Nature Hills Nursery

My order for 3 tea olive trees arrived much more quickly than I could have hoped. They are beautiful young trees that were perfectly and creatively packaged to protect them from damage. I can't wait to get them in the ground. Most things grow quickly in Florida, and these trees will make a lovely and fragrant addition to my front yard.

The plants that arrived looked nothing like the web pictures. They were on death's door on arrival, and did indeed die shortly thereafter. Granted, I ordered them very late in the season, but if they weren't healthy and it was too late to plant, they should have refused the order. The plants also arrived in pretty beaten up boxes. I will not use this vendor again.

Don't order anything from here! We spent hundreds to avoid going into the store with COVID and 2 of our trees died 1-2 weeks after planting. We watered them as needed and had fertilizer stakes in. The other 2 we ordered are fine and we did the same thing to all. Now they are refusing to send us new ones and instead want us to pay for shipping and 50% of the tree! They don't stand behind their products!

I recently ordered a Southern Star Anise in a number 3 pot from Nature Hills. It arrived quickly and in excellent condition, in part due to the heavy duty packaging, The shrub was surprisingly large (over 3 feet) with a well-developed root system. While the price was fairly high, it was commensurate with the quality. Its a case of "you get what you pay for"

I ordered a five-foot tree, and Nature Hills sent one nearly six feet tall. It arrived exactly as predicted, in excellent condition, and is now thriving in its new home. I wish I could send a photo, but my phone is not sufficiently advanced.

Helpful customer service when I called to order tree. Going through first winter this year but hopefully it will not have an issue. If so, I suspect they will be helpful. I did purchase a replacement warranty to guarantee success.

I have come to look forward to receiving new trees from Nature Hills. We have purchased five or six beautiful trees from them in the last couple of years, and the latest is no exception. Our new Native Plum has a fine form, and is doing well in our yard.

I received two plants on June 1 and put them into the ground. I contacted them on June 30 to get have new plants sent and was told that. I could only get a 50% credit toward. New plants and pay my own shipping… they then had the audacity to say it took me 2 months to report the plants as dead… do the math.

There is no warranty on the junk they send, they will not stand behind their products. I was given the run around for six months about a $800 refund, even after they admitted I was correct. Then, just stopped communication. Not sure how they sleep at night

I had to replace arose bush recently due to some extreme heat this summer. I wanted something similar and wow was I ever pleased with the beautiful plant I received from nature hills. It was huge and so healthy. It also came with clear planting instructions (always a plus for this old brain). It has done so well and is just beautiful. I plan on using this site again for sure.

I have had bad experiences with purchasing woody shrubs and trees through on line sellers before so I was skeptical when I ordered my plum trees from Nature Hills this year. Wow, I was pleasantly surprised with the healthy vigorous trees that arrived. They have been in the ground for 3 months now and are doing great. I would definitely purchase plants again from Nature Hills.

We bought 5 bare root plants and only 1 lived. Fortunately, we had paid the extra money to get the Warranty. However, we found out that we would have to pay a higher rate to ship the replacement plants than their standard shipping. For a replacement order on a credit of $75 we had to pay $30 for shipping! Be careful buying from this company.

First time customer and will definately be back next year. Plants were beautiful and healthy and are thriving in my garden. Plants were packed well so no damage whatsoever. Highly recommend. Prices may seem higher than other sites but plants received are more mature and larger.

I order a Japanese Maple and it was great, about two feet tall and healthy. So I figured I'll order another. They second one wasn't as nice, it was small and not so healthy looking. But it looks better now. Just temper your expectations, you don't get to pick your plants, so you may be disappointed. Only buy here if you're not a plant snob.

I have purchased several trees and they ALWAYS show up fresh and none have ever gone through any "recovery" periods. Its like they were planted in my soil from day one as they are all hardy and start growing immediately and have lovely foliage. Highly recommended.

I ordered a catalpa tree from Nature Hills for $100 plus $20 shipping in March and planted it when it arrived. The weather was good and I watered the tree as necessary. The tree never showed a trace of life and was basically never better than a dead stick. I called the company and they said they would send out another for $50 more plus shipping. That doesn't seem like a good deal. Other stores like Santa Fe Gardens and all the local nurseries offer full replacement. I will not buy from Nature again but will shop locally with a reputable company that doesn't just send out dead sticks.

I was please with the Little Pony Plum tree I received within 4 business days of ordering. It was very healthy with leaves on the branches. I've had it planted for a week and it's starting to get new flowers (it's mid March in North Texas to its Spring). I received a different tree from a competitor the same day. It had a few small branches broken off in the box even though it was packed the same as my Plum tree.

I emailed the merchant to request a refund for the reasons below and they declined. I offered to accept a partial refund (see email below), but they did not reply. I was forced to file a dispute with PayPal.

* The plant arrived damaged
* The plant was loose inside the box and the box showed some damage
* The photo on the website is not an accurate portrayal of the plant received
* It was considerably smaller than what was expected

12/06: "I'm dismayed with your unwillingness to make this right. I'm not happy with the plant, period, for the reasons I've detailed previously. To save us both the aggravations I would consider a partial refund, but would much prefer a return and full refund. If we can't come to an amicable solution by the end of next week I'll return the plant on 12/19 and dispute the charges with PayPal. Please advise."

The red oak tree i ordered took a week to arrive, and was in excellent condition when it arrived. The short time that I've had it it has grown a foot i live in eastern Nebraska and I'm very impressed on how great it's growing! The tree has grown a foot since the pictures were taken..

This has to be the worst plant nursery experience of a lifetime. They sell tiny seedlings for the same price as brick and mortar nurseries sell for established potted plants.

Half of my purchase died within the first year. Adding insult to injury, you have to pay for replacements and shipping! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM

Total scam and fraud Time delays, broken promises, horrendous customer service, dead products, lies. Never do business with them. I lost $709.00. I'm shocked they are allowed to operate they have numerous complaints that mirror tne above.

I'm old school, reluctant to trust a company really will do what they say. They did. All the live plants arrived fresh and healthy. I couldn't believe it! I very highly recommend - you won't be disappointed.

I ordered two plants on 6/29/20, did not receive it. I emailed them on 7/16/20 and was told the delay was due to weather condition. Now 9/23/20, I still have not received any plants or the booster that was recommended. And now my credit card requested a refund on my behalf and Nature Hills wants to charge a 10% handling fee when they've done nothing and shipped nothing after three months. Oh and on Nature's website's customer review section the fine print stated "your review may not be posted". So they only post good reviews. If you want true reviews about this company, do not rely on their own website, go to 3rd party review sites.
