It's not just useless, it's dangerous - I've deleted my account but I'm still nervous that my personal details could be exposed on a database somewhere, people capable of producing something so bad are unlikely to have good security in place.
I have been using this site for 3 months after injuring myself at work. Every fortnight when I try to lodge my form, the system is down. I can barely walk yet I then have to call a taxi (for $35) and then make my way down to the Centrelink office. I feel for the elderly who have to put up with this. What a horrible service.

After they made stupid system, they naver take my call… system just repeat contact to medicare, and than medicare naver take my call.
So they do not have to work, It is super easy for them.
Mygov site is so frustrating I feel like screaming & crying! I have in inbox a message to action, update tax agents address, I've entered the address 20 times & it won't accept it! I gave copy of Group very to my tax agents but site is showing option link to "lodge"? Is it something I click or is it something that will disappear when my tax agent does my tax. I have no effen clue & it offers no info! I hate this f#%kn $#*! with a passion!
Crappiest site ever, this site is going to send me into therapy, and not even a good kind of therapy with scented candles and warm towels. I mean therapy where they will zap my brain with electricity and pull my toenails out with pliers. Send help now
MyGov is an absolute pain in the ****
It is impossible to log into, never works, always have to ring the helpdesk every single time we have to use it.
This is the only way to access government information and services, and they have designed it to be frustrating and inaccessible, basically to turn people away from interacting with government services and resources.
There is only limited help available on Saturdays, and none on Sundays. So you have to spend HOURS on the phone during work hours.
Tip for consumers:
Avoid at all costs, but of course it's impossible because this is the only way to access essential Commonwealth government services and resources
Dont even bother to try and use this website
It has to be the worst site along with the ATO websites
Absolute disgrace that a government cannot develop a website that you can access simply without stress.

I have called myGov today and told him my account been blocked permanent, and I already made a new account. He said I can't make one until he sort it out his end for me. Anyway prior to this. I got myGovID made from my old email. And it's asking me to go back on my old myGov login to edit. So I made a new myGovID and now won't verify my ID so I can't finished my account.
I can't login from overseas as I don't have access to my second factor (mobile). OK, so followed the instructions and have asked for my email to be removed from the account so that I can recreate it. Which in itself is ridiculous but whatever. CALLED TWICE to do this and it still has not been removed, and can't recreate my account.
Meanwhile the ATO are wondering why I'm not receiving or replying to their correspondence and are escalating things, and I have no idea what is happening because they can't send me emails directly it has to be through MyGov.
Absolute piece of $#*! solution design. Whoever designed their auth systems needs to go back to whatever $#*! government org they came from.
No like what the hell, like how is mygov this bad. The $2 dollar store has better customer support than this god awful garbage. Utter garbage. Can't log in. Can't get a code. Have to create a new account every single time. Goodluck then actually linking any services to that new account. Oh and of course YOU get into trouble when you don't do your tax or centrelink info etc. Utter bull$#*! $#*! you MYGOV
I have used the mygov website and managed ok.
Tried a couple of times to use it today and have found it to be the most awkward site I have ever used.
If you want to look up more than one thing, too bad you can't go back or home.
Opening on my mobile phone was a chore and a half - couldn't do it at the Dr today but managed after several attempts after I got home.
I can't even workout why when i go to open the ap I get a code to copy, then how to get to the page to put the code in when there's no sign in page tab...
Get your act together my gov, I certainly hope you didn't waste taxpayers money on this crap

I have been trying for 2 days, without success.

I have used this site twice, please I am no genius, but it is rediculous.
How can our pensioners try to negotiate this absolute unusable site.
I hope who ever put this site together is ashamed of what it puts people through.
It's that time again, when I have to interact with MyGov, and again, I'm locked out of the site, because it tells me that I'm not linked, or some such other horse$#*!. I dread having to use this pile of crap; it represents hours of lost time during my day, as well as frustration and stress at trying to complete a simple, single task. The Government should hang their heads in shame, except that they probably couldn't care less, because they're 'Public Service'.
I have been attempting to re-install MyGovID on my Galaxy S8 since 20th January 2020 when I mislaid my password. Unlike virtually every other login in the world, MyGovID does not have a password reset procedure. You have to uninstall and re-install the whole app, but the identification documents you used in the original installation wont be recognized second time around.
I phoned the help line at least 20 times and had conversations that have lasted up to an hour or more. I have installed an uninstalled at least 40 times. Still no success with getting the app operational again.
I can only conclude that the app has been developed by absolute morons. I have tried many many times to without success obtain the name of the person in charge of this disastrous app development. His/name needs to be published in banner headlines and the person hailed as Australia's most ineffective bureaucrat before being fired.

Nothing registers or links. It wouldnt link my bank details or my payment summary from the previous year to link my tax so how can i get my payment summary for the most recent year?! Horrible system that needs to be scrapped.
First signed up for MyGov in 2016 and have not successfully linked 1 service to date. Get on the phone to update details with 1 service to try and link on my account, but because details dont match what they have on their system they tell me I need to call the MyGov help desk. Call the MyGov help desk and they say I need to update details with the service I am trying to link! Ended up hanging up the phone and deleting the MyGov account all together.
You can't upload documents to prove your identity, you can't go back to the screen where you view documents to upload, it automatically logs you out after trying to verify documents. A complete waste of time and an embarrassment to the country.
I needed to obtain a notice of assessment and some super details from the ato website. I logged onto the ato website which informed me It needed to be linked to the mygov site before I could view the information... To do this I needed to provide information from the notice of assessment and some superannuation details... I'm glad I left Australia years ago, dumbest ***t I have ever encountered.
This site as mentioned by so many others, has way too many issues, one thing I dislike, is once you're logged in, if you want to go into Centrelink, that's fine, but if you then want to go into another linked service, you CANT! There is NO back button, you basically have to close it, and sign in AGAIN! What a pain in the a##e!

How dumb is this? To link a Medicare service you have to access the My Health Record service to get the exact cost and date of your last doctors appointment (Because I am bulked billed so I don't get this info from the clinic). But to get access to the My Health Record you have to prove that it's you by answering these 2 stupid questions. 1) Exact cost and 2) last appointment date, which you can't get because you need to somehow already know this before you can log into the My Health Record (which is where you get this info from). Someone needs their $#*! kicked for creating really stupid questions. Where do the ATO get these genius's from?..
Absolutely disgusting. The app doesn't work and more organisations are relying on this app for identification therefore more people will be stuck like me.
I've tried reinstall the app, then tried on android as iPhone wasn't working but actually its the app that just doesn't work.

Find an alternate method. For example name change guys will tell you it will take months if you fill up paper forms. Better do it in months than not doing it at all
It is literally easier to commit tax evaision at this point than it is to make a MyGOV account and get my tax file number. Where is the 0 star rating? Giving even half a star to MyGOV is being too generous
A terribly designed system that sends you in loops when trying to link services. There are far better online government systems to use as examples the world over but once again Australia feels the need to reinvent the wheel and chooses to turn it into a square. UTTERLY USELESS.
Checking in with my QR code I received a message which implied I should connect with my MygovID - which I did not have. I downloaded the app to my iPhone. To set up an account I needed passport, driver's license and so forth - just to set up a link to my Covid certificate? I had already connected my Medicare app to the Covid certificate: why did I need something from the Tax Office? Then it took me round in circles, from one website and one app to another. This is something which I don't want, don't need and now don't have because I deleted the app. If I come across a roadblock in life which demands that use it I'll look again. Another bloody government app that doesn't work! Who is designing this garbage?
PS after 30 years in the IT business I really think that design standards are going backwards!
