Was browsing around for a software for my business. They seem to have an awesome tool. Not using it, but have heard good things from friends.
MindBody operates with defective information, illegal rules and horrendous support. Their customer support is poor and inconsistent. Multiple service employees never have the same answer. I purchased and paid for license and merchant account in 2012 but they do not consider me the owner; they told me my employee who was hired in 2018 was the owner and was the only one who could make requests or changes. This is outrageous and illegal. I am the owner now when I want to cancel the contract as studio is closing. MindBody makes cancellation of the license and merchant account unnecessarily difficult. Their only concern is to squeeze as much money out of the business. They could care less that the studio is closing down. This is an incompetent and greedy company. Stay away from them and find a different platform.
10 years I was with this company. I had a conversation with a tech about options as their service was becoming increasingly expensive and not a good fit with my studio. They assured me there would be no problem with checking out other software and not to worry I could extend my subscription at any time. Today after 6 hours on hold I was able to retrieve my sales and payroll info for 2019. Totally unnecessary stress place on a client of 10 years. How is this in line with our wellness industry? Parasites. Avoid if at all possible.
Have you ever watched a company get worse every year well this has been Mind Body. I have been with them for 15 plus years I'm switching finally because it has just been beyond painful. The process to get my information has been awful!
I am simply trying to change my email and name associated with my mind-body account so that I can login and use the app for the yoga studios where I practice.
We have been trying to resolve this issue now for over three weeks. The mind-body people are no help whatsoever.
I actually had one person tell me she couldn't help me any further because her shift was ending and that she would be happy to put me back on hold to wait for another representative.
When I asked to speak to a supervisor, she indicated that there was no supervisor that would be willing to talk to me.
This is absolutely ridiculous.
I would've given them a "no star"rating. But you can't submit this review without at least giving one star.
Mindbody never took my account out of onboarding. I was charged for a entire year plus 30 days even after I let them know I wanted to cancel many times. I was being charged for services which were never provided. They would not let any appointments be booked as they needed to release the account into an open status which they never did yet felt they should continue charging me. If an account is not open for business how can you continue to charge the end user?
All in all, it's an overpriced website, and when you try to cancel either you can't or they will bill you for another month as per their terms and conditions as stated in their fine print. Beware of this company and stay far away.

I don't know that I have ever had a smooth buying experience with MindBodyOnline. I was reminded of this just now, trying to purchase a day pass for a workout studio in Washington DC. I could not seem to get access to the system, despite several password resets and even creating a new account with an alternative email.
I don't understand why they can't have a smooth purchase experience that lets you buy whatever pass or subscription you want. Business owners beware: this software probably causes a lot of would be attendees to abandon their attempt to purchase from your business.
Mindbody is an overcharging gimmick. Signing with them is the same as signing your life away. MB is figuratively a Toyota Corolla priced that of a Maserati. Scrutinize their cancellation policy before you buy because it seems you're basically stuck with them FOR LIFE.
Just a little over 3 weeks ago, I tried to cancel in writing and email (per the fine print of their Ts & Cs) after I found a better and cheaper CRM, Booking, payment, etc. all-in-one service for SMEs, but Mindbody's response is that they're "... experiencing a high volume of emails. Thank you for your patience!" No word in response to snail mail.
They just charged me for the new month, which shouldn't be since I sent in my request to cancel nearly a month ago.
Their tactic is to NEVER respond to your cancellation request so that you're charged indefinitely. Hopefully I'll be done and through with Mindbody before I die of old age. *sigh*
Impossible to figure out totally in-user-friendly! It has never worked without a problem for me with 3 studios - it is like you don't already have the app when you try to add studios - they just want you to look at the deals and adds and don't provide a real service.
From a User (not a Provider's) experience, this is a shockingly bad platform.
Laggy, bad formatting (not all options are viewable - or scrollable on the screen). And *every* time I have logged on, I have to change my password as it does not seem to remember the last one.
It costs their clients business: I now deliberately avoid using services that require you to book on this platform as it is too much of a battle to use it.
Service providers and Users alike: AVOID
In the three years I have used Mind Body the price has increased from $49, to $75 to $125 per month with hardly any improvement in features! The system is buggy, confuses my clients and far too expensive for what I need it for. Perhaps it's good for the big clubs, but for a small Pilates studio the service is terrible, the price is outrageous and I will never recommend it to anyone, ever.
1. This app does not recognize my password and makes me change it every time i use it
2. Changed the password, tried to sign in with the 4th new password in a month (see above) and received a message to try again multiple times, so I can't screenshot proof of purchase
3. I received the link to join the class i signed up for and received an error message that i had to sign up for it which i had and got the confirmation email and following link.
4. I have a paid membership to the studio (charges are on my bank statement) but Mindbody is asking me to purchase a package to access anything
AND 5. No way to contact them to get help because they require a site code to continue the email form? Wtf is that?
WHY is this such a gigantically huge horror story app?

After signing up for the service 5 days later I tried to cancel my service due to change of my launch date. I was able to cancel but MindBody would not issue a $176 refund as I had not even completed the merchant account application or completed onboarding. If you are a small business avoid this company like the plague!
I call Mindbody frequently to receive support as I am still learning and getting used to the system. Every single time Rebecca answers and is the one helping me - she gives the most outstanding service. She works fast, knows what she's doing, & is super helpful. I feel like my time isn't waisted and neither is hers. She really is advanced in her position and I am grateful to talk to someone who is skilled in their profession and is genuinely helping others. Thank you Rebecca for your help always, I deeply appreciate you!
My new company didn't receive its payouts from mindbody online for 3 months. I brought this to their attention and it took them over 2 months to solve the problem. But wait they only solved 17k and I am still out a little over 3k and they continue not to take responsibility for it but will not let me speak to the merchant processor.
Have tried to cancel my membership for over 6 months. Sent numerous forms. Have in an email that my account is canceled and I am still getting billed every month. Now trying to deal with getting refunds. Steve, a customer report specialist was so disrespectful and didn't get anywhere. Wouldn't even give me his full name. Talked to probably over 15 different people that say they'll get back to you they don't. One person has been helpful. Wasted another 2 hrs on the phone over this today for someone to say there's nothing they can do. I would give 0 stars. I'm out thousands and thousands of dollars let alone time and mind body does NOT support small businesses. Have lost so much money over this
Nothing but constant software issues, prices raises, and now a data breach that will effect my clients. When I started with them, they were a great company but that is no longer the case! Now they're just a bunch of rip-off artists with terrible service and a POS product. Only hope I don't have the same issue of them charging after cancellation like I'm reading in the rest of these reviews.
My advice to anyone else reading this. Do some demos with other providers, there are way better companies out there. Zenplanner, EZFacility, etc. etc.

Then they increased their rates, so i switched to mindbody, hoping the classpass integration would pay for itself.

Sales process was a nightmare. Constant lies and misrepresentations. Non-responsive, unless they need your money. They should be ashamed - reps and managers - you really should find new jobs
Implementation - took months bc you get 60 mins per week of their time. What?!
Ongoing support - average 4 calls per week due to poor software, each time it takes 20-40 mins to get somebody to answer / call back, then they put you on hold for 5-20 mins to research even the most basic reports.
Software itself - i mean, they didn't charge any of my members on 8/1 for 8/1 renewals. Seems pretty basic
Overall, go somewhere else. Even zenplanner + hubspot for sales and marketing would be 100x better than this.

I've worked with Mindbody for 6 months now and have lost so much money. I pay outrageous amounts each month for a software that isn't compatible with safari browser. Most people have iPhones now and use macbook's but unless you walk through each client, new riders and all that you have to clear your cookies, Mindbody freezes up and the page goes white so new clients cannot create an account, therefore goes to another studio where they can create an account. I get so many complaints that they cannot create accounts, it's horrible. When you call customer service they just apologize and state they will be doing updates in the future, this has been going on for 6 months. And now that im stuck into a contract with them, I have to wait until August to leave. Never use this software, it's such a headache.
I don't know if there is a market for this. What began as a simple check for a yoga teacher turned into a 400$ mistake. The yoga class was not good. The instructor looked constipated and her accent was thirsty. She wasn't good and I'm fighting a fine cause it's the old switch o rue
They would not cancel my membership or help me with a business to cancel it. They let you sign up with them but remove the option to cancel your membership online. The customer support is ridiculous. Rude and horrible customer service saying it is not their problem.
Avoid at all cost after 3 phone calls my service is still not canceled and i am still being charged there over the top price that is more expensive then all other companies. After spending 40min to a full hour on the phone each time i would say that should be enough to get things right. All i wanted was my account cancelled. I cant believe these thieves need to lie say its cancelled twice then still have the nerve to charge my account.
This company was very willing to easily sign me up and take my monthly payment for four years! Now i have been on the phone for 2 hrs trying to cancel the subscription. The billing department has been in a meeting and unavailable for 2 hrs and unreachable. No supervisors can be reached to help. My payment is supposed to come out tomorrow. No one is able to guarantee that the payment will not come out, nor that someone will connect with me to reach resolution.
It is hard to believe that in a company of this size that NO ONE is available to help resolve this situation.
I asked to speak to the CEO and CFO. I was told they didn't have an extension and she didn't know what "department" "they worked in!
I spoke with them a month ago to change our subscription and was told I would have access to reports in the new version. NOT SO.

This is direct from their professional staff, all because we sell Medterra which is sold at CVS, Target and everywhere else. It's a topical pain reliever. They are constantly down, don't return phone calls, no customer service and they SUCK!

2. We can switch you to our other processor, however, they will do not allow any CBD sales either and will require a letter from you stating, the business will not process CBD with them.

Even tho mindbody caters to mostly spas and salons and gyms and we are Shut down due to covid. They offer no discounts in their services. They don't care that their clients are going out of business they just want you paying the bill. Very unintuitive platform, always has glitches and if you spend the big bucks and have frederick and bowtie (over $500) they just fill you with overlaps. Text from multiple places, worse platform ever and I have researched a ton. I am stuck with them since its too complicated to switch over to another.
I have been trying for just shy of 12 months to cancwl my subscription with Mind Body to no avail. They continue to charge me almost $400 a month for a service I am not using and keep me running around in circles. The frustration and stress is unbelievable! I have explained my situation, the account was set up on my behalf by a staff member while I was nursing a husband going through a cancer battle. Subsequently we shut the business and despite having my name on the credit card they claum I am not the owner of the site. So either they are happy to fraudulently take money from a person they claim has no ownership over the site - for all they know they are using a stolen credit card hypothetically- or I am the owner od the site and they should be expaditing my request.
