Best prices on tennis apparel and equipment - I stumbled upon this site when I was looking for a pair of tennis shoes that had just come out. Lots of places sold them at retail value, but not Midwest sports. They had them listed on sale! So now, when I'm looking for tennis anything - equipment, apparel, accessories, etc. - this is my go-to site. They offer current and older items (at marked down prices) from a wide variety of brands. They even have a 115% price guarantee, whereby they will match any advertised price by authorized retail dealers for in-stock items, plus 15% of the difference. Shipping is prompt (with order tracking) and their customer service is excellent.
Strung a new racquet with 3 knots all over the place, order was late by 1.5 weeks when they advertised 2 day shipping. Customer service is non existent - stay away even though there pricing looks competitive, you will pay with time and money in the end.

Most irresponsible customer service ever seen.
Order Tennis shoes on 30 June, still now there is no trace of my shoes when contacted every time they simply say we are working with UPS on investigation to trace.
Never I would recommend any one approaching this firm for any requirements
Will never ever buy anything from this company. I have the same complaint as so many others regarding returning a tennis racquet: store credit only, minus shipping fees, hidden charges, etc. Wish that I had read all the bad reviews before purchasing a racquet here... the worst customer service also. Clever they are, they only post good reviews on their website... terrible.

Most of these complaints seem to be focused on returns. I suggest you demo at your local store and order from the website when you KNOW what you want. I ordered a pre-strung racquet that showed up the next day! My wife also ordered a racquet for me that needed stringing, took about 5 days to get to us, but really not that big of a deal. 5 days is still pretty darn fast if you ask me. When she did call to speak to customer service they were very friendly and helpful.
I bought tennis shoes from Midwest Sports and they were too small so I sent them back for a refund. They received them 5 days ago and still have not acknowledged receipt. Fortunately I have a tracking receipt. Why did they remove funds from my credit card account immediately when I purchased the shoes but it's taking them so long to return the funds? There is something seriously wrong with a business that delays refunds like this. I will never purchase anything from them again.
This company clearly is not very aware of Amazon's practices and/or the meaning of 21st Century customer service. They have twice sent the same wrong shirt and one instead of two and then argues lengthily with me on the phone.
You have plenty of choice for tennis equipment. Shop elsewhere.
Bad experience at Midwestsports.com. Ordered my items on Sunday and by Friday I get an email letting me know my order will be 2-3 days late. I called them and found out the reason was one of my string order was back ordered. I agreed to test a substitute string and it was to be included free with my first shipment. The test string did not arrive when I received my package the following Tuesday. I then called them again and spoke to Steve Smith, who according to him was the manager and later the vice president. He now refused to ship me the test string stating there is nothing he can do for my order and there is no note of this test string. Did I talk to a ghost on Friday and had a bogus conversation?
I will not shop at Midwestsports.com again and you should not as well. Their shipping is slow (took over 1 week and 2 days) and they do not honor what they promised.
Bad people to be doing business with.
Avoid this company with no customer service support at all. No shipment confirmation, the shipped tennis racquet had damages, rude customer service if you can get a hold of one after none existent online chat and no one picks up the phone for after order support. I should have checked out the ratings before ordering from this company. There's no way I'm returning the damaged tennis racquet to them after reading all the previous reviews.
Tip for consumers:
Good luck getting any sort of refund or assistance if you've an issue with the order. Rude customer service if you can get a hold of one, none existent order support on the phone (no one picks up), and the online chat service never works.

I don't know why i decided it was more important to save $15 ordering from Midwest Sports than to get my stuff from Tennis warehouse, well 4 weeks later Im paying the price. They do not offer the 6 month guarantee like Tennis warehouse. When I called them their customer service person told me to send the shoe back to them, thankfully i looked at their reviews and decided i better call again... and yes, this time i was told they do not honor the guarantee.
Placed an order and it was lost in the transfer to UPS. Took the company four weeks to process a credit... every excuse in the book... inventory, glitch in communication between departments, needed a different authorization. Would report this company to the Better Business Bureau if I thought it would make a difference. I would recommend using any other tennis apparel website other than this one.
In summary, they took away my money taking the advantage of knowing my credit card details
They stole 85 dollars of shipping fees and nothing reached me. They returned the items and refunded me their price only but not the shipping fees.
I advise everybody not to deal with them
Midwest Sports sends you package to the wrong address. I saw that the address was wrong on the Pay Pal confirmation email. I sent an email to Midwest Sport telling them that the address was wrong, And them never sending a shipment conformation email. They tell me that the email provided is not monitored but they can have the package retrieved. After waiting days to have this done and no contact or update from them. They say they did everything they are going to do and that I would have to make a new purchase.
There customer service is horrible they don't care about the customer only about taking your hard earned money!
I recently ordered two sets of Wilson Cushion Aire Classic Contour grips for my tennis racquets. They were delivered timely but I found when one was installed by my tennis pro that the raised contour of the grip was not the same/not as pronounced as my old grip. My tennis pro explained that Wilson around 18 months ago or so had changed the size of the contour but had gone back to the older, more pronounced contour a good 6 months ago or so. I was never told this by Midwest nor was it part of any description of the product on their site. It is disappointing that this information was not supplied in advance to avoid the inconvenience and frustration of having to return the item.
I had ordered an item, received the incorrect item, shipped back the incorrect item for EXCHANGE. Waited over a week and never received it. I finally called to ask the status of my item and the incompetent workers decided to just not send it, but instead cancel my overall order. I will never be ordering from midwest sports again.
I spent thousands on their site on tennis gear over the past 2 years. They wouldn't price match for me. I had a choice between purchasing between the Nike site and the Midwest Sports site for Black Friday but chose Midwest Sports because I wanted to give them my business. I should have just purchased the shoes off of the Nike website because Midwest refused to price match and the shoes were sold out in the time it took Midwest to get back to me. It would have saved them maybe 20 dollars. I know it's not that much, but it's the principle of the thing. Additionally, the customer service rep on the phone was rude.
I am returning all of the items I purchased recently (several hundred dollars worth) and will never buy off of their site again. TennisExpress has better deals anyway.
I returned a pair of shoes on 8/17/20. The returns department says I will get a refund in 7-10 days. I called on 27 and three times following that day. No one returend my calls. Then I went in as if I was placing an order. The guy gave me a nonsense story about post office and said they meant 7-10 business days. Now its over that time still no refund. I have bought thigs before but this was the first time returning stuff. Horrible, third rate company. I will get my money back whatever it takes and then its farewll this joke of a company. -5 stars.
I bought a tennis racquet... didnt not remove packet on the handle. Etc...
Returned the racquet of trying tennis ball with a few shots, felt that it isnot going to work for me.
They cut 25 percent of the cost of racquet on returning and also the remining 75%, they are sending a gift card.
When I asked the customer service replied that it is their policy... this is the last time I am buying from midwest. Worst service.
I ordered some items since the Black Friday. Initially they back ordered a bag which was a gift with the racket saying that it wasn't available and it would be available 15 days later. I sent them that I preferred to wait until its availability. To summarize the drama that happened later; after 65 days since I had ordered, they sent me that my items returned back to them by mistake and they couldn't refund me the shipping fees. They delayed me and wasted me the chance of buying from another website in addition to stealing my money
This is the worst experience I've ever encountered
Sleezy company. I called to change my order before my order shipped. Customer service told me they couldn't change it because it had already shipped out - this was not true. They could have changed it (a size change). Now they tell me I have to pay for return shipping. Stay away from this company - they're sleezy!
Hard for me to understand the bad reviews. My husband and I have been ordering for years, impeccable service, great advices, prompt shipping, fantastic selection, great prices, no hassle return.
I ordered my shoes online on Sunday and received them as promised on Tuesday, yes I paid the extra for them to get here in 2 days but still, I love my new shoes and will be looking your way again in the near future
You are better off buying from Amazon or a better quality retailer like Tennis warehouse. I just lost half my money on a purchase because they sent me defective product and would not return my money.
I ordered 2 pairs of sneakers. They shipped the sneakers and released the package to someone neither Midwest or I know. The person signed for the package. Midwest refused to reship the sneakers or issue me a credit while their carrier and they do an investigation.
I have made many purchases from them in the past without a problem so they have a history with me. They apparently don't care.
I WILL NEVER BUY FROM THEM AGAIN.
