UPDATED REVIEW: Originally, I was not happy with the delays in the delivery of my daughter's furniture and although I did have to wait longer than expected, the situation turned out well. After discussing my frustrations further with the customer service rep that contacted me from this original review, things went very smoothly. She helped watch my order and keep me informed of what was going on. She also added some perks for the inconvenience. The delivery team was fantastic and the quality of the bed and bedding is excellent. I've ordered from Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids in the past, and I know they are working on fixing some bugs with their communications regarding orders. I think they will get it all worked out and it will be great again. Because of the high quality products, I would definitely recommend shopping here.
Stolen money. Stolen time. No one from actual management will address the many attempts to discuss what they have put our family through. My son waited for a 3K bed with a guaranteed delivery date before the end of November. In December it was "in transit" and then canceled by the company once in route…and after us staying home to receive the item which never arrived! Hours on the phone with people who do not care, whitewashing the situation and taking no responsibility and now here we are in late January with no bed AND no refund provided yet. I will never again do business with Pottery Barn or any affiliated company. It's disgusting beyond measure what they have put our family through and the greatest insult is that the people who can do something are hiding behind their desks pawning off all necessary communication to the underlings. By the way, if you work for them, you should go to any other company for your own personal health. What a disgrace.
PBTeen is unable to keep the items it sells in stock. They will give you delivery dates at purchase, but you cannot rely on them. They will change and add further delays constantly. Delays are many months!
I am glad I did buy anything from them and will not do. Last night I added 3 items to my shopping card at one price, but never checked out, this morning I went back to finish my purchases, and what did I find? Prices on all my three items in a shopping card went up by 35 dollars, but wait for it... they added 25% coupon on every purchase that would basically bring me to the same price it previously was, but not really, because I had 15% off for signing up with my email that I could of use it when prices were not jacked up. What a joke!
I ordered multiple things from Pottery Barn Teen this past Christmas and will never do it again. Things which were available at the time of purchase became back ordered so I had to scramble to find a replacement. Those with a December or January back order date became a June back order date without notice. The shower curtain we ordered came with the correct letters but the letters were on their side so unusable. The quality of the items that we did receive was very good and my daughter loves them. But we could have used Wayfair for similar items and the experience would have been much easier. When I called customer service I had to wait awhile in the queue but the customer service representative, Stephanie, was fantastic. She is the only reason for the two stars and not one.
I wanted to leave a positive review and, although phone staff made a serious effort to help, supervisor did not support my return of $70 bean bag cover in spite of my purchasing 3 bean bags ($600) and wanting to purchase a different bean bag cover. Final purchase. NO EXCEPTIONS! Not any single exception possible. You would think as a large company they would be generous. Not even close. Overpriced, not exceptional in any way. Never getting my business again.

Apparently, my sofa is being held hostage in the warehouse. For two weeks I have been trying to arrange delivery of my furniture. Every time I call customer service, I am transferred a million times. And then only to be told that the exact location of my sofa isn't known, and "leadership" will take a look at the order and call me back within 48 hours. Noone have ever called me back. R
Right now I am on hold (35 minutes and counting), waiting for the rep to make some mysterious call to somewhere. If that turns up no answers, then she will call me back within 48 hours. I am so frustrated with this company. This will be my last order with them.
I bought a futon for my daughter's room. It looked so good in the picture. When I received it, first of all, it is extremely heavy, it is supposed to convert into bed easily. 2. When shaped as a couch, the mattress does not stay in place. I have to keep adjusting it on top of the frame at all times but just in minutes is down to the floor again. And, lastly, it was so expensive for the service I am getting from it. On top of that, I see that now is $200 less than what I paid. Never again PB products.
I purchased two Classic Metro Blackout Metro Shades a couple of years ago for my son's bedroom. Recently, one of the shades stopped locking so I was unable to pull it down and have it stay down. I called PB Teen to try and get some guidance as to how to fix the mechanism.
I spoke with two customer service representatives both of whom told me that since it was over 30 days they could not help me. I explained I was not looking for a refund or return, I was just looking to speak to someone about the product. Both reps were extremely rude and refused to transfer me to anyone, even a supervisor.
Now, I am unable to fix the blind because no one at PB will help me and I am certainly not going to replace the blind. I will wait and replace both blinds from a reputable company that stands behind their window coverings.
Pottery Barn's products and customer service are way below par and frankly inexcusable. Go elsewhere!
Ordered new backpacks and lunch boxes for my three daughters. Order came in as white bedding instead. Called customer service. Those backpacks are now unavailable and they had to re-pick objects they didn't want. Won't offer a discount and justified it by saying they would rush order it instead. Won't reorder from here.
Ordered a bag from this company that was damaged during shipping. The shipping company, FedEx, stated the damage and immediately shipped it back to them before ever even reaching me. I NEVER got an email it was returned, nor one that a refund was being processed. I had to call their terrible customer service and request the refund. So basically, had I not of followed up, they would have kept the cash and walked away. Terrible company.

The worst online shop! Their customer service is also horrible! I ordered 2 customized water bottles for my kids. It was showing 3 days shipping, but almost it's 2 weeks it's not coming yet! Moreover, in an email every day it's showing it will come the next day! My kids come from school and asked about their water bottles but they are regularly disheartened to listen the answer is no! Now I am waiting for my refund!
This is the worst customer service I have ever experienced. I returned a beanbag to the Durham, NC, store. They said I would receive my refund to my credit card within 3-5 days. That didn't happen. I called customer service, and the woman I talked to said she would process the return. I kept checking, and my account has not been credited 2 weeks later. So two days ago I completed the online form for customer service outlining everything that had happened. It says you'll hear back from them within 48 hours. Nothing. I am fuming. I can't believe I am out almost $200 and I feel so helpless about getting it back.
I called the customer service line that was answered by a west elm agent to find out why my package was delayed. She couldn't be more unhelpful and when I asked why it was slow considering I paid $35 for shipping (where most retailers would've included it) she audibly laughed and hung up. Worst call experience ever and now I see these reviews it's obvious I'm not alone. What a joke.
Beware of this company. Returns and refunds will be your expense so make sure you are 100% positive that you want the item before purchase because you will pay for changing your mind. Customers are NOT a priority and satisfaction is for their benefit only.
Recently, I just purchased the Emily & Meritt
Bow Mirror. It was damaged when it arrives. There are rust on it, so I returned it and asked for a replacement. The second one just arrived today but the bow does not fit in. It scratches the mirror :( I really like this mirror but I'm tired of returning it again. Still considering to return it or just keep it (even though there's damage).

Purchased a Papasan lounge chair that looked nice on the website. The base of the chair came within a week. The cushion, after contacting the company twice) came after 30 days from date of ordering it. I was happy to receive it only to find out that it was defective in a big way, so not usable at all. On-line Pottery Barn Teen has a nice look but the merchandise is very low quality. The company appears to have no soul and only interested in your dollar but unable to deliver quality. I received no communication whatsoever about the delay of the order and have to spend hours in chats and on the phone to schedule a return. One of the worst experiences in e-commerce ever. Please don't purchase from pottery barn teen. My rating for this company is zero.

I bought a set of pillowcases from PB Teen. They are beautiful, but after one wash they feel like cardboard. The quality is extremely low, and I found it odd that PB Teen does not display customer reviews of their products.
Ordering from any of these affiliated companies - Pottery Barn, PBTeen, PBKids, William Sonoma, West Elm, etc. All of them are truly terrible. Most recently tried to order from PBTeen using college student 15% discount. Discount would not work online so had to do telephone order. Took two calls of an hour each. Then told the bookshelf not in stock until Dec or Jan. It's August. Wth. Ordered $800 rug two years ago from West Elm. Spilled water on it, ruined the rug. WATER. What kind of joke is this. Do not buy any viscose rug. West Elm & all these affiliated companies do not have online reviews for a reason. Found out customers at CB had same issue -- difference is they were allowed to write reviews warning other customers of defective rugs & many got money back. After the rug experience I never wanted to order from them again, but teen needs desk now since all classes online. Necessary evil and never again.
Wish there were negative stars to give pbteen! This is absolutely the worst company customer service possible. I placed a personalized laundry bag on 11/22/20 to be delivered 12/03-04/20. On 12/14/20 I received an email from payment source I would be receiving a refund. There had been no communication about backorder or cancellation. Nothing like disappointing your kid with their #1 item on their Christmas list. And now no time to order something else.
Beware when ordering furniture items, lounge items or anything that may take longer than standard shipping.
My daughter wanted a futon sofa from pottery barn teen for Christmas. I ordered it at the beginning of November. Delivery Dec 4.
December 4th called customer service and was told parts were backordered until Feb and May. So Pottery Barn has no intention of letting me know that my daughter was not getting this gift for Christmas. Complete scam. They make you believe you will receive your order on time but really there is a huge amount of items that are back ordered and they DO NOT let you know until you have paid in full and made the order.
I have ordered many pieces of furniture over the years and have had similar issues. Shame on me for being a loyal customer. Terrible service and dishonest.
Ordered a Ravenclaw water bottle for my girlfriend on September 1st, 2018. After a month of seeing constant delays and date changes, I get an email acknowledging that the item was late (no kidding!) and suggestions of other items I could order instead (and presumably wait months for without ever receiving). Never ordering from this sham of a website again!
Pottery Barn Teen failed to deliver bedroom furniture. Waited months and never received the items I purchased. Customer service was terrible. They stated 2 of the 3 pieces were at the delivery center, but the third was probably on a freight truck that hadn't been unloaded or still in transit from who knows where. I needed all 3 pieces for the bedroom set. No apology or discount despite the delays after delays. Horrible. Shop anywhere else. They don't deliver the goods!

I bought a $75 hat rack that but by the time it arrived I no longer wanted it so I returned it unopened. PB teen, at not point said that I would have to pay for shipping. But once they got the item back, only returned $45. I contacted them and they said the difference was for shipping. $30! At not point during the buying process of the return process was this ever mentioned. Total Scam! And they got my name wrong in the correspondence - calling me Nicole but my name is Bernadette. The worst customer service.
I just received the PB Teen, Blaire tall dressers. With tax and delivery fee, I paid over $1,000. Wow, I wish that I had done some homework beforehand. It is beyond cheap, horrible, disappointing quality - wow, unbelievable rip off. Worse than IKEA furniture quality... :( I would like to give -10 stars, if I can, compare to its price
We spent over $300 on two bean bag chairs for holiday gifts for our two children. They came in several shipments for the inserts and covers. One was nice, the other made of a cheap paper that smelled like chemicals from a shipping container. When I called, their phone number is nonworking. The store said no problem, bring the one in and we'll replace. But when we got there, they said oops sorry no replacement, but feel free to send it back. No one is able to "make it right" - very disappointed.
