While the information is not always accurate, this site is critical for those of you who are on dating sites. You can corroborate much information to determine their truthfulness. You can get their most recent address in 95 percent of the cases and other cities and states in which they have lived. You can, more importantly, find out if they have any criminal offenses. I was about to meet a guy who had several... one for theft over $1000. Needless to say, I stopped communicating with him. I also found MYSELF... and the bankruptcy I filed decades ago. That didn't please me but it is what it is. The guy I'm dating now has NO criminal records, NO liens, No nothing. I feel safe. This site to me was worth the money I paid for 6 months.
Several people who have had their SIM card hacked within their phone and smart tv's has seen their stolen personal information on this.site.and then see their income tweeted job titles exaggerated truth mixes with lies on this site. Its no wonder why peoples credit card number gets stolen and little to no information found for the person that their seeking info on. Dnt pay these people anything and bc they are trying to make money off of their scamming stalking people and hoping that the victims will pay them to take the fake/ mixed with wee bit truth. I have nothing to gain reporting they s nor to loose. Keep yr money and beware that all these crooks need from you is attention to their site. Sure looks legit sure sure it does. That's part of their charm. Ava n don't be fooled and bc even my information after my SIM card was hijacked ended up on this sit.
I have asked this so called company a few years ago to permanently remove my information their site. They did, however, within a few months it was back. I emailed them, they said in the email it would be taken down within 48 hours (ish). It was, but within a week it was back again.
I called them, again just today. The person that I spoke to was snotty especially when I asked them who the h**l they think they are putting my information out there without my permission. He threatened to hang up on my for my h**l word and I told him hang up on me and you will hear from my lawyer. I asked the person what their last name was and he said we do not give out that information, yet they have NO problem putting out mine!
The information on me, like many people here said, is not accurate, which in a way is a good thing, since it is out there without my permission.
If you look at their site, they will offer to take it down for a fee. Sounds like a scam to me since I never signed up for it, never became a member much less a paying member.
Sites like these who just use your information without your consent, then want to charge you a fee to take it down should be shut down.
If my "page" comes back, they will hear from my lawyer.
This company's entire mission is to scare people into paying for their services. They have nothing of value to offer. Their scare tactics are unwarranted, baseless, and false.
My son is listed at his last two addresses as if he was two different people. His reputations scores in the two cities differed by 2 points. Interesting?
I'VE NEVER HEARD OF THIS COMPANY AND I DON'T KNOW HOW I GOT ON THEIR LIST- THIS TYPE OF SCAM SHOULD BE ILLEGAL! VERY CONFUSED AS TO HOW TO GET OFF THIS DISTRIBUTION- THE PHONE # IS NOT VALID - I'D LIKE TO FILE A COMPLAINT BUT NOTHING SEEMS TO BE VALID
Hmm, they publish information about me that I did not authorize, then want to charge me to remove it. Sounds like blackmail to me - pay up or else we continue to expose you. AVOID MyLife.com!
I discovered I had been charged $95.40 from MyLife today. All I've ever done was look at the site and filled out their required information to do so. So, I called the 888 number and spoke to Sherill. Poor English and probably not here in the U.S. After listening to her for a few minutes and understanding about 1/3 of what she was saying, I stopped her and demanded the charge be reversed. She continued, telling me that I could cancel after the year is over and there would be no further charges. Not acceptable. I finally had to ask her to listen carefully to me for a moment and once again demanded that the charge be reversed. Sherill then said she would place me on hold and asked me to 'hold on.' Only a few moments passed when she came back on, saying that she could modify my charge, stop any further renewal (which I never had before!) and charge for only a month, then reimburse me for $79.45. I asked her why I would want a month of service when I didn't want it at all! Sherill said that was all she could do. So, after NOT authorizing a charge with MyLife, they keep $15.05 for something I don't want. Absurd. DO NOT deal with MyLIfe unless you want them to control your money. I was told an e-mail would be sent to me outlining everything. We'll see.
I needed to research a person and MyLife kept popping up offering a free search service. First of all nothing is free in life, they asked for $1 (I imagine so they can acquire credit card information and set you up for a 5 day trial that automatically sets you up for auto renewal fee of $59.95 every six months I think.
So I signed up and started my search (be aware once you start the process you are committed to at-least 20 minutes waiting on line) I did get a report, didn't seem very complete. So I thought Id check the validity of the website by doing a search on myself.
So I spent the 10 min. To enter the information requested and then hit search. After a few moments of processing my input sent me back to the pick and plan and sign in page. I tried this process several times going back to my start page and "Dashboard" did the process several times each time it sent me back to the same place.
So! I called their help line and I must say they answered reasonably quickly and I was talking to on of their associates on a recorded line. I told her the situation and gave her requested inf. And she put me on hold. After a few minutes the associate returned to the line and first she told me that she would turn off the "Auto Renew Function" linked to my account (that was nice) then she told me there were several accounts being setup in my account and that she would clear that up and send me an email so I could set a proper password. That was 6 hours ago and so far no email that she said "I should have in 8 min. Or less".
Watch out people, do not fall into this trap, do not sign up, do not link your name, do nothing, do not pay the $14.95, it's non refundable period... all they do is spam you with 1,000 of emails without your permission, you request to have the stop and they still send them to you. They give you a review and not even the top star review. They don't know you, why would they review you as a person. Really, there are so many of these scam sites on the internet that preys on us to see if we want to find out what is on the internet about us. It said I was on 50 plus websites and I needed to pay $29.99 a month to get them to work on removing them, I'm not paying for something that can't be reversed, once your on a site, your there. The only way you get off of a website is update whatever that information is and change it to something else and then deactivate it so it can have whatever information you want it to say. So don't be fooled, this is another trick to take your hard earned money. I though let me see my own background check, nope more money... i mean it probably would have racked up about a few hundred dollars and you can pay a service $50 period and have one done if you want to find out everything there is, but they can only find out so much. Most people utilize the internet to find stuff on people. For the most part, they had so many people with my same name added to my information that it was just a bunch of junk...
Tip for consumers:
They do not have 24 hour support. They only have Monday-Friday service 8:30-5pm PST, be aware and warned before you throw your money away...scary...
I am trying to cancel my 2 subscriptions to My Life... and I keep calling... but they put me on hold forever... so I end up hanging up... as no
One should be placed on hold for 15 min or more
I went through trying to backtrack my old address, and looking at my page, it listed the birthday and age. HOWEVER it listed MANY MANY items that are not even related to me and false (i'm not married but it says i'm married and related to 5 other random people that aren't even remotely close to me) and also it states my religion incorrectly too, have criminal records, among many other items.
When trying to reach out to correct this, they want me to pay them to have it corrected.
Basically they want me to pay them to NOT LIE about my own information and continue to have up on the website false info. How has this site not become a target of legal action?
I don't know how they got a bunch of my personal info. I certainly didn't type it in. Phone, address and family names. Not cool, not sure how I can get it removed either.
The people information is inaccurate and incomplete. The sales pitch is even more inaccurate and you will be billed for more than you signed up for! DO NOT GIVE THIS COMPANY YOUR CREDIT CARD INFORMATION! They will bill you immediately for a full year. And will only refund a part of the service. Strangely, the customer service rep with whom I spoke was very good and very apologetic. I would hate to have her job!
The dude that operates this site is a total scam artist. Him and his scammers should be removed from the net. He posts things on the net about you so you pay him to remove the crap he posted about you. I tried his service, but with no results. They told me everything would be removed from the net in 4 weeks, and was not. I called them and they told me it actually takes 6 weeks. I waited the other two weeks to give them the benefit of doubt. It still wasn't removed from the web. I called them back and she told me to give them another six weeks. I got sick and tired of being lied to, and insisted on a refund. Actually, I received my refund with no arguments.
This guy rates you a 7.5 when he has no idea who you really are. What a jerk! This site favors liars and scam artists! Years ago they would let people write about their lives and others in it. My x did that crap to me, and tried to make her self look good, but in real life she had her children taken from her for neglect! The net is nothing but a joke when the government lets people like this do what they want! There is no more to say about this kind of crap, except it makes me fell sick to my gut what dirt balls can get away with.
This website is a con, because although it allows you to search for people it has people at the beginning of the search from the UK. However, once your "in" the people that come up are all from the US! The UK ones have disappeared!
In the search boxes you are only allowed the first name when you should be allowed a second name to make the search easier, but a message in red says "name is invalid!" Of course its not invalid, its a real name, but the site doesn't allow it so it means you are highly unlikely to find who you really want! This is not right, and they do not allow you to check the person is really on the site until you have coughed up! Am now trying to get a refund from PayPal, hopefully I will get one. Lastly, the payment system is confusing, as there is a big yellow box stating prices in dollars, (so you have to work out the pounds!) then at the bottom there are wildly different prices for same length of time! The pricing system at the bottom is the one they use, not the yellow box! I signed up for a month but they made me pay for twelve months and for a month! DO NOT TOUCH this website!
I joined Mylife to take advantage of said services so unaware of what was about to happen to me I foolishly gave them my debit card number, social security number and personal information. I paid for the websites services and upgraded my account in several different offers of service. The next day I tried but failed to log in I could not access the site or an services that I paid for I could not find any record of my given email address to access my account. I looked up my name on the site and it is listed with my personal information that I gave them during my application to join. I recommend staying clear of this site because as of now they have my debit card information, birth date, social and other information that can give them the tools to make me a victim of identity theft! This website stole from my bank account and is 100% fraudulent and illegal in their business practices. If you would like to know more information on this incident contact me at *******@outlook.com my name is David.
There so bad they are now banned from offering there services in the U. K. Which means every IP gas blocked there site. Pity they can't bloke the emails to.
SIGNED UP FOR THE 7 DAY $1.00 TRIAL. AFTER SEARCHING FOR WHAT I NEEDED I HIT THE UNSUBSCRIBE BUTTON 37 TIMES. WOKE UP AND FOUND THEY CHARGED MY $69.95. CALLED THEIR 888 NUMBER, NOW THEY SAY I NEED TO GIVE THEM MY CREDIT CARD NUMBER. WTF YOU NEED THAT? IT'S ON FILE. IM AN INVESTIGATOR IN TEXAS AND MY JOB IS TO FIND PEOPLE. THIS SITE CAN'T EVEN FIND ME AND HAS SOOOOO MUCH MISLEADING INFORMATION. DO NO WAIST YOUR TIME WITH THIS CRAP SITE.
Aside from it being a scam, anyone can change your info like party affiliation, income, job history, net worth and so on. Anyone. Also, anyone can write reviews about you. I found out about mylife.com because a family member from a side of the family who no longer speaks to me wrote an anonymous "review" about me calling me names and mylife was kind enough to spam email me telling me. Mylife records who searched for you, so I was easily able to deduce the person who wrote all the harassing reviews.
I followed these steps and was able to get my "profile" permantely removed within a couple of minutes.
1. Visit your profile on MyLife.
2. Click on "Yes, this is me!"
3. Continue through the claiming process, removing personal information to the greatest extent possible, and using your disposable email.
4. Call MyLife customer support at *******900 and tell them that you'd like to delete your profile
Again, the fact that anyone can just change all your information about you then leave harrasing reviews should be enough to shut this crap site down. But if you want to delete your profile, follow the steps above. It did work for me.
False and inaccurate information provided, about me and others I know! Said my friend had a criminal record and he's never been in ANY kind of trouble, in his life. It's not a matter of IF this company is sued, for libelous practices, it's most DEFINITELY a matter of WHEN!
I WOULDLN'T USE THIS APP IF YOU GAVE ME A FREE LIFETIME SUBSCRIPTION. YESTERDAY OUT OF THE BLUE I STARTED RECEIVING EMAILS AND THEY HAVEN'T STOPPED. NEARLY 300 SO FAR. I HAVE UNSUBSCRIBED MANY TIMES AND THEY INFORM YOU IT COULD TAKE UP TO 10 DAYS FOR THAT TO TAKE AFFECT. RIDICULOUS...
I AM NOT RELATED TO A SINGLE $#*!ING PERSON YOU LISTED, YOU BRAINLESS $#*!ING MAGGOTS! YOU SHOULD BE BURIED ALIVE! YOU ARE DESTROYING MY REPUTATION WITH THIS COMPLETELY FALSE INFORMATION, AND I SWEAR TO GOD YOU WILL $#*!ING PAY FOR IT!
Since my last review I decided to try and edit as much info on the things they had on me (I.ie. Income, religion, birthdate, political affiliation). I even went in and gave myself 2 excellent reviews (for the purpose of messing with them). I found it funny that once I did this they send me numerous emails stating that people were looking at my information and they now have updates on me concerning possible criminal activities and such! In addition, the very first time I went on this site and saw my profile I noticed they had my face book picture - which they probably obtained prior to me making everything private well over 2years ago. Knowing that I did this, I switched out my picture and replaced it with a picture of nature. I then went on mylife to find out that they wrote a bio on me based on the info I changed AND changed my bio picture to the picture I changed on my FB page. So be aware and let everyone know that if they have a FB page or thinking of getting a FB page to make it all private in all areas as much as possible. Apparently, my life trolls different media sites to get any type of info on you they can get. One other note, not only do they list a few people as being related to me (another lie because I have no clue who they are and know for a fact they are not relatives) they list my son as have a record as well and he is in the military with top clearances! I am so glad that I never gave them any money to see what they supposedly have on me - and neither should anyone else fall for their money making scam.
Please do not waste your time or money with this site. Do not believe the information they say they have because it is not accurate or even true. They have that I have a criminal and arrest record along with lawsuits/Liens/bankruptcies. I have NEVER been charged with a crime, fined or seen the inside of a court room. I have been working full time (along with having a part time job in addition for 3 years) while taking care of my family. This site had charges brought up against them a few years ago - I can not find the outcome. They need to be shut down ASAP.
