PCI says "Based on the photos you sent, the defects shown are a result of damage sustained in transit. Damage was not noted on the carrier's bill of lading which releases them and our production team of liability. Because of this, I [PCI] cannot provide free replacements or a refund." CAUTION #1 - If you buy their columns, DO NOT allow the freight carrier to depart until ALL cartons are opened and inspected. DO NOT allow them to leave without first documenting any damage on the Proof of Delivery (POD) and DO get the driver's signature on it and retain a copy. DO get photos BEFORE they come off the truck and photos of ANY damage to cartons and product. Our shipment weighed 560 pounds and the columns weigh in excess of 100 pounds each. Insist that the freight carrier assign two men to get the columns off the truck WITHOUT YOUR ASSISTANCE when they call to set a delivery appointment. CAUTION #2 – PCI Terms & Policies at https://www.pacificcolumns.com/terms-and-policies state "Orders Shipping Common Carrier require you to unload the items." DO read the following: "To Delivery... And Beyond!: The Boundaries of Carrier Liability for Unloading (A Clear Answer to Muddled Facts)" at https://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=03897da1-330a-48a5-8983-76b53c01caf1 D. It reads in part:: Consignee Duty and Liability: A Clear Supreme Court Holding and Its Progeny Unlike many other situations, here, there is very clear case law on this point. The United States Supreme Court has squarely held that the duty to unload goods rests upon the consignee: The general rule is that it is the responsibility of the carrier... to `deliver' the goods by placing them in such a position as to make them accessible to the consignee. Normally unloading is not a part of the delivery and is performed by the consignee. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT - PCI may not have packaged correctly. In view of the apparent fragility of the columns, notwithstanding PCI Online claims to the contrary, the columns fractured. Regardless of how the damage was inflicted, and by whom, mere cardboard boxing of columns stacked upon one another and banded to a pallet less in length than the overhanging eight-foot columns does not afford adequate protection. Additionally, NO SPECIAL HANDLING REQUIREMENTS appear anywhere in any PCI website pages or available pdf literature. CONCLUSION: In view of the above, it is my VERY STRONG RECOMMENDATION that you DO NOT purchase products from PCI unless you can obtain a written and signed agreement from them that THEY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIBILITY FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGE TO THE SHIPMENT UNTIL IT IS DEPOSITED ON YOUR PROPERTY BY THEIR CARRIER and THEY obtain "CARGO GOODS IN TRANSIT INSURANCE" for the shipment AT THEIR EXPENSE.
All went well, and the columns are very strong and attractive. Sales process and delivery went very well. We are happy with the price, look, and product.
I want to recommend to the mfg that the base design be modified so it is graded/inclined away from the column so water does not sit on it after rain, for an extended period of time. A slight incline will work fine. It will not harm the column as currently designed of course, but it would avoid discoloration of the painted base if this were designed to not retain the water.:-)
All of the people that I dealt with at Pacific Columns are courteous, friendly, and helpful. However, the delivery of the product was disorganized or wrong. I had scheduled a delivery for 4 large custom fluted columns on a weekday and left work to meet the delivery truck. BE AWARE THEY ARE CURB SIDE DELIVERY ONLY! The driver pulled one pallet off the truck with 4 relatively small boxes on it. He told me this was all he had. It was the column capitals only. When I called PC they noted that the columns themselves would not ship for another week or so. When the columns finally arrived, they were not split for reassembly as specifically noted on the purchase order. Pacific Columns has still not rectified the situation and I have 4 very large, very expensive, unusable columns waiting to be returned to the manufacturer to be split. This will put the project back even further. I'm disappointed with the lack of response or timeliness from Pacific Columns.
The sales person was outstanding. The columns were delivered in a short time. The columns are installed and look great. A local company gave us a price to install the columns but by using your product and installing them ourselves we saved over $3000.
Thank you

Overall the support from sales to customer service was great.
I was a bit disappointed about the support with the claim due to damage on arrival, as I believed Pacific Columns would take the lead with the claim even though no damage was initially noted on the bill of lading. However, it turns out I should be good going it alone with FEDEX and submission time turned out not to be an issue.
I inquired about some outdoor columns and recieved a call the next working day. I was very surprised with the quick reply. Also the quotes and additional information that was provided by the representative was very helpful. Definetly would purchase from here again, if I need too.
I have done business with Pacific Columns for many years, especially for Fypon products. Their price on Fypon is certainly the best in the business. However Fypon has been bought out and has reduced their product line unfortunately. However, Pacific has covered that situation by brining in several other product lines that in turn gives them a great product line up. If you have the opportunity to obtain a new PC catalog you'll be amazed at their current line up. It's a GREAT Catalog and the product line up covers all the basis. Hopefully the pricing on the new product lines will be nearly as good as it has been over the years with the Fypon product line. As always I'm very pleased with Pacific Columns service. Their timely deliver always meets our production schedules and I can count on them to have the product I need and have it to me when I need it. Well Done P.C. On my last Fypon order as always.
What can I say, We are very satisfied with the products and services all around.
We deal with a very professional and knowledgeable representative of your company, Elizabeth Hatch.
Elizabeth is Superb.

Beautiful website and video and the handsome catalog gave me confidence in the quality. The information in the catalog helped me understand the product and the customer service representative was very responsive. Shipping was fast and the delivery service respresentative was courteous and respectful. Very happy with the experience.
Columns arrived on the date speciofed and they are beautiful. However my columns were 16 foot long and they didn't provide curbside dropoff for columns that long. I had to hire 3 people to take them out from the truck and place on my driveway. Turned out to be a very costly.
The initial order we placed for our client was for three column wraps. Though it was partially our negligence from being extremely busy, the order was placed for only two. Needless to say when it was picked up from our local vendor / distributor we were very disappointed to have only a partial order. However, the second order which we had to drive all the way to Medford to pick up, in order to accommodate our client quickly was produced on time and ready as promised. Kevin Tett was extremely helpful and trustworthy as he helped us navigate through getting the second material order.
From my initial contact with Sam Pease three years ago to the final receipt of the columns last week I've been treated courteously and patiently in response to questions I have raised. On a few occasions when Sam wasn't available Andrew Gonzalez and more recently Daniel Milkie, helped me with questions I had.
I also was very pleased with FedEx, both with the pre-delivery notices and the courtesy of the driver.
Great experience all around!

Pacific is fine, it's the product that is the problem. They do not fit over a 6x6 without a lot of cutting and chiseling. It took me 2-days of hard work to get 5-columns installed. All of them had to have the inside enlarged, Dulling chisels and 3-circular saw blades. Who ever cast these things need a little quality control. I didn't mention the fact that when you finally get them hued out enough to fit around a 6x6 the with on the outside don't match. Federal express damaged one of them in shipping, about a3"x5" triangle shaped chunk broken out of the top end. You need to see what you are getting before the purchase, over $2,000.00, had I seen them before I paid I would not have given you $200.00
When scheduling a delivery time I was contacted by FedEx and given a day and a window of time my delivery was to be dropped off with no other information. I called Pacific Columns when I still did not receive the delivery an hour after my drop off window. I had to contact costumer support because I did not receive tracking information via email from Pacific Columns until several DAYS after the columns arrived so I had no way of contacting the carrier with a tracking number. When I called customer service they could not find any tracking information for me either. I did finally receive a phone call with my tracking information after my columns were delivered. Overall I am happy with the product however, I was very disappointed with the level of professionalism and organization on behalf of the company and will not use them for future products.
My initial order came thru on time and filled properly. We added to the same order with additional columns. The columns came out correct but the capitals and bases came out wrong. I called and informed them they said they would send out new ones. It took a very long time and they were wrong again. I tried to call couldn't get any assistance. I finally got to customer assistance they said they would take care of this. It took weeks and it was all wrong again. This happened again. This all took approximately 2 months of running around. I finally got the right capitals and bases and job is complete. I was late on completion date and had to show all the email corispondace back and forth with Elisabeth Hatch to my company and homeowner so they could see this was your problem not ours. As of now I would have hard time recommending your company.
I received the columns...they are terrible. As soon as I got them I called to see if I can return them, I was told I could not because they are special order. I decided to see how they looked installed, they looked even worse. They are cheap looking junk that I ripped out today. I wasted more then $1000 on these columns. I deserve a credit...THEY ARE CHEAP GARBAGE!
The tracking number I was given was incorrect and gave me a false hope for delivery. After that was reconciled, delivery arrangements were not satisfactory. FedEx misplaced my order that was supposed to be delivered on the 20th. It was set to be delivered on the 23rd, but it took me having to call to make arrangements. I ended up driving to the FedEx hub to pick it up myself rather than deal with the hassle. I have already installed and my clients are thrilled with the result.
My original quote was for $400.00 which was terrible, but Anthony Terrones was also surprised and did a follow up and found a better price and called me directly. $236.25, I placed the order and was under the impression that there was no shipping cost and they were returnable. When the bill was e-mailed to me I saw the shipping price was $86.25, for an 11 pound box? The 5 items were only $150.00, and around 2 pounds each. Even If I had to return the items, which I do not, thank God, I would lose the shipping cost? Postal services would have been less than half. I tried twice to get in touch with Karen Uriarte to discuss the shipping issue, left message, and did not receive the reply. They were shipped on the 13th and received on the 17th. The product is fine and I would order again but not with these ground shipping cost!
I spoke to Mr. Andrew Gonzalez from the Cailfornia office, he knew the products very well and was able to provide the information I needed for my design project. I thought he was excellent, very professional about his work and courteous. I have specifed Pacificcolums and made the recommendation to use this product to my client.
Thank you!
The price won the business. Having to leave work twice with a four hour delivery window each time to get just three columns delivered piece meal wasn't convenient, and the capitals didn't come until a week after the bases and shafts...but the biggest disappointment was opening the boxes of the bases and learning they were plastic (NOT durastone). This should have been disclosed, and I even asked the sales rep about the weights of each piece and he told me the bases were 12lbs each (suggesting they were stone material...but they were more like 2lbs. I hope they last outdoors).
Have had great experiences so far with Pacific Columns. Hope to do more business with them in the future. I looked at multiple companies and their pricing was the best by fairly significant margins.
After the order was placed the cust service people were unresponsive, in particular Ryan. Never received call backs, always had to follow up. Overall experience POOR
Garrett was amazing in answering my questions and reassuring me that I can call him with any questions that Might arise when we go to install the columns. Very pleasant experience so far.
Look good could --- have had better way to mount like L brackets screw to existing pole first --- little surprised with price after seeing almost same ones at Lowe's for third of cost
The brackets I ordered came in on time and look great. They are glued onto the PVC column / beam junctions. I will add small weep holes to insure drainage if ever water penetrates possible glue gaps.
A great experience from placing my order with Ryan through the delivery of your products to the job site.
Installation process was easy and it looks awesome!
