I cannot express enough about how awful it is to have any kind of dealings with an agency that allows its "officers" (which is more of a title than any of them deserve!) to operate unlawfully and commit color of law violations. You can read their policies and think they serve a purpose. But non of them follow them and the department doesn't do anything to enforce them. It is so crazy how they are allowed be so corrupt and somehow still operate as a law enforcement agency. Don't get me wrong, I am all for having positive law enforcement in our communities. I cannot stand that all they care about is revenue. They will violate every single one of your rights without any kind of adhearance to the sworn oath they took just to take you to jail and charge you with whatever they want. They never give you the citation, they don't tell you your charges, and they most definitely never obtain a judge's signature for a search warrant. I watched them copy and paste the court's electronic stamp using it as authorization to search whatever they want. Another fact with that, they only do that after they have already searched and destroyed all of your protected personal items.
