I hate that offer up partnered with Let Go. I loved let go. Offer up. Still have seller items that have been listed a year ago. Its the worst. Never had any issues with Let go. But offer up is built for scams. I haven't met a honest person yet. I never liked Offer up. But I said let me try it since it partnered up with Let go. I DO NOT LIKE OFFER UP
OfferUp is not better. I had better results using Letgo and had better product filtering and regional searches. Facebook is a better marketplace.
DO NOT sell on offer up unless you are getting cash in hand. There is ZERO seller protection. I sold my camera to someone on a Friday and was told I had three business days to ship it. Business days are Monday - Friday meaning I had until Wednesday to ship it, which I did. OfferUp cancelled my payment and still let the camera ship because they said I only had 3 days, even though the email stated 3 business days which is different. OfferUp never sent me the money and when I contacted them they said I had to contact the buyer. When I contacted the buyer he was aggressive for no reason, confirmed he received the camera, and said he wasn't going to send me the money. I have no way now to get back my money or my camera. Complete scam!
So, I would beware when looking for something that looks like too good a deal to be true. I was looking for a used car a little while back. I came across a listing for a great price. Guy said he was selling the car for his mom and gave "her" email. I contacted it and got the response "we are selling it because our only son died in a bike accident 4 months ago... the son i just talked to?! Found another listing with an only son who died 2 months earlier in a bike accident... clearly both scams.
There is nothing but scam artists when you put something up there. They took over let go and just run off her up into the ground. Can't get in contact with anybody. Merged but all the reviews I had lost. Very upsetting
When I tell you I have never seen an app as bad as this for buying and selling. Why they combined with letgo I couldn't tell you, it was much better as two seperate apps. I emailed them to ask a question since thats the only way to contact them, yep you heard that right NO PHONE NUMBER & NO LIVE CHAT. Insanity. Anyways they never answered my question but they did ban my account even though I did not post a single thing! Terrible way to sell things, if you want to sell items FB Marketplace and Mercari are the places to do it.
After 4 years and 168 5 star reviews they just deactivated my account. No one tells me why. No one answers my emails. It is sickening, as I am out of work and dependent on any income I can make. STAY AWAY. How do you kick someone for NO REASON? NEVER had an issue with a customer at all. SO frustrating
DONOT use this site I paid 220 for an iPhone and never received my shipping label when I tried to contact the seller the account was deleted alone with the messages can't get anyone from offer up to file a complaint and get my money back later saw the same add with the same pictures under a different name if you want to buy and sell please use eBay I will never use this site again if I didn't have to give it one star I wouldn't scammers buyer beware
95 percent of the people on the app are out to scam you for your information. I have reported several people. As, there are too many to report. But, they haven't responded or done as anything about it. The persons trying to scam you still have there post up.

I got my account and my computer banned because I reported the scammers TOO much. Free macbook shippng scam. Any idiot even an offer up moderator could see the silly scam meant to fool dumb buyers into sending $35 to the scammer via pay app outside of offer up.the only way you can get back on offer up is to get a new PC. Offer up has a way of putting a virus deep in your PC to block it from making a new account.
Cleaning the PC and changing IP no luck. Offer up buries some nasties deep in the PC. OK i get a new PC well I get many used PC make a bunch of accounts and create havoc on that site now. Getting even is more fun than being a good guy trying to help offer up...
Terrible customer service. Cant resolve simple issue no phone number or live agent. Even technical support is worst.if theres negative star I will give it to them sucks
Offer up needs to take responsibility for allowing fake ads to be generated selling new cars for $550.00 for example and so forth. If they are will to charge you for a service and profit from the website in the last few days there are more fake ads than real ones. WHY NOT FIGURE OUT OR PAY A HUMAN TO TAKE 1/2 A SECOND TO LOOK AT THE TITLE PAGE TO SEE IF IT MAKES SENSE. I was only on Offerup for a short time but found that most of the ads I visited were scams. I recommend everyone to stay away from this website.
I found 1 to 2 years ago ad and nobody replies me. Even recent ad most of sellers never replies me. Offerup stuff never replies me too. Like I'm a ghost. Nobody can see me. Craigslist is the best choice.
Offerup is becoming like craigslist. People are rude, swear at you if they do not like your price, no shows, you can report them but offerup does not doing much about it like they did when they first started. Lots of scams and when you report them, they do not remove them, it takes them days and too late for all those taken. Sorry OfferUp, but you are going downhill and people are starting not to use you anymore.
Since the merger of Letgo which I used many times the amount of scams and false ads is F'N ridiculous. Don't have time to play around when shopping for items. I will no longer be a customer on this site gone to crap. Back to Craigslist and marketplace
I have been on Offer- Up for 3 yrs and No problem Till they merge with " LetGo and I start have problems with my account and I email them and they till me my account is deleted for inappropriate language, I ask them what language. The last conversation I had was the customer asked me if they purchased more than one could I possibly shipped them together and I say we would problems have go up to next shipped rate and anything over that I will pay difference, so I guess that the language they talked about... They never would explain... So I post some of my stuff on my friends page and they deleted his page also. Offer up is a piece of crap I will never used offer up again after all that $$$ I have made them. If you want good site go to " Mercari" best site out there..
Their notification schema must be the worst on the planet. I can NEVER get anyone to respond to messages (or offers for that matter) even as a verified user. Items also seem to be left up for months and months indicating that there are too many sellers that abandon their listings. This fails miserably as a competitor to Craigslist given OU's lack of contact, flagging and listing time limits. I've no use for OfferUp.
I made 2 item purchases within 24 hours and BOTH ARE scammers! This site is TERRIBLE! Do NOT use this site! They will NOT help stop scammers either. OFFERUP has made Letgo a lying, thieving site. I've been ghosted completely and lost over $300 and OFFERUP does NOTHING to stop them or help consumers! I've included a photo of the "Report User" response they have
