UPDATED REVIEW: Originally, I was not happy with the delays in the delivery of my daughter's furniture and although I did have to wait longer than expected, the situation turned out well. After discussing my frustrations further with the customer service rep that contacted me from this original review, things went very smoothly. She helped watch my order and keep me informed of what was going on. She also added some perks for the inconvenience. The delivery team was fantastic and the quality of the bed and bedding is excellent. I've ordered from Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids in the past, and I know they are working on fixing some bugs with their communications regarding orders. I think they will get it all worked out and it will be great again. Because of the high quality products, I would definitely recommend shopping here.
Stolen money. Stolen time. No one from actual management will address the many attempts to discuss what they have put our family through. My son waited for a 3K bed with a guaranteed delivery date before the end of November. In December it was "in transit" and then canceled by the company once in route…and after us staying home to receive the item which never arrived! Hours on the phone with people who do not care, whitewashing the situation and taking no responsibility and now here we are in late January with no bed AND no refund provided yet. I will never again do business with Pottery Barn or any affiliated company. It's disgusting beyond measure what they have put our family through and the greatest insult is that the people who can do something are hiding behind their desks pawning off all necessary communication to the underlings. By the way, if you work for them, you should go to any other company for your own personal health. What a disgrace.
While ordering and scheduling the delivery was easy, the bed that arrived was subpar.
For this expensive bed, the drawers don't have soft close mechanism. If you are buying for young children, they will not be able to open the drawers on their own. Drawers are also unremovable. Overall bad quality and very disappointing.
Never again will I order from Pottery Barn Teen. I ordered a chair for my grandson on May 22nd and was told it would take 7 to 10 days. Never came. Then said it would be June 10th... never came... then said July 10th... never came... then to top it all was told it was shipped July 9th and would be here in 7 to 10 days. It still never came. When I called today they said it never had been shipped and have no idea what is going on. Not a real helpful answer. They offered to cancel it with no suggestions of other chairs that might work or offer for compensation. I cancelled because I am tired of dealing with them but now my grandson never got his birthday gift. I am done with ever ordering anything from them again!
After swearing a couple of years ago to never order from PB again, I stupidly ordered two covers and two pillows for grandchildren for Christmas. The pink cover came right away. Then I got a notice that the navy cover was backordered, but would be delivered between Dec 12 - 14th. No I have a notice that the navy cover will not be delivered until between Dec 24 and Dec 28. Then I got a notice that they pillows are backordered until after the first of the year. Swearing them off again and I intend to stick to it this time.
I ordered a bed on sale on a Monday morning at 10am. By 2 pm the next day I received an email stating that they had made a mistake and my ordered was canceled. They said it was due to a "typographical error" and they could not honor the price they had listed and I had paid for. In return they offered 10% off a full price bed. Thanks guys.
Ordered a sheet set June 5th, wasn't backordered, said 3-5 day shipping, the shipping date is continually bumped back, now at August 2nd. They randomly charge your account without warning when it's ready to ship. When I contacted customer service asking for an additional discount because I had to buy another sheet set since the delay is so LONG or future discount they said there was nothing they could do. Horrible customer service, will never order from here again. If my son didn't have his heart set on the NHL sheets, I'd cancel my order entirely.

I bought a desk for my kids' virtual school/homeschooling in June. When I bought it, it said it was backordered till September. Fine, I thought, we can manage until then. When September came, the date was changed to October, then November, then December. In January, I finally called Pottery Barn, and they said, oh, it's waiting to schedule delivery. So I scheduled the delivery for February 11,7 1/2 months after I ordered. However, it's February 11, and guess what? It's not being delivered today. There was a problem with part of the order and when I called Pottery Barn, there's no estimate as to how long it will take. We now have bets going that the school year will end before I get my desks. Uggghhh! Such a nightmare! I was going to order a bed from them, but now, no way!
We purchased a PBTeen dresser four months ago for our daughter's bedroom. We were told by PBTeen's delivery team the off-gassing of the furniture would disappear in 2-3 days.
Four months later, it is still emitting a STRONG TOXIC ODOR. The inside of the drawers smell exactly like Formaldehyde.
My daughter frequently wakes up with runny noses and headaches after sleeping in the room overnight. It is apparent this furniture was not made appropriately in Vietnam. PBTeen Customer Service has not been responsive on this matter after contacting them several times.
For anyone who has purchased their Chelsea line of furniture or dresser, I'd strongly encourage you to make sure it has stopped off-gassing and emitting formaldehyde fumes before you put your family's health at risk.

Always have nice things but my mom ordered something for me 3 weeks before christmas. It was expensive too, $500! They promised her it would be here before christmas and it literally still has not come and its January 10th. She called them december 27th and asked where it was and it was very sketchy and they didnt call her back like they said. She then called again the next day and they were rude and all they did was waive the shipping and said it would be there in a few days. STILL has not come!
Ordered an item from pottery barn. Was told free shipping if it's over $99. When I got to the screen to pay, it asked me how I wanted to pay. I chose Venmo and it automatically charged my card, and I got a thanks for your order! I didn't even know how much the total was until after. There's no way I missed it, I was ordering from my tiny phone screen. I realised I wasn't given the chance to even type in the promo code for the free shipping, or even told how much taxes would be. (and the shipping is expensive) I immediately tried to go cancel the order and resubmit it, but was told customer service was done for the day, and to call the next morning. I called as soon as I got up, and was told it was too late, order was already being prepared to ship. Well, now we are two days later and it is still "preparing to ship". When I try to reach out to customer service, they don't want to help you, they just respond with condescending answers and treat their customers like crap. Don't ever buy from them, I wish I never had. I've been a good customer to them too. They don't care.
Terrible, cheap quality! Not worth the $$. Took two months to receive and then style was completely changed from description and picture... no buttons or trim.
I ordered the cushy piped trim sectional and the shipping was 2 months but i thought it was worth it. I was really excited for this couch in my first apartment and thought it was worth the wait. One month rolls around and i double check the shipping as I am eager to see how soon it will come, just to find out it was pushed out another two months. At this point, i have gone 4 months of my lease with out a couch. Very frustrated and customer service had nothing to tell me or nothing to help me out with. It has now been pushed back another two months. I am assuming it is because of COVID and the wildfires, still, very frustrating. I know this is probably out of their hands but this is the only couch I could find that I was obsessed with. I cant find anything like it anywhere else for the price they offered.
The item I ordered for a Christmas gift did not come in its entirety. Multiple calls and attempts to receive the full item resulted in a return process for a refund, since the entire item was never even in stock. I was able to reach someone to schedule a UPS pickup so the driver could scan the printable code and prevent me from driving over an hour and a half to accomplish this. When I contacted customer service AGAIN to ask for a label to be mailed or a new UPS time for pickup I was hung up on! I am now on hold AGAIN and if anyone picks up I'll be shocked. Hours and hours into this to make it right and they still have all of my money for a sham item listing!
I ordered an item an item Dec. 6, indicated it would ship on the 18th. I get an email on 20th saying it is no longer available. In the email is the phone number to call for other options that will ship immediately. I call and am on hold 30 minutes. Rep says this phone number is for Pottery Barn and not PBTeen. Can't you even supply the correct phone number in your email? I am then transferred and on hold for 45 minutes. You have lost a customer.

We ordered 2 beds that were supposed to be here in November and we're scheduled for delivery today 4/20/23 when they got her they were missing three pieces of the beds and wouldn't even bring the pieces they brought upstairs like they were supposed to make things worse this was also for a client whose 2 children have been sleeping on a mattress on the floor due to a bedroom remodel since November I hope this entire company goes out of business I will never use them again
If I could give zero stars I would! I ordered a flannel duvet cover and shams. Received duvet cover but no shams. Shams sent and then I discovered the duvet was percale not flannel. After much promises, delayed shipping, and zero accountability from PBT, I mailed percale duvet cover back and canceled ordered. Then re ordered flannel cover... received percale again. After talking to numerous customer service people and three supervisors, one revealed that they have it in their system that there is a " fabric issue!" So... they are advertising flannel, but shipping out percale duvet covers! They promised a manager would contact me... None did!
Unless you don't mind waiting a few months for your product, I wouldn't order! I don't understand how they advertise certain pieces yet they don't have them in stock! Them they continue to lie about the "delivery date" It CHANGES EVERY WEEK! They push up the delivery date by weeks at a time! I ordered a bed in June 2017. It's now September and nothing received! Now they pushed the delivery date up to the end of this month! Just save yourself the stress and DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! Yeah their stuff is pretty and cute but it's just a horrible company with horrible customer service skills!

They never shipped my order and even though it was supposedly in the process if being packaged and shipped out there was nothing they would do to expedite it to me after already waiting a month. They also cudnt tell me where it was coming from or why it wud take another month to get to me if it was shipping out today. I see why pottery barn teen had such bad reviews... I should. Have read them before ordeing. I thought pottery barn was a quality company... I wonder if I can expect the same horrible service from all pottery barns or just pottery barn teens.

I have gotten nothing but run around. I am still waiting for parts to a bed that was partially delivered 3 months ago. No one knows anything. No one is helpful. It's really the strangest thing.
I ordered an expensive comforter & shams back in April. Delivery quote said I'd get them by late April. Well, it's now late June and they just moved my delivery to late JULY! On top of that, they continually put through a charge on my debit card, then deleted it, then charged it, then deleted it... which makes for a nightmare regarding balancing my checking account. I WILL NEVER ORDER FROM THEM AGAIN!

While in Ohio staying with my 97 year old mom, I order a lap desk for her which did not work out. When I returned to North Carolina, I returned it to Pottery Barn Teen for a refund. Rather than refund me the money, THEY RE-SENT THE EXACT SAME ITEM TO OHIO! So now, I will need to somehow get back to Ohio from North Carolina to get it while Corona Virus restrictions are still in place. Any other company would have sucked up their mistake and just refunded my money and said don't bother to return the second one.
I ordered a school backpack for my daughter back July 4th they said will have it delivered in 2 weeks after that time has gone they sent me an email saying backordered between August 19th-23rd. Then they sent me another email saying it's arriving August 16th nothing was delivered yesterday. You request to speak with a manager they put u on hold for an hour with no avail. Very dissapointed that my daughter started her school with her old backpack. And still waiting.
This is probably the worst purchase I've ever made. I bought this as a gift for my daughter, It did not arrive on time, and when it finally did, it came in 3 separate deliveries (on 3 different days). When it didn't arrive on the expected delivery day, I contacted Customer Service - numerous times. It was a complete nightmare (with the exception of a representative named Dorcas). No one knew where the order was, and all but one promised to call me back and NEVER did. JI was guaranteed delivery by a certain date 3 times and it never came, We finally received the sectional last week and it's HORRIBLE. While it seems to be well constructed, It is the most uncomfortable thing I've ever sat on. $400+ for a complete piece of garbage. It feels like a cheap styrofoam stuffed animal, not to mention that it crunches when you sit on it. I took 3 days off of work expecting deliveries that never showed up. I spent hours on the phone with customer service, Now I'm stuck with a $400+ sectional that my dog won't even lay on. The thought of spending more hours on the phone with customer service to try to rectify the situation makes me ill. I should have known when there was nowhere to find a review on it. I put my trust in Pottery Barn, as I have never had a bad experience - until now. Lesson learned.
I placed an order for both of my daughters for furniture for their rooms. The order was over $5000 worth of new furniture (beds, desks, chairs, side tables, etc.). We placed the order in July 2018. Immediately every item was placed on back order despite the website saying there was inventory in stock. After about 1mos of waiting for the items to come off of backorder I decided to call customer service. I picked out all new furniture that I was told was in stock and would arrive sooner. That was on Aug 16th of 2018. I was told the furniture would arrive in Sept., then Oct., then Nov. I called around mid Nov and they told me someone would call me about my order. No one called me and the order was cancelled! I'm going to find someone at the corporate level to share my experience with. I continue to get daily emails and offers and magazines in the mail.
I ordered two luggage bags for my sons at Pottery Barn teen with the initials JEB and JRB and received two bags with JEB. When I called for a replacement, first they told me they could not fix anything engraved, then they told me I could not return the actual bag for a change and then told me the bag was no longer available. They are complete swindlers. As a customer who bought everything for my kids rooms and had them come to my home to decorate, I would expect better service. I will no longer work with them again and will let all that I know their service is a joke as is the company at this point.
