Scam site! Not professional. They will banned account after several days although they are unique and real from different person or IPs. Why people must index their website here? Waste time! Avoid Mywot!

1) Mass rating system. One platinum member can turn a website reputation down from Green to RED!. People rating websites are not customers to write reviews.

2) Some users attack businesses to sell back the Green (good) reputation to that business at a fee.

3) No customer service to complain the fraud.

4) Rude staff when you report the problems to them

5) Any one rate MyWOT on their own website scoreboard will get banned from their website and the comment will be removed. Serious ethical issue.

I first went to this website to leave a comment for another website that was false reported. This then brought attacks to my website. I dont see a way to have your website's reputation improved after their high level users slander it. You will just be marked as spam if you try to comment favorably. Support does nothing to help. They do more on here to try and hide these comments.

This website manipulates ratings. The idea behind the project is nice but the fact that any user can click on green or red button to rank is VERY bad. The user rating the site is not even a customer so basically it makes no sense they should be able rate "Vendor reliability". Also their child safety rating makes no sense since i have seen sites with poor child safety but the site clearly states no service for children

This site offers no protection and does not do what it claims. High rated users and mods attack with comments and negative reviews. Search Google about myWOT and you will find endless complaints about Web of Trust.

My site received 1 troll review from WOT:
Results are a poor reputation and very poor child safety rating.

It is amazing because our site is child friendly and we have millions of positive reviews from actual customers. You can even read actual ratings and reviews from customers, which are all real. You can't rate or review a product or service unless you made a purchase.

WOT is very damaging to legitimate businesses and everyone should do everything in their power to put this website out of business.

Just another extortion scam site, i have a website that has never even been used and it has a very bad reputation already on MyWot, when i emailed them to rectify it they asked for money. Nothing but out and out cyber criminals.

Their "Anti-Virus" concept looks great, their "consumer protection" does not. Simply don't like it. I posted a positive review about a product I liked. You see that I posted the review, the overall rating of the product is still 0. Don't understand how this site works! I stay on SiteJabber, com!

Mywot is a scam based site. All the reviews given by their member are either paid or baseless. Mywot don't take up any responsibility against such comments or rating.
There are ample proof against their gold and platinum members for posting paid reviews or posting useless comment just to increase post count. But unfortunately they dont realize that their false rating are ruining someone business.
Is there any way to complaint against this site to stop the spam and take it down?

Mainly websites that provide service or sell something.
They do this to attract visitors, as when a person want to buy something
Or a service he try to look for reviews about the products, and he ends visiting

mywot.com itself is a scam site

Not a reliable review or rating website. My website got attacked by 1 person. When I asked why, he posted on a board on mywot.com that everyone should rate my website badly. Which additional poor ratings came in once that was published. I then read countless accounts of how people on mywot do group attacks and gang up on you. I also went to wotratings.com (which will be the next website I rate) and had them improve my rating. It took about 2 months to get me from red to light green, so for that I'm happy. Don't trust mywot.com ratings/review. It seems like it's mostly online trolls trying to bully people around but what they really do is try to unfairly hurt your online business' credibility. I'm not sure how they get away with this sort of thing.

WOT is a strange Internet project. They declares they fight against scam, do you believe them? I'm not!

I had the account with WOT some time ago. Everything was right but once I put the comment against famous Russian scammer reg.ru. It wasn't my emotions I had the evidences. The day after as I published my comments my WOT account was blocked, the reason - duplicate accounts. Ha-ha! I had one account only!

If WOT protects scammers they must declare it!

I said farewell to WOT. Don't trust them!

These guys do not provide any recourse for web site owners to challenge ratings nor any transparency around how ratings were given. Some members are able to rate multiple times and if you're on someone's wrong side it can be open to abuse. So many of the sites I trust are rated poorly and some questionable sites are rated high, Goes to show, things aren't always what they appear - especially on mywot.com

NEVER register your site on MyWoT. They are a bunch of hungry trolls.

Everything is run by "power users" that dominate the voting. They decide which sites are branded "scams" with little or no evidence. Often just to troll an honest site owner.

NOONE listens to them anymore and they have the reputation and trust themselves of a TOILET SEAT!

They also have no business model. So they depend on selling your browsing data from their browser apps to third parties that then use it for scams.

Crowdsource site that allows users to rate sites on opinions rather that actual facts. A negative review can be based on a lack of understanding of the sites functionality.

WOT give no option to refute of challenge a negative rating given to a site.

This site does nothing more than allow people you don't even know to go out and label your site a scam when it is a legitimate business.

How do I know this? Because it labeled my site a scam and a phishing site. Well, please teach me how to do these things, ok?

Unless you've actually bought from a website, how can you really know that the site is a scam?

One of the people who gave me a bad rating didn't like something I said in a review about their website. What I said was true.

Don't waste your time with this junk. Do an actual search in the search engines to see what the internet as a whole says about a site.

I treat my customers the way I want to be treated. I follow the golden rule, and the golden rule says, "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you.

Well, MyWot should be removed from the internet. BTW, it's a crime to libel someone and say something that is untrue, and that's exactly what this site does.

If I had a chance to set zero, I would do that. MyWOT is bogus. Managing 100 accounts with strong rating they ruin reputation of many good web-sites posting irrelative comments and giving poor rating. Obviously most phishing site ever

Mywot is a scam and a spyware site. Their browser add on sends all of your browsing data back to their servers! You can see for yourself by running wireshark. If you really want to be safe on the net then use some real security tools like norton, mcafee, avg etc

The site markets it self as a fair place for websites to be reviewed. Well, I'm afraid that this aint the case!

The site offers a top 10 reviewers table, which has resulted in huge amounts of negative reviews, on perfectly safe sites.

Their customer service is non-the-better, and they often reply with the default 'please resolve this issue with the reviewer'

Most of the reviews on there are untrue, and shouldn't be trusted.

Mywot.com is a scam. Groups of organized trolls will rate any site down without providing any evidence. The site doesn't offer any mechanism to dispute the findings. The reviews tend to offer poor ratings to sites of alternative views or non conforming to main stream ideas.

MyWOT is abusive and criminal. They allow multiple accounts so their rating system is unfair and harmful to your site. Here is a screenshot of a message on "request a site evaluation" PUBLIC FORUM. They claim to evaluated the 'trustworthiness' and 'child safty" of a site. Yet they are biased and judge unfairly. Pictured is the response from one of their demeaning and sarcastic power players..

Just pathetic when you read the ratings of mywot.com super users shazza or superhero58, hundred of thoudand of negative ratings come from these users and no one can rate so many websites monthly. Mywot.com is not to be trusted at all, seems also to have a problem with facebook and google already.

Stay away from mywot.com and do not make the mistake to register your website, it is likely that they will screw your reputation.

This service accused my website in referrer spam. All mywot's reviews is inappropriate, i can send "referrer spam" to any website using this code - http://stackoverflow.com/questions/*******/php-referer-redirect-script. Any webmaster can discredit competitors by referrer spam.
