This is the 3rd and 4th time I have used Nature Hills Nursery ever since last year. I've had two landscapers down here in Texas that my Lilacs, Magnolia tree aren't and don't grow here in Texas. Well after a year ago, they are growing and blooming. Someone here also told me Pink Dogwood trees face the same fate. Well, we'll find out as my trust in the quality of Nature Hills Nursery products goes against the thinking of these native Texans!
I ordered trees about a month before the appropriate planting season for my location. I am now at the end of that planting season and the trees still haven't shipped. I have called every week for the past month, they are still unable to provide an estimate on when the trees will ship. I expressed a concern that the trees will likely not have time to establish a root system now before the hard frost in my area and will likely die. However, despite this I have been advised that I will be charged a 20% fee if I cancel, despite purchasing the 1 year warranty. I do not recommend using this nursery.
I have ordered 6 ~5 foot trees (Chinese Wisteria, 2 Autumn Blaze Maples, two apple trees, and a peach tree) and 3 12" butterfly bushes total between 2 orders and each time the plants arrived here in very sturdy boxes and in great health, although there were many fallen leaves in the boxes and we had a cold spell right after I planted the trees. They have come back this spring in fantastic health even after an April killing frost ruined their small leaves. The bushes took a long time to be delivered, but I assume that was because of below 0 temps. No complaints on shipping. I am completely satisfied and plan to continue ordering from Nature Hills (when bargains appear).

Butterfly garden newbies here, but could not have better guides! We purchased a passion vine and followed the whole life cycle of butterflies every day as we checked it. This was a great biology and conservation lesson.
My daughter has gifted myself and her grandmother several fruit trees from Nature Hills. The key lime is amazing at the growth and productivity in only two years. Their avocado tree far exceeded my home grown from seed. Outgrew and out produced. Her latest gift was the Eldorado peach. Can't wait to see it grow. Trees arrive well packaged and healthy. Highly recommend!

My forsythia arrived on time, well packed and in perfect condition. I planted it as recommended on their site. The plant adapted perfectly with no drooping or lost leaves. Of course, i do talk to it and praise it so that could be an influence. I highly recommend this grower and will use them again.
This was my first order with Nature Hills. The plants arrive healthy and well packaged. So far, I see no sign of shock or wilting. I let my plants rest for several days prior to putting then into the ground. These have just taken off and I've seen substantial growth just in the pots. I will definitely use NH again for plantings.
I ordered quite a few shrubs and perennials this spring from various companies. Nature Hills has consistently sent happy healthy plants. They have a great selection as well. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because they are a bit overpriced imo. I will order from them again.
The 3 trees I ordered were just wonderful! What I failed to realize was that the pistachio trees probably won't do well here. However! With climate change and all and temps rising in this area... I'm keeping my green thumbs crossed!
I ordered 2 Little Gem Trees. Arrival of the same was late but they were in great condition. The packaging was awesome. The soil the trees had was very good soil. I order one 2-3 ft. And one 4-5 ft.
Both trees are thriving and flowers have bloomed so beautifully & fragrantly. Pricing is amazing and does not compare to my local nurseries. Nature Hills's customer service was helpful.
I am thrilled with Nature Hill Nursery and will definitely consider buying from them again.
They were great until i had an issue. Trying to get them to stand by their warranty is absolutely ridiculous. They keep giving me the run around, and were barely responsive. I have been constantly emailing for months and the resolution costs almost as much as the initial purchase. Honestly its not worth the headache. Their prices are pretty high you would think that comes with good customer service. Dont bet on it. And dont rely on that warranty
When I received my plant upon arrival, I noticed immediately that the plant was destroyed. I tried to save it but it died shortly after arriving. I called customer service and they never called me back. I payed 75 dollars for a dead destroyed plant. Do not buy from them.
Until my recent experience I have had good luck with purchases from this seller. However, my last order came partially dead. I let them know this and they suggested that I water it to see if it would revive. I did that but the shrub very quickly died and a had a brown ball. When I reported this I was given some nonsense about zone. In fact, I have a dwarf conifer border and every single other plant in it is thriving. I have sent pictures. Now they are not responding to me at all.
After 21 days with no status update, I wrote to cancel my order...and they had the temerity to want to charge me $10 for cancelling and tried to give me a gift card instead of a partial refund. Obviously, an incompetent organization. Avoid.

I recently bought a white flowering dogwood tree online from Nature Hills. Really had a great experience. I choose the #5 container and received it in about a week. It arrived in great shape, well packaged in a box with all the instructions needed. The size was 4-5 feet as expected, very nice shape and with buds, as late winter/early spring, around Easter, is the flowering season. I could not be more happy. Although the genes will determine how a tree does in life, this is a great start. The leaves are coming out already and the flowers will follow. For sure, I certainly recommend Nature Hills.
I ordered a mimosa tree as a gift for my mother. Unfortunately, after waiting 3 months, it arrived with the top broken off and nearly all the leaves dead at the bottom of the box. I sent photos and called but I couldn't get anywhere with customer service. When I called, they asked me to email more photos but their responses were automated and followed a script. I understand that damage can happen during shipping but this tree isn't worth the $100 I spent on it! This isn't a company you want to do business with!
I purchased a Tropicana hybrid tea rose and wasn't sure what to expect as it was my first time purchasing a plant online. It shipped from Oregon to Kansas and arrived in pristine condition...very well-packaged! I planted the rose bush on September 6th and was just hoping to establish the plant in the ground prior to the fall weather getting colder, but less than a month later the rose bush has almost doubled in size and actually has several rosebuds about to bloom! I'm very happy with my purchase and plan to buy from Nature Hills again in the future!

My tree was exceptionally healthy and carefully packaged when I received it. It is showing immediate growth after planting, I will definitely order from Nature Hills Nursery in the future. Beyond my expectations!
White oak tree was a Mothers Day gift from my 16 year old son. Paid a crazy amount of money for it. He works hard for his money and was so looking forward to them planting it together. Tree arrived half dead with a ton of insect damage. Gave it the benefit of a doubt and planted it. It's been two month and not one leaf has grown. Tree is obviously pretty much dead. Probably not even going to bother with customer service as many reviewers say it's a waste of time. I refuse to pay half for another dead tree. This place is a rip-off! Stay away from them.
I bought 2 trees each for $ 70.00. They were delivered by postal service and were packed reasonably good. How ever these $70.00 trees had no roots and it was simply a branch of tree that were cut from a tree (may be same day as they mailed it to me) and posted to me in a 4"x6" containing. I could not believe how Nature Hill Nursery would ripe off public like this. I will never ever will buy a product from this nursery. The trees did not survive. After a week we had to trash them.

I don't like this nursery. I ordered a plant at about 5 am. By the time they opened (8 am) I had read reviews of NatureHills.com and decided I'd better cancel. I called the minute they opened and they said the order had already been processed so I could take a Gift Card or my money, with ten dollars taken out.
This charge is a very bad business practice. I'll never make the mistake of ordering anything from NatureHills.com again.
We were looking for Bald Cypress Trees and found them on this site. Decided to order after reading many reviews and all the helpful information they offered ( including # sizes of pots) and what that means in terms of size of trees and how thy would appear upon arrival. They were exactly as described, arrived promptly, had detailed and extensive information describing what to do upon arrival and are great looking trees! There was a problem with one of the boxes being beat up a bit and customer service was courteous and helpful as to what we needed to do to insure product was ok. We will definitely order from Nature Hills again. :) Pittsburgh PA
This company does not stand behind their product I bought a $200 granny smith apple tree last fall which did not leaf out this spring in ohio and is a dead stick they have repeatedly ignored my emails even after providing them with pics as they requested do not do business with them
First time I bought tree online and it exceeded my expectation. Tree received in great condition and grow nicely after planting. Follow up with the second buy and and it is still a great experience. Nature Hills does a great job with its packaging and shipping. Looking forward to buy more trees from them.
North Texas has extreme weather. A lot of plants have died in transit on other orders. Texas heat can quickly kill a plant sitting in a truck. We also have occasional cold spells in Autumn. Nature Hills sent healthy plant, no broken branches.
My order for 3 tea olive trees arrived much more quickly than I could have hoped. They are beautiful young trees that were perfectly and creatively packaged to protect them from damage. I can't wait to get them in the ground. Most things grow quickly in Florida, and these trees will make a lovely and fragrant addition to my front yard.
