Pacific Columns

It was a bit cumbersome, but overall, a very good service, product and fair price.
They did promise to include an installation kit, but did not. Kind of disappointed about that.

This was my first experience with your company and it was 1st rate. Your sales person was very helpful and extremely familiar with the products which is not always the case with other suppliers.
I was kept well informed by your folks who were responsible for expediting my order. They were on top of it every step of the way.

Thought the hardware kit was very cheap the brackets to secure columns are plastic and kept breaking. Multiple surface scratches on columns it self that will have to be filled and sanded before painted.

The shipping pallet needs more bracing from over head stacking by the shipper. The plastic shipping forms were broken on one column. All cardboard packaging was mashed to the column. The separate riser packages were all mashed but appear ok. The columns appear unscathed and are exactly what we ordered. Some painting and trimming and we will be replacing two wooden columns that have cracked with age with the new composite columns.

I ordered and received a quality product custom made to my specs. The order was placed mid- July and shipped mid- August, allowing the manufacture of two Tuscan-style tapered round columns made of western red cedar and their bases and caps as well. I am very satisfied with this American made product and these people are top-notch to deal with, answering all my questions and delivering a beautifully made product. Thank You!

Although well packed, some of the large boxes were open and content spilled. One item missing altogether. I am confident it will be fixed. Excellent service, reasonable price, rapide deliveryand... I hope... good after sale service!

Sales staff very polite and helpful. I can only give P.C. 3stars for service because I was given conflicting info on proper installation of free-standing columns which resulted in extra costs. Product itself is excellent

I simply ordered a catalouge and it was shipped promptly. I also had my customer order through Coos Head Builders Supply 7 - 10" H. X 8" taper round columns with tuscan base and Roman capitals. Should be a nice project for a home built in 1850. I'll update when complete.

Hello, We've not installed the columns we bought from you yet so that last question is difficult to answer. I gave it 5 stars because I expect to be happy after all my communications w/Ryan Schumaker. He has been really awesome to work with. I was working w/our large family group on decisions...as well as our towns historical committee. He actually spent time on the phone w/the head of that committee explaining different aspects of the materials, shapes, and history of the column design etc. I thought that was pretty wonderful! Overall we have been beyond satisfied so far.

Great experience all around. The product was a split column of the highest quality and worked much better than I expected. It is rock solid and feels like stone, plus it looks fabulous in place. Couldn't be happier!

I was beeps pleased from my first call to Pacific. Sam Pease helped me to find beautiful and affordable columns. They came even faster than I anticipated. I have had a small problem in that one of the bases arrived damaged. I am now dealing with Kaylyn and a replacement should be on it's ways very soon. My whole experience with Pacific has been great!

The Columns arrived very quickly and far exceeded our expectations. They are very well made and the white finish is perfect. It looks like they have been powder coated so the finish should last for ever. I would highly recommend these columns. I have yet to install them so that is another story. If I run into problems they have a help line.

Great customer service.
Order time to delivery was in excess of 5 weeks and status/communications could have been better.
The OD of the capital was considerably smaller then the ID of the column making alignment difficult.
The column was split and defined as an R cut but the column material thickness is so thin that I don't see how that option is possible, the cut was straight and difficult to hold alignment during reassembly.
Assembly directions very well done.

Great product, great price, top shelf service on the phone when placing order, and delivery was prompt.

Unfortunately customer is staying with wood, repair vers replacement, so larger followup order won't happen this time.

Talked to the sales representative who requested pictures of my project. Was very helpful with product recommendations. Installing contractor had no issues with installation, and we get lots of comments from our neighbors about the finished product. One note, these can be big and heavy. Ours were 14 foot long and 12 inches wide. Quoted as 350 pounds each plus the crating. Each column was very solidly and securely crated. I'm guessing per crate weight 450 pounds +/-. It took four people to off load each column. Bringing it up as a reminder to plan for it. I had to help my contractor off load as it could not be managed by 3 people.

Very happy with product.

Overall experience with Pacific columns has been excellent. Deliveries were timely and product quality met my expectations. As this was a DIY effort the advise I received from the staff greatly assisted me in completing the installation of my five columns. Even the neighbors are satified :)

The representatives at Pacific Columns were very helpful and patient with me. I began looking at columns a year and a half before I was ready to purchase and the people at Pacific Column kept me informed of sales and deals the entire time. They sent me a very large catalog to look through, not only for columns, but casing and crown molding, etc. Great experience and beat my local stores by several hundred dollars on price.

I was very happy with Pacific Columns. Lauren Milkie was very helpful as we talked back and forth before I made a decision to purchase. Order arrived a week and a half after placing it. Contacted customer service about 3 out of 8 retainer rings being cracked on arrival. Sent them pictures and fully expecting they will be replaced. Seems to be a great company with good products.

I'm a contractor and ever since I found pacific columns I will not use any other columns except there's. Yeah they cost a little more but the quality of the product speaks for itself and I don't mind paying more as long as I'm getting a quality product and they have great customer service. I have ordered from them many times and I'm never disappointed I always get a top notch product with great people to do business with u can't beat it!

This was the first time in 33 year of being in the construction business that I have ordered material some where other than a supply house. I dealt with Ryan Shumaker with trying to get 12 columns for an old house with a wrap around porch which the home owner wanted to look identical to the existing. The advice and info. From Ryan was above and beyond what has now become the norm. The columns are almost an exact match. Delivery went smooth as did the install. I would with out a doubt deal with Ryan on any future projects.

Friendly and helpful customer service personnel allowed me to describe my project needs and steer me towards the products required. I received a fair price and the products were promptly shipped and arrived in accordance with on-line tracking information.

Two items received were not the correct ones - I contacted the company and they indicated they would ship the correct parts so I can start on the project. I am waiting to hear that the parts have been sent.

Customer service was way below my expectations after i had already paid for the columns i had ordered. The customer service manager, Sara was the most rudest person I've ever talked to. She didn't help me or answered my question, instead she kept trying to fight with me and with my wife. She was disrespectful and should get some additional customer service training. I had no issues before my payment- the sales representatives were very helpful and persistent.

I am very satisfied with my purchase. I'm extremely glad they came with instructions and they were easy to follow. My only concern after reading them was preparing the base. I didn't have much room to work with, 3/8' on each side. Luckily I was able to use 3/8' plywood to create a base. Everything was packaged extremely well and I just finished installing them. They came out beautifully. I would highly recommend these columns to anyone.
