I just won't recommend them to no one! My monthly payment is $28 but I get charge $40 for late payment. When you are ready to make a payment they are unreachable. And they also keep blowing your phone... it actually a true nightmare with the credit care synchrony bank.
This lender has lowered my credit on two occasions. I had finally gotten my credit up to good standing after going through a divorce where my ex-wife ruined my credit. I got remarried and lost some weight and went into a Belk's to get some celebratory new clothes. They asked us if we would like a card to establish better credit and we agreed. Initially, they gave me a credit line of $800.00. We spent $300 that day and got some new clothes. When I got home, I set up the account and automatic payment. For a few months, I made payments on the account and brought the balance back down to $550. Then I got a letter from Synchrony Bank stating they lowered my credit line to $550. Then, because of what they did to me, my credit dropped 40 points into needs work. I had never missed a payment, on this card or any of my credit accounts. I called Synchrony Bank and they did nothing. I also called the credit reporting agencies and though the agent was validating, they could do nothing. It took several months to get some of my credit points back. Then, this morning, they lowered my line again to just over the balance I had paid down, to $466.00. I am going to pay off this card and never use it again or shop at Belk's ever. Do not apply for a Belk card because Synchrony Bank is a predatory bank that messes with people's lives through credit. Buyer beware.
I seriously wish I can give a lower rating than 1 star. This company is a joke. They give you an app to make your payments on but it is never working. It has been down for over a month and there is no way to contact Customer Support. I am NOT allowed to make any payments and will sue the hell out of this piss poor company if they even so much as think about affecting my credit because of it.
I had a credit limit of $1500 with amazon prime store card. For no reason it was lowered to $470 putting me over limit, reducing my credit score and leaving a scar on my perfect credit rating and worthiness. I have never missed or made a late payment. Synchrony bank screwed me.

I have had several accounts with Synchrony bank, all my experiences have been horrible. They will arbitrarily lower your credit amount or close your account, even if you have been 100% on time, and pay off your account. They claim that Trans Union is reporting that we have too much dept, high balances, and little credit. However the opposite was true with us. We have an 830 Fico Score, our credit report with Trans Union shows we have $100,000 available in revolving available, less then 5% in balances on that credit. They are liars, untrustworthy, the worst bank I have ever worked with in 50 years. DON'T USE THEM!

I have many accounts through synchrony and all of the sudden they closed both of my accounts. They charge high deferral interest charges and their customer service people are outsourced so you can't understand what they are saying and on top of it you almost never get the US. The CS person said I had no money in my account and I told him I had fraud on my account and he proceeded to tell me that it's not true.
Very rude and disrespectful to customers. I give them a half a star.
I was approved for $6,500 credit line at a furniture store. Total purchase price was $4,500 a few months ago. Since then, I've paid more than the minimum due but also purchased a car. Because the car purchase lowered my credit temporarily, they lowered my credit limit to $4,000, totally slamming my credit score.
In essence I'm being penalized for making payments above the minimum balance because if I had only made the minimum, they wouldn't have been able to lower it as much. You call for customer support and they say "as long as you make the minimum payment, your account will be in good standing". No $#*!, that's not the complaint. This company is worse than trash. You ask for a supervisor and the same person comes on, asking more questions as if they're the supervisors spokesperson. Pardon my language but this $#*! is crazy and I'm so frustrated with them.

For anyone that is even considering this crappy company, don't do it. They closed my Care credit account with zero balance. Today they close my furniture store account, and I have never missed a payment. This company just plain suck. They close accounts whenever they feel like it, and give you a b******t excuse why they did it. If I could sue them I would.

They make money off of the card holder by way of false interest and late fees. I canceled my card immediately. Beware of this company.

These folks are just bad at their jobs. Real bad. Hard to believe Amazon trusts them with their credit card / store card business. And that's if you're fortunate enough and patient enough to reach a live representative. Then when you finally get one, they are either inept or snarky and assuming. Terrible service and an error-prone, infuriating automated system.

This bank sucks. My cards were paid off and in good standing but apparently their guidelines changed and my 670 credit score doesn't meet the criteria so they just closed my credit card without notification. Why would you allow me to open the card only to close it? My score is higher now then when I opened the card I could see if I wasn't making payments on time but I was always on time didn't even have a balance. This bank pick and choose their customers. I'll never recommend this company to anyone
1. This company, apparently, even during the challenges of covid Do Not provide the typical grace period. Perhaps this is how they offer no interest rates to their vendors. They just charge interest even if you have paid over the minimum payment previously
2. Their web site is not user friendly, despite paying on line one month the next they can't locate your information to allow you to sign in.

Synchrony Bank pre-approved me for a Sam's Club credit card ($6000). When I applied for the account at Sam's Club, I was able to use the account right away to pay the membership fee. The card arrived about a week later, and when I went to activate the card, I discovered Synchrony had closed the account - along with 7 other accounts. I've never made a late payment, I pay in full or use 0 percent financing, and I have a 760+ credit score, and an income over $100,000. Synchrony's reason for closing the account? I'm a high risk. Synchrony kept my Venmo account open with a $10,000 credit line, a strange move to make for their high risk customer. There's no logic behind their actions. I enjoyed using Synchrony's cards for the rewards, but I will never attempt to open an account with them again. It's not worth the aggravation and unpredictability.
I applied for an account with Guitar Center. I filled out the soft check info and was approved for $500. After going through their lengthy process of video, pictures etc. I was not approved and left with a hard check on my credit I've been working so hard to approve. Thanks for the misleading
Absolutely the worse company ever. I have a credit score of 820, high salary and an existing Lowes card through them but they denied my application for a different store and would not tell my why over the phone. Customer Service and their Manager were very rude and I will not give my business to ANY company that uses Synchrony.
I asked for a paper statement and found that every 6 months no interest charge had a huge chunk of interest added. I intend to get my money back if I I have to file with every federal agency in the country.

I have 3 accounts with synchrony and get 5-12 calls a day. My payments are up to date but they just want to call and "remind" you that you have a payment coming up. They randomly charge you a late few and constantly lower your limit which screws with your credit score even if you make every payment on time...
They do not tell people that their is a 6 month period to pay your balance or you are charged an extra 65 percent interest in contract. On top of that they do not tell tou that if you are 2 hours late on payment you be charged 30 dollars and if your late again it will go up even more. Evil company do not go through them.

I tried to add my 2nd Synchrony card to my account and the whole process took almost 20 minutes only to get an internal error from their server. Their customer service is arguably in the top 10 for being worthless.
I was approved and I paid my balance on time every month. Even within the 0 % interest term. This company decided to first lower the credit limit, and just now, after I paid it in full within the 18 months 0% interest period. They decided to close my account! I was infurated, not because I want to keep using the card, but because they damaged my credit score even more. They have the audacity to say that the COMPUTER., not an actual person, reviews the accounts. My income was lower last year like so many other people, and I still manage to pay this company s bill. And this is how they treated me. Once again greed and capitalism at its best.
Have had a problem with a TJMaxx Sync card since end of April 2023. I have not used since I reported the compromised charges in May 2023. When you look up the sites that charged they are bogus companies. Today s June 28 2023 and the items are still appearing on the billing. I am now being told it will take up to 60 days. I bet Sync will not wait 60 days for their money. This is the second store with a Sync card and I had similar experience with the other. Will never have a Synchrony Bank card
Extremely horrendous costumer service, they give no solutions, no answers, coudn't even change my card on file after giving all my info and confirming it was me, because of security reasons like really? No one wants to pay someone elses bill! I've called and use the chat, always useless people. I've been trying to reset my online account since the day I started with this company. I have been requesting a check for the $1546 credit on my Synchrony Bank PayPal Mastercard for more than a month now. A cruise I booked in February was cancelled in April and the refund finally came in May. I requested a check for my credit balance several times... nothing. Last week I closed me account and requested a check for the credit balance again. Today, the credit balance still shows and I haven't received anything. I've been without this money for more than 3 months now. Synchrony Bank is the worst bank I have ever dealt with. I got my first credit card in 1986.
I wish I could give zero stars. I had issues logging in to make a payment and finally got help after a lot of hassle. My payment did not go through and they said it's from insufficient funds despite the fact there was money in my account. Since then, I had paid what was owed as well as what was the next month's payment. I was shocked today when I got a letter today in the mail saying they close my account -without notice. Not only have they been horrible to work with and have not communicated well, I would definitely not use them -I am hoping to pay off another card I have a different store with them soon as I can close it and not have to interact with them further. They have been that bad. I definitely don't recommend them in the future. I don't know how they stay in business with such terrible customer service!

Synchrony Made it hard for disputing! My card # got charged in TX lowes, and I am in NY, fraud department at Sunchrony now want my drivers license or passport on file in order to put dispute request? They even suggested personal video on file? This is no brainer, the more personal information in computer world the more fraud will follow!
I opened a Lenscrafters account and the person at the store entered my email with a typo PLUS a completely wrong mailing address. I didn't get any bills and only remembered this account when checking my credit report. I called immediately and had them look up my account because I didn't even get a card in the mail! I corrected the information and made a large payment. I filed a credit dispute but they still closed my account because of missed payments; I was up to date when they closed my account! Now I can't use the app to make payments and it's even harder. Such a horrible predatory and incompetent company.
I opened a account. Changed due date so I could make payments on time never did so I payed late fee every month so I payed a large payment to get caught up and the next month wated me to pay 300$ more then regular payment and to top it all off they closed my account for paying them on time.well necessary to say they lost a customer and money shame on them
