I really appreciate this helpful site and the way it is organised. Although it needs some fine tuning in terms of checking on the speed of the way tradesmen come back with quotes.
Some take weeks after viewing and agreeing to submit a quote others never do.

I have used mybuilder loads of times, having renovated a couple of houses in recent years. I love being able to read the feedback left by previous customers in order to help with choosing the right person. For a big job, I would advise still asking to see examples of work undertaken. Overall, the vast majority of the trades people I have selected have been great, producing high quality work at reasonable prices. Most of them have been very personable too. I heartily recommend this approach to finding the right person for the job. Sometimes no word of mouth recommendation is available, and I have found mybuilder to be more reliable anyway, as people often recommend friends rather than the best person for the job. Especially fellow trades people rather than customers!

I've used this site for a few things. From having a sinking block paved drive relaid to luxury vinyl tiles laid in the kitchen. I've been impressed with the tradesmen on this site and I will be using them again as I do more to my house.

I have used Mybuilder members for jobs both inside and outside of the house. I can say without hesitation the response to my requests has been amazing. Each trade provided an accurate assessment of requirements and completed the jobs in good time, good order and with the utmost professionalism. Prices given are fair and reasonable. The organisation can be recommended to all walks of life. I will always use in future

Initially a great job and Brian did a good job tiling... we recommended to others however after care service from Karl has been virtually none existent... took 6 weeks for one job to be fixed and on another occasion it took 10 weeks for a replacement item ( that he was supposed to fit) to be delivered - however he didn't have the common decency to do this and left it in the porch! Sorry to say but he has let himself down!

I did not know who to get to do the work I wanted doing and my daughter found this website so it is the first time we have used it. I received a prompt reply within a couple of days.The reviews on each of the tradesmen helped me to choose James, the right one for me.The job was done well. I would use this site again as I found it very efficient and gave me access to a variety of tradesmen.

Did kitchen extension and when not 3 years later roof leaked. I sent text saying it's pouring with rain and its dripping from my ceiling. Later received a text saying there could be a million reasons why there is a stain on your ceiling. Obviously accusing me of lying and washed their hands of it. Do not use Beaumont Builders Ltd.

MyBuilder.com are the worst 'review' website if you want to get
Truthful reviews about the traders they charge commissions from for
Referrals from their site. The business model allows rogue traders who
Change identities to keep old 5 star ratings from closed businesses and
Does not remove rogue traders even when they are given documentary
Evidence of the dodgy activities that led to the trader changing
Identity. MyBuilder are clearly only set up for one purpose - to retain
All the traders they list at all costs to keep their commissions flowing

I have used my builder a few times to find different services, the first time was for a damp course, which in the end i did not need, but for the chap that came out to quote, i may have ended up paying for it when i did not need it, he said i only needed pointing done. Second time was for someone to cap gas fire, he was brilliant, then last week i was looking for a plasterer, but none were available on this site, so used a different service that also looks for genuine tradesmen.

The my builder service is ok.It appears that there are not many tradesman who want to do a days work. Totally different work ethic up here moved from the south.The tradesman turn up there here you are hard pressed to even get them to ring. Yet another tradesman has let us down.Its crazy having to pay extra for our old tradesman to travel 90 miles to Telford to get our jobs done.

I was incredibly lucky to get JB Flooring to help me out. As soon I have put my job request on My builder site Jake contacted me. He is very professional, he really knows his job. He did lot of extra work for us because lot of our carpets needed re-stretching. Nothing was too much trouble for him. I would highly recommend him.

Had a bathroom fitter carry out a re fit of my bathroom, finishing was terrible, told him I was devastated with the work. He came back and put some things right. On his profile he says says he always prides himself in achieving perfection for all my customers. That's a joke! He also claims he belongs to uk trades federation, this is not true. I am considering legal action. I have asked him to return for a second time as still very unhappy and upset by his work. He refused and said his work was acceptable. It certainly is not acceptable. I have had 2 opinions by other Bathroom Fitters for which I have paid for their written opinions, interesting reading.

I joined my guider a couple of years ago and have found it fantastic as have many of my colleagues the trouble with a lot of the one star reviews I'm reading are by people who pay for a lead and don't get the job, well guys all I can say is that you must have either been too dear or didn't make a good impression.
I don't get all of the jobs I go for, that's business I'm afraid.

I knew of no tradesmen and came across MyBuilder.com, what a life saver, easy to use, jobs done quickly and efficiently by tradesmen whose feedback you can read before asking for a quote. Great website for all your jobs.

Young Darren did a first rate job, could not ask for better, clean, tidy, quick just over 3 hours to replace and hang a door then block in the pipe work in my bathroom wife over the moon and if she is happy then the world is at peace.

I have had numerous clients thru myBuilder who uses the feedback system to either extort services for free or as a leverage to go back from the agreed price.
MyBuilder will always blame the tradesmen so as to put themself as a reputable and caring when they are only encouraging fraudsters and thieves to steal the labour of hardworking tradesmen.

For all traders joining my builders be careful has you will be charged without securing any jobs. They are after your money fellas so WATCH OUT. I ve never got a job ever and ended up receiving messages from MB saying that i had outstanding payments in my account. Total rubbish.

Recently I have had the need of several tradesman while refitting my bathroom and getting my shower up and running.
I needed the services of a Plaster, a Tiler and finally a Plumber.
This where, while browsing on-line, I came across MyBuilder.
I could not believe how simple finding a local tradesman could be. You enter your own details, address post code etc, post your job requirements on the site along with who you need, Plaster on this occasion, and within seconds you get a list of that type of tradesman on a drop down list, usually the nearest to you first. Amazing. You then choose up to five Tradesmen to select and then wait for them to contact you via the site with quotes. Through MyBuilder I got a Plaster, a Tiler and finally a Plumber. So easy with all the trade guys doing first rate jobs at really keen prices. So glad I found them and wont use any other site for future work.

MyBuilder is an excellent site for getting those jobs around the house carried out or if you are a property investor as I am, for finding workman for various jobs that need to be carried out. I needed a boiler repair man urgently and put a post out on MyBuilder late last night. I woke up this morning and had 5 heating engineers willing to estimate or discuss the job. I managed to have the work carried out this morning without making hundreds of phone calls and the workman I choose had 100% feedback and I added to this with the same feedback. From my experience MyBuilder is a trustworthy site which is well worth using

My builder service ok, but builder (Kinghorn Construction) disappointing, delayed start date, then no contact from builder for 4 weeks, causing me to have to restart getting quotes from other builders. Very disappointed with lack of professional & communication standards from builder.

I found a builder on the my builder site very quickly ( had 4 builders show interest in just a couple of days)
The one we decided to proceed with seems to be very friendly and appears to know what he is doing

I have used the site multiple times, being able to read reviews has helped pick trades for the jobs, having completed a major house renovation in the last year it has been invaluable, and the best trades that we have had working for us have all came from the mybuilder service.

I am pleased to write an excellent reference on behalf of Gary Townley who repaired our wooden porch door and painted the new wood. The old wood had rotted in places and the repair looks like new. He was prompt and efficient and I would recommend him to others without hesitation.
