Doing a little research before buying stuff I saw that no one would recommend moose jaw. I don't listen to reviews but 5 out of 6 times it was a very good experience. Sometimes you will receive someone else's return in nice condition; you can't be picky for great deals. Every product has arrived promptly, clean, authentic, and in good working order. Everything is new with tags, and shipped in very humorous packaging
I've been purchasing from Moosejaw by preference for years and they were great. Everything changed when they were absorbed by $#*!'s Sporting Goods. Now they can't even validate my Alaskan address (although I receive other mail just fine) and I have a decent amount of Moosejaw store credit that feels all but worthless. Goodbye lifetime returns. Goodbye free shipping to Alaska. Goodbye military, first responder, student, and teacher discounts. I guess I'll just shop at REI and Sportsman's Warehouse where I can still benefit from most of the perks Moosejaw once offered.
I ordered hiking shoes. First impression was they were great but second hike created real issues. Moosejaw listened to my story and replaced with a larger size even after several uses ans several months had passed. I was truly appreciative as the shoes were a bit pricey for me. Thank you for your very helpful and prompt help. % stars +++++.

I ordered 2 (expensive) items from this website; before reading the reviews. Upon finding all the horror stories, I highly debated canceling. But I had read a large sum of reviews stating that their customer service was bad and that it was very hard to get a refund so, I stuck it out.
I ordered 2 items, 1 of which I paid for the other I got with my rewards points. Both items arrived fast, in tact, and in full. Hence the 5 stars.
All I have to say is, I am very skeptical to order from this company again; so I won't be. But I figured in the off chance they're trying to turn it around, my 5 star review would help them.
Moral of the story: your reputation proceeds you.

Was super leery of ordering from here, but they had a jacket that was on sale (200 instead of 275) and hard to pass up. Amazon had it at retail price with 1 day shipping, and I have a trip coming up in a week that I need it for. So worst case, I have a fallback plan.
After my order, contacted Customer Service to verify it would arrive on time. CSR made sure my order would go out immediately, I received the jacket in two days. It's perfect. Customer Service was great, product great, price great... the reviews are daunting, but my experience with them was spot on perfect.
I ordered through Moosejaw for the 1st time and LOVED IT. I ord'd a pair of Keen sandals late-evening 6/16 and already rec'd them in the afternoon of 6/18. They were the best price, exactly what I ordered and just an overall nice experience. To top it off, the humorous emails and web content is added bonus. Whomever writes them has a great sense of humor and I think we could all use that (especially now).
I ordered a pair of gloves from here because I had an old pair of the same kind that was falling apart. I chose large which was the same size as my old gloves and they were massive (poor quality control), returned them. Ordered medium and they were way too tight so I requested a return and exchange. I ended up only receiving a partial refund and no exchange while eating the cost of the shipping because they apparently don't do exchanges if you paid with Paypal. If I had known I was going to be charged for return shipping then I would've returned the second item I ordered with the gloves as well which I used as a filler for free shipping originally since they had a "sale" on the gloves which required a $50 minimum for free shipping.
I was looking for this jacket all over online and finally found it on Moosejaw. Being a little impulsive, I clicked BUY NOW before I read ANY reviews. (Not a good idea!)
So I get to these reviews and was already trying to figure out how to cancel my transaction.
I look up and call one of the locations, ask if they ACTUALLY have the jacket and if it's ACTUALLY new. Yes and yes. (Some of the reviews said they were actually selling used stuff. Gross!)
So I took my chances. NOT ONLY did the jacket arrive BEFORE they told me if would, but it was packaged perfectly and was 100% new.
Someone at the store location told me that $#*!'s Sporting Goods purchased Moosejaw a few months ago. Good to know! Maybe that's what changed the direction of their customer service and reviews.
I had an excellent shopping experience here and would recommend giving them a try!

Moosejaw, I will forever hold you close to my heart for having this Bellroy Apex backpack in Raven that has been sold out for weeks and weeks on Bellroy and other online retailers. You only had one left!
Not only did you have the item in stock, you provided a discount for first responders which won me over as a fan of Moosejaw for life. Your team shipped out the item quickly and efficiently. Thank you for such great experience. These experiences are hard to come by via online retail and you shined like a diamond!

Supposedly walmart owns this company now. So yeah. Worst customer service. I have had several issues now and they just sont seem to care about the customer. Go to backcountry or REI instead. May pay a few dollars more but worth it. My most recent experiences they did a price match and then said "well just pay full price for it and we'll refund difference/ money. "They charged me, shipped item, and then said that they could not honor the price match after all. Worse i needed the item this week and now have to pay for return shipping. Yes. Returns are NOT free. I have had some easy transactions a few times with them and was happy with those. But if there is ever an issue…forget it. Not worth my time.
Tip for consumers:
Make sure you really want the item. Consider a different site.

We originally ordered off of Carhartt for the Force men's shirts. After 2 weeks, we got one in the mail and found out the others had been canceled. So I did a little research and found Moosejaw! Amazing! They had our items in stock, and I paid the $19.99 (although you can choose free shipping) to receive the items the next day! Tracking did not show and I was worried because I wanted them in time for Father's Day (a lot of men's favorites) and low and behold FedEx did deliver them! I was so excited. Opened the package, everything I ordered was there! To make it the best of all, they were on sale for an unbelievable great price! I will absolutely use Moosejaw again! If you're a Carhartt fan, you'll love that they have many items that are typically sold out elsewhere! I'm forever a favorite fan of Moosejaw now! Thank you. A very happy customer here! Not to mention. They have a rewards program that gives you credit back! Fantastic!

Very Risky Purchase. I never review sites but my experience was so horrible that I hoping to save others the stress and money. I was attracted to the site because it seemed like they had a good deals on winter clothes that I needed. About $650 later, I never received the product and have no way to tell where, to whom, or if the product was delivered.
They aggressively contested my claim and, after hooouurrss of speaking with customer service reps, I was forced to pay the $650. No store credit, replacement products, discount - Nothing. A lot of money for me personally and I still needed to buy warm clothes for the winter.
I can't believe this website is legal. It seem incredibly fraudulent. Save yourself the stress and heartache.
I ordered a bike for my wife's birthday - coming up in 2 weeks. They charged my card, and told me it would be shipped in a matter of 3 days. I went about my life until a week + later, they abruptly canceled the order via a quick email. This left me with little to no time to find an alternative gift in the 5 days remaining. I contacted the company and received no response. They clearly screwed up and refused to make good on it.
Plus it took them another 4 days to credit back my card. Don't use this company.
It's unfortunate when a brand you like begins to use nefarious practices. They have recently been posting sales with so much fine print that they never work. They also pitch massive reward points for everything, but then cancel them without warning and take your points. Recently they charged my Paypal account, used a gift card that was also on the order, and then canceled the order. They did not refund to Paypal until I fought with them and they refused to re-issue the gift card.
They also only post good reviews. All of my two-star reviews have never made it onto the website somehow. Look for this business to go under soon. These are tell tale signs of a struggling business. Look elsewhere for your outdoor shopping.
They simply SCAMMED ME - I was buying "Mammut Free 22 Airbag 3.0 Ready" and asked their customer support member if the bag`s got the Airbag 3.0 system included, as it was unclear from the listing - he confidently replied that yeah, it does - eventually it was delivered to me without one.

I'm a big fan of Moosejaw as it's a great mix of responsible retail, fun e-commerce, and fair prices for quality products. I would hate to see the Walmarts of the world destroy great stores like MooseJaw. Demand quality, not crap.
If you are a lover of the outdoors you should definitely check them out. Major brands are available and you get points for purchases. Often have deals running.
I ordered a product from moosejaw that was quite expensive and had never ordered from them in the past. I have to say the experience couldn't have been better, my product came 4 days early and was packed well in perfect condition. I will definitely do business with moosejaw again, without hesitation.

Don’t judge the company on its bad reviews and if you have a good experience make sure you leave a review

Terrible customer service. Ordered a pair of shoes that do not fit. Sent them back as a return and recieved the same exact shoe back in the mail again. Only after contacting them was I told that they do not do exchanges except for the exact item that was previously ordered.? What!?
I am now being told that their policy is for returns only and in order to recieve a refund I must send back the entire order that was placed! (Christmas gifts). Again,? What?! They also have no idea when the shoe size I need will be back in stock as per their cs rep "they do not keep track of stock"... "sorry :("
Their customer service is a joke. We will never be purchasing from them again.
Tip for consumers:
Do not suggest. Shop elsewhere.

I absolutely love making orders with this company. Not only are they very reliable, their customer service is fantastic and the products they sell are wonderful. They shipped the products on-time and received everything on time and in very good packaging. I would recommend this company to everyone looking for outdoor equipment and apparel.
The site is no better than any other outdoor retailer. Prices are exactly the same as their competitors. The Moosejaw bucks is a complete scam. Anytime you use a promo code they reduce the item so it does not qualify for the 10%. The result is a mere 2.5% which is no better than your credit card rewards program and no real bonus to the customer. Additionally the Moosejaw customer service is insensitive to customer experience. This alone is a reason to never shop at Moosejaw.
I ordered 3 diff items. Got email shipment confirmation a couple days later. When I tried to get tracking, it said there wasn't any. Contacted customer service, who said she'd get back to me. Never got back to me, called a few days later, lady said they were out of stock (yes, if all three items I ordered). She said she would issue refund. I was okay with that, stuff happens. WELL it's a little over a month later and I was on my PayPal and noticed that I was refunded a few dollars LESS than I paid. Yeah, a few dollars isn't much (even though it's def owed to me) but what scares me, is that they possibly do this to a lot of customers. Scam a few dollars here and a few dollars there and they are making profit! Wouldn't have noticed this if I wasn't on my PayPal for something different. I don't even get how this could possibly happen with a company, exact dollar amounts are pretty easy to transfer.
I spent over $500 with this retailer and accumulated points which I l
Applied to a subsequent purchase. Moosejaw charged my card full price. So, I called and was promised I would get the difference refunded, plus an email verification. After waiting two days, I called again. Same empty promises. They continued to put me off in this manner until the FULL PRICE charge went through. They NEVER refunded for the points. Since their prices aren't any better than REI, shop there - at least you can actually use your points. Prices are better at Backcountry.com and BicyclesDirect. Don't waste your money at Moosejaw - they do NOT appreciate your business.
Tip for consumers:
That they would not really apply my points to my purchase. That their points program is a SCAM.

I'm not an employee, just a satisfied Moosejaw customer. I read all the bad reviews about Moosejaw not fulfilling orders correctly, and having poor customer service when they did mess up. But I decided to go ahead and try them out anyway, I purchased the Cotopaxi Ostra 30 L pack a few days before Christmas. Moosejaw was the only place I could find that still carried the steezy indigo color! It shipped in 2 days and even arrived a little early! I got exactly what I ordered in a timely fashion, so I can't really speak to the customer service side of things, but for anyone that's worried about ordering from Moosejaw, don't.
I had a horrible experience ordering a large canvas bell tent and having it shipped to Hawaii. The shipping times they advertised and told me over the phone were all wrong. I called to check on my already late order and I was told they were waiting to receive it from the manufacturer and they would ship it right out. Once they received it they sent it to Hawaii by boat! I had to talk to USPS in person at the post office to figure out a 6-8 week delivery timeframe, after it's already 2 weeks past delivery date. I called MJ and they will not offer me a refund. They lied to me and told me 4-6 days after they received and shipped out my already late order. Now I have to wait for months for a tent that will be too late to be of use while they have +$500 they will not return to me. Along with the delays part of my order, the footprint, was lost in shipping and they have none left in stock to replace it with...

Do not believe the advertised shipping or trust customer service. Do no expect to be treated well or have your problems solved.

Ordered SLX 11 Speed cassette 11-40 to replace existing SLX 11-34 cassette. After installing the new one there is constant metallic noise even on gears that completely match gears on SLX 11-34. I've contacted Moosejaw to check what can be the issue and they asked me to contact their Gear Wizards.
So the answer was:
"Very unlikely that it is defective. There could be a TON of more issues. I highly suggest you take your bike to your local bike shop"
Exactly the help I was looking for. Not.

Products were picked up by total stranger. Customer service also never followed up after I contacted them and explained the situation. The refund never came to my account.
I purchased a jacket at 20% and found it at Nordstrom a week later at 30%. It was not the same color so I did not get the price match. I sent the jacket back and purchased in the other color. They lie, don't follow through, and use FedEx. I don't use companies that use fedex.
Tip for consumers:
Don't bet on the price match. They don't follow through.
