Signed on for a $1 trial membership. Next thing my credit card is getting dinged $14. Cant get deactivate account online, need to call phone number that no one answers

I HAVE HAD TO CALL TWICE NOW TO GET MY ACCOUNT CANCELED AND INSTEAD OF CANCELING MY ACCOUNT THEY RECHARGED ME FOR IT TWICE IN ONE MONTH. I HAVE HAD TO SEND THEM A COPY OF MY BANK STATEMENT TO SHOW THEM WHERE THEY MESSED UP AND OF COURSE I HAVEN'T HEARD BACK FROM THEM. THE TWO CUSTOMER SERVICE REPS THAT I HAVE TALKED TO ACT LIKE THEY DON'T KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT HOW THIS COULD HAPPEN. GIVE ME A BREAK. I EVEN HAVE AN EMAIL FROM THE FIRST CSR STATING THAT THEY WERE GOING TO REFUND ME MY MONEY, BUT LIKE I SAID THEY CHARGED ME A SECONDED TIME INSTEAD OF REFUNDING...

Unreliable there information is spotty and old.

I signed up as I was told there was information about me all over the web and they would show me the information reveled about me. When I googled my name prior to connecting with My Life, nothing came up. They showed me the my information available for everyone to see, but it wasn't even me. Now when I google my name, all this personal information from the company "My Life" has exposed and is now on the web. When you call there complaint department, they keep you holding for over 10 minutes. Someone finally answers, stating its a bad connection and for you to call them back and they hang up! Very frustrating! I called back the number to sign up and was connected right away. I told them what happened and wanted my $14.95 back. He told me, I couldn't do a background check on myself, but if I upgraded to the premier package I would be able to get the information I wanted initially. I told him, I wanted nothing to do with his company and I would report the "My Life" company. He issued me a credit, but now all my personal information is out there! Don't sign up.

If you look up the address, it comes back as the UPS store in Los Angeles. These piece of $#*! people need to be put in jail and gang raped.

Did a search for my name - I am a "JR" and it I see that it is listing my father as age 90 something and he passed away 25 years ago - don't think you will get a very accurate report for him

I WENT ON WITH THE PROMISE THAT IF I CANCELED BEFORE THE TRIAL PERIOD ENDED I WOULDNT BE CHARGED. I MADE A SPECIAL EFFORT TO CANCEL FOR THIS REASON. WHEN I CALLED THEY DENIED IT WAS CANCELED BECAUSE I HAD CONTINUED TO USE IT PAST THE TRIAL PERIOD. THIS WAS NOT TRUE. THIS CO. IS PURELY CROOKED AND DO EVVERYTHING AND ANYTHING TO SET IT UP SO YOU HAVE TO PAY BEWARE

I just posted my experience with MyLife/PeopleSearch. One more thing I forgot to post: They sport the Better Business Bureau (BBB) logo. Do not be fooled like I was!

These life scam bags have stolen my details, that's fraud, I will be taking that to court if I'm still these within 24 hours.

Just bad. Don't trust this site and good luck verifying the information they provide. A friend sent me my profile. Hilarious! And very incorrect!

Absolute garbage. Total scam. Do not give your card information or you'll play hell cancelling and getting a refund of your money.

They have bogus information about me on their stupid site. How can sites like these get away with posting false information?

Complete scam! And they charge you even if you cancel! Do not recommend! Plus their customer service is beyond ridiculous!

This website is horrible. How can you allow people to leave reviews on individuals that can ruin their chances of getting a job and can affect reps.

It's MUCH worse than you think.

Even if you go through the arduous process of getting them to remove your profile on MyLife, it's not TRULY removed. They show it as removed if you're a human using a web browser. But they deceive Google into thinking your page is still live, so Google indexes and caches the page. And anyone can still read your MyLife page by clicking on the little green triangle on the Google result to read the cached page. Pure Evil.

Proof? Here's a Google expert explaining how they are doing it at the following link. So far he hasn't succeeded in getting Google to take action.

RIP off!, I paid for one month to try and find a long lost relative after his father died. What this page showed me was all crap. Most of it was not even accurate. When I tried to see beyond the contact information, it took forever to download and then when it was done, it told me I had to pay to see it! I already paid! I called to find out what was up. She told me that for what I paid, I got unlimited BASIC background check and 1 complete background check that was supposed to include everything, from social media accounts to criminal records. It kept trying to charge me for the ONE I tried to get. She said she would email me the background check. Same thing. Downloads and takes me to pay page! Not to mention that I had already called a week ago to make sure it wouldnt automatically renew and they assured me they would cancel the auto renew... looked today, still set to renew. This is a complete scam. I looked at MY basic info and I found out I am an African american Jewish woman that makes $30,000 a year. I am a white, atheist, that is a stay at home mother... BIG MISTAKES. DO NOT GUVE THIS SITE YOUR MONEY!

It's an expensive service. When I tried to cancel, they gave me a hard time. Additionally, they put me on hold for way longer than needed.

This horrible website posts false and inaccurate information about the people it lists there. It's unreliable. Avoid it.

I checked my profile on MyLife. I was surprised by the low reputation score it was carrying for me, so I dug a bit deeper. These are the errors I found in only a quick 30-second perusal:

Incorrect Address
Incorrect Phone Number
Incorrect value of house - I have two, the lesser of which is worth double and a half the value shown
People with whom I associate - did not recognize most of the names
Neighbors - one neighbor was listed three times--slightly different versions of her name--and each listing had a different reputation score
Report showed a criminal record or violation--I could not see specifics--when none exists

When I called to attempt to correct the errors (I used phone option 3), I was told I was 23rd in line to speak to someone. I have a feeling it will be a waste of time, but I will try to correct the record in some way. In the meanwhile, I can only hope that anyone who wants info on me will be intelligent enough to know better than to use this worthless excuse for a service.

I learned a lot from the reading and I hope that I can keep on moving forward with this great information to strive for greatness.

A complete fake. Any attempt to use if ask for $$$. I have deleted my account and I would recommned everyone else does as well.

Your ratings are rock bottom so that tells me something isn't right about your company. Will check with BBB also and see what they have to say.
