“Worthwhile”

Agens S.
11/22/19

While the information is not always accurate, this site is critical for those of you who are on dating sites. You can corroborate much information to determine their truthfulness. You can get their most recent address in 95 percent of the cases and other cities and states in which they have lived. You can, more importantly, find out if they have any criminal offenses. I was about to meet a guy who had several... one for theft over $1000. Needless to say, I stopped communicating with him. I also found MYSELF... and the bankruptcy I filed decades ago. That didn't please me but it is what it is. The guy I'm dating now has NO criminal records, NO liens, No nothing. I feel safe. This site to me was worth the money I paid for 6 months.

Timothy J.

Several people who have had their SIM card hacked within their phone and smart tv's has seen their stolen personal information on this.site.and then see their income tweeted job titles exaggerated truth mixes with lies on this site. Its no wonder why peoples credit card number gets stolen and little to no information found for the person that their seeking info on. Dnt pay these people anything and bc they are trying to make money off of their scamming stalking people and hoping that the victims will pay them to take the fake/ mixed with wee bit truth. I have nothing to gain reporting they s nor to loose. Keep yr money and beware that all these crooks need from you is attention to their site. Sure looks legit sure sure it does. That's part of their charm. Ava n don't be fooled and bc even my information after my SIM card was hijacked ended up on this sit.

I have a relatively bad reputation score but, hey, what do I care? MyLife.com also says that, unfortuantely, I died nineteen years ago. Maybe they think I'm a vampire or a witch. Cool!

This website autopopulates your information that is gathered from other open sites and creates banner such as "Criminal Record" or "Failed Background Check" in order for you to follow the process, even if you are the user and you know the information is false. WORSE website and WORSE scam I have seen.

This site does background checks on people. Marketing itself as the best and most thorough.

Not so much

I joined the site with one of their trial plans, where I paid a nominal fee to have access to their site for a short period of time.

I did a search of myself. What I found was mis-information, and no way to correct it. Much like the credit repositories, they throw out a net and gather all this info on individuals and then it's up to the individual to find it and correct it. But, to correct it, you have to buy a premium membership. So, obviously, accuracy is not that important.

What MyLife does is assign a score to you - the higher the score the better quality person you are? - I guess?!

So, my score was pretty decent, but it was getting knocked down by my "sleezy" associations, I guess. So, I looked at who they were associating me with, and I believe only one was accurate. Almost all were neighbors. Of the neighbors listed, two are dead, and have been dead for a while, one I have never heard of and doesn't live on my street, one I wave to occasionally, and the rest I don't interact with at all. Yet, these folks are being used as associates of mine, and affecting my score'!

Just keep that in mind before you pay for any information.

Don't trust the information on this website. The information isn't accurate. They have me confused with another person with the same name. Incorrect addresses, relatives, phone numbers, etc.

Don't get involved with these people. It's a scam. The free trial is not free! They charge your account after 14 days for your supposed free trial. And then charge and ship every month.

They will RIP you off, make it difficult to take your subscription off and then blame you for it. They miss direct to a page to call them to discontinue the service so they can charge more money.

Not appropriate for them to be able to suggest information in such a slanderous way. I do not have a criminal background and do not appreciate the suggestion. I have never been arrested.

They advertise a cheap background search, then bill you for 59.95... When you try to cancel, they first try to cancel the renewal... not the initial 59.95 charge... This is a real scam.

This its just another one of those scam sites that offer a trial period & then, whether you cancel or not, will automatically sign you up for the most expensive membership at $19.95.
They charged me twice in a month and that's when I figured out that I was auto signed up.
This site is crap & not legit. It just plays on our addiction to being admired on social media. Don't fall for it. I promise it's not worth it. I got duped when i wanted to leave a remark for a rich dbag who stiffed on a tip. My bad. I did the $1 free trial & got screwed. NOT WORTH IT.
When I called to dbl check that I had disabled the membership, of course I was still enrolled. So you MUST call to cancel!
I got 1 month credited to my account & that's it. Also, good luck understanding the customer service rep's accent. I had to have the cancel confirmation # repeated no less than 6 times.
DON'T VISIT THIS SITE, DON'T LOOK OTHER PEOPLE UP ON THIS SITE, STAY AWAY FROM MY LIFE!

Is there a way to start a class action lawsuit to remove false information? This is ridiculous. Repeated requests to remove information using their opt-out doesn't work!

I became aware of my profile on mylife.com, that includes wrong address, wrong relatives (not related to anyone or know the names mentioned), an anonymous review that simply says, "I wouldn't be friends with Elissa Heyman". Is there a way to get this company off the web? Chase bank blocked their ability to charge me, no questions asked when I explained how they trick customers as well as lie about people: to cancel (I was charged $1 to look at my review, then automatic charges), the phone number NEVER leads to someone answering; the stated hold time just goes down and then back up so that I was on the phone for an hour or more. DO NOT GET A TRIAL SUBSCRIPTION, EVEN TO SEE YOUR COMPLETELY MADE UP PROFILE.

Tip for consumers:
THIS COMPANY NEEDS TO BE SUED OUT OF EXISTENCE.

My credit rating & online reviews about perfect. Yet MyLife published false data on the web for me, incorrect birth birth year & making it appear that I was perpetually transient. Then began sending me emails to repair the damage that they caused & was picked up by other venues.

So I paid for a premium subscription & reputation repair subscription. I've sent them documentation (scans of all records, ID's, diplomate statuses & certifications (in psychiatric social work, substance abuse counseling & pastoral counseling. Sent them scans of perfect BBB reports & much more, including all official academic transcripts.

They will not act to change. When one calls, it is not uncommon to have a wait time in excess of 3 hours. When one does get through, agents appear to be outsourced overseas, incapable of or unwilling to listen to your concerns & will disconnect you after a few minutes.

I've sent 22 emails to them, with attachments & a means to easily document my assertions. Further, they refuse to cancel my premium & restoration service.

I've spent more than 400 hours trying to rectify problems they created.

Obviously, this is bizarre & criminal.

Tip for consumers:
Check your MyLife profile (which they create on own & post on the internet). If there is false data & information about you, send all disputes directly to the Better Business Bureau.

Products used:
Premium membership & reputation repair service for issues they created with their false data & then phished me to sign up for these services.

On the net, if you look hard enough, you can find most things. You become more informed and can make better decisions. Along comes sites like MyLife which focus on one thing: your personal business, your privacy. They extol some ramped up benefits by being a member but the downside is they just want your money and YourLife becomes miserable according to the many complaints filed involving billing issues.
They compile information from a variety of public sources courtesy of the FOIA. While they claim there are benefits to their services, they're just purveyors of things often better left untold.
For example, you're a female and had a few nips and tucks and people are taking notice. Age fibbing is part of your DNA if you aspire to be timeless. Or suppose you had a speeding ticket ~ you're red flagged. Quite often the information is either wrong or dated.
The real service they offer is being a pit stop where you can see if anyone has skid marks. If you want to get them off your back, call them (phone number found online) and tell them in stark terms that you want to be off their site permanently. Emphasize that you have a need for privacy perhaps because you have a local business or gossip can hurt your standing in the community. Anything!

Seriously are you guys stupid. This is a site that claims to protect you from having your information spread around the internet - and also barracks you with emails about signing up for social network sites.

Why the flying f*** would you sign up for social network sites if you wanted your footprint removed from the internet.

PMSL laughing at the response to my review from "Brandon" the MYLIFE representative inviting me to get into contact - If I wanted to talk to weasels I would take a trip to my local zoo:-)

Clearly a scam - it appears that I have Margaret from Manchester searching for me:-) I have never been to Manchester and don't know anyone called Margaret, I never realised I was that famous:-)

My-life/people search charged my credit card and has not given me any info. I called the 800 # for customer service thinking maybe I was not doing something incorrectly. Not only could they not help me, I was told that they did not receive my payment, therefore I did not have an account with them. According o my credit card statement, I DO have an account with them. Eventhough I did not sign up for recurring payments, I have a feeling thet will TRY to charge me again. DO NOT EVEN GO ON THEIR WEBSITE! Total scam!
