I've had a fantastic experience with Oxford, very well presented, excellent student support, fast replies to any questions. Well worth every penny, will definitely be enrolling again in the future. I am now wishing to continue with A-level English literature and language.
Course material and online resources are out of date and irrelevant to the course studied. The web site and student area is very basic, old fashioned and difficult to navigate. The 'tutor support' is laughable. I know this 'college' courses are cheaper than many others but honestly pay a little more, shop around and go with a proper organisation. I already have 3 recent ALevels at grade A, but wanted to add to my collection and didn't really mind what resources were offered being quite an independent learner, but what you pay is outrageous for what you receive here. You may as well by a 20 year old second hand text book from Amazon which would be more use than this 'course'.
I took my counselling exam today and passed with merit. I have had a great bind with my tutor and had all questions and work sent back swiftly.
Coming back to study at 60 years old should be diffivult, but with the support of the tutor and the phone staff I have felt really included.
The materials are well suited and build on previous units, which really helps your confidence.
A+ all round. I shall now be enrolling on their degree program.
As others, I did some research into colleges similar to oxford and ultimately decided on oxford. I believe it was the best decision as I got very good material, and passed my course after putting in what I think was good effort. I would recommend oxford to anyone looking for some good bundles, they have a lot.
Second time around for me with Oxford College. Again, fantasic tutor who helped me so much and organised me with coursework. Really rather brilliant and would again sing their praises.
Would hope to do another course one day.
Very proud to have completed both courses (A Levels) with exceptional results
I took this course as a add on for my own professional development. I have just started to work as an apprentice in the science facilities at my local college. I am interested in the human body and everything which goes with it such as this course, diet and nutrition and exercise.
I chose the forensic and criminal psychology as i have always found this type of crime and forensics interesting. I enjoy watching forensic programmes which inspired me to complete a course in this field. I have learnt so much so far and there are still some units to complete before i finish my course and are ready to take the exam.
I have worked through various units so far which were clearly labelled online and the instructions were simple to follow for anyone using the online studying programmes. I was surprised by the level of content and quality of the material. I have recommended it to several work colleagues and friends, its certainly the best online college I've studied with yet.
Wanted to mention my A Level in Biology. I needed these extra UCAS points for my degree course with the OU.
I have been helped, supported and nurtured by my FANTASIC tutor. My work was marked at the speed of light, questions and concerned catered for on my fast track course.
Working through the course (I have a background in Biology) was straight forward and clear. Materials accurate and most definitely prepare you for what the exam throws at you. Five star rating, no question.
I have had lots of pointers for exam centres from the student services staff too and Anastasia needs a special mention. With thanks to Oxford.
Completed my Diet and Nutrition course in April. Had loads of helpful feedback from my tutor, and passed the examination with credit.
Student services are always at hand to help and motivate and now i am ready to study at a higher lebel.
Being that I live in Germany I wanted an education that was recognised Internationally and this has happened.
I would certainly recommend this form of education and this college
Thank you for making Egyptology such a fascinating and exciting course. The modules were all excellent and I have enjoyed every minute of the course and have completed my exam today and passed. The tutors helped me pass all modules and I look forward to doing another course in 2014.
Really enjoyed studying this course and now feel that I have a better and clearer understanding, would love to do another course in the same area but unfortunately funds limit me from taking that step and there are no more price suitable courses at present
I would definitely recommend Oxford and plan on continuing my study again with Oxford in the near future once I have the funds.
I personally liked the course, the content of the reading materials and the language used. I found the information useful and it was pleasant to go through the reading materials. Personally I wanted to pass the course faster and because of that didn't write most of the SAP's but probably is a good idea to be compulsory. I think that they are very useful and make the student to do a lot of research while learning many new and additional things. I am very happy with the fast and efficient responses from the academic department or my tutor's feedback on the SAP's. Thank you very much and would say great job to your team
I am extremely excited to complete my diploma in psychometrics from oxford college. I must comment that the quality of material is highly impressive. I have spent the last 20 years of my life in human resources consulting involving very details work using psychometric tests. I have read materials related to Jung typology and studied in detail, the work of many authors.
I had assumed the course will be a work over which i can complete in less than 2 months. To my suprise the quality and depth of the material was much more challenging, than i had expected. I have learnt professional details that have significantly improved my competence and confidence in psychometric practice. I had set out to pass the exam with a distinction, but i passed the merit. Painful but interesting.
Great thanks to Oxford College for the opportunity to study via online courses. I have found that the products are very easy to use and that there are many options such as if you prefer hard copies, you can buy them rather than using online copies. I enjoyed the course, especially the way the modules are set out in a way that a lot of research must be done by the student so that the student learns more than he actually needs for the course.
I will definitely study here again with Oxford and im already on the lookout for a new study field-hope i can receive a discount...-Just jokin.
Only a few places which I found within the modules that is slightly incorrect statements, but they are not totally incorrect statements either.
After completing a level 3 with Oxford I then progressed to level 4 and 5. Nutrition has always been my life, and wanted to take my life, after children in this direction.
I suppose I was lucky that my experience of the level 3 diploma in diet and nutrition was positive - I was also equally happy I could continue up to foundation degree level.
Throughout, my tutor guided me and supported me when required and student services pointed me in the right direction when needed.
At level 5 the journey is harder and you are expected to be more independant (level 3 helped) and I only wish I could continue with the college. I cannot say to any other learner the empowerment I have got.
I completed my course and exam in February this year but thought I should drop a line to say my feelings.
I have always had an interest in nutrition and the course synopsis seemed to fit the bill. I worked through each unit, my replies came back quickly allowing me to move through the course steadily, anything I didn't understand was also replied to quickly showing my extra resources to widen my knowledge.
I completed my exam with distinction, and I was overjoyed as were my family. I am now considering doing a higher level course as I feel I now have the skills to do so
When I first started this course, I wasnt very convinced that it was something that I would enjoy doing as a job but after a few weeks of getting to know more about it and my fellow students, can now know that I was wrong and that I cant wait to start working in this field.
This was a very interesting course, well written and easy to follow and I enjoyed doing this course immensely. The format of the work is very user friendly and the response to my assessments was quick and helpful. I would highly recommend Oxford College Level 3 Diploma's. I would be happy to do another course in the near future.
Also I must commend Oxford College for the opportunity that it is presenting to individuals like myself to do further studying. I found the experience worthwhile and interesting, the guidance given was expertly offered. Special thanks to my personal tutor. Now all that I need to do is find a job that will fit my course that I like!
I took an a level in Philosophy to bump up my UCAS points for University entry to Exeter. My tutor was fabulous, guiding me through each stage of the course. When I was unsure of exam booking I contacted student services who pointed me in the right direction and stuck with me until I was organised. A really positive experince that was filled the whole in my credits. A big thanks to all.
The course is something that i really wanted to study,
The layout of the course was fantastic and very easy to read and understand after looking at it a few times. The course took me 6 months of the 1 year i was given to complete, this was due to the time i put into the study of sports and psychology. On the first attempt i omitted to pass the exam and this felt like a knock to my confidence but i revised hard for three weeks and todays result of passing feels fantastic.
I would recommend oxford college for the staffs kindness, patience and for the absolute support that they give.
Pass or fail, i would recommend this college and i look forward to further study with them.
This course truly helped me understand why we need change and how change is applied in the work force. Having worked in change management for a number of years now this course helped me align myself with the company and the people side of change. The course is extremely well explained and full of examples of where you can find good examples and research. The tutors are a great help and do not coddle you when you need improvement!
-Oxford College has helped and will continue to help me increase my knowledge and help me not only in my job but also in my everyday life.
I have just completed my course with Distinction! The resources I got were excellent although you really do need to have the paper version and I think it should be included in the initial cost. Also, I would have liked to have had an email from someone to check that I was getting on ok with the material as I decided not to submit the questions but it would have been nice to know that someone was still thinking of me. But I was fine anyway so it doesnt matter much.
The level 3 diploma in anatomy and Physiology was easy to understand. Captured my attention easy.
The structure of the course is OK, though there are some mistakes of spelling that i noticed, not bad ones just some small spelling mistakes. Otherwise information is very accurate as far as i know. I like it because I could understand easy and also I like it for it's giving acknowledgment at the end of every module.
I am very happy I graduated with a distinctions!
Having signed up for the childcare course with Oxford College I was a bit skeptical as this was my first online course. The course was explained to me in detail from start to finish and I had tutor support throughout. I found the online course materials easier as I could access my course at anytime, anywhere.
I just wanted to say how delighted I am to have found this excellent website. I enrolled on 3 courses and the support was excellent. If you are looking for distance learning courses this is the only place to go!
There were a lot of competitors for online learning but oxford won me over with their lower pricing. The course work provided was of good quality for me and I didn't have a problem finishing my exams on time and with a good score. Overall I think they deserve the 5 credits because every time I had a problem, I had a reply within a couple of minutes to a couple of hours depending on the time I submitted the question.
I enrolled on the course with an interest in dgs and their behavior after I started volunteering with a dog rescue centre in Spain. I know the college had provided a charity scheme for them and we got a discount for courses. I never thought at my age I would return to education but found the whole experience really positive.
All the materials were clear, especially in what I was supposed to be learning and when I had questions (I had a lot!) I was reassured and things were explained a different way so I understood.
All in all I feel great that I've done this. Shows age isn't a barrier to learning.
Had a really good experience with my A Levels, I studied from Portugal and took my exams in the UK. The course tutors were excellent, and always got back to me really quickly if I was unsure of what I was doing!
Will certainly promote this form of learning.
The course material is of good quality. The feedback is very good. The bundles they do are very extensive and their careers advisor was very helpful in choosing a bundle that would suit my preferred career path. Highly recommended.
I have always enjoyed everything about travelling, I am well travelled having visited many countries and thought this course would suit me well.
The course helped me to gain understanding in other areas of travel such as travel agency, tourism, destinations, long haul destinations, the role of the travel agency and customer service.
