My builder are money grabbers who take money from trades people when they get shortlisted and never tell the customer that tradespeople have to pay for this service when customers shortlist more than 1 person and they don't get to quote on the job ive reported this to trading standards who are looking into this

I just wanted to say well done to Zac from Boss Gas Installation, he did a great job at remedying a leak on a gas pipe in my ceiling. He was very professional, and patient in finding the leak, he repaired the ceiling and left everything clean and tidy. I would highly recommend him and will be contacting him again and again. Merlyn

I have used MyBuilder.com on five occasions in my properties in Plymouth Devon and Caerphilly and all the builders i have used i have highly recommended. I've used this site a few times and haven't been disappointed yet. The companies on the site have been very good at contacting me when I've enquired about a job and have then delivered a great service.

We have used my builder several times and the tradesmen we have contacted we have found to be competent and fairly priced. We like the fact that you can see reviews of the tradesmen before asking them to quote

We have used MyBuilder for three jobs since November 2014 for flooring, plumbing and carpentery. So far the jobs have been successfully executed and the tradesmen we used left the place neat and tidy. I have tried a couple of other sites before and I find MyBuilder is far better than them and their website is well designed and user friendly. I shall definitely continue to use MyBuilder for our future needs.

I have been using mybuilder.com for years. I have found tradesmen to redesign and install a new bathroom, rewire my office, and install a new lighting system in my kitchen, as well as a number of smaller jobs. It's a very user-friendly system, and I've found brilliant electricians, plumbers and decorators.

Recently had a small job - which involved a level of skill - to fix a TV to a hinged bracket on my wall. Got responses very quickly, and soon was able to hire someone who did a very good job for a good price. Very good service. This is the 2nd time I have used mybuilder.com, and on both occasions, a great service.

I have used Mybuilder on a number of occasions and have always been pleased with the quality of the completed works. The prices have always been as first quoted and all the people involved have been very professional. Would highly recommend.

My Builder.com is a fantastic tool. I have found My Builder to be a terrific site, I have used My Builder on three occasions and each time the jobs have been completed to a high standard.
So I have no hesitation in highly recommending the site.

Got shortlisted for a job, so paid my builder. Went to quote, got job, arranged price, told customer on the day that i was running a bit late, got to the house, no answer, rang and rang, no answer, knocked and knocked, no answer. Went home, 2-3 days work lost, still no replies from texts and calls and voicemails... mybuilder say i dont qualify for my shortlist fee to be refunded.

I have used mybuilder.com several times now, and I have been completely satisfied with the quality of the workmanship, all the guys that I have employed have been courteous and on time, and I would not hesitate to use the site again if I were to need an expert.

As a trademan, I have used MyBuilder for some time. That however has now come to an end due to their RIDICULOUS trading practises. Example:- I was invited to quote for a kitchen. This means the "Customer" found and invited me. Mybuilder then charged me £26.40 to accept the invite. Following this, the customer will not answer their telephone, has not read the messages I sent via MyBuilder, and has not responded to my text.

According to MyBuilder, this constitutes a "valid lead" and there is no recourse for a refund - in fact a flat refusal and standard response letter. This scenario has happened many times.

It is my belief that a lot of leads are completely fictional and there is no way to determine this before the event.

My advice to any traders is STAY AWAY unless you wish to literally give your money away

I had an issue with my boiler during holiday and need a plumber urgently. I could not find one locally in Slough so went to My Builder. And got a call from George within 30 minutes and he could come round within 2hours. As the was during covet 19. George arrived and without 30 minutes fixed the fault and he charged me a reasonable rate which I was pleased with. I then found that he lives on Alasybury. Thanks to Mybuilder.

I've found electricians, Gas Safe engineers and plumbers on this site.
You simply put in your postcode and up come engineers suited to your needs who are near your postcode.
These engineers rely on good reviews from customers and I've found the whole experience rewarding. Well done, to mybuiler.com

My Builder has been a godsend for us! We were having huge amounts of hassle even to get workmen round to quote for jobs and then we discovered the site. Problem solved! I have now posted 3 jobs and the tradesmen I selected have all been local, professional, reliable and good at what they do. We will be using them again but will also continue with My Builder for any new types of work as the reviews give you the reassurance that you are selecting trustworthy companies. I've now posted three jobs on mybuilder 1plastering and 2 electric. Have been pleased with the response from the various tradesmen that have got in touch. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend the plasterer and the second electrician they both did very good jobs. Wasn't particularly happy with the first electrician his work was safe enough but I wasn't happy with the way he left part of the job. So make sure you read the feedback from other customers.

I recently used My Builder to find a plasterer, an electrician and a decorator. In all cases, I received replies to my post very quickly from companies I subsequently hired to do the work in my home. Using the My Builder website meant that I could read reviews of these companies before I asked them to do the wiek. The website also kept me up to date at all stages of the process. I was happy with the service and would recommend My Builder to anyone looking to hire tradespeople.

I used My builder to find a builder well what a load of cowboys my wife and i were ripped of for £6.5 thousand by Complete Property Services from Tiverton Devon his name was Dave Carpenter. Most of the work was done by a complete idiot who couldnt build a straight line if his life depended on it. Dave Carpenter was rude to my wife in the end we were glad to get rid of the firm. Well where do I start. I called Woodward&sons out because we had a leak coming in to my daughter's bedroom They was very fast in responding and Coming out to solve the problem we had. Very polite and Great communication and all work was in my budget would definitely Recommend Woodward&sons

As a tradesman, this site is shocking. You are charged for every shortlist that the *potential* customer makes. The reason I say potential is that a lot of them dont ever answer the phone when you call them, and you end up paying lots of money for nothing. Please do not use this, or rated people - much the same scammy service as this. Instead, find good tradespeople through recommendations and google. You are simply fueling this awful service. Even as a customer, you are likely to find chancers and individuals who claim to be experts in their trade, but are actually fakes and only want to rip you off. Proceed with caution.

I have been with Mybuilder for over 4 years, I have seen many jobs advertised which in my honest opinion have been fake, Mybuilder is not a honest website, they take your money even, I believe they deliberately post fake jobs. I have been shortlisted with fake jobs, and they will not refund you in any way or form even if you contact mybuilder
Really disappointed with there service.
