I started with an independent broker who sent me a quote from Neptune. When he was not returning my call, I went to the website directly. It asked me a few questions, what coverage I wanted et voila! Additionally, the quote was changing as I modified the policy so I could assess whether adding coverage was worth it based on the price (my perceived value of risk). There was some coverage items that were on the website that the broker had not mentioned.
My mortgage company paid my premium, but I kept receiving notices that it wasn't paid, so I paid it, once I confirmed my mortgage company paid it, we called and was promised a refund in two days, it's been over a week now and no refund.

The person was helpful but he really wanted me to book through him rather than complete the quote online. Since I did not want to re-do the exercise, I completed the quote online. I don’t know if he missed out on a commission but if I am calling Customer Svce, I should not end this experience feeling like I cheated someone out of a commission because I chose the better customer experience.
Best value, heard good feedback
I don't NEED flood insurance,so my purchase is really just an exercise in futility! (I have a 6' concrete retaining wall, as well as my dwelling is situated on an elevation). Yet, I was required by lender to purchase a policy. Grateful your price was half that of a competitor.

I do not live in a flood zone, but after seeing all the floods across the country on the news, I figured I better get a flood policy for peace of mind. After receiving the sticker shock from my Allstate plan, I went into panic mode. Luckily with some research I found Neptune and it could not have been an easier choice.

It was easy to navigate through the app. However, after exiting with a save, when I returned, to the app, I wasn't able to continue where I'd left off, and at the payment page, I kept getting an error message. Turns out, by starting over from scratch, everything went in fine, straight through payment.

It's very disappointing to select a policy online and purchase it then be called about discounts that I could have received that was not offered online or offer once the policy was purchased. Discounts should still be added and the representative was short and felt no need to say anything he made it clear I purchased my policy online so there no need for him to say anything else. The way it was said honestly was rude.

Way too many premium due reminders. Didn't advise of options available or offer coverage advice. The whole renewal process is premium payment dunning.
