I have found nz post a very reliable service and very content with the service very good thankyou Aone
I visited the office and sent in my package. They assured me it would take 10 days. It is now 2 months and every time I call to ask, they have a different story.
DON'T USE NZ POST! I sent a necklace which cost $55 to my sister they asked if I wanted to track it for $37, I advised no, they said we cant guarantee delivery. I thought well it the post it should get there.
Well it never arrived! So I called NZ Post, she was SO rude well you've sent an ILLEGAL ITEM Jewellery is illegal and we wont compensate, Apparently I'm suppose to be physic and check their website before I send anything.(why didn't the PO teller tell me that! SO THE MORAL OF THE STORY IF YOU DON'T TRACK & TRACE YOUR ITEM WONT GET To its destination! AND THEY'LL TREAT YOU LIKE THE CRIMINAL! The only criminals are NZ POST! I told her i will NEVER use you again she said I'm happy with that.
My parcel is delivered by NZ POST on wrong address. It's now over a week still waiting for my parcel. Everyday ring them and wait for call back. Use less service recommend to use DHL or anyone else.
I specifically said to leave my package at the front door.
Lucky I was home as the courier just left it by the gate.
No wonder NZ Post is ranked 220th on this site for delivery service.
Never again.

Been waiting on the "over night" courier since last week! Can't get a hold of any one through NZ post just a computerised voice with promts to follow & that does not give any help nor resolve the non delivery issue. Rang the company I had purchased off they tracked it down to a NZ post place given address & phone number & when rung that place was told there was no such parcel so either NZ post has lost my package or a NZ post worker will be having a swell xmas at my expence. DO NOT TRUST NZ POST!

The staff at the East Tamaki, Auckland processing depot are extremely lazy and incompetent. I paid for an item to be tracked within Auckland that actually didn't need postage (it had a freepost sticker attached), and still the package has not be delivered to the recipient after 7 working days. Supposedly delivery is within 2-3 working days, yet it's been 7 days and still the parcel is sitting at their East Tamaki Depot waiting for lazy little Punjab to put the box into his van for delivery. NZ Post Customer service is appalling. I called to enquire as to why my parcel had not yet been delivered, and the lying sod on the other end said he would open up an investigation to find out what was happening, and that he would call me back. It never called back. So I called them and no investigation had been started. So they are not only their staff incompetent and lazy, they're liars too. Save yourself the hassle and pay an extra few dollars to use another courier service. It's worth it especially if you need to send a parcel within a reasonable timeframe. The service you get from NZ Post is atrocious. Stay away from them.
For most of this year if not longer we have not been receiving mail addressed to my husband and myself but other people in our house with a different surname have. We have not received council voting papers, rates, Vehicle registration, mail from my employer and birthday cards. I have contacted the senders who all confirm that the mail has been sent. A family member with the same surname moved overseas and put a redirection for their mail on and has in the past received our rates. Today I contacted NZ Post about this and they looked into it for me and told me that all mail addressed to us is delivered to us. This is clearly not happening and is not an isolated case. We have had to pay penalties for late payment of rates as we haven't received the water and land rates demands. I said to the NZ Post staff member I was dealing with that we haven't received our mail and I would like to know what we are meant to do from here as I accept they don't have it. He told me they deliver everything that is addressed to us. As we were going in circles and he could not help me he wished me a lovely day and hung up on me. I still don't have a solution to my problem and NZ Post haven't acknowledged that there is a problem, which there clearly is. Waste my time calling.
NZ Post recently had issues with their website. Before the issues have been announced, I tried to book a courier and the website displayed an error (along the lines of "try again") then automatically refreshed the page, telling me to try again, and so on, until I figured out that it is actually withdrawing money out of my account every time the page is refreshed, and I closed the browser. At that point I already had multiple transactions "pending" - which I did not authorize.
The "fun" part is that I contacted NZ Post immediately about it, and I was told to "call again in 10 days" for inquiries about the money taken out of my account without authorization. I raised a complaint, explaining that this is basically fraud, and I got a response along the lines of "the credit team will provide an update in the next business days" - end of the week now, the "credit team" provided no update, the money have not been reimbursed, and no further answers from NZ Post.
While a website can indeed be broken, making multiple unauthorized bank transactions from that system then refusing to return the money is absolutely unbelivable!
Told DHL were the courier service, my passport had to be in an A4 prepaid NZ envelop, told 2/3 day express delivery. $107. Paid for the privilege. 9th December now 15th December, since leaving Thames, was at Auckland airport for 24hrs, then Australia, 24hrs. Then Singapore 24hrs then Bahrain 24hrs. Now in Germany. Phoned customer service, who said unusual they would use a domestic flight. My question. So when will it be expected in UK answer. From NZ post person. Oh perhaps Tuesday next week, that will be 20th December. Express delivery Stinks and 8 feel scammed shame on them UK only charge $38 to send my passport back. Someone is making a heap of money out of the likes of me. My confidence in what was once an honest SERVICE looking after us. Its not COVID its $#*!.
Send a parcel overnight and still sitting at deport for two days. Drivers being lazzy not doing what they getting paid for is to deliver the items. Bad service and not reliable.
On June 25 Courier Post lost my parcel again for the third time. The last GPS was scanned in front of McDonald. Yet Courier Driver claimed to have the parcel delivered. That is scary. On that day an Independant Pharmacist came by and she can vouched that there was no courier driver between 2.43pm till 5pm. Yet the courier driver claimed to have delivered at 2.42pm. It was a tea infuser. The driver must be a ghost as we didnt see him coming. That made me and the seller a liar. The case manager was hostile and defensive. She believed in the lies of the courier driver. Courier Post from and to hell.
No empathy. Customer service staff seem to have no training whatsoever in handling customers. They have no clue and when asked to speak to a manager, was told nobody has the time to talk to me as a manager will also tell me the same thing the staff member is telling me. Wow! Simply wow! What a policy. Will never ever be dealing with NZ Post again. I have made two complaints and have received zero response from these guys. I dont know what the staff are trained for or even if these complaints are read by anyone. NZ Post, I hope you read these reviews and understand thag these ratings are not from people who are angry as their parcels got delayed, these reviews are actually for the non-caring, unprofessional and incompetent customer service staff that you have on board your teams. Please re-train them before it's too late. Please read reviews and complaints people are putting on social media about NZ Post and you will realise that these issues are genuine and repetitive. Will definitely keep raising this until I hear back from you guys. Good Luck!
Gosh I wish you could give zero stars, in fact I would rather rate their service in the negatives! Individuals and businesses should not use NZ Post services to send anything. They provide the most appallingly bad service!
Drivers are lazy and cant follow the most simple instructions, they certainly DONT care about you or your precious packages which shows by their lack of ability to follow delivery instructions. You have your packages marked to please put on the front doorstep, you even put instructions in THEIR WEBSITE against the tracking number asking for it to be delivered to the front doorstep, you even put signs on the letterbox advising what they should do (which they rip off and remove and totally ignore) because it seems they know better, that a package that can be damaged by water or is of value is ok to be left sticking out of the mailbox in full view of the street... so safe... so secure... NOT...
NZ Post advertising is a bunch of lies and untruths!
I bet if I needed to claim because their horrific service meant I lost a package they would make it as difficult as possible too. USELESS!
Please NZ Post go out of business... fast...
People use ARAMEX instead, I've had nothing but GOOD experiences with them.
Hi,
I have sent a package on the 28 March 2022 through the post office by air freight and been advised the parcel will be deliver within 10 working days to Israel however until today the 10th May the parcel still does not left NZ, I have phoned the call centre and they still can't estimate when the parcel will be dispatch form NZ... while I pay for the delivery no one in the post office said to me that there is a chance of a delay for weeks and even months and the delivery is on my own risks however instead they say it will take 10 working days to arrived to his destination, when I called the call centre to check when is the package they said I should read the term and condition which is not acceptable since I purchased it from the post office and no one there mentioned that to me otherwise I won't spend so much money for delivery and send products that expired very soon... this really devastated and disappointed me that people in the call centre can't help me and blame me for not reading the term and condition, I trust the employee who work at the post office to give me the right information... My sister in law sent me at the same time a package from Israel and received it within 3 weeks so why to deliver from NZ would be so hard?. I won't recommended to anyone to use the post office freight and will make sure it will be mentioned at any social media proforma.
Thank you.
Tip for consumers:
Never use the post office to send freight overseas!!!!!!!!
Worst customer service. The worst company.
The customer service team are not trained and couldn't care less about the customer.
They clearly lost my parcel, wouldn't admit it and told me to it had been delivered and that i should call the the police if i didn't receive it. That's your advice?! I know for a fact they didn't deliver it and are lying.
They couldn't care less about the customer and getting your delivery to you.
I wish they were held accountable for their poor customer service and lying. It is very clear a lot of people are unhappy with them. I have heard not one person speak good things about them.
There is also no helpful claims or complaints process. They kept saying it's been delivered but can't prove it's been delivered to the CORRECT ADDRESS. When you go to their website the feedback form actually says 'we don't monitor this.' WOW. Not only have they lost my parcel but they will not compensate me for the loss.
The postal companies in NZ should be held to a level of reasonable care and consideration and it is very evident they are very lacking. I wish we had a better option. If there was a way for me not to choose NZ post delivery when i'm ordering online i would do it and i would pay more for that option because i hate dealing with them.
This delivery service is the worst in delivery service history! They had 1 job! And they couldn't even do that properly. Their incompetence is unbelievable.
I am consantly having parcels lost or sent to the wrong address.
Whats so wrong with this courier service provider.
All the parcels that finally arrive due to considerate and honest neighbours are clearly labelled with my address.
They certainly don't care about their clients even when you complain.
Maybe I should sue for the stress caused by this constant diregard on whther parcels are delivered or not.
It's a pity there isn't a negative star rating.

Got my parcel shipped from Vietnam to Auckland. On their tracking system it showed the parcel at the depot, but never be picked up for delivery, and then weeks later it said the parcel was returned back to Vietnam.
I contacted and their customer service kept telling lies which they couldn't prove to be true, but don't want to admit that they never shipped the parcel but immediately sent it back.
First they said they attempted to deliver but couldn't contact me. When I told I couldn't see any update on their system, and no note was left in our mailbox, and asked what day did they attempt to deliver, they couldn't answer that but said the information was gone on their system.
Another follow-up then they said the address written on our parcel was wrong. My family in Vietnam checked and 100% that the address is correct.
I tried to reach out to Citizens Advice Bureau and they tried to talk to NZ post but it kept going on the same way. They failed to prove that they did right things but refused to admit they did it wrong and didn't want to compensate. CAB adviced that I would need to bring this matter to the court if I don't want to give up, and I definitely will do. NZ post isn't delivering the service as they agree, so the laws have to help consumers teach them a lesson
Tip for consumers:
Avoid them at all cost
New Zealand Post is special, espically bad. Most parcels I get from the North shore (the likes of Albany or Rosedale) I'm the past two years have taken the whole bloody week, I could drive and ferry faster between the two places.
Mighty ape parcels as well as paralell imported takes whole week or even two for this reason. If I wait a week for one more package I'm making a formal complaint because this is flat out bad.
ARAMEX for a long time have had a bad reputation but even they are faster than Courierpost, when my Amazon packages arrive in Auckland they are normally delivered the next day. Looks like Aramex have cleaned up their act.
Other packages from Auckland and other towns and cities take about three days for overnight, overnight is a scam. Once I paid $15 shipping for an overnight parcel and Saturday from Auckland that took two weeks.
I have too many samples of $#*! service from these plonkers. From courier being snail Mail, lost packages and couriers dumping high value parcels at the door without a signature even when I asked for it.
Don't waste your time with these plonked s choose NZ Couriers and Post Haste who actually do it overnight almost always,
Paid for express international service. $! To US. Expected delivery time "Express 3 - 9 working days" That info is from NZ post site. I will let the tracking show the problem. 19 days later as of today.(19/10/22)

So 19 days and it's still in the air somewhere! I don't believe it's due to Covid because we are 2 years in and they will have managed expectations by getting accurate info on their website by now surely?
The package is time sensitive and I did mention this at the postal service office and was assured this service would meet the requirements. It has not so $ down the $80 down the toilet and a further $300 is needed to repeat the exercise.
A customer service rep was rude, abrupt and unhelpful and unnecessarily placed me on hold twice for long periods of time.
The lady on the phone was so rude she hung up on me while I was questions about my missing parcel. Why do you even hire people like HER
November 2020, the parcel is in the depot in Wellington within 3 km from delivery address, not delivered for 10 days.
I have been waiting 5 WEEKS for a small package from Germany. I have called and been in to the Anglesea Street office and I swear they are just deliberately unhelpful. They can't tell you ANYTHING, the answer to any question is I don't know, they pretend that because there is no tracking number they can't possibly look it up in their system using, oh idk, name and address? They won't even admit that at this point they've probably lost it/delivered it to the wrong place and tell me to just 'be patient'. Are you KIDDING ME? It's been 5 WEEKS! How much more patient do you expect me to be? Then to top it off they send self serving 'tracked letters' to supposedly track their performance which is a JOKE because OF COURSE the useless $#*!s do it right when they know they're being assessed on that 1 clearly marked item! And then they use the results of that to claim great speed etc instead of looking at their actual reviews and using them to IMPROVE like they should considering they don't have a single positive review on any site anywhere
I didn't know what I was doing (first time sending a parcel) and I feel like they fooled me instead of guiding me. Bad bad experience.
Delays is the ‘norm' for NZ post. One should consider themselves lucky if they receive anything on time. Very disappointed.
