Recently, MSN began a very aggressive campaign to place more spam like ads on the home page, having managed to pay to "white-list' many paying advertisers. After installing an ad blocker to control this overwhelming annoyance, MSN is waging a new campaign to try to force me to add their advertisers to my white-list of ads I want to receive, similarly but even more aggressively than the repugnant Windows 10 campaign, filling nearly half the news feed pages with requests to modify the d blocker to allow their paid advertisers. Looks like time to find a new home page. Microsoft has gone to Hell in a hand-basket!

The site itself is not that bad, not so good either. There are some useful news and features, but sadly they are overshadowed by all of the negatives, all of which you can find in other reviews under mine.

MSN blatantly encourages hate, by forcing you to read from the same hateful people everynday since you cannot block them. I guess, in some warped way, it makes sense as they can sell advertising at a jacked up rate based on numbers. From what I can tell, moderation is nonexistent or automated at vest. Moderation seems to be based on key words, with nobody checking the content. The hatred and racism on this site has forced me to look elsewhere for my news.

When you click an ad that catches your eye you expect to read what you clicked on, nope! Fake antivirus scam page loads and making inexperienced users freak out and be scammed. Report the post, still the same, 3 months later, same ad, same page. Reported it now hundreds of times. I am starting to think they are the scammers themselves as this is allowed to go on. Major lawsuit to slap them into reality? Seems like a very feasible idea since there is real harm involved.

Used to be heavy user. List me during election. Check back in every few days to confirm they have are still far left liberal... Almost every Trump story has negative connotation... and ignore any normal/good Trump or Trump family stories. Sick actually. Financial stories seem to be the same... a lot of "sponsored" links and the rest is garbage. What a shame and waste... now they remove comments... Inwonder why? Ha!

The site does not contain news. It is mostly sensational stories, speculation and click bait.

A lot of content is from third parties and generally not news worthy.

The quality is terrible, with many mistakes in grammar and spelling.

Not real journalists. Driving the continual liberal lunacy in this country. One the premier fake Propagandists agencies driven by the liberals. Ruined America with its narratives. Purportedly self promoted as real news, but not real journalistic work. Narratives are sensationalized for content picked out by liberal editors from our most liberal ivy league universities. Their style definitely demonstrates that mind control in universities work. Each news story is driven by the KKK Democrat false narrative that kept women from voting for 41 years and hold black people in inter-city slavery to this day.

I am writing a review just concerning MSN news not other departments!
I have been looking at MSN news for over 2 years now and it is kind of a good way to skim what is going on and wasting time when you are bored, also the good thing is their news arrangements and ease of access, however take every word with a pinch of salt because of bias and twisted words especially in politics regarding certain candidates and on middle east as well, it feels like the news department is seeking to ignite a conflict! Like wtf...

Where to begin? These modernist liberals will only publish their view, their bend. Currently, their relentless condemnation of president Trump, without investigation and evidence, is proof positive that these anti-American journalists are all about agendas and not truth. I will not subscribe to anything MSN. They will never be my news source or homepage--I keep my mind pure of lies and hidden agendas. They and other lying sources are a big part of the cause of the division in our country. Real losers.

If you read many MSN articles, it is very easy to see, that they are a one sided leftist site. Dont think I have ever seen one article that gives our President, a tiny smidgen of credit for anything. They are so in the tank with the leftist that, they have lost any hope of ever being called fair. I dont need your Anti Trump rhetoric, running ad nauseum ever single day. Shame on you and your lackeys. You guys give the internet a bad name. Wake up and see the millions of worker, that the Obama years left behind. You are worse than Pravda.

MSN says they filter junk mail out of your Inbox. But all they're doing is placing disgusting advertising emails into your Junk Mailbox. And, because they occasionally filter emails you want to receive, you have to scan through 150 disgusting advertising emails per day looking for emails you don't want to miss. Like emails from a doctor, or friend, or a trusted company you want to hear from. MSN has been urged to stop this disgusting practice for many years, but because they don't want to reduce the advertising revenue they likely receive, they do nothing. They don't even give its users the ability to design their own filtering mechanisms so this disgusting email doesn't go to their Junk Mailbox. Take a vacation, and you'll be scanning through 1000 emails in your Junk Mailbox when you return. Disgusting!

The AI that moderates comments will block you from saying the phrase "Why are you" regardless of what comes after it. It prevents you from making comments about race, even when the article is specifically about race. It blocks comments that I honestly still cannot figure out a reason for. I don't think there even are human moderators involved, because it will prevent you from even posting a comment it has determined is inappropriate, never giving a human other than you a chance to even review it. It's an absurdly overreactive system, especially for a media company that posts inflammatory news articles and then facilitates discussion of these extremely polarizing topics. Apparently, everyone is just supposed to talk about how much we love puppies and kittens in the comments after an article about a mass shooting or discrimination.

I went on MSN this morning to see the national weather. I was side tracked by an article about worst cities in US. Video ad took up 10% of the middle of the screen and had no way to stop it. This along with regular banner ads all the article was unviewable. This is constant. I have changed my home page and will not return.

Tell me what's wrong with this comment -
"If a person is an adult, and choose to do a particular drug of choice, I do not believe anyone. Especially the government, does NOT have the right to tell ANYBODY what they can, and cannot do. Period.
Think of it this way. We all die someday anyways, and if that's what a person who is a grown adult chooses to do with their life, or part of their life, who am I to tell them "no, they shouldn't be doing that"?
I say legalize it. Leave ppl to do what they wanna do b/c in the end, they're going to whether the government likes it or not. They will NOT win the war on drugs. It's been a fact for many many years, that's just costing the taxpayers more and more money each year.

I use their hotmail, watch their news nightly, and love their site! I can't rave about it enough. I have never had an issue since I opened an account in 2006- that's 5 years of great service! I hope it continues and doubt there will be any problems.

Their whole site is fun! I love it! And you can customize it, which is a HUGE perk!

MSN is the typical leftist media! They are promoting the division of this country. And anyone who has a whit of wisdom knows, that "A house divided, soon falls"! The question is; what house falls? Our government, or country, or your own?

Absolutely the biggest crap website I have yet to encounter. Doesn't get any worse than this. New story about Canada is the biggest load of horse$#*! I have seen in a long time. Where do they get these writers? FAIL

I have found over the years the most false news next to CNN. Its a good laugh to see how anti Trump they are. They hide all the truth about all he things Obama and Clinton have done. So disappointed in all that MSN continues to do.

Years ago I used MSN as a home page and it was fairly good. However now it bombards with ads, it jumps around, it put arrows where I think I'm about to select another page and it puts in a news story that I don't want to read. MSN you have lost the plot. Goodbye.

Total Bias, and Junk news full of Lies and Deception. What happened to truth in Journalism.
Most of the items are banal and full of bias propaganda. Not real news. If you remove the ten or fifteen BIAS main articles, there would be nothing. In a nutshell, nothing more than junk food for the brain, a complete waste of information.

Too many ads!
Time to ditch it.
Going to try firefox. Every day it gets slower and slower. Ads all over the place, labeled "sponsored".
We all know ads bering in operating revenue, but come on this sucks!

If you love the drama then MSN "news" is for you. Articles mention made up statistics or facts to back up their reporting - nurses working 23 hours a day on their 3 day shifts. I work in a hospital, this does not happen, nor do the articles strive to resemble what is actually happening. One sided trepidation is simply what shows up on the homepage.

They got the COVID story all wrong by suppressing the news that it was man made. They are about as useless at breasts on a bull. If it isn't liberal news they don't report it. They have blood on there hands hope none of them can sleep for this.
