While the information is not always accurate, this site is critical for those of you who are on dating sites. You can corroborate much information to determine their truthfulness. You can get their most recent address in 95 percent of the cases and other cities and states in which they have lived. You can, more importantly, find out if they have any criminal offenses. I was about to meet a guy who had several... one for theft over $1000. Needless to say, I stopped communicating with him. I also found MYSELF... and the bankruptcy I filed decades ago. That didn't please me but it is what it is. The guy I'm dating now has NO criminal records, NO liens, No nothing. I feel safe. This site to me was worth the money I paid for 6 months.

Tip for consumers:
fraud website meaning they participated in the collection of the information that was stolen from my cell phones SIM card. Folks don't pay these thrives anything nor let them close to your credit / debit card.

My personal information shortly after my Sims card was hijacked was it that my personal information and lies about me such as my job title and my salary was exaggerated on mylife.com instantly posted on this site. Information that included my street address was avenue instead of street and well I know for fact that either the people within the site Either stole my identity or bought my stolen identity from the dark web. I reported my identity stolen to the police. I bet now that i posted this review the scammers will try their hardest to attempt to find me out.
I signed up and gave them a CC # which they said was declined by the bank. I called the bank and they denied ever having been billed or having denied any such thing. So I closed my CC and requested a new #. Since then i have received emails and phone calls from the vendors who had bill renewals charged on my CC account asking for an updated new CC #. My account with MyLife was phished and my information stolen by or sold to scammers. Don't sign up for this, you will be sorry.

I cancelled my CC with my bank, and MyLife Account with MyLife and just went through the on line process of removing all of my personal info that MyLife has on line. I also requested that my perssonal information not be sold to anyone.
This site looks like it's targeting people to scam them for money to get public records accessible for free. They also have some sort of reputation score which sounds like the Chinese Communist party's fascist social 'credit' scoring BS. Reject any organization with this kind of un-American behavior.
Products used:
None. Sat through a very phony data collection screen which should take no more than a couple seconds to load that runs forever. I would not purchase their service because the records are available generally for free and easily accessible. The reputation score is very creepy and another turn off to the service.
Never, ever fall for this.
MyLife dumps all sorts of interesting spam on you. I went for the $1 3 day trial.
Anything they may have promised will cost more and more and more.
Worse- the information about you and others is most probably wrong.
I was surprised to discover that I owned a grocery store three counties away from my address of forty years.
If you go for the trial be sure to record your member number, so you can use it to cancel. They play dumb when you opt out and pretend to have problems unless you do.
Any promises this site makes will be behind more pay walls.
Don't fall for it. Their information is probably wrong.
Tip for consumers:
Go elsewhere
I signed up for the $1 trial. It took an inordinate amount of time to access the data. Then when checking the supplied results -- it was all outdated.
I called to cancel and found out that the customer service (2 calls same person responded) is located in the Philippines'. When I tried to cancel there were many questions regarding my personal information. They have my name and email along with the credit card that was charged, No need for further information to be given. No satisfaction!
I then contacted my credit card account and found that I had been charged for 2 accounts and billed for $1 on each ( I only signed up for 1).
Then I noticed 2 charges pending in the amounts of $44.85 for Privacy Pro and $50.85 for something called PPL Search.
My next call was to the credit card's customer service, they contacted MyLife and resulted in my money being refunded and the account at MyLife CANCELLED.
Be aware of this and avoid them, as it appears they are a dishonest and evasive con site.

Signed up for the full year for 3 checks each month…. For a year. They used my info for the purchase and gave me mine. Did not ask for it but moved on for the one I was after. Had 2 left! Looked up that person and was chard a one time look up fee for that. Checked my card to see if I was charged and yes…. Plus's a third charge. Hurried to turn off my card so no more charges could occur and stated the calling process. Let's just say not a fun first call and they were not willing to refund my money for the trash services and the theft they were doing. After a long 2 calls the out come is I was charged a total of 267. On my card and they have refunded 59.85…. To my card another 119.55 is promised but has not shown up yet. Leaving me with having paid 89.80 for a thirty day service that I can't use anymore with out begging charged extra because I've use it already for myself. Lol this site will rob you blind. TRASH!
Tip for consumers:
Do not purchase the sevice

I went to the site, set up an account. It allowed me to lock & "edit" my info on the site for free, so I thought, "Okay, must be legit." I did all the above and it gave me a higher score.
Today, I decided to try to edit some more info. They do not recognize my account and all the changes have been reversed. I was going to pay the 7 day trial, but decided to check for scams and came here to see all the really bad reviews. Thank you to all of you for telling your story!
I searched my name and it came back that I have a criminal record, I got one traffic ticket over 8 tears ago( infraction). This affects my business because people look you up and will not pay to get full report, they just assume the information is correct.
Interestingly enough, Mylife.com report my employment in Public Safety, but their sights says there's an arrest record... hum. They want me to pay to fix this mess.
Needless to say, I have filed a complaint with the Federal Trade Commission.
If ones ex spouse is ducking the law, bill collectors and/or creditors, then there's Nothing better than "Mylife" to send the hunters off into the wrong direction! I'm divorced from my ex wife for years. We've been apart legally since 1999 and I'm re-married and I don't believe she is even though she uses the 3 aliases of her past including my last name. We never had children yet "Mylife" lists her offspring as though they were mine Under "relatives"! Not only is my present wife perturbed that Bill collectors, creditors and Anonymous callers ask if she is the name of my ex wife but when she says NO they think she's conning them. I receive the same kind of calls asking for my ex wife by name even though we live hundreds of miles away. Mylife had better get on the ball and start doing its homework because this sort of sloppy work driven by the information highway can get people set back socially, jammed up in the courts and/or physically hurt!
Tip for consumers:
Stay away from this site it posts outdated, inaccurate and socially harmful information
I can not tell why this company still exists. It listed under age minor info which is dangerous. 80% of the info I searched end up inaccurate, outdated, or falsify. No point about reputation score if info is false, no matter how good its secrecy algorithm - probably also a scam by itself.
The information is inaccurate and misleading. Says you have criminal when you do not.
When I asked them to remove my info they said no it is public info (wrong info). But if I paid them then they could help. Don't give them any money.
"With your MyLife.com Premium Membership you can request removal of your information from over 35 websites that publish and sell personal information."
"The information on each profile page is gathered from public sources, which can be easily found online using a simple Google search. This information will not be removed as these types of information are considered "public records" under the law, which means that anyone has the right to access them"
MyLife pretends to have legitimate information about an individual. Once you sign up (which requires automatic monthly renewals of $10.95), you will see your own information, but you cannot correct any negative and erroneous items they have supposedly picked up somewhere. It's a total scam to get you to spend $ and receive nothing in return. Their assigned "reputation score" went from 4.3 to 1.4 in just one month! That's how they get you interested in finding out what they're about. They also try to hook you in by telling you how many people have been looking at your information, although you will never find out specifically who they are - even with the "subscription." Please don't fall for this!

I wish I'd done my homework before opting for a subscription trial on this site because there's a current class action lawsuit and for good reason. My "free" trial cost me $55 and that's just the first charge. I've now read countless reviews of MyLife.com charging more than what their customers signed up for in addition to several people saying their information on the site is inaccurate, including false criminal charges. Those responsible for this site are the ones who should be charge with a crime.
I'll post this anywhere I can to help people avoid being victims.
On 22 December 2022 I searched MyLife website for free information and was inadvertently charged an annual subscription to this service. The email identifying your charges automatically goes into your spam folder so you have to search for it. If you don't have charge alerts on your account, it can easily take your money for an extremely overpriced service. Who in their right mind would pay $12.95 a month for this "People Search and Background Check Report" membership? There are many other online services that provide a more reasonable service for the precise data you are searching for. When you attempt to contact this company, it identifies that this "so called" premium service can be cancelled at any time by calling a phone number, which directs you to send an email to *******@mylife.com. This is definitely a company that is receiving recurring complaints about unauthorized charges. Do not attempt to access or create an account with this company.
Tip for consumers:
MyLife.com website will extract your saved account data and inadvertently charge you for an expensive annual membership.

"Mireille I.", I have the same problem, this is outrageous.
They should be named defamation.com

Where we can complaint about it? A class action lawsuit maybe?
When they don't have enough info on the person mylife spices up the report with warnings of criminal activities. I am shocked to discover that on screen 1, I "possibly" have a criminal history when I never even stole a parking spot from anyone. I guess I would have to pay to find out what the heck I never did in the first place. This site is outrageous. My integrity is essential to my business and yet under the cover of free enterprise any lowlife scum can tarnish it for profit. What an unethical organization. I don't know how their employees can look at their moms, spouses or kids in the eyes. If I could rate it -10 I would but no such option. They sure don't deserve a 1
Called MyLife's customer support number *******133 to verify i could easily cancel their $1.00 trial offer. I waited for 31 minutes with my number blocked as I didn't want nuisance call backs. As soon as I became 1st in their queue and whoever answered immediately hung up without even saying hello.
While waiting I noticed their monthly charge would be $19.95 however if you continue after the $1.00 trial offer the charge would be $24.95/month. You can read this yourself in their disclaimer below their subscription choices and credit card info entry.
After reading the other reviews and not being able to get a hold of a representative I HIGHLY recommend you stay away from MyLife if you want a life of your own.
While the information is not always accurate, (for ex: on there, I am married. In real life, I've been divorced 18 years) you can get some good information. MyLife saved me from going out with a man who had an extensive criminal background. Now, before I go out with a guy, I always consult MyLife. Also, I've had to call MyLife a couple of times for questions and the representatives were always professional, pleasant and helpful. Wait time was always very short, happily!
I do not have liens, criminal records, bankruptcies. My income is wrong. My religion is wrong. How dare you? I wonder if the Pennsylvania Attorney General's office has received other complaints and it there is an active investigation. Gee, is myLife contributing to information for identity theft?
Once signed on, they send you frequent email updates about "new" information on people you are searching for. Then when you go onto the site, there is nothing really of interest. They seem to point you to info on other sites such as Ancestry.com. Well, frankly, i can go to Ancestry.com myself, without paying a subscription to Mylife to get me there. Feel it is not worth it at all...
The only reason I give 2 stars (as opposed to 1 star) is that it was relatively easy to turn off automatic renewal-- but I had to call. I was not put on hold and was able to do it easily. The website is somewhat misleading in telling you what you'll get. For $18.95 I thought I would be able to do unlimited background checks for a month-- but no, only one or two, and trying more I was taken to a screen asking me to subscribe to a premium membership. What you get for that $18.95 (after that initial background check or two) is simply people's home addresses and e-mail addresses. Furthermore, the site is full of inaccurate info. You may or may not get a current address, and the "Bio" of the person can at times be ridiculously off. You are better off just doing a simple Google search and not paying for any site that purports to have information, just viewing what is shown for free.
I have been charged $170 for NEVER using their services! I keep getting emails from them telling me there is one man and two women doing background checks on me. To be very honest, I have no reason to worry about my background check because I haven't done anything I wouldn't want others finding out about. I need my money back, please - I'm currently unemployed due to an illness - have mercy on me - I'm already hand to mouth, I cannot afford to be scammed off $170!
How do you take family members that not mine off my name on mylfe. I do not know the people like Germani R Hill, Wanda Lopez Washington?
