I am soo pleased with the job that Ben and his helper Bob have done! He is polite, courteous and conscientious! He has worked efficiently and effectively in digging and planting new borders for me! I love my garden more than ever. Great price. Great service and a lovely person too. Would not hesitate to recommend him... next year I want him to return to re turf the front lawn. Thanks Ben!

I posted an ad on MyBuilder then selected a roofer to install some Velux windows in my house, based on them having decent reviews. Roofer stated he needed a down payment to purchase the windows, which seemed reasonable as it was approx £2000 worth. Roofer has now done a runner and it's only too late that I've looked into what MyBuilder claims is a verified review process: there's absolutely no verification required and anybody can claim to have hired a contractor simply to put reviews on there. Cost me £2000 to find that out

The more information you provide the more accurate the quote you receive. Opportunity to review feedback before you shortlist and make your final selection. Very good site

Tip for consumers:
Provide as much detail, dimensions and photograph if possible. This will enable experienced tradesmen to provide an accurate guide price.

Work started but next day boss went away due to personal problems&only turned up on the 9th day.
1 of his employees asked me for 200 as he was desperate&had nowhere to stay (I was promised the boss would cover it) It turns out he's a cocaine addict, drunk&a gambler&the boss said I was stupid to give him money because I'd fed his habit! Obviously I hadn't been told about this! Needless to say I've been ignored now for 10 days, my calls&texts unanswered. Left in the road was a ton bag of rubble/cement uncovered for several days which all the neighbours complained to me about as their cars were covered then it rained so difficulty cleaning it off. My lovely black limestone slabs look a real state! I was promised it would be cleaned but no one been for 10 days. Edge cement is breaking up&pointing's crumbling. Every slab is stained with cement. I've got no receipt for my £3,000+ & no guarantee. As usual I will end up having to pay someone else to sort out the mess he's left me with. I was so good to his team, bought them lunch every day, even lent the bosses 2 boys a toy each belonging to my grandson which I've repeatedly asked for. I've given several day's notice that I'm taking it to a lawyer at 2pm on Oct 1st but still I've had no response. He quite obviously has moved on to other jobs&simply isn't bothered! Feel very let down&hurt by this

NEVER PAY ALL THE MONEY LIKE ME UNTIL YOU'RE COMPLETELY SATISFIED&ARE IN POSSESSION OF A RECEIPT&GUARANTEE

The most disgusting team i have ever seen, shame on this whole company. They dont give support for tradesmen at all, just ripping them off, they collect all the personal details, and a bunch of money for jobs that never got (maybe unexisting jobs) but THEY DON'T EVEN OWN AN AVAILABLE LANDLINE where you can get help against customer who keeps lying and wants jobs to be done for FREE! Disgusting, if a customer tells any LIE (FALSE COMPLAINT) about the job, they don't give a damn to investigate if its true or not they remove you from the website immediately, RUBBISH, AVOID! DONT REPLY, JUST TO SAY OHH IM SO SORRY BLAHBLAH, FIRST BE HUMAN!

I am interior designer and advertised several time on mybuilder to find skills men/builder for my clients.

I had only one excellent experience the others I haven't even rated them as it was so bad I was shocked by how they misbehaved.
Recently I've meet a builder through them that was the most unprofessional and pretentious builder ever.
He arrived and understood that my clients are quite wealthy suddenly he started to double all cost make some propositions that wasn't required, pretending knowing how to escape council approval ect to sum up a waste of time and such a shame to bring that kind of pretentious person in front of my client.
I couldn't pick him for the job so told him, he was so upset that decided to go on houzz to post a fake negative review.
This is how builders from mybuilder behave, cow boy looking for quick money without manners.
The way mybuilder works is that guys are paying to access client that shortlist them so they don't care that the builder might misbehave as long as money is coming.
Avoid at all cost better having someone from word of mouth than randoms cow boys.

QUBIK CONSTRUCTION IN NORTH FINCHLEY are the worst builders I have ever come across. The partners Navai and Matheous took money but left work undone, rubbish in and out of the home and just run off. The electrician was so rude, and not the least professional. Work was uncompleted leaving family in a very bad state. Be careful as this review is being left to ensure that nobody else goes through such bad painful experience,

I hired Nigel Tomsett N A Tomsett, Property Maintenance in Burgess Hill View others
148 Royal George Road, Burgess Hill, West Sussex, RH15 9SL for building the extension to my house in Eastbourne. He did not give me an estimate but a maximum cost of the project. They wanted to be paid by day and I was buying all materials. We agreed that any cheaper arrangements will make my savings against the maximum cost of the extension. We signed the contract stipulating the time of completion in three months and weekly wages.
I really trusted Nigel and treated him very well. Most of the days they were leaving earlier and they took long breaks which I did not question simply out of respect. On a number of occasions, when I came home unexpectedly, they were having a break at different times of the day. I did a lot of work myself and significant simplifications to the project were made in the meantime, which should obviously lower the total cost. At that time they slowed down even more despite being paid weekly wages including for the hours they simply did not work.
After three months they were in breach of contract and well before completion. Also, without any consultation with me Nigel engaged his friend, a plumber Neil Valentine, and simply added him to the pay list. After 17 days I got an independent opinion about how much work the plumber completed. This amounted to maximum 7 days and he was already paid for 17 days. This caused a loss of £1800. After we parted Nigel refused to correct some small faults, which was covered by the warranty and which I had to pay the new builder for.

It's a great idea, saves time and hassle, no trawling through local papers and phone directories. It's all on your terms, you decide who to invite and to contact. I've had great sevice every time!

My builder really looks after there customers they have quality tradesperson using there sight I'd always go to my builder before any other I feel there trustworthy

I was unfortunate as I advertised in my builder.com to renovate my flat in London completely. I chose Tudor construction services LTD. They were absolutely awful. Everything they did was faulty and awful. There was leaking from plumbing windows etc. The flat downstairs ceiling came down nearly killed people. This was only a part of the problems there was all sort of problem with tiling painting etc. They were so dangerous and irresponsible. I wrote a review on my builder. The company and my builder came back to me promising me to sort out the problems. They superficially sorted out the downstair flat without coming to my flat promising there would not be any leak. After few weeks leak started again in downstairs I contacted my builder.com to reinstate my review they declined to do that. They told me that when you leave review IT can not be amended. I told him if it can not be amended why did you remove my review they did not have any answer. They are a partner in crime with the traders. They support cowboys. Lots of traders on their website are cowboys. They advertise on my builder as they are not able to get a job through recommendation. Please do not use my builder.com.

What an easy way to find a tradesperson for any domestic need, post your job, give a description of what you need, sit back and wait for tradespeople to contact you. Simple.

Mybuilder do not check if you are a qualified tradesperson, and also do not tell the client that the tradespeople are charged for every shortlisting, even if they do not win the job.

ECO2 Windows and Doors are useless.

Will not return telephone calls or answer questions left on their website.

Perhaps they have gone out of business!

Using MyBuilder can put you in contact with some bas traders.

I DO NOT recommend the use of Neil Mclaren of MPH Plumbing & Heating based in Bury St Edmunds to carry out work.
Now called www.allheating.uk
Previously also BoilerTech Services.

Search https://www.trustonline.org.uk to see the multiple small claim judgements.

No one wants to have to deal with this situation of small claim court and loss of their money.

Neil Mclaren refused to finish the work having installed some first fix pipework, of which does not comply to building regulations as it is not insulated.
Neil damaged new electrical wiring installation and told my electrician not to inform me about it, which is very dishonest.

Neil Mclaren failed to provide the materials I had paid him for; my boiler, radiators, thermostats, pumps, all high value items.

Neil never responded to letters to resolve the situation and now has a CCJ for the money owed.
Neil owes me substantial money in a CCJ issued by court judgement which I cannot see being returned without a long drawn out process

Barry from Sparkx electric westbury ask me if he could come out on SUNDAY morning to do a quote at 9.00 oclock He did not turn up. ( not thinking of me)
Barry from sparks electrical told me that he could do it on sunday morning but it would have to be at 9, oclock & then barry from sparks electrical westbury did not turn up.( still not thinking about me) so i waited & waited finally at around 10.00 oclock i made contact with him In the following emails that followed i was told that i was rude & strange & after all it was sunday ( still not thinking about me)HEY BARRY You made the appointment on your terms Barry you did not turn up I found That barry from sparks electrical in his emails to be rude & aggressive & angry in his comment Do not let barry from sparkx electrical from westbury do it to you

My home buying experience with Meritage Homes has been an unpleasant one to say the least. I recently closed on my home in Parkview East in Lilburn, Ga. One day after move-in, 2 of my toilets overflowed as the shower was being used. The overflow caused major water damage on the 1st floor of the house. Hallway Plumbing, admittedly forgot to remove the ball float instrument used to measure the water system. Since there was so much water damage, a water restoration rep had to rip up the carpet, base boards, and hardwood floors. They also placed dehumidifier fans for 3 days to dry the water, but the fans pushed a significant amount of dusk particles from the slab on our brand new furniture. Once the rep basically ripped out the entire first floor, Meritage Homes, Hallway Plumbing, and the Water Restoration were not aligned on setting up a date for re-installation.

My family that includes 2 young children have not been able to use the first floor during this process. My overall experience with Meriatge Homes has been a poor one. I normally never write reviews, but this poor quality of service constituted one. We were excited to close on our home, but this issue has been a huge inconvenience and huge damper to our experience. This inconvenience totally ruined the experience and memories for myself and my family.

Meritage Homes has agreed to fix these issues, but when and how fast is the question! At this point, they have offered no compensation for this inconvenience, but the lack of sense of urgency is what's most disappointing.

I HAVE BEEN WITH MY BUILDER SEVERAL YEARS, THEY HAVE MADE ALOT OF MONEY FROM ME. HOWEVER I PAID FOR A LEAD AS WE TRADESMEN HAVE TO. I MADE CONTACT WITHIN 3 MINUTES, ONLY TO BE TOLDTHE JOB HAD ALREADY BEEN DONE, [SO ZERO CHANCE OF EVEN QUOTING] I TRIED TO CONTACT MY BUILDER HOWEVER THEY REFUSE TO ANSWER, I DESPERATION I EMAILED THE CEO RYAN NOTZ HE POINT BLANKS REFUSES TO MAKE CONTACT, MY BUILDER HAVE NO CONTACT TELEPHONE NUMBER, DO NOT REPLY TO EMAILS AND A CEO WHOM DOESNT GIVE A HOOT ABOUT THE TRADESMEN WHO PAY HIS WAGES, COME ON MR NOTZ MAKE CONTACT, SO ALL IN ALL BEWARE.,

AS A TRADESMEN I HAVE USED THIS SITE, HOWEVER I HAVE COME TO REALISE THIS IS A CON COMPANY, IT IS WELL KNOWN IN THE INDUSTRY THAT THEY POST FAKE LEADS, SHORTLIST TRADESMEN AND CHARGE THEM FOR NON-EXISTANT JOBS. THEY ALSO RECOMMEND THE JOB POSTER SHORTLISTS 4 TO 5 TRADEMEN, MEANING THAT THEY GET PAID 5 TIMES. A COMPLETE CON. WHY SHOULD THE TRADESMEN PAY WHEN THEY CANNOT REACH THE JOB POSTER, MY BUILDER SHOULD TAKE THE HIT, NOT THE PEOPLE WHO PAY THE WAGES. AS A TRADESMAN STAY CLEAR.

I need to speak to someone as regards the invoice sent to me " overdue invoice". I have sent messages regarding the said invoice and I'm disputing the fee, I also read on your platform where you mentioned instances when one can dispute such, Two of the payment falls in that category as the customer was not available(reachable), I have made effort to reach you on phone and I will further escalate it, I expect a reasonable response to the messages explaining the situation but most of my messages where treated with levity. A simple call would suffice as I get voicemail saying one should leave an email. My builder practically chase me up to complete my profile knowing fully well they are the beneficiary in this marriage cause you shortlist multiple people for a job knowing fully well just one person will get the job and expect all the shortlisted tradesmen to pay up. I have deactivated my account but I'm willing to pay for the shortlist; one which I spoke to the client and didn't agree on price( slavery) but not shortlist that I couldn't reach the client as their numbers aren't reachable, who says you can't send bogus numbers as it is not beneath logical reasoning considering your approach of making profit; Radical.

I used the service as a tradesman for many years, 2009-2014, and MyBuilder's customer service is terrible. They really are money grabbing.
