The painters known as Aus Bee Tong don't speak a lot of English, but they are pretty handy with a paint brush! While they get on with the job of painting, Andrew, another member of the team is careful to ask questions, explain procedures and to ensure that the painters understand exactly what you want. Here's how you could improve... close down. I used you to get a person to do decking, painting, fence and much more. The person you sent was absolutely useless. I complained to you and you dodged the situation. Luckily I got rid of him shortly after he started before he completely wrecked my place. I lost $3,000 deposit on this incompetent 'handyman' and it's been a while. Anybody who sees the 'work' would swear it was done by children. In the meantime my place looks rather nasty from the street. I felt totally ripped off and have been reticent to get the work re-done due to being 'gun-shy' with trades people and various personal matters that have cropped up.

I needed to get my back yard sorted out properly and wasn't sure where to start so I listed my job on another platform that is used before but I wasn't happy. Then I tried Oneflare. I was contacted by Troy from Oakmont Landscaping and he very promptly came out to take a look. I needed a new retaining wall and new back boundary fence. He was confident, polite and professional. He sent me a quote as promised that afternoon and I discussed it with my husband and my neighbours. He was approachable, flexible, friendly and gave us a start date. They started our job and were such hard working strong reliable tradies. Our job was done exactly like we wanted and I enjoyed getting to know the team. We had a great rapport with the supervisor and she made sure everything went as planned. It was a labour intensive job as we had terrible access so it all got done by hand. Thank you Troy, Tracey, Matt & Tyrone at Oakmont and thank you Oneflare for without you we would have been still trying to get sorted so I could take delivery of my sauna.

I posted an ad to get a cleaner out for an end of lease clean. It all was easy.
Given extenuating circumstances I asked to cancel my subscription with OneFlare. I thought it would be reasonable given that I have really severe circumstances affecting me (which I explained to OneFlare) at the moment that I request a refund for my subscription fee. Oneflare would call during work hours so I was unable to pick up, and every time I tried to get a hold of my account manager I would be met with instant voicemail. I left voice messages with the business to call me back but no response for a week. Finally got a hold of somebody and had to wait for the account manager to call me again. I was met with hostility that I didn't notify the business within 15 days to cancel my subscription, I explained to the account manager that I had extreme circumstances and I was pushed for time to use the OneFlare platform due to family issues and full time study - her response: "Oh but you can still use the platform to create leads." I just wanted a refund given that I am having family troubles and can't commit time to creating leads. Really frustrating and horrible experience with them. I wouldn't recommend the site to anybody as the subscription fee is ridiculously high, you need to go out of your way to ask your previous customers to review you on the site, and while they "promise" leads it is very hard work basically cold calling people to get jobs.
Tip for consumers:
If you're a freelancer use any other method of lead creation - this site should be a last resort

I love that you can post the job you want done and let the quotes roll in! Once you receive some quotes, you can sieve through and pick the best company to suit your needs. Its great!
Could do with sending jobs to more local people from my location. Trades were coming from more than 2 hours away to do quotes.

I got my taxes done by Michael Vella. The appointment was very thorough and he helped me get a good return by telling me about deductions I was not aware of.
I hired someone through One Flare to fix my dishwasher. The spin arms were not turning.
Technician came, spent 5 minutes on the job, then told me the spin arms need to be replaced, and charged me a $130 call out fee, just to tell me that.
I argued this was a bit excessive since the original quote included 30 minutes labour, plus I knew the spin arms were not good.
Later that night the windscreen of my car was smashed.
When I rang One Flare, to complain I believe this act of vandalism was deliberate, they kept me on hold for over 30 minutes. I couldn't get through to them.
When I eventually did get through 24 hours later, (had to ring 4 times) I got told it was probably my fault.
The customer service rep at One Flare said I must have done something or said something to upset the Tradie.
What sort of crap is this?
I pay a $130 call out fee just to get told what I already know.
My car gets vandalised. My dishwasher is still not working, and One Flare try to tell me my car was vandalised because I was rude and inconsiderate to the Tradie, meaning technically speaking, it was my fault.?
How did One Flare ever get a licence to trade?

If you called between 9 am and 5 pm, our waiting time is 1 minute. In addition, we do not have a record of a call that matches your description.

Oneflare is easy to use and a great way to find tradies that actually want the work. I've used Oneflare with great success each time and id continue to use it again when I next need a job done well.
The lead prices keep increasing for no reason, used to be around $3 now it is over $11 including 25% discount.
Their policy is to sell someone's number to you and that is all, Halelooya
The rest is on you to see whether that person decide to answer the phone or not and whether wants the job to be done.
In their stupid policy, if customer just look for a quote and nothing else, it is still considered as a job and you are liable to pay them.
In simple words, there is no kind of refund unless the job is cancelled by the person who posted the job at the first place! How often someone will back to do so?
Here is the thought, what if the person posted a job is fake and in fact is one of oneflare team which never gets back to cancel it.
That is great business idea, is not it?!
Something for potential customers: Please post a job if you really want to do that and not looking for a quote or some kind of amusement. That is our work, that is our life, that is not a joke, Please take it seriously.

There was a price increase in a few categories as we realized we had been grossly undercharging on leads, however, we still aim to provide you with the best quality customers for the lowest prices in the market!
At this time, depending on your category, leads will be priced based on a number of factors such as the value and location of the job. Lower priced leads means lower demand jobs and vice versa - but the cost to quote will also be specified to you before you quote so you can pick and choose which leads to spend your money on.
At Oneflare we provide you with the opportunity to quote on leads posted by customers who are looking at getting jobs done. If, at any point, the customer indicates they no longer want to go ahead with the job anymore we are more than happy to refund your quote to you.
Additionally, if the customer has not seen your quote within 48 hours and you haven't tried to contact them, we will refund these quotes automatically.
In an effort to ensure our customers are genuine, we are now implementing verified mobile numbers and email addresses on leads. You will be shown if either of these contact details are verified on a lead before you quote so be sure to look out for those!

We hired a painter and what a mess not the mention he turned out not to be licensed but not to worry his card quoted a fake number, he wasn't registered for GST and OneFlare couldn't have been less concerned you would think they would check the so called trades on there site what a joke.
