They look real and very serious until you gave them a try. They will ask you ton of documents to prove your identity until you get tired to do so. They suspended my withdrawals as well as my balance of $*******. Stay away from HitBTC because they don't allow withdrawal after you deposit so it will be wise to rather invest in a more competent company lik tradecrypts. C -o+

I Have multiple CC accounts with them, 1 was for PC Richards, they over charged me interest, on a promo that expired. I would make extra payments a month and pay 4-5 hundred dollars more than the minimum due. I would call them to have that extra money go towards the high interest bill. Total amount of purchase was $1518.00 dollars. In 5 months, I sent them over $2700. Towards that charge. (That does not include my regular payments towards the bill). But these jerkoffs, never put it towards the high interest charge, they put it towards the interest free charges. EVERY month I would I see more interest on the bill and that amount not going down. SO, I would call and complain. EVERY TIME, so sorry didn't know, I'll try to fix it. NOTHING...So, I finally got fed up with them, took out money out of my retirement, and paid them off. I overpaid the total balance due. Just wanted them paid off. These clowns, cashed my check, and held the overpayment refund for 30 days. After 30 days they sent me a check for $200.90, saying I overpaid, here is my refund. NOW, my balance should be 0$ correct. HAHA, NOT WITH THESE SCAMERS. Just got a bill for $2.00, for Interest on a 0$ balance account. PLEASE STAY AWAY, PLEASE TAKE THIS ADVICE, THIS IS BY FAR THE WORST BANK EVER TO DEAL WITH. IF YOU DO USE THEM BEWARE...
Synchrony is horrible! Do not get any of their credit cards! They don't like for you to make payments before they are due. They hold your payments, even on Electronic Bill Pay, and will not put it back into your availability to spend. They can not receive those types of payments unless you have the money in your bank to cover them. Seriously? They are waiting for them to clear? Amex and BoA doesn't do anything like that. Watch out for this if you are planning on using your card(s) for holiday shopping. Also, their customer service leaves much to be desired!
This lender has lowered my credit on two occasions. I had finally gotten my credit up to good standing after going through a divorce where my ex-wife ruined my credit. I got remarried and lost some weight and went into a Belk's to get some celebratory new clothes. They asked us if we would like a card to establish better credit and we agreed. Initially, they gave me a credit line of $800.00. We spent $300 that day and got some new clothes. When I got home, I set up the account and automatic payment. For a few months, I made payments on the account and brought the balance back down to $550. Then I got a letter from Synchrony Bank stating they lowered my credit line to $550. Then, because of what they did to me, my credit dropped 40 points into needs work. I had never missed a payment, on this card or any of my credit accounts. I called Synchrony Bank and they did nothing. I also called the credit reporting agencies and though the agent was validating, they could do nothing. It took several months to get some of my credit points back. Then, this morning, they lowered my line again to just over the balance I had paid down, to $466.00. I am going to pay off this card and never use it again or shop at Belk's ever. Do not apply for a Belk card because Synchrony Bank is a predatory bank that messes with people's lives through credit. Buyer beware.
Customer reps hangs up if they don't know how to help. Online system won't let you log in. Can't get help on customer service without know EVERYTHING you need that's in the portal but you can't log in. One big circus dealing with these people.
NEVER use Synchrony for CDs:
- I informed them over the phone and in writing on 05/01/2023 that I wanted to cash in my CD that matured on 04/28/2023.
- I uploaded their form on 05/01/2023.
- I made an error by not selecting state tax be withheld.
- They did not inform me of this until 15 days after they received my distribution request, as I did not receive their 05/10/2023 letter until 05/16/2023.
- I corrected this less than 48 hours later.
- They never communicate in a timely manner or call back when they say they will.
- Their staff made multiple errors in closing out this CD and transferring the funds.
- They informed me by letter dated 05/12/2023 they auto-renewed the CD.
- On 05/26/2023 they transferred the funds, less a $62.95 penalty for "early withdrawal," from the CD I made perfectly clear to them i did not want renewed.
- Escalations Dept. Supervisor Kim refused to speak to me on phone. She stated, per CSR Theresa, I am completely at fault for delaying the transfer of funds so they decided to renew the CD.
- Supposedly another Escalations employee (who is a subordinate of Kim?) will take a look. CSR Theresa on 02/20/2024 said they "should" send me a letter when I asked if I was supposed to keep calling them back to check status.
- I told her I'll just start filing complaints with BBB, CFBD, FDIC, etc., which I have. She just laughed...
Paid off my card, $4,000. Was told there was now a hold on my account for a week due to the payment size. I asked for a review by a person, was told that's not possible. I will be canceling my card.
So their auto-withdrawal function doesn't work, and their intake staff on the phones or chat aren't trained or have interface to address it (so their machines won't take your monthly payment and it'll also be held against you). In the year 2023 I had to make manual monthly payments to avoid the drama. If you need the credit take it, but if you have the time/space to look for other credit lines (look for them; there are better organized banks).
This is the worst bank that anyone can deal with, they give u a credit limit on 4 different credit card and if your score drop by 3 to.5 points they don't tell you they drop your limit down from 4000 to 250 and 100 dollars and wait until 30 to mail you a letter so whoever read this I suggest please don't use this bank for anything find a different bank and plus since they drop.your credit limit your score will.drop from 650 to 550 behind this bank
Absolute worst customer service in the world. They make billing mistakes, charge you interest and late fees associated with those mistakes and then refuse to correct the issues. They make money off of the card holder by way of false interest and late fees. I canceled my card immediately. Beware of this company.
No matter what number one calls, it is always answered by same STUPID computer. No way to get to a real live person! So relieved that I will never have to do business with them again! Just like this review. Have to jump your hoops
I am deeply dissatisfied with my experience with Synchrony and their Credit Security Service. In April 2021, I opted for a financing option for my new Air Conditioning system, and it has turned into a nightmare.
Automatic monthly payments of $285 were set up, and I recently discovered an unauthorized balance of $4,268.37 on November 13,2023. Shockingly, Synchrony had enrolled me in their Credit Security program without my consent, charging an outrageous $159.5 monthly feeāmore than half of my original loan payment. This fee accrued interest at 26.99%, resulting in an unjustifiable balance.
When I contacted customer service, they claimed I had "opted in" during the loan application, a fact that was never clearly communicated. Despite my objections, they offered only a partial refund of $1,785.89, insisting I bear responsibility for the remaining $2,482.48.
This resolution is unacceptable, as I never willingly enrolled in or desired the Credit Security Service. Paying the contested $2,482.48 under duress is my only option to avoid further interest charges.
I urge others to be cautious when dealing with Synchrony, as their unethical practices have had a severe impact on my financial well-being. I've filed a complaint with the Better Business Bureau and requested an investigation with the NJ Department of Banking and Insurance to address potential deceptive practices.
Consumers deserve transparency and fairness, neither of which I experienced in this situation.
They do not tell people that their is a 6 month period to pay your balance or you are charged an extra 65 percent interest in contract. On top of that they do not tell tou that if you are 2 hours late on payment you be charged 30 dollars and if your late again it will go up even more. Evil company do not go through them.
Synchrony Bank recently closed 3 of my accounts with them and this decision was completely unwarranted. I had two Guitar Center cards and one Levin Furniture card. I found out about this through a push notification with Credit Karma. I am more so concerned about the Levin account. I called into customer service and the first representative I spoke with was extremely rude. He told me a letter was sent to me and he read the text of that letter. He eventually hung up on me. The reasons for my closure is completely bogus. I understand I agreed to their terms and conditions upon opening the account, but that doesn't mean I can't dispute their decision. I called back in and spoke with a friendly rep who transferred me to a supervisor. The supervisor told me it is impossible to reinstate my account, although reading some of the other complaints on BBB it seems they did reinstate other accounts for people. She gave me the corporate address to which I mailed a letter. I also filed a complaint through the chat system on their website. They sent me an email a few days letter with another letter that basically said the same thing as the first one. It was a do not reply email address so I couldn't send a response back. I
Have made every single payment on time for all 3 accounts that were closed, I had these accounts for years! It's no wonder why these guys have a 1.9 BBB rating. Closing your customers' accounts for bogus reasons is terrible customer service. I will consider my complaint resolved when all 3 of my closed accounts are re-opened. Until then, I will continue mailing letters and filing complaints with customer service.
I have made a complaint in Synchrony since a few months ago I applied for financing through an air conditioning sales company. I made a claim, because this company did not comply with all the agreed terms and I lost 7 days of work every day that they came to check the air. Synchrony is the intermediary and therefore the one that pays them. I have submitted everything required such as messages, calls, the times the technicians have come, photos of the air conditioning thermostat showing that the unit was not working correctly, etc. I never asked for a full refund of the payment, I only asked that the other company pay compensation for the services not offered on time and the quality of the service mentioned. I only ask that I be provided with the service for which I paid and if I do not pay for that type of service that I be charged in the same way as the service provided by that company. Synchrony, as an intermediary and mediator in this situation, must review all the information provided before making a resolution in favor of the company. It is unfortunate that companies like this are playing like this with customers. I don't recommend it to anyone. I hope with this I can help at least 1 person make a decision before using the services of Synchrony Financial Services.
I have had several accounts with Synchrony bank, all my experiences have been horrible. They will arbitrarily lower your credit amount or close your account, even if you have been 100% on time, and pay off your account. They claim that Trans Union is reporting that we have too much dept, high balances, and little credit. However the opposite was true with us. We have an 830 Fico Score, our credit report with Trans Union shows we have $100,000 available in revolving available, less then 5% in balances on that credit. They are liars, untrustworthy, the worst bank I have ever worked with in 50 years. DON'T USE THEM!
This company is absolutely horrible with communication. After the amount of money I have spent with this card, they cancelled my card for non use without notice, devastating my credit score. There are too many other options, advise you to get a different financing company
After being a member for years, I had an issue in my personal life and they canceled my Lowes credit card. This then caused my credit to go down and I am very unpleased with them/
This is a HORRIBLE company to deal with for credit, I have had a Home Design credit card with this company since 2020, I used it 1 time to help finance the remodeling of my kitchen. I have been paying the card off, ON TIME, then I get a electronic email saying they are closing my account, but my credit rating from them has been positive. This is SO stupid and this is a incompetent company and I don't even use the card anyway. No reason to close an account that is current.
Recently, I went on a business trip. I decided to use my synchrony card and paid the balance down to zero, so I would have $1,000 to use for my hotel. I spoke to them a couple of days before the trip to make sure that they knew I was traveling, so I could use the balance to pay the hotel. When I got to my destination, my card was declined. I discovered that within the past two days they had lowered my credit limit to $100. I did not have another credit card with me that had a balance over $1,000, so I had to get assistance from my husband to help me pay the hotel bill. It was an embarrassing situation. I later found out they had lowered my credit limit, because they said I didn't have a mortgage payment. I have paid my mortgage off.
They said I had too many credit cards and they thought my balances were too high. My balances are 48% average of each balance. I had paid their account on time...never gone over the credit limit, and I had paid the balance down to zero. I'm feeling I am in a world of credit, where a person of good income and genuinely paying my bills on time.does not have a lot of recourse for something that I feel was unjust in this situation. So I'm posting this review here, if you can avoid using Synchrony Bank.avoid them. They are related to JCPenney and other major credit card accounts.
This is a terrible company that lowered my credit limit unjustly. The failed to give me proper notice that they were lowering it. They said nothing to me 2 days before when I called them to tell them I was doing my trip.
I was embarrassed, stressed, and I had paid their credit card in an exemplary matter. I paid at least $100 each month when the payment was only $30, and I had paid the balance off. Perhaps that's what they didn't like, that they couldn't make enough money off of me..
