The overall reputation of OfferUp is marred by significant customer dissatisfaction, primarily stemming from poor customer service and account management issues. Users frequently report abrupt account deactivations without clear explanations, along with challenges in resolving disputes and obtaining refunds. Additionally, many customers express frustration with the app's glitches and the prevalence of fraudulent listings. While some users have had positive experiences with transactions, these are overshadowed by the negative sentiments surrounding the platform's reliability and support. The need for improved communication and user-friendly processes is evident to enhance overall customer experience.

Omg I wish I knew your website... there customer service sucks. I bought a gaming system and I have yet to get all the pieces... offer up gives u 2 days only to review the seller
If you have a problem which is most likely to happen there's no one you can talk to. I ordered item seller never responded gave tracking but was not shipped OfferUp said they would cancel in 2 or 3 days been 5 days payment still pending no item shipped no contact for offerup had to cancel through my card, also seller (fraud) can still claim payment and again no contact from offerup saying that they canceled order. Done with offerup wish I wouldn't used my card.
I found a Cinema Camera for sale on offer up by someone named "Roc" To make a long story short. I paid for the camera outside of the OU platform (shame on me), but after I paid my $1,100 for the camera through Zelle, the seller whos screen name is now "Crunch" went AWOL. To add insult to injury, he is still selling from his page and Offer Up will not even flag the account. All I want is my camera or my money back. This is a scam site at its best.
I've attempted to purchase several things on this site the latest one being a boat from an alleged seller 30 miles from me allegedly in Tampa. The item had many pictures, was priced average. I messaged the person many times with each text showing he read them. Not one response back. No replies nothing. I even made an offer of his asking price with no response. The ad was only a few days old. This has happened a dozen times or more by alleged sellers when attempting to inquire or purchase, no respnse. The site does not remove items that have been sold. They do not block reported scammers. It's ridiculous. Do yourself a favor and don't bother using the site. Letgo has been much better.
For every item I've posted I'll get 10 messages about people "for sure wanting" item but not a single person shows up. Not to mention the grammar and type of messages being of such poor quality. This app is a waste of your time and effort!
I post some articles for sale, dirt cheap prices. People spend my time asking 1 million questions, they set up a time to pick up the item and they are a no show. This happens 90% of the time. It makes me very angry because you can only review people if they buy something. If I could review those people that stood me up they wouldn't be 5 star buyers anymore. So if any of you reading this, don't show after you set up an appointment, you don't call to cancel said appointment, it's you who make this site suck!
I sold an expensive puffer coat 225.00 retail with tags attached and the buyer said I sent a different item. Offer up granted BRIAN LOWKS profile name (Richie BARRAGON
PO Box 12 National City, CA ******* on shipping label) a refund and this jerk sent me an old vest in the mail and now I'm out of my money and I have no coat to sell! I didn't think Offer up would allow a refund but the buyer is the ONLY ONE WITH PROTECTION. I will NEVER SHIP ANOTHER ITEM ON THIS TRASHY WEBSITE! SELLERS BEWARE OF SHIPPING CAUSE YOU HAVE ZERO PROTECTION FROM ANY FRAUD LIKE I ENCOUNTERED. All I got was an automated email stating that someone will reach out to me but that was days ago.
I had listed numerous items (tools) for sale and all went well. Then I lost my phone, got a new one ith the SAME NUMBER and none of my listings appeared even though all my log9n nfo was correct. For months I contacted offerup and got no response then asked to provide additional info which I did... After months of this crap reponses what was their final response?: My account has been terminated because of 'Policy Violations"?!
Unfortunately this site is not cutting the mustard at all, from the prohibition of selling pets and also to include agricultural animals this site is useless and a waste of time you have too many hagglers on this site which at the end is just a waste of your time and they buy absolutely nothing, many can't even speak english and obviously very young as they expect sellers to sell them items that are ridiculously low even after you stated in the ad that price is firm, non negotiable etc. I had one haggler offer me $100 for 4 maserati rims to include tires you can't even buy the tire valves for that price and drive down to Dade because he had no transportation, buying tires, rims and you have no transportation? Bunch of losers if you ask me.
This app is garbage.
In this app there are many shady sellers.
FOR EXEMPLE. JASON LAWRENCE HAS.
He steal me
This app is garbage. No consequences for shady sellers who cancel orders on you without any explanation. Stay far far away.
OfferUp kicked me off of my account and refused to tell me why. They are costing me money because that platform is where I did get most of my business. This should not be allowed. It's discrimination and I want to sue them for it. There has got to be a lawyer willing to take this case. Merge it with others. Something. This isn't right
If you wanna put in time and energy to build up an account and then get blocked and removed for no reason and never again get the chance to have your account back, OFFERUP is your platform to waste your time. They are a bunch of money grabbing people who would eat about 13% of every single sale you do on their platform. After you striving so much to collect positive reviews, the moment they feel you have put your trust in them and rely on the money you make on their website, they will disable your account under the pretext that you "have another active account" of "have violated" their rules. And will never provide any document proving your violation! Bulllsh*****t. It's beyond horrible to waste your time using offerup!
Please be aware of vehicle purchasing. I was in the market for a vehicle and thought I would go on OfferUp to find something affordable with no payments. I messaged the seller and I receive a email telling me they're selling the vehicle for someone else to contact them and I did. I get a email from that person saying they travel a lot and you have to send the money through eBay with no test drive. I told them the ad states it's in a city that I'm near why can't I go look at it and they kept coming up with so many excuses. Also they changed their name 2 times and also deleted their profile pic after I called them out for scamming and they never responded back. I also reported this to OfferUp and they still have the vehicle up for sale. I sent them the emails and everything. The price was to good to be true anyways so that's another way you can tell it's a scam.
Purchased an item from Matter of Facts with my CC. It was marked as sold with total and shipping. After 4 days no communication no tracking- NOTHING onthe 5th day the transaction was cancelled. I cant call it a scam as others have because i got my money back. This was my first and last time using Offerup and especially Matter of Facts.
I'm not sure why the reviews are so bad but as for me as a new user it is completely awesome a few flaws easy fixes but it is a site that gets your goods out there an legitimate buyers that responded an showed up not like letgo where in my experience they play games I am very impressed with the site and will tell everyone i no how my experience has been with the site
Filed dispute w/ my bank offerup said I had to lift the dispute to get my $ now they closed the case
My account got deactivated and I never got payed for the items I shipped out and sold. It was around 300$. They didn't even email me the reason of why. But let me tell you that I did not do anything wrong lol. They're a bunch of thieves.
No answer, no communication, no customer service, no phone numbers. Absolute garbage. Dint waste your time waiting to hear back from a offer you sent because it is either 4 months old or never been updated as sold. $#*! a easy answer would be to mark anything after 7 days sold so others don't waste time to hear back. I can't believe I'm saying this but both Craigslist and FB marketplace are far better options for buying used items or items with the opportunity to negotiate price. Kick rocks offer up.
This is the worst site to sell items. Too many buyers wanting to low ball items or want to swap items, when the ad said price is firm.
Its a waste of time to use.
Answer: No limit to how many items you can post. To delete the post. Just click on offers. Them there will be a mark as sold button, edit button, then next to that is a button with 3 dots. Click that. Then click archive. Done. No affiliation
