PCI says "Based on the photos you sent, the defects shown are a result of damage sustained in transit. Damage was not noted on the carrier's bill of lading which releases them and our production team of liability. Because of this, I [PCI] cannot provide free replacements or a refund." CAUTION #1 - If you buy their columns, DO NOT allow the freight carrier to depart until ALL cartons are opened and inspected. DO NOT allow them to leave without first documenting any damage on the Proof of Delivery (POD) and DO get the driver's signature on it and retain a copy. DO get photos BEFORE they come off the truck and photos of ANY damage to cartons and product. Our shipment weighed 560 pounds and the columns weigh in excess of 100 pounds each. Insist that the freight carrier assign two men to get the columns off the truck WITHOUT YOUR ASSISTANCE when they call to set a delivery appointment. CAUTION #2 – PCI Terms & Policies at https://www.pacificcolumns.com/terms-and-policies state "Orders Shipping Common Carrier require you to unload the items." DO read the following: "To Delivery... And Beyond!: The Boundaries of Carrier Liability for Unloading (A Clear Answer to Muddled Facts)" at https://www.lexology.com/library/detail.aspx?g=03897da1-330a-48a5-8983-76b53c01caf1 D. It reads in part:: Consignee Duty and Liability: A Clear Supreme Court Holding and Its Progeny Unlike many other situations, here, there is very clear case law on this point. The United States Supreme Court has squarely held that the duty to unload goods rests upon the consignee: The general rule is that it is the responsibility of the carrier... to `deliver' the goods by placing them in such a position as to make them accessible to the consignee. Normally unloading is not a part of the delivery and is performed by the consignee. PREPARATION FOR SHIPMENT - PCI may not have packaged correctly. In view of the apparent fragility of the columns, notwithstanding PCI Online claims to the contrary, the columns fractured. Regardless of how the damage was inflicted, and by whom, mere cardboard boxing of columns stacked upon one another and banded to a pallet less in length than the overhanging eight-foot columns does not afford adequate protection. Additionally, NO SPECIAL HANDLING REQUIREMENTS appear anywhere in any PCI website pages or available pdf literature. CONCLUSION: In view of the above, it is my VERY STRONG RECOMMENDATION that you DO NOT purchase products from PCI unless you can obtain a written and signed agreement from them that THEY ASSUME FULL RESPONSIBILITY AND LIBILITY FOR ANY AND ALL DAMAGE TO THE SHIPMENT UNTIL IT IS DEPOSITED ON YOUR PROPERTY BY THEIR CARRIER and THEY obtain "CARGO GOODS IN TRANSIT INSURANCE" for the shipment AT THEIR EXPENSE.
Excellent service and assistance with purchase and process of importing columns to Canada. Product was packaged well and arrived on schedule. Product is of outstanding quality. Would be please to purchase more products from this organization.
I have not contacted Pacific Columns but I do have a spot on the trim that has the power coat not completely covering the trim and bear metal is showing. I need to call them to see if they have any touch up paint.
I love my new columns. I ordered the Roman Corinthian capitals with the fluted columns. They are beautiful. My house went from a ordinary plain split level to a fabulous car stopping masterpiece! Those capitals really took it to the next level of spectacular.
Sustained damage during shipping. Poorly packaged for the price I paid, It does not look like

Customer service said she would get back to me today to tell me if my replacement pieces would ship out immediately, but I did not hear back and I have to close I this house!
As you can imagine, I am somewhat frustrated! This is a huge setback for me

The Columns arrived as indicated. The Fed-Ex Truck Driver had a pallet jack and could have assisted or made it easier to unload the columns. Yes, I know the instructions said I would need to unload. But, it was a Fed=Ex driver with a pallet jack and they deliver products all the time after unloading.
He was in a bit of a hurry but I said we needed to inspect the product. I had him note some damage on hi delivery sheet. I followed with Pacific Columns by e-mail that we had some damage. We have not erected the columns as of this e-mail and will do so very soon. At that time we will see if we can repair the damages.

The capitals arrived much later than the columns. I was not made aware at order time that this would happen. The capitals did not fit the columns. My salesman said they should fit, and that perhaps I was sent the wrong capitals. He asked me to send pictures. I did this immediately. This was five days ago. I have had NO RESPONSE. I jury-rigged the capitals using wood inside the column, and made the capitals work. They are installed, and I'm DONE with Pacific Columns.
Service was the best! Customer service rep was professional, courteous and extremely helpful. Product was exactly as described and easy to install. Delivery service was also exceptional.
You guys are fantastic and look forward to ordering more materials from you. Highly recommending you to my peers.

Pacific Columns' Ryan Shumaker responded to my website inquiry. He followed up with advice and counsel and provided me with all the information necessary... and then some. Karen Uriarte sent the sales order detail and very helpful shipping information. The columns were produced in the quoted 5 days and shipped. FedEx Freight delivered my order seven days later and in good order. The columns look great! I ordered four columns, one of which was split to accommodate an existing major structural support. It works very well. The installation information is outstanding! I wish that other suppliers were as comprehensive and customer oriented as Pacific Columns. A pleasure doing business with you.

Sam was professional, pleasant, and very informative. He provided images and several options based upon my budget. He followed up and made sure that I knew exactly what to expect and the time frame of shipping.
The product arrived early and undamaged. The only issue I had was concerning the delivery company. I was told that they would call a day ahead for delivery. They called 45 minutes the day of delivery that I did not know about. This issue was resolved the same day.

I have not had a chance to unpack the columns and inspect closely, but I couldn't be happier with the efficiency of order placement and delivery. I had a very professional, courteous salesperson. The ability to order high quality products with such ease has made building our first home much less intimidating
The chat feature was very helpful and the customer rep was great. The price was reasonable. We have not yet installed the columns they are still in the boxes so I cannot comment on the quality or if they were damaged in shipping.
Great product but shipping was very slow. When ordered I was told product was in stock and would ship in a day or and arrive in 5 to 7 days. 12 days later, when I called, product had not been shipped yet. When it was shipped no order number was given on the ship message. The tracking numbers were stacked so an error message would always come up when I tried to track the order. Finally went to FEDEX tracing site and entered the numbers individually and was able to track the shipment. The product was very well packaged and in perfect condition when received. Good! We have a history of ordering craftsman style columns for porches we build for our customers. Pacific Columns has reference of our ordering history so it makes it easy to ask for them again with no problems. It ships in 5 to 10 days, and we have received them in a weeks time 99% of the time.

I like the quality of the columns and the customer service that I received from Elizabeth was off the charts wonderful. The time it took to get the columns seemed a little longer than I am accustomed but overall I am very happy with them.
Customer service was good. However we were told that ordering in South Florida on Thursday we would receive the order the following Thursday. We did not receive the order until Monday. That was very disappointing after being told we would receive the order in a week & waiting an extra 4 days. But the product looks good so far. Beautiful improvement.
My second experience with Pacific Columns was just as excellent as my first experience. Staff are all knowledgeable, amiable and efficient. The products are excellent and th scheduling is realistic yet accommodates the project schedule.
I will continue to use Pacific Columns as my go-to column company.
Salesman and customer service people were professional. When part of our order didn't arrive, then arrived broken, the customer service people were good. It took much longer for the last part of the order to arrive and we had to keep following up; they didn't contact us with information about when it had been shipped or give us a tracking number so we could track it ourselves.
I received the columns timely and in okay condition. However, did not get the installation kit nor was I told I needed to order the kit. Still have not gotten a call back when I called to inquire about this.
The overall experience was great. We were assisted by Elizabeth, Garrett and Cody.
The small part of our order was delivered very fast and the product looks as pictured.
We will provide more feedback after our major order is delivered.
I worked with Andrew Gonzalez, he assisted me on picking the correct columns for my application. Very helpful and pleasant to work with. I was kept in the loop when my shipment was to be shipped and even received a picture of my skid of materials. FedX delivered within a three hour window as promised.
My son and I installed the Columns and look great!
