The overall reputation of OfferUp is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and account management issues. Users frequently report abrupt account deactivations without clear explanations, along with challenges in resolving disputes and obtaining refunds. Additionally, many customers express frustration with the app's glitches and the prevalence of fraudulent listings. While some users have had positive experiences with transactions, these are overshadowed by the negative sentiments surrounding the platform's reliability and support. The need for improved communication and user-friendly processes is evident to enhance overall customer experience.

I find it impossible to use this site due to the annoying Cloudflare check that pops up every time I try to look for an item. This just started and I cannot find how to make it stop
When you try to report it they block you. But it is not safe at all to buy in offer up. Do not buy anything from offer up there are a lot of scammers not a safe place to buy. Becareful
When you sign up they let you post a lot, specially cars. As soon as you get used to doing so, they start limiting your postings to force you pay for it. Medieval and grotesque tactic. Disgusting, truly nasty customer service. I hope some competition comes along soon and bury these idiots. STAY AWAY!
People say yes, they want the product you are selling then do not show or even send message they pass. I wasn't raised like this. They also want stuff so cheap that I would rather donate my stuff!
I got scammed on Offerup by a man selling a washer and dryer. I asked in the message if the machines were working properly with no problems and I was told yes. When it didn't work the man said that he would replace it or give me my money back. He did not and ignored me from there. I filed a complaint with Offerup and they sent me a few generic emails that were no help. I can't sue because Offerup won't take action or give me his information so I can. They keep saying they will do something on their end that I won't see. I can't even write a review on the man because he didn't mark the items as sold. I also asked Offerup how I can rate him to warn other people and no response. Basically Offerup protects the scammers! Rating is a 0.
So I was on offer up saw A guitar and made an offer, I apparently was to low because the seller reported me for offering fair market value and my account was disabled without warning, everytime I logged in I have to verify myself. It's just not worth the hassle, this app sucks soooooo bad, you get disabled just because a seller doesn't like your offer? Just Wow! AVOID AT ALL COSTS, sure there's deals but if you get blocked for making an offer what's the point anyway?
Over half the time the sellers never respond to you when you ask about their items. When you are the seller and pay the offerup fee to have your item promoted, offerup bombards you with fake buyers asking if it's available but then never replying when you try to reach out to them. The entire process is extremely sketchy because the site is run so poorly. Such a shame because this site would be an incredible way to buy and sell things if it was operated a lot better.
Their auto-robot blocks you because it considers it "harassment" if you want to let a person know that their not marking their item sold wasted 45 minutes of your time as you researched an item that actually wasn't available. (Yeah, in any other century of human existence, that was called "holding someone accountable for their actions, or the lack thereof." But today, it's considered morally wrong to gently remind someone of good respectful online selling behavior that they are violating. Not to mention that God forbid a person should actually hold someone else morally accountable for their actions...) But then after the Offerup auto-robot blocks that message, it blocks any and every other message you want to send to any seller. Then there is no contact info or email to contact their customer support to get your account unblocked. Totally not worth the hassle. Use a different selling platform, folks. We don't need another big brother enforcing the extreme dysfunctionality of political correctness. Leave that to Facebook and Twitter.
I have purchased two ps5s from this site and both I paid and both not delivered. I went back to make a claim and offers are deleted and company let's them disappear. I hate this such a scam and no human contacts.
Offerup.com has one major problem in my opinion. This is the second time I have encountered this problem and it is just soooo frustrating. You research a product, look on various sites to get an idea of what the product is worth, finally decide to buy it on offerup. You pay for the item and offerup lets you know that they have sent a shipping label to the seller and has told them to ship as soon as possible. After a week, no notification that the seller has shipped your order. So you write the seller. No response. You notice that the item you purchased is still being sold on the seller's site. You write the seller, "Hey have you shipped my item and why is it still for sale on your site". No response. In the meantime you lost out on opportunities to buy the product on other sites. The last time this happened I was looking for a leather desk chair. I asked the seller if it was still available. No response. I really wanted this particular chair and was so happy that I finally found it. Kept writing the seller, no response. Finally I was able to obtain his phone number and I called him. He told me he sold the chair 3 months ago. I wasted about a month on this guy. I have a feeling I am in the same position with the seller I am currently dealing with. In my mind, I bought the item, no need to continue to look for it. My guess is the seller hasn't looked at his offerup account in a year. No need to respond to me as he probably sold it 6 months ago.
Offerup has to have the ability to mark an item as sold so that buyers are not put in this position. As soon as offerup sends that shipping label to the seller, the item HAS BEEN SOLD., and offerup should marked it as sold.
There is no incentive for a seller to keep his offerup account up to date once an item is sold or to ever look at it if he hasn't sold something in the last year. There is no phone number that I can call for help at offerup. No Offerup email for me to complain to so that offerup can find out if the seller is still active on their site. Just a HORROR SHOW.
I tried to post a Word document showing the email proof of purchase but your system would not allow only allow jpeg, gif etc.
Every single paid advertisement that you see on OfferUp is a scam website. It's almost always a website name that's not even a word. For example buswaj.com or ttaino.com.
These pieces of sh*t offer insane prices on items that look very nice. You will NEVER receive that item or any item from these people. They will NEVER respond to you and your money will be lost. One way to easily check these scam sites is by looking at their contact info. It always nonsense. Never a real address or phone I bet or even a business email. Try clicking on the social media links at the bottom of the website. They will not work. I am aware that everyone already knows this. I would like to hear a response from OfferUp as to why they continue to advertise scams. They have all these tips for avoiding scam listings and then the openly advertise for scam websites.
I was kicked off after making purchase on a ps4 for no reason. Within minutes. They took my money then sent me and email saying they were looking into the purchase. I only selected what was available to me. I sent question to seller asking if still available. Then made purchase right away at the price set by seller. Worst experience ever. It made me feel like I was doing something wrong. They refunded the money and have never given me a reason. That was my first and last time I will ever try this app again. The worst!
Offer Up Does a poor Job of Looking out for people who are honestly attempting to sale Things, They Let folks manipulate The sellers and then They will prevent sellers for responding To Provocative People that's only out to harasse the sellers
I have been selling on different platforms for a few months now with some success. I decided to branch out and give Offerup a try. After going through all the steps to validate myself and my honesty I noticed that I was unable to list any of my products through my computer. It seemed to be a bit of an inconvenience but I thought I could work around it. After making a listing through my phone I began to search for my ad. I changed the setting to show me items within a 5 mile radius. Even though I live in SC I kept getting results from Texas? No matter what adjustments I would make the same ads kept showing up telling me that these are NOT organic results. Don't waste your time with this app.
This man in valley springs is for one a bigot he won't give his barbed wire to a woman and he refuses to give the address where he is. He tells me I have to have a truck and to hurry up and get the stuff right now or I won't be able to get it hey hayseed it's 2021 this American woman can think work drive and negotiate circles around your bulls Mack! Offer up is a scam for $#*!s to jerk good hard working women around! To azul shove your garbage where the sun doesn't shine woman can and do earn more than you and work harder for it
They canceled an order as it was being shipped out to buyer and now the buyer has had the product more than 48 hours and i have yet to receive and kind of notice of payment because the order was canceled out by them... I cant get back in contact after sending multiple emails to there only for of contact with them you would think a company as big as them would have better customer service and at least a number to contact them on... I will never sell another Item through them ever again
In my Area Offerup Mobile App inflitrated by Applance Liquidation 2 Prophile and its 30 plus connected prophiles that are posting night and day duplicate posts. Take up 50-75% of my local feed. They all have same writeup see below. Edit pics a but. I spent
2 weeks trying to report without any change. They are only getting free advertising. When you go to this hole in the wall place (bc they will my msg you) items and prices no longer available. Also there has been a dramatic increase in brand new prophiles that ask if freshly posted items are available then msg you for your phone number. I've reported more than 10 of these is past week with only one being deactivated. Is Offerup staff of COVID Vacation? I'm getting very tired of this app which I once loved above the rest to buy and sell items on.
Here is what the appliance ads all say in English and Spanish

Anyone else annoyed by this?
Offer up is a disgusting app. I used and loved letgo. I cannot stand OfferUp. Not even close as trustworthy as letgo was. Old ads. Waaaaay more scammers. Horrible design and just plain awful. Used letgo for over two years to buy and sell without hassle. Had offer up for 3 days and deleting.
Is every person on offer up a liar, disgrace of human being, waste time no regard for keeping their word, low ball offers, and dont meet up when they say they do, cant read, some of the dumbest most disrespectful scumbags on earth or its just fort lauderdale and miami trash?
I wouldn't trust this site only trust this site if you sell to someone you can get the money from right away otherwise your screwed and the sites not going to help you. I'm out 90 dollars from shipping an item out of state that they paid for shipping and receiving but I never got paid, and no help from anyone.
Answer: No limit to how many items you can post. To delete the post. Just click on offers. Them there will be a mark as sold button, edit button, then next to that is a button with 3 dots. Click that. Then click archive. Done. No affiliation
