OfferUp has a rating of 1.4 stars from 863 reviews, indicating that most customers are generally dissatisfied with their purchases. Reviewers complaining about OfferUp most frequently mention customer service, phone number, and credit card problems. OfferUp ranks 753rd among Marketplace sites.
I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad but as for me as a new user it is completely awesome a few flaws easy fixes but it is a site that gets your goods out there an legitimate buyers that responded an showed up not like letgo where in my experience they play games I am very impressed with the site and will tell everyone i no how my experience has been with the site
After many months of purchases and sales, and only perfect five star reviews, Offer-Up sent a notice that my account was being immediately and permanently deactivated for "breaking guidelines or community standards." No further explanation and no reply to my further inquiries and appeals except that the site reserves the right to permanently terminate accounts without warning if someone "breaks guidelines or community standards." Absolutely no idea what I did and they will not tell me. Lost a lot of time and effort and transactions in progress. Heed everyone's warnings: DO NOT USE THIS SITE.
I've used offerup for 3 years without issue then the other day I posted my firestick for sale. First they removed my ad and sent an email that I violated their policy. They didn't say what policy, so I messaged them back that I didn't think I had violated a policy since there are numerous streaming devices on the site. 10 minutes later they closed my account. Wtf, talk about an abusive site, don't reply what if any violation was committed, just close the account for questioning. Horrible service. Unfortunately some businesses become this way when they get to big. I don't think I will return to them in the future. Horrible business practice.
Tip for consumers:
Find another site, shut them down

My final few experiences with "Offer Up Buyers:"
"Buyer" renigged after purchase agreement.
"Buyers" offered 25% of asking price.
It gets much worse...
"Buyers" (3) do not show up at agreed upon purchase locations.
"Buyers" are too often children sending sellers on wild goose changes or scam artists not showing up at agreed upon locations to eventually get your home address or suggesting meering at desolate locations.
Complaints to Offer Up produce boiler plate responses.
Avoid this site in the best interests of your security!
There are more scam ads then real ads. I have asked OfferUp why they let the obvious scammers to keep posting but no response from OfferUp and of course they do not delete any of the scam ads. I am so tired of people saying I can't respond through OfferUp you must use my gmail. OfferUp promotes scamming.
Pretty crappy move letgo is now part of the lower than average market place for selling and buying. If your a letgo user everything is lost and now part of the crappy website called offer up save your time and aggravation and skipping this site. I've switched to Facebook market place better more reputable than this crap. Going to miss letgo
Sellers will cancel orders because they receive higher offers after the sale! They allow sellers to treat buyer how ever they want because a review can only be made after a sale. I have traveled hours to meet sellers, only to be stood up! And you cant do anything about it! Don't waste your time! Offer up is a POS!
Hello, if you shipped something and still haven't get paid, let me know. Imma file a LAWSUIT against offerup, Maybe all together can do something about it. These may take a little long because people don't want to take their time to stop this CRIME. Hit me up. Thank you
After being scammed on offer up and offer up doing nothing to keep from scammers from using it. I am genuinely convinced the scammers created Offer Up just to scam people. I report about 5 postings a day and the post never goes down. It's clearly a scam, so if something is brand new $750 including tax and used prices are roughly 500-550 via marketplace and eBay, and offer up has it for 290-350, it's too good to be true and definitely a scam. Don't fall for the "I have to go into work early so I can just ship it, take a picture of the confirmation receipt. And then buyer send the money after I ship because "I trust you". Giving fake obvious shipping receipts. Something that weights 40 lbs, should cost at least $75-100, it only cost $25 for shipping red flag. They didn't want to meet, red flag. They post in a large city, but live 200 miles away lol comn blatant scams and OfferUp does nothing about it. Don't use it.
Tip for consumers:
Don’t use it. Buy via ebay or marketplace. Even market place be careful. Meet at police stations, if they won’t meet you at a police station, run the other way. Such a big red flag
I am very "scam conscience" but I did purchase something thru offerup that was too good to be true. Long story short... I got scammed. I knew it very early on so I contacted offer up but they gave me zero assistance. Calling the cops is their only advice. I deleted the app and suggest you to do the same. Merry Christmas yall.
Fist they sell your information. Now they it looks like they have been compromised and your data is on the dark web.
Of course they will wait 3 months before any official announcements. Stay away and do not give them any of your information
I used to use this ap when it was LetGo and it was good. But This is pretty bad. I uploaded my ad and it did not show up on the site. Their tech "support" is only available by email and it takes a day for them to help you. They emailed me back that the issue was resolved. But it wasn't. The thumbnail for the ad is there but you get an error message when you try to open it and they have yet to solve that issue. They emailed me generic advice about restarting my phone, completely ignoring the fact that I TOLD them I could see other people's ads. Just not my own. I guess I'll have to go with eBay or have a garage sale.

It's an ap for selling things.
I was using this app for quite sometimes untill they start removing my postings due to having inappropriate content which I could never find out what was that about. I had 5star reviews on my account which was rated by more than 20 customers. I tried to contact them and after sending bunch of emails all I got in respond was one short email which said I won't be able to use this app using my account and won't be able to open up another one! Without any info on how my posting were inappropriate. I don't know who is behind this app but they clearly have worst customer service.
I bought a faucet from Pop's Shop through OfferUp. When it arrived it was nothing like what I was expecting. It was huge and not even close to fitting my bathroom sink. I tried to contact Pop's by email with no success and was unable to find a phone number. I tried to contact OfferUp for assistance. All I wanted from them was a phone number. I didn't have a phone number for them either so we exchanged emails for days. They insisted I had not acted in a timely manner and it was too late for them to do anything. This WAS NOT TRUE. I even provided my emails to them showing the dates and they were sent during the very short time allowed for refunds, but they kept saying I was too late. They refused to help resolve the problem and now I am stuck with a faucet I will never be able to use. This company obviously is shady at best and apparently so are the companies they choose to do business with. Run - don't walk - as fast as you can from these con artists.
Tip for consumers:
Both businesses appear to be less than honest or willing to stand behind their product. OfferUp in particular should be investigated by their State’s Attorney Generals Office and put out of business.

In all the years i advertised my personal property for sale i have never sold 1 item off that app. Then i noticed there were ads from feebay, jacks small engines, walmart ect, on there. Feebay has their own selling site that charges outrages fees which offer up does not, which is why i dropped feebay to sell on offer up. Then walmart and jacks small engines have their own selling sites. So trying to get a message to the people running offer up, which there is no contact us link, to inquire about it, i had to post a ad titled why are those other seller sites allowed to advertise on offerup with a old pair of shoes as thew picture and 15 minutes later my account was shut off, and not allowed to even open and delete my items. I will never recommend anyone use that app period.
I am ashamed to say I have been scammed more than once on offer up. Each time I contacted OfferUp to no avail. Most of the time they do not even bother with a reply. I am currently attempting to change my email address to no avail of course. I do exactly as it states and it does not work. I cannot find anywhere a phone number to contact someone at offer up nor can I find an email address or contact info of any kind that actually works and gets to a human being. Customer service is so important in this day and age and offer up just does not cut it in anyway shape or form. Offer up does not care about its users at all.
Offerup should be delete. Those people are really stupid. The customer service is the worst they never respond back to any messages people send. A customer send me a broken item i report it to offerup customer service its been 3 months still no response from them. I hate this app dont get it poeple.

This is serious, do not use Offer Up. Be careful who you think you are buying from. I recently got scammed by a seller by the name of Josh. Do not buy anything from him. He will ask you to pay through Apple pay or cash app so that you won't get your money back. Let scamming end!
I would give this app 0 out of 5 stars if I could.
I purchased a baby swing that was listed as good condition. It was mailed much later than it was supposed to be and it was missing the seat, so couldn't be used. The seller messaged abusive messages through the ap. OfferUp charged me and didn't respond to my complaint. I won't trust this app again.
Logging on to account is next to impossible. I had to create a new password every time. Then, this morning I tried to log on and they had deleted my account for some "violation". I emailed to ask what violation: attempting to log on? Selling a table? In just received some rote answer. Absolutely useless site.
1. OfferUp sells your data. I started receiving lots of scam calls after giving them my phone number for "verification". 2. OfferUp deleted DOZENS of listings that took the better part of 2 days to complete. They had a 'glitch' and made me lose out on hundreds of dollars in sales that I desperately needed during the COVID lockdown. 3. On top of that dozens of their listings on the home page are old. 4. And when you search for something you get out of area products. For instance, I needed a saw, I live in Florida, why am I getting ads for Washington and California! Do NOT waste your time on this app.
Don't buy anything from these guys it's a total scam you will be ripped off of your money and there's nothing true of value to distinguish the amount of quality and integrity of life these days these people will rip you off and they're using sites like this to rip you off so don't buy anything from this site
Offer up is a total scam! Do not use this app! Scam artists regurgitating the same BS! Who uses a company to pick up their stuff and not even look at the stuff first if they like it total scam artist!
Offerup is becoming like craigslist. People are rude, swear at you if they do not like your price, no shows, you can report them but offerup does not doing much about it like they did when they first started. Lots of scams and when you report them, they do not remove them, it takes them days and too late for all those taken. Sorry OfferUp, but you are going downhill and people are starting not to use you anymore.
OfferUp apparently doesn't let you post ads from your computer, only your phone, yet you can browse ads from your laptop - WHY!? I'm not sure why any company would cut themselves off from a significant revenue stream like this but that's their problem. My problem is that I resent being forced to use my phone to execute things like this. I don't want this stuff on my phone.
The only thing is some sellers they tend to forget they are selling used item once an item is not in it's original box it's used. They want to hold on to the item I understand they might have paid good money for some stuff but once you used it it's no longer new and it's not worth close to the price you bought it from the store. So I see some people complaining about not selling well y'all need to let go of the stuff. For those who are moving and selling their stuff either you'd have to trash it or give it away. You have the opportunity to sell it don't think you're gonna get close to the money you bought the item as new.
At first this was a great neighborhood resource for selling but has been taken over by autos bought from from auctions, multiple same listings- just beware that a lot of these items are technically not owners. Multiple listingReported 3 times about the same tires listed 100 times- yes 100 times but still not taken off?! Just a hint before you buy. Look at what that individual has sold or is trying to sell. Is they 50 cars sold or listed they are really a dealer who buys unwanted vehicles from actions. Yikes!
OfferUp is revolutionizing how we sell by making it a snap! Instantly connect with buyers and sellers near you.
