I've had a fantastic experience with MyCleanPC! Their tech support is truly exceptional. Whenever I've encountered an issue, their team has been incredibly responsive and knowledgeable, guiding me through the troubleshooting process with ease.
I have repeatedly (3 times over 2 years) called and asked for the service to be discontinued as I no longer own the laptop that was running slow. Today, I received another email saying they are going to charge me a $250 renewal. I do not own the computer, but am told that until I remove some software then they CANNOT cancel my subscription. This is criminal. Avoid this company at all cost!

Tip for consumers:
It is a scam that you can never unsubscribe. The only thing I could do was to cancel the credit card.

Be aware they are going to sneak a monthly $19.95 charge on that is in the small print... Not worth the money. They would not refund the monthly fee when requested with a few days of the fee showing up on my credit card.

I purchased an annual subscription to MyCleanPC. Subsequently, I have been billed a follow-up $19.95 monthly "service" charge that I have not authorized. This is highly unethical, in my opinion. Make sure you read all the fine print before giving this company your credit card information, and monitor your statement for unauthorized charges.
Tip for consumers:
Exercise extreme caution before using this company. Remember that the price you pay for the software is just the tip of the iceberg when they follow up with the monthly "service" charge.
I think this company has taken into consideration all of the disgruntled concerns from earlier on. I tried them, with the gut instinct that my laptop's issues were revolving around one download error (done by a nanny while I was at work, but nonetheless just one error) and Kelly, my agent who helped me confirmed that it was only one issue. The software for $19.99 removed the problem, and the next scan showed no issues at all after I used the software to remove the program that was infecting my device. She did her job pitching the online technician, and I had to decline but the purpose for which I needed the program was indeed served. I am one of those people who will wait until a brand new product is market tested, tried and refined before I'll touch it with my money though.
Be very careful when you sign up for a My Clean PC software only account for $19.99 a year. Even if you do not desire the service, their website purposely steers customers into a tech support program that has a monthly charge. Thereafter, they will refuse to refund any of these fees unless they occurred in less than thirty days, so watch your bills closely.
Even if you finally straighten it out that you only want the yearly software, each renewal the company intentionally places you right back in the same tech program with a monthly charge that you specifically opted out of before because you did not want it.
Then once again, if you don't catch unexpected charges on your credit card bill, you are stuck paying for services you never used or wanted because of their company-friendly less than 30 days refund limitation. It's quite a racket, so don't get caught up in their deceptive contrivances.
This is only one of many problems. Be aware!
Downloaded paid. Banner pops up call one 800 get activated. Called all I got was lipservice and tried to sell me more products. Software scrubs all passwords every time it runs have to reset all to party if indications. Tried to turn off not user-friendly. And do not ever trust a company that has tech-support with the first name Prince!

Working on thanksgiving videos I had audio but no video. After several hours and getting no where I called and your man fixed the problem quickly. Excellent service. Thank you so much. God Bless. Ron McTaggart.
My computer was running very slow. Went to website for advertised "Free Diagnosis". So I followed directions for "free download". Instructions of software to run a scan for errors showed something like 800 errors. So I'm directed to activate the software which costs me $ 54.67 in order to correct errors then I was connected with a tech which kept telling me how bad my errors were and he didn't know if they could fix them or not but he would put me on hold and talk to another tech. Of course he came back to advise me they could fix it but the price would be 299.99. I became very suspicious by now and declined. So now after taking over my computer for 15 minutes or so I don't know all they did to it but I'm going to have to take it to a real tech & get it fixed. I'm also going to dispute the $54.67 with my credit card company. My recommendation is to stay from this site!
Wouldn't have minded so much if I had paid only the advertised cost. However, I called in like the screen said when installing. The representative took control of my screen and tried to sell many many upgrades. I told him no to all of them. However today I was billed an additional 21.35 for a service I did not order. I contacted support for a refund and she said she could not since the system already charged me.
Thanks to everyone for helping me avoid this website. I think the best solution is to find a reputable computer tech where you live and then have him or her service your PC when it has a problem. This has been my solution and Wayne (my tech guy) who has a small store always comes through when I need him. Price: about $100, but I know where he is and he stands behind his work.
I wish there was a negative star button for this sham company. Thank goodness all they got from me was $19.99. When I refused the upgrade for 99 bucks along with the 19.99 monthly charge, I never received the email with the link to activate any software! They stated that they had just updated their programming and were having difficulty with it... funny, eh? They want to "fix" other's computers and can't get their own system to work. I asked for a refund and got "disconnected". I never got the email and never received my refund. DEFINITE RIP-OFF!
Not sure how sites like this stay in business so long without being prosecuted by state attorney generals. Obviously, sites like this and many similar ones perpetuate fraud on a massive scale to steal money from people who don't know any bettter.
This web site is truly a scam, you pay for the clean up; however, after yo pay you get a message to call a phone number to activate at that time you get a person that takes control of your computer, who knows less about cleaning a computer than I do and I know very little, after thirty minutes or so they tell you that your computer has more problems than they can fix; therefore, you will need a level three tech, and a level three tech will cost $599.00 after i explained that I certainly would not pay that kind of money to clean a six year old computer that cost $500.00 then. She finally found a clean up for only $399.00 then one for $299.00 after I refused all of the above she said that there was not anything that she could do. I recommend that everyone stay clear of this web site. Dale Brown
The software is worse than nothing since it even causes problems for your computer. Then they begin extracting money from your credit card and make it difficult or impossible to stop them. Apparently the only defense is to direct your credit card company to stop accepting charges from them. You may even need to change your credit card number.
Tip for consumers:
I should have read the reviews stating that this product is largely a scam and it is difficult to get them to stop billing you.

Bought this software and it did a marginal job at best. Of course they then tried to upsell me. Well, my PC is old, so I opted to buy a new PC. I called them back and told them I wanted to cancel. It took a little while but when I finally got hold of a rep, she said I could not cancel, that was their policy and promptly hung up on me. Their webpage states that you can cancel anytime. So I took a screen shot and ended up calling my credit card company to reject any further charges.

Waste of money. For $40 their software does nothing. In order to activate the software you have to call them and they offer to send you to a "technician" for $199 additional and $14.95 a month for continued service. I ran the scan, paid the $40, refused the technician. Then clicked on fix problems when the software was activated. Took about 50 minutes to do what ever it did. As a test I let it restart the computer, I didn't start any other programs. Let it finish what ever it was doing. Then I said, well if it cleaned my PC I should run the scan again and get 0 errors. Ran the scan and in 2 seconds it found 222 problems. Shut off the program. Obviously it doesn't "clean my pc" it just installs some useless software so they can get you to call them so they can try to sell you a $200 technician. Sorry, there are free programs that scan your computer and even some free ones that will remove spyware etc. This is a scam.
I purchased the service for $518 - the sales person and the website states there is a 30 refund guarantee - I did not use the service and tried to cancel after 7 days and they refused to refund me the full amount - also they were rude!

I was just about to sign up for MyCleanPC, but decided to read the reviews first. Boy, am I glad I did! I m sorry to hear about all the terrible experiences people had, but I am thankful to those who expressed their disappointment. Going public is the best way to fight against companies that don't deliver. MyClean PC needs to learn a lesson!. With lousy product, bad customer service and dishonest marketing -- this company's days are numbered! I will do my best to share all your experiences with friends.
I paid for a yearly subscription, received fake calls immediately after. The program was subsequently self deleted from my computer. I called support, they used remote access to "fix" it (I watched them, all they did was lower my firewall.) I paid $20 extra for identity protection software. (they didn't install anything extra.) The program self deletes again a month later, I call software with all my correct info including my order number, and they said that they don't have that order number. They said I never paid for anything. SCAM.
Scam, scam, scam. This is the third time I've seen this web site advertised only under a different name. Goto their web sit and get your computer scanned. They will find hundred of problems. Funny, I ran this on my system with a totally fresh Operating System install. On top of that, their "notification" will get in your face untill you clean up the mess they have created.
I downloaded it last night, ran the scan (scam), and paid the money. After a couple of hours of dubious "results", and supposed things happening, I had to reboot the computer, which also took a long time. My computer doesn't run one bit faster today than it did yesterday. I would not recommend it, nor will I renew it. RHH
I checked out the free scan for a friend with a slow computer.
On all subsequent boot ups - I get the ad.
Worse... I fly MS Flight Simulator-X.
This thing just pops up in the middle of a flight... and bye-bye flight.
Worse even more... try to uninstall.
Box pops up saying it's running... do you want to stop it to de-install?
Yes.
Nothing.
Found out the computer goes in to a loop.
50% CPU to a task called KILL. Somrthing.
Right click on that on Task Manager and End Process...
Finally,... GONE!
I purchased it for $19.99 and I have to admit it made my computer faster. The downsides are you must call them to download the program and they give a REALLY hard upsell to which I had to say "no" several times. They finally downloaded the program and it took well over an hour to fix my errors during which time I could not use my computer.
Had a virus that I couldn't seem to shake, but the techs pulled it out and fixed me up. I DO wonder why the Early Detection Center virus scan wasn't able to get rid of it, and why there seem to be many others along the way that it doesn't seem to be very hot on knocking out viruses... I think from time to time of just going with another antivirus, as this one is never rated (that I see), never mind in the top tier...
This is nothing more thatn any other software can provide.
Go to the pro's. Stick with the ones you trust. Buy a subscription to AVG, <-- The best or McAfee and many others. Of course you will also need the complete protection. Look at Spyware Doctor, Registry Mechanic and many others that will help and keep you running the way your computer should. Or. Buy a Mac:(
But what I am saying is NOTHING IS FREE.
A good start is AVG and PCTOOLS.com.
