They just want their customer's money and that's all.

Took over a week no dispatched order they did not have product so ask for order to be cancelled on 7the September they got email and sent order out on the 8th September anyway half missing.
I ordered roof racks for my car the end of July and finally received them, to find out they aren't for my car. Even though their site said they were for my car, they forgot to mention for a European model. They forgot to mention that and I'm in the US. I am beyond pissed at this company. We have emailed their customer service and they said to return them and that they will send an email with a return email. They did that, but they aren't responsible for the shipping cost. So I took everything packaged back up and went to ship them out DHL and they gave me a quote of $800.00 dollars from the US to Ireland. Are you kidding me, after I only paid $140.00 including shipping! Still trying to get them to take ownership for their mistake and we just keep going round and round. Not worth sending them back. Sent out our last email last week and they haven't responded. They even have videos on youtube showing installation, but never talk about their product being just for European vehicles. They ship to the US but their products aren't for our vehicles here. Pissed and I will never purchase anything from them. This is not over!
I bought a set of wind deflectors, one had bad defects from the moulding process, I logged a problem with my order, they did contact back with an automated email, I posted them a photo, which they said could I send more as it wasn't a very clear photo, I sent another 4 which highlighted the defects more clearly and I've heard nothing back, I posted a further 5 emails but they have never got back to me, I will not be buying from them again

On June 16 I ordered a roof rack from Micks Garage for my 2016 Toyota Corolla Im. As per the tracking number the rack left Micks on the 06/16/2018 and left Ireland on 06/19/2018. On 06/30/2018 I inquired about the whereabouts of my roof rack. On 07/02/2018 Mickey Hynes replied to my inquiry and stated that it normally takes 7 to 10 days to reach the USA and sometimes the packages will get hung up in customs. On 07/07/2018 I received my roof rack from the post office, it was missing at least 12 parts required to build and install the roof rack. The parts I did receive were badly damaged and the package was at one time destroyed and taped back together. The tape job covered a huge percentage of the surface area of the box and it had no visible openings. On 07/09/2018 Micky Hynes replied to my email stating that they were conducting investigations with US customs and USPS because because they had sent a complete roof rack kit and sometimes parts get separated during shipping and most likely those parts were still in their possession. I replied asking if he had read my concerns being that the missing parts were only part of the issue I had. He responded and stated that he did read and understood my concerns. After two days went by with no response from Micks garage I filed with paypal on 07/13/2018 (while I still had the time.) On 07/19/2018 I received a return authorization from Micks garage to return what I had received from them. I emailed them to ask them if they would be supplying a return shipping label and I received a response from Tadhg Benson stating that they do not supply return shipping labels.
I have since photo logged and and boxed everything Micks garage has sent me and I brought it to the post office to ship it back, they quoted me $70.00 to ship the incomplete damaged roof rack parts back to Ireland. So, needless to say I held off shipping them back because they have stated repeatedly that you have only 30 days from the date of the order to return your items. I am well beyond that and I'm willing to bet Micks will burn me on their 30 day clause and Ill loose another $70.00.

Shocking experience dealing with this company. I ordered a set of wind deflectors for a Golf, they acknowledged the order and the following day emailed me to inform me that my order had been cancelled because they could no longer dispatch from their warehouse due to COVID. Of course I accepted the cancelation due to the circumstances and ordered the wind deflectors from another supplier. About a week later their cancelled order arrived on my doorstep. The returns process was arduous to say the least and in my opinion is designed to hinder the customer rather than facilitate a successful return. The return address provided on their website is incomplete so the Post Office won't accept it, the cost of the return is astronomical being as they are based in Dublin. I wrote to them suggesting they make a 50% contribution towards my return postage costs which I thought was more than fair of me given that I had no idea the items were going to be delivered. I received the curtest of responses essentially refusing point blank what I believed to be a very reasonable request.
The icing on the cake was the closing signature from their customer care team ‘Have a great day Robschulp!'
An expensive and unpleasant experience from one of the least customer-centric businesses I have ever had the displeasure to deal with.
A shambolic business with zero regard for their customers.
Inevitably operating at this shoddy level is one day going to impact the wrong person, in this instance a magazine and media professional with over 30 years experience working exclusively in the motoring press and a list of contacts as long as my arm….

I bought a set of wind deflectors for my sons car, they cancelled the order because they couldn't deliver it, I sourced the width deflectors elsewhere, they then delivered the canceled order, which I returned at great cost and then refused to refund or even part refund my postage despite the fact that the they were 100% at fault

The world of internet shopping has taken over and it really should be a good thing to have a choice without trapping round from shop to shop by car or by foot, However I feel that businesses whom operate over the internet have a responsibility to resolve their issues in an acceptable manner.
MicksGarage most certainly don't have any concern regarding resolving their mistakes.
I purchased a set of Roof bars for my car where I put in my Registration number and their system identified the bars required. As i needed the roof bars for my holiday (9 days away) I didn't want to risk not getting them so I paid for next day delivery (They arrived two days later on Saturday instead of Friday) The roof bars were the wrong size for my car being about 10 inches too short.
Had to then wait until Monday to contact them as they only operate Monday to Friday. When I did phone the rude man on the other end of the phone suggested they were the right bars as he had sold hundreds of them and that I was wrong! When I returned home from work I took photo's to prove that the bars were wrong,
However as by this time they had closed for the evening they didn't receive my email til Tuesday.
They then had to admit I had been sent the wrong ones and said I would need to send them back for a refund and then re-order a different set, I asked them to send me the correct bars by courier and I would give him the incorrect bars to return, Their reply was simply "NO WE CANNOT DO THAT" So with Micks Garage resolution Clearly this is not possible to achieve before i go on holiday on Saturday! Needless to say I will certainly never use them again.
BUSINESSES LIKE THIS SIMPLY SHOULD NOT EXIST IF THEY CANNOT SEE IT AS THEIR RESPONSIBLY TO PUT RIGHT ISSUES THAT THEY HAVE CAUSED IN A SATISFACTORY MANNER, I WASN'T ASKING FOR COMPENSATION SIMPLY THE PRODUCT THAT I HAD PURCHASED FROM THEM!
