Great christmas present for him. It arrived way after then expected but it was all worth it thank you so much.
I put an order in for my granddaughters birthday (1-28-24, she is having a party that day)... her dad passed away 3 weeks after she was born. My daughter loves pictures and has struggled with not having many photos of baby and dad together. I had a great idea, Paint My Life. I had other family members use them and I loved their paintings, plus the reviews were great, I thought it would be a win-win situation, not so. The artist and I went through many edits and it had me feeling uneasy, but after the final edit, I figured, nothing's perfect, and it looked good. Well today I received the painting, I had a "Happy 1st Birthday Princess, Daddy loves you" message written on the painting. In person it looked like a 5 yr old wrote it, and it looks like princess is spelled "prineess" on the painting; instead of prin'CE'ss, it says prin'EE'ss ( the artist made an error and didn't correct it); the c looks like an e, and the handwriting is awful. I said the artist must've allowed their 3yr old relative to show his work because there's no way a real artist wrote that. I was so disappointed. I contacted Paint my life, they offered to allow me to send it back and have another artist redo it, but I need it by 1/28/24 for my granddaughter's BIG event! He said that wouldn't be possible. I was offered a partial refund, was put on hold to see how much (the words on the painting destroyed the' entire painting). With a "fair" partial refund, I planned to find a local artist to fix the wording. I paid almost $600 for my painting (including the frame), the rep came back and offered me a $40 or $45 partial refund, a slap in the face. I declined and requested an entire refund and opted to send it back. I am so disappointed. I really wanted to surprise my daughter and my granddaughter, as well as my son in laws family and friends (over 200 people were invited), there's no way I would present a painting with such sloppy writing. I honestly can't believe an artist looked at it and said "this is okay." I almost feel like I'm being punished for requesting so many edits (because of my dissatisfaction). Now I have to send it back and find something else meaningful for my grand girl's birthday gift.
Very well the recipient was very pleased with their portrait thank you very much
The painting was perfect. It's like they were all posing for the camera.
Amazing - brought as a gift for grandparents
Their parents with the grandchildren they didn't get the chance to meet.
I was skeptical at first but I decided to give this a try and was really thrilled with the result. The artist really captured the moment in the picture.
Customer service was great. There was communication every step of the way. The process was simple and the end result is that my fiancé loved his portrait of him with his mom.
This was a precious very special gift for my mom. The artist did a phenomenal job in capturing the details I wanted to make this as memorable as it could be. This is my third purchase and certainly won't be the last.
If I could give Zero Stars I would. I've reached out to this company over 20 times through email, chat, and phone. They received over $600 for an oil painting I still did not receive. My order contained one minor modification (adding glasses) that took three weeks to get an update for. No Christmas gift, then promised for New Year. Still don't have it and no communication. BEWARE.
I got my daughter a picture of her and her father (that passed this year in November) and her reaction was the best! She loved the picture and it captured the love that they shared. I loved it so much :)
Really well done painting of our dog! The changes requested were the wonderful extra touch!
It's been 10 years since we had a charismas with my grandma and having this portrait done was my way of bringing us together again. My mum absolutely loved it!
Amazing quality and such a beautiful piece of art we will cherish forever
Artist was very thorough. My mom loved it. She cried like a baby. The only downfall that I didn't pay attention to was the shirt on my dad was changed and my mom said he never wore button down shirts. So it was something I didn't notice.
My mom absolutely LOVES and ADORES the painting. Having a painting of her mother who passed almost 30 years ago with her and her children as adults was something she never thought she'd see and you made it happen. The painting was so beautiful it looks like a picture someone took. Thank you so much for giving this to her

Answer: They advertise that you can send them photos of people now past. They advertise these large paintings with beautiful frames being unpackaged. It is a lie. I started my order on November 10 and it took three months to complete. First because they would not sell me a large canvas like they show on their website. Secondly because they no longer sell anything except the smallest frames; yet the continue to advertise and list prices as if they do. Multiple email and phone calls resulted in no honesty from these people. If they had just come out and said "We don't sell those sizes of paintings and frames anymore" I could have moved on. After 60 days your money is their money even if you have nothing to show for it. You are expected to know their jobs better than they themselves do and act accordingly. Phone calls are outsourced to a call center out-side of the U.S. The people answering are nice, respectful and do a great job at making think there is no problem. At the end of the phone call, you feel better and NOTHING has changed. I finally received my painting in a tube. I did not get what I paid for and am unable to easily find a company that will frame original artwork for less than a few hundred dollars. I cannot hang my painting; it is in a closet. They advertise large frame and list prices but they do not sell them. You CANNOT buy what they advertise! In fairness the artiest did a wonderful job. It is the lies of the company that prompted me to report them to the BB and every online site I can and will find both private and governmental in nature. Don't let these people steal from you.
