Orangewebsite

I purchased a domain and hosting and they did not provide the service/s that I paid for, I was then met with emails demanding to produce ID documents for domain registration, there was no mention of this during signup. When I contacted support, they were unhelpful and pointed me to the no refunds policy on their website. I noticed they billed me as "orange website Hong Kong limited" when the website would have you believe that they are an Icelandic company and good for privacy, yet you have to hand over your passport scan to register your domain which doesn't sit right to me.

I received a further email today suggesting I should have purchased their more expensive dot is domains for Iceland which are very much overpriced. I would say those domains are among the most expensive domain extensions in existence. In the past they were not called oreangewebsite HK Ltd so I expect another company has taken over and support is very poor and mainly consists of a copy and paste response.

Either way I contacted my payment company and got a full refund because I never received the domain that I paid for and it remained offline
