I've ordered with Okra and Molly twice for my pups birthday and each delivery has been wonderful. The designs are so cute. I love the additional party items and favors you can add to your order. Most importantly, my dog has LOVED his cakes.
The cake I got for my pup arrived on time, and it looked great! My pup really enjoyed it as well, but a day later and the poor thing is miserable. My pup doesn't usually have a sensitive stomach and has had cakes/treats from other bakeries without any issues. I'm not sure why this cake hasn't sat right with her stomach, but this wasn't the way I expected to rein in her 3rd birthday. Beware when feeding their cakes to your pups!
Last year the cake seemed to be a little bit more moist than the one received this year. My dog didn't seem to enjoy it as much as last year. Perhaps taste buds changed. The only noticeable difference I noted was the moisture of the cake seemed less this year. So I'm not really sure. She had a few bites at least
At first we were disappointed because we got a tracking number that didn't update for 4 days and worried our Buddy wouldn't get it on time, but after a very polite response to our email asking about it we were told that the label was jammed and Okra & Molly paid for 1 day shipping out of their own pocket, so it still got to us a day early!
We bought a bow tie to go with our cake but we also got a dental treat for afterwards and a pup birthday hat for the celebration!
Definitely coming back for our next pups birthday.
I ordered a cake with dog tag and Happy Birthday bandana for my puppy. It was his first birthday so of course I wanted it to be special. Everything was so amazing, much more than expected! They even sent a complimentary birthday hat! This company is wonderful and made my puppy's first birthday memorable for the both of us! He LOVED the cake! Thank you for the memories!
I remembered my dog's upcoming 12 year birthday on a Friday and his birthday was the following Tuesday. I ordered a birthday package thinking I'll just have to give him his cake whenever it gets here. Well, it arrived on the following Monday-perfect timing! Excellent service and my boy loved his cake and prizes.
My first review wouldn't let me give a 5 star but only a 3! I figured something different out and it worked! I'm so happy I can give my baby a birthday cake he can eat! It's a five star for me i now know from last year is it goes in the refrigerator if what's not eaten till he eats it again! Thank you and he still has his name tag on him!
I love getting cakes from here we are on the yearly subscription and it's so nice because I don't have to remember to get on here and get the cake! Charlie loves his cakes! The customer service is amazing and they ship really fast and the cake is always perfect never damaged melted or anything!
One of my best friends adopted a 6 year old dog from the shelter. He was in need of a groom and he looked a little like Chewbacca so that is what they named him. Okra and Molly knocked my Chewbacca cake request out of the park! Thank you for helping me send my friend who is states away such an awesome "welcome to the family" gift for their new dog.
I purchased a cake for my dog who was turning 13 years old on a Saturday. The Tuesday right before his birthday, we had to put him down after a bad car accident in which he was run over. I emailed Orka and Molly that Wednesday to see about cancelling my order (not even caring about a refund, just not wanting to see the cake because of how devastated I already am about losing my dog) and they got back with me the same day and refunded me the money. If I ever get another dog again, I look forward to purchasing a cake with Orka and Molly! Thank y'all for being a great company!
I ordered a cake for my puppy turning 1. The cakes looked great on the website and I knew he would love them. His birthday is today and it is almost 6:00 pm. Still no cake. Great idea just wish it could have delivered on time. This was kind of imortant to me.
Have ordered two cakes so far and have loved how easy they were to order and get in time for festivities. Super cute and so many options to choose from. Definitely recommend these cakes to our friends for their pups!

The cake i received was the wrong flavor. My dog did not enjoy it at all. This is my first dog and it is her 1st birthday so I am very unhappy. The cake I was supposed to receive was fudge carob apple. Instead I got peanut butter.
Came on the day I asked for. Looked amazing and my birthday boy scarfed it right down. I will definitely be ordering one for all of my dogs' birthdays. There is so much detail involved in the cake itself and packaging.
Loved the cake I got my for pup! I also love the balloons that i ordered! They loved it so much and I can't wait to order for the next occasion! Makes their day super special! Only reason for 4 stars and not five is because my order came late and I ordered over a month in advance. My pawty banner also was broken. The cake was amazing! My dogs loved it.
Ordered a cake 3 weeks ago for my dogs 14th birthday. Still today at 1 PM CT, no shipping info. They know there are shipping delays and still wait until the last minute. Then incredibly rude customer service. I highly doubt I will receive the cake by Saturday for my dogs birthday on Sunday. I'd rather have the cake early than late. They claim it's already made and will ship today so they won't refund and have advised if it arrives late they will also not refund. Oh they also advised the cake I ordered is "known to have mold issues." Funny the website doesn't mention that! Even if I do receive I don't think I'll be feeding it to my dogs. I will NEVER do business with this company EVER again and I recommend no one else does!
Hey Megan, as i'd mentioned in our private messages, the A La Mode has a higher chance of mold issues when it has sat for too long, which is why we don't send them out early, but that could be said for any of our cakes, honestly. As the site says, we use very little preservative and only send out fresh cakes. If you'd like your cake shipped for an earlier date, please select an earlier date. We ship for the date you select, as the site explains, and your cake ships today for Saturday, per your order.
I am not sure why, but this time around they sent me the wrong flavor cake and it arrived 2 days after my chosen date (which I get they cannot control, but I think it was shipped late too). Normally, 5-star experience, but this time not so much.

Only thing I would change is that I missed the part where it stated that the type of cake I was ordering only gets bakes on Wednesdays and Sundays. Maybe display this a little more prominently on the product page so people are aware
I ordered a cake for my pug Toast for her first birthday, it came the day before and was the cutest thing ever. She loved it! It had her name and everything! Will definitely be ordering again next year.
My dog is very picky but the moment I took it out of the package he couldn't wait to eat it. He kept going into the kitchen for more! It was such a huge hit with all the dogs, will definitely be ordering again.
The ordering process was easy, shipped to your door in a timely manner, and looked great! No melting even though it was shipped to Texas in mid September. Couldn't be happier and got a ton of compliments from pictures I put on social media!
The first cake I ordered was caved in and missing a good portion of the cake when I cut into, but I decided to order from them again. Wrong decision. I ordered a white carrot cheddar cake and they sent the peanut butter apple. Customer service was not helpful at all saying they sent what I ordered, but they are the only ones that can see the details of the order. The order confirmation they send you doesn't list the flavor details. Also poor color choice for a female dog. Not happy at all!
She definitely loved it. The cake was here by the expected date. The box also came with an extra treat and the cake was actually super cute.

Hey Christina, that was actually the correct flavor, the packers were probably just confused by the white icing. We had a white apple to spare and I thought it would make for a really pretty cake for Mishka, so that's the confusion. Good intentions gone awry, i guess, sorry for your disappointment.
