This app leaves a lot of questions in my mind. If it's my data, why does it have to go out to a web site then back to me? Why can't the machine produce the reports? This is 2023. Here I've been without data for the past five days and I'm told it is a ResMed issue. If the machine produced the reports and it does the data, I wouldn't have to rely on an unreliable ResMed for my reports. This is unacceptable to me. Why do doctors use this unreliable service? I'll make my complaints known to UNC.
Wouldn't let me create new password, tried to change email, wont allow either bc my machine registered at previous email. No help site, terrible resmed app.
Every other time, I have to log in again, they just said renter or it was my fault. I have used machine for over one year, just started doing this, very agrivating
They send me a link to some app that I can't open. Tried to email them and nothing.
What a waste of $300.
This app is bipolar! Up down up down!, for weeks, Not reliable! Drives me crazy! I'll just use my cpap machine and hope for the best
Platform is frequently down for extended period of time. No notification when platform is down. Look for an alternative.
One star because I can't give them a negative #. How can any company push out upgrades without testing? It's beyond belief.
Two major discrepencies first numbers do not match device and secondly no data sometimes
Removing app
In 2011 I found out that I had very severe sleep apnea. I would stop breathing 92 times per hour! No wonder I was tired all the time. My first machine was a CPAP. It didn't have a computer chip to moniter results back in 2011. It wasn't working, so I got a BiPAP machine from ResMed, a leading company in Sleep Apnea machines. This one had a chip which would record "usage hours, mask seal, events, mask on/off, and myAir score". This helped me monitor my progress. After several months, the sleep apnea "events" (which monitored the number of times I stopped breathing or had insufficient breaths" started increasing again. Sleep specialists can download the chip and see all the data. Finally, I got an ASV machine, also from ResMed and also with a chip.
If you have sleep apnea, I highly recommend that you get a ResMed machine. To register, you input easy information and can then see all of the indicators I mentioned above, in order to see how effective your machine is in helping your sleep apnea.
Because I have such severe sleep apnea, I check my events and scores often. If my events increase, I can bring the chip in to my doctor, he downloads the data, and then he can increase or decrease the pressures of the machine. The myair.resmed.com site also shows you how to clean your equipment and gives you tips on how to better control your sleep apnea.
I don't know how many other companies manufacture sleep apnea machines, but I highly recommend ResMed. Whatever brand you get, get one with a computer chip and take more charge over your sleep apnea and your health. Be proactive and be a team member with your doctor. This site is what you need to do so.
The Jan 2025 update includes descriptions about each data point, and you can't turn the descriptions off. Waste of paging area that I have to scroll through. I don't need to be told the first time, let alone daily. I'm more intelligent then that. It is now a horrible product.
Answer: You will need a full face mask if you are a mouth breather. I switch between breathing from my mouth and my nose, so I have to wear a full face mask. Fortunately, there are newer ones on the market now that are more comfortable.
Answer: Contact the supplier of your machine to have it examined and put into working condition. My chip stopped working, so I brought my machine in to the Respiratory Therapy Department that provides me supplies. They easily fixed it.
Answer: I've had that happen a few times. Sometimes the "system" will parse data for one time frame and if you say take a nap or there is a break in the data, the second set of data will be added at another time, thus updating the information for that day. The updated data will usually be a combination of all the data for that date.
