PCI says "Based on the photos you sent, the defects shown are a result of damage sustained in transit. Damage was not noted on the carrier's bill of lading which releases them and our production team of liability. Because of this, I [PCI] cannot provide free replacements or a refund." CAUTION #1 - If you buy their columns, DO NOT allow the freight carrier to depart until ALL cartons are opened and inspected. DO NOT allow them to leave without first documenting any damage on the Proof of Delivery (POD) and DO get the driver's signature on it and retain a copy. DO get photos BEFORE they come off the truck and photos of ANY damage to cartons and product. Our shipment weighed 560 pounds and the columns weigh in excess of 100 pounds each. Insist that the freight carrier assign two men to get the columns off the truck WITHOUT YOUR ASSISTANCE when they call to set a delivery appointment. CAUTION #2 – PCI Terms & Policies at https://www.pacificcolumns.com/terms-and-policies state "Orders Shipping Common Carrier require you to unload the items." DO read the following: "To Delivery... It reads in part:: Consignee Duty and Liability: A Clear Supreme Court Holding and Its Progeny Unlike many other situations, here, there is very clear case law on this point. The United States Supreme Court has squarely held that the duty to unload goods rests upon the consignee: The general rule is that it is the responsibility of the carrier... to `deliver' the goods by placing them in such a position as to make them accessible to the consignee. Normally unloading is not a part of the delivery and is performed by the consignee. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT - PCI may not have packaged correctly. In view of the apparent fragility of the columns, notwithstanding PCI Online claims to the contrary, the columns fractured. Regardless of how the damage was inflicted, and by whom, mere cardboard boxing of columns stacked upon one another and banded to a pallet less in length than the overhanging eight-foot columns does not afford adequate protection. Additionally, NO SPECIAL HANDLING REQUIREMENTS appear anywhere in any PCI website pages or available pdf literature. CONCLUSION: In view of the above, it is my VERY STRONG RECOMMENDATION that you DO NOT purchase products from PCI unless you can obtain a written and signed agreement from them that THEY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIBILITY FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGE TO THE SHIPMENT UNTIL IT IS DEPOSITED ON YOUR PROPERTY BY THEIR CARRIER and THEY obtain "CARGO GOODS IN TRANSIT INSURANCE" for the shipment AT THEIR EXPENSE.
Shipping mistake led to delays wasted time. Extra cost to me which was not compensated or even offered. Columns arrived broken. Have to wait for re shipment.
Ordering, pricing experiences were very good. Only negative - requested a three-day advanced phone call before delivery to schedule lift equipment, but we got a thirty-minute advance call.
Everything was shipped and they worked with us. there was a few blemishes on the columns we had to arrange them so that they could not be seen but overall I love them

The entire purchasing experience with Pacific Columns was, how shall I say it, clunky. Trying to get information on what I needed through an account manager took patience and at least four or five iterations. Email communication between myself and the account manager seemed to have a broken connection; for instance, when the type of columns that I needed quotes on finally arrived in the inbox one of the items was quoted with the wrong color. A reply back to the account manager was either never received, typical for just getting any information, or acknowledged and it finally took several phone calls to get it corrected. Finally, when the right quote was purchased by pressing the "Place My Order" button in an email another financial representative called me to review the quote to make sure it was correct and get a credit card number which is a good practice except that about a week later the account manager sends an email saying the price on the quote was still good and please take advantage of it. Apparently the account manager does not get feed back from the financial rep when he/she makes a sale. The system Pacific Columns uses to sell its products needs some work to reduce the frustration level.
I placed our order online from a quote I received from Pacific columns. Pacific columns said they never received our order. Thank god we called 1 week after placing the order for a follow up and to tell them we never received an email with order confirmation. I did check out out using the PayPal option that their website directed me too.
Needless to say the order was late by almost a week! When we called the company the sales rep (the one who sent us 15 email before the order was placed) did not seem very helpful and didn't apologize about their problem that their web-site has. However, he did push the order through and columns showed up yesterday, the day before our project starts. I hope they're perfect because there is no time to return these and re-ship them out. I also ordered 2 of the install kit and the L brackets are plastic. They were shown on their web site as being metal.
After the order was "pushed through" the sales rep told me to call him Monday to see when they would be shipped out.I called him Monday, Tuesday & Wednesday and never received a call back or email from him!

After asking for a quote online, I received prompt emails and spoke directly to a representative who helped with some questions I had. It made ordering very easy. Delivery was very satisfactory.
Received product in super fast time (3 days), have product painted and ready to install, am well pleased with it, will be a few more days before I can install, can't wait.
I spent $5000 with this company and they did not send me all of the caps and bases I orderd they accused the transportation company of losing them stating they unpack a pallet and repack it to fit in their truck...the transport company said that's a ridiculous statement! Layla the customer service rep didn't even know how the caps and bases were packaged!...She said they were packaged two in a box and they did not come like that...caps and bases Came in Separate Boxes they refused to send me the order I paid for and I had to buy $500 worth of caps and bases I already paid for to complete my project on the timeline! I will never use this company again... I will never refer this company to any one and I suggest you look for another company to purchase your columns caps and bases from... customer service is horrible... And this company is dishonest

I ordered my columns and recieved them on time with a call ahead of time so I could coordinate with my busy schedule and have my forklifft on site and ready. They fit like a glove to the exact measurements I provided. Couldnt have neen happier!

The columns I ordered arrived in good condition. I have not installed them yet so I don't know how that will go. They appear to be exactly what the customer wanted.
There a few issues in the shopping process. I have received my order, but have not had time to install them. So hard to say my overall satisfaction until that happens.
This additional column was ordered because of damaged column. They did not replace it for free because I didnt check all 8 of my columns on previous order. I left them in driveway and didnt want to check until my prep was ready about 2 weeks later. The columns are heavy and I ddnt want to risk damage until I was ready. To my surprise, when I pulled out the column from box, it was cracked. I was under impression you guys would cover me and you did not. I was VERY dissappointed that you could not cover the cost of damaged column due to shipping and when I could reasonably check columns... please review your proceedures so you can help ore in odd cases like mine... thank you..

I was told that the order would be delivered in 5 to 7 days. But I didn't see it until much longer. I even needed to pick my product up at the delivery company.
Plastic used to locate columns at cap were damaged during shipping. Since these are used for installation might want to consider different package design.
