“AMAZING customer service!”

I have never dealt with such helpful individuals. I'm in customer service and the level of customer service the employees of Oriental Trading is AMAZING! I had two separate issues and they took care of me with easy, no hassle, understanding and with such speedy resolutions. I didn't have to over explain, talk to a line of people, wait a million hours to get an answer. I think both times I was on the phone with a rep it took less than 5 minutes from start to finish. I have been ordering from this company for years now (for work) and this just makes me want to do more business with them. Thank you for making my job that much easier Oriental Trading!

“Monthly charge scam”

I ordered something from their website in Dec. 2023 and they have been charging me a monthly fee of $14.95 a month since then. Placing that order automatically signed me up for some kind of notification subscription fee which I was not aware of. I am furious and feel scammed. I notified my credit card company and they are blocking future charges. I tried to contact the company to tell them I want a refund but no luck yet. I will be filing complaints with the Better Business Bureau and the Attorney Generals office

Purchased the 10$ oversized soccar ball for my 5 year old son for Easter and after inflating it on the night before it was not only egg shaped, IT WAS DEFLATED 30 MINUTES LATER! Order arrived before date specified but I'm out of a replacement present as Easter is tmrw. No time for replacement present.

Ordered a bag of candy thinking - this is a bulk re seller - NOT paid $17.99 for a bag of candy you can get at Walgreens for $4... of course you can not return anything that is edible of course

Fraud based company reels you in with discount and secretly signs you up for a membership program that you wouldn't even get any benefits from if you wanted it, then says the fact they are so discreet about signing you up, they'll blame you for not paying close enough attention even when I STILL can't find in the checkout process where you are supposed to be able to decline, and they will refund you in multiple payments over the course of a long time. Read the BBB complaints and run as fast as you can from these POS's.

Ordered fr them for a Christmas party and decided to pay for expedited shipping for 12/12.12/12 came, nothing was delivered.

Checked tracking and showed 12/13. Then tracking showed out for delivery at 1009am on 12/13. By 8pm, 12/13, nothing. Called n Oriental trading Customer Svc basically tells u, "thank u for yr money but ultimately, it's not their problem, they are not the carrier for delivery". You paid for expedited shipping? That means nothing, it's on their site as a joke! Customer disappointed or upset? Oh, d mighty Oriental Trading Customer Svc will refund you the shipping cost or they will issue a $25 store certificate?!?!

First, save the $25 crap, never buying from them again. Then suggested I go call UPS?

Fine, called them. UPS said Xmas Season, drivers work late, stay up till midnight and wait pls n call back again if nothing is delivered. Of course, nothing was delivered and tracking miraculously changed from "out for delivery" on 12/13, to "in transit" on 12/13, to now, "Monday, end of day 12/16, cos UPS San Jose Hub opens 5 days a week?!

This is a nightmare. Unless you don't care much about whatever you are purchasing from them, else, NEVER trust them as a supplier for parties or important events.

Even when Oriental Trading doesn't deliver even if you pay for expedited shipping, no worries, they have a just as inefficient carrier who doubles down, and ensures whatever you have planned is a failure!

Super site, I am able to get what I need at great prices....shipping is fast too and email communication on tracking is wonderful....I love all the great stuff this site has to offer....

My daughters birthday is 2 weeks away and I couldn't find any local stores carrying carnival decorations, so I called oriental trading and they said if I paid the most expensive shipping (65$) it would definitely be here within the week, so I placed my order and went to bed. In the AM I received an email saying there were shipping restrictions so they cancelled my order and didn't charge me. I called to ask what they couldn't ship so I could order the rest, during the conversation the lady tells me "it doesn't matter which shipping I choose and pay for, it'll take the same amount of time (2 weeks)" so why did I pay $65 for "express"?

I say not to worry about reordering and decide to find somewhere else, later on that day $200 leaves my bank account, so I call and ask them to return it since they cancelled the order and told me they wouldn't charge me. They tell me it'll be back in my account in 3-5 days.

What a joke, I now don't even have the money in my account to buy local decorations. I'm beyond upset, this is hands down the worst company I've ever dealt with and I will never order from them again. Save yourself the hassle and find a better website that won't screw you over for your events.

I placed an order in the 4th and the delivery said arrival by the 12th. I kept checking the site to see if items had shipped and nothing. Finally five days later, I call customer service and they tell me that the items haven't shipped yet but that the delivery date says the 12th. I told the lady I did not want to chance it arriving late. She told me I can overnight it for 32.99. That was at 10 am in the morning. I get a message a 10:30 from customer service saying they need additional payment info bc PayPal doesn't allow for changes. I call them back at 1; 00 and give them the payment info. They tell me that my package won't ship until the next day and so will arrive in two days. I told them that it was poor customer service on their part to charge overnight which can be picked up by 3 and it really is two days -- she told me they need to process it. I told her they have been processing it since five days ago so that's would not be the issue. She told me she would do her best to find the package and try to ship it out overnight. Ten minutes later I get an email from the customer service director telling me that it is possible the package won't arrive for two days. Poor business practice and the last time I order from them -- been a loyal customer for years and will now stick to Rhode Island novelty.

YES! Because I did not read the very small print, and because I got free shipping... I was automatically enrolled in a program that did even closely resemble the name of the company! I was charged $14.99 for a program called fun rewards! It took a bit of sleuthing to trace it back to the oriental trading company! I had them remove the charge, but the way they did it was insidious, they waited a few weeks after the delivery of the item, they did not contact me alerting me to the charge that was from the company. AND THE NAME OF THE CHARGE ON MY CREDIT CARD WAS NOT oriental trading company, get it? They hope you will not notice the charge. I got the impression that they were expecting my call because they get this call all the time. The lady did not argue NOR did she ask any questions about the fun rewards program, she simply processed my refund after I asked for it.

So i bought the 6 foot mando poster for a co worker that was leaving.

#1 it was NOT 6 feet! It was more like 5feet 10 inches and HELL YES, if you sell it as 6 feet, I want my fricking 6 feet!

But folks thats not the worst from these jerks, today I see a 14.95 charge from a company called fun rewards program!. Guess who that is... right its oriental trading company and if you buy anything from them ( it wont be as problem for me again) they automatically sign you up for the fun rewards program! Its $14.95 and they use the credit cad YOU used to buy from them. No warning... no email... just 1 month after you place an orde... BOOM. You have signed up for the fun rewards program. And the lady had the nerve to make me give all my info before she would cancel and refund my money. I could tell she gets these calls ALL THE TIME.

Have only ordered a few times, but for inexpensive party items I am totally happy. I do try to order early as it does seem to take a few weeks to get your items.

Only "after" you receive the "Not as Described" & "Not as Pictured" Gummy Mermaids & want to either Return them or Throw them away, do you find out, after calling their Customer Dis-service number, that "buried" 4 levels Down, on their Website, difficult to Find, & in Tiny print, that there are "NO CANDY REFUNDS"! NOT on their page where you "ordered" the candy from, NOT on their page with Product Details, NOT on their page with Questions & Answers & NOT on their page with Reviews, because there are None! IF this company wants to be as HONEST as they "PRETEND" to be then, they would put their "NO CANDY REFUNDS" policy on the SAME page as Everything else! I WOULD NOT FEED THIS GARBAGE TO MY DOGS!

Great prices! Quality is skimpy sometimes but a great place to go to when you have a limited budget. Love their clearances and their customer service is exceptional.

I Bought The 10LB Mega Shell Assortment to use in craft projects thinking buy their picture of Colorful shells, that would be what I received. NOT THE CASE, Over 5lbs of the shells were solid white, about so shells were broken, I returned them & they told me it would take TWO weeks to issue me a refund! They are a SORRY Company.

Tip for consumers:
If you are looking for Sea Shells, go elsewhere unless you want 50% of them to be common all white shells. 2 week wait for them to issue a refund after product is returned.

Will only ship to address of credit card, tried to ship to US address to save on shipping, they will not do it! It will cost be $45 extra plus exchange for a $50 order. NEVER order from them!

I placed an order a few months back for some water bottle labels for my wedding this coming year. I was charged how I should have been, and then a day later I get a call saying they weren't doing my order... no explanation. So I waited a few months, thinking that maybe the stock or something wasn't there. So I placed my order a week ago, got the package yesterday and the 250 labels I purchased to be personalized were completely wrong. I customized them to read mine and my fiance's name and the date of our wedding in a brown color. When I opened the box, all of the labels only had the word "and" and a black line. Completely wrong and not what I had paid for. Who would order 250 blank water bottle labels? Did they think I wanted to "write" in the names on every single one? I immediately called customer support and told him I would like my money back... to sum up the rest he tried to tell me I HAD to pay for my return shipping label! I put my foot down and said I am NOT paying for the return label. He found a way to waive the $6.99 shipping charge and they are refunding me for my order minus the $25.00 shipping fee. Terrible experience and will never be ordering from this company ever again.

Ordered all of my wedding items from stemware to personalized items we had to order two extra sets of champagne flutes because the original ones broke as we were taking them out to inspect them

I have ordered many times from OTC and have never been disappointed, but with this last order I placed, I have been blown away with their professionalism! I am a School Crossing Guard and like to make up little "goodie bags" for "my" kids. For St Patrick's Day, I ordered several candy items for the bags but when they arrived, one had an expiration date of June 2015! I called and was told to throw away the old candy and they would ship out a new bag and it would be here by March 9. Well, it didn't come by March 9 so I went to the web site to track the order and found out it had been delivered on March 11! It wasn't delivered to ME, so I called the post office. To make a long story short, the package had been delivered to the wrong branch of our local post offices, so instead of sending it to MY post office, they sent it back to OTC! How stupid can people be?! I called to see if OTC could send it back, and not only did they send it back, they express-shipped it so #1, it would get to me in time for St Patrick's Day, and #2, our brainy post office would not be involved in any way! The candy arrived Thursday, I added it to the goodie bags, and the kids loved the candy! It was the "Pot O' Gold" candy packets- and each little piece of candy has a shamrock stamped on it! The kids thought it was really neat! So thank you, Oriental Trading Company, and your employees, for helping make our St Paddy's Day a success! You're #1 in my book!

I, like many others, have ordered a handful of items from this site for my wedding after receiving numerous catalogs in the mail. I only received one out of two of my packages and within it was a singe item from my order. The other three items were for another couple, even including a customized lawn sign complete with a photo of them along with their names and the date of their wedding. The thing that disturbed me the most was that their wedding was dated three days after I got the package. I was so sad for them that I honestly shed a few tears. My mother called customer service and after a long talk she had to suggest to the fella on the other line that he should contact the couple. As if he couldn't think of doing so himself! ALSO, my stepmother ordered stickers from the site to use on my favor bags and she received the wrong ones and had to reorder! My own order was reshipped and it hasn't arrived yet, but I'm feeling somewhat hopeful since this situation only happened five days ago. It's safe to say that I will be going to a party store for my next event after this fiasco.

I bought the totes and found they were too big. When I returned it and it cost me $35 for the shipping fee becuase I used their origional box. It was unpleasant to pay the shipping fee on my own.

Tip for consumers:
They will refund the order but I have to pay the big shipping fee.

I ordered some crafts on a Monday night for a kids event we are having at our business on Sunday. I paid the extra shipping to have it delivered and arrive by Friday. So i track the package every day a couple times a day to make sure its still being delivered on Friday and that way i know if it isnt going to be, I need to figure out a Plan B. So FRIDAY 2pm comes around and its scheduled delivery is changed to MONDAY! Seriously? On friday at 2pm. And i need this package in less than 2 days. I called and they did fix my problem, refunded my extra shipping charge (yay) and they say they can reship a new order and i will be here by Saturday. They ask me to call Friday night after 8pm so i can confirm it has shipped. I did, and they did confirm it shipped out and will be here on Saturday. HOWEVER, now i check SATURDAY MORNING and only HALF of my shipment is going to be here because the other stuff is out of stock! No notification via email, no call, no nothing letting me know that only half of my order is coming. Nice right? So if i would have not checked this am, my package would be coming tonight and i would completely screwed for my event tomorrow. Thank you oriental Trading for completely screwing up this order, my event and my next day and a half because now i have to find time in between work today and work tonight to find a new craft for 50 kids for tomorrow. Your business sucks!
