UPDATED REVIEW: Originally, I was not happy with the delays in the delivery of my daughter's furniture and although I did have to wait longer than expected, the situation turned out well. After discussing my frustrations further with the customer service rep that contacted me from this original review, things went very smoothly. She helped watch my order and keep me informed of what was going on. She also added some perks for the inconvenience. The delivery team was fantastic and the quality of the bed and bedding is excellent. I've ordered from Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids in the past, and I know they are working on fixing some bugs with their communications regarding orders. I think they will get it all worked out and it will be great again. Because of the high quality products, I would definitely recommend shopping here.
Stolen money. Stolen time. No one from actual management will address the many attempts to discuss what they have put our family through. My son waited for a 3K bed with a guaranteed delivery date before the end of November. In December it was "in transit" and then canceled by the company once in route…and after us staying home to receive the item which never arrived! Hours on the phone with people who do not care, whitewashing the situation and taking no responsibility and now here we are in late January with no bed AND no refund provided yet. I will never again do business with Pottery Barn or any affiliated company. It's disgusting beyond measure what they have put our family through and the greatest insult is that the people who can do something are hiding behind their desks pawning off all necessary communication to the underlings. By the way, if you work for them, you should go to any other company for your own personal health. What a disgrace.
Received my personalized robe and you can't even see the name and the embroidery threads were not stitched properly. So when I called to talk to customer service rep she said personalized items are final sale and I wouldn't be getting a full refund. I told her I know that but the robe is flawed and damaged and it came that way. We went back and forth for 25mins. Now I'm waiting for a supervisor to call me back in 72hrs. Wow potterybarn you send someone a damaged item and its clearly not what the customer ordered and now I'm fighting for a full refund. I feel ripped off! The top pic is what I thought I was getting and the bottom one is what I received. The other pic is the embroidery stitching on the back. The stitching is also coming out on the front
To start, I've never written an online review. I'm so frustrated and I've talked to 15 different people. No one knows anything and has to keep transferring the call to someone else. I was told I would get a call AND email once my furniture was in to set the delivery date. I did not receive a phone call or email. I've had to call them relentlessly just to get updates on my order. Once I finally got through to furniture delivery, the EARLIEST they could schedule me was 3.5 weeks out. That is simply ridiculous, considering my furniture already got in a month after they said it would.
Also, just for some continuity, I asked the guy I was speaking with if I could speak with him again about the furniture delivery. He gave me his extension to call, and when I called, the girl that answered said that was not a working extension.
This whole furniture order has been unbelievable considering how important customer service is now a days. I will never order from them again. I'm in the process of trying to cancel my current order.
I have been waiting to write this review hoping that one of the friendly-seeming people who pretend they are going to help me actually do help me... This is the first negative review I have ever posted. I should have looked on this website sooner. Ordered a futon and mattress set for my son. No delivery two months later although supposedly the order was at the delivery hub many weeks ago. Every time I try to email I am promised a delivery phone call that never comes. I have tried the social media team and customer service line. They all seem helpless in dealing with deliveries and pass me on to someone else promising me a delivery phone call. They still have my stuff and I am sitting here so frustrating just wanting someone in their company to care enough to actually follow up on my order. It is just sheer uncaring or incompetence, I am not sure which one. Most recently I was told there is a delivery date in their system I was never made aware of and cannot be here to accept. No clue how to get this changed or if it is even real. No one cares and just wants to pass me on to someone else. Today I was told they aren't given enough time to follow-up on customer concerns. For real? Get your furniture elsewhere!
This site "sounds" like a broken record. Abysmal customer service, no response or apathetic response. We had ordered a bedroom set for our son on 12/31/18 with the estimated delivery date of 1/4/19 - 1/18/19. The later date came and went with no contact. When we contacted them, they said there was a problem with the order and they had to re-process the order for the bed and dresser. The delivery people came today, supposedly with the bed, but no idea of when the dresser would be here. When they started unpacking the truck, it was one box that was approximately 48" long by 20: wide by 10" deep - how the hell could that be a bed? Turns out, it was the headboard and footboard only. WTH? My wife is about to lose it and has been on the phone with PBTeen customer service for over an hour. She has asked to speak with a customer service manager the entire time and she got transferred no less than 14 times, told our story no less than 8 times and was hung up on or left on hold for over 10 minutes, five times. Keep in mind, they CHARGED OUR CREDIT CARD over a month ago but still haven't delivered what we paid for. Never again. To everyone, STAY AWAY from Pottery Barn!
After looking for a long time for what I wanted in a storage bed, I finally found what we wanted (Hampton Storage Bed Super Set 2.0). To top it off, I was able to get the bed with a 25-30% discount. But something seemed off- I was trying to find the reviews on the product (like Amazons and other online stores do) and I completely unable to.
I had to go to Google multiple times, trying to find any reviews on the product, or Pottery Barn Teens in general, before I was able to come against about 58 reviews. I've spent about a half hour reading the HORROR stories of others.
I am fortunate that I took the time to look at the reviews, it's taught me a good lesson. If I hadn't taken the time to search for the reviews, I would probably be amongst the unfortunate souls that have had orders cancelled; shipping delayed and experienced TERRIBLE customer service.
Purchased a book bag for my niece paid and everything. I was under the impression it would be delivered with in the next few days. Only to come to find out that they were out of stock. This order wouldn't be available until next year. My opinion if you are out of stock do not allow the customer to check out take their money and then say it wont be available until next year. When i asked for my money back, I kid you not it took a week and 3 days to be refunded. My niece was adamant on getting another bag she liked. Even though going through what I just went through I gave in and got her a bag this was in stock and should've been delivered, and yet to my surprise nothing. My niece has started school and is being way more patient than I am. The estimated deliver was for a Monday and today being Tuesday says that the bag was barely shipped yesterday. These bags are not cheap so i expect a set date delivery not well today we are going to tell you this and tomorrow maybe we will tell you something else. Don't waste your money, time or energy.
I ordered a travel bag and paid for it to be monogramed as a Christmas gift for my grandson. It was more expensive than from other companies and the shipping cost was high but I wanted it to match the suitcase I ordered for him from a different PB branch. They sent a photo of the bag via email on the day it was delivered in November. On Christmas Day he opened a World Map Tapestry - you cannot imagine how ugly it is! I called and they said the travel bag had been delivered to the wrong person and although that person had returned it, they had no idea where it was AND I could no longer order one. A refund is NOT what I had in mind since I had specifically ordered from PB Teen to purchase matching bags. I will avoid Pottery Barn Teen at all costs AND possibly avoid the other branches of Pottery Barn as well. I will NEVER recommend Pottery Barn Teen - may they go away and soon!
Tip for consumers:
Do NOT order from Pottery Barn Teen. They will NOT get it right or even close.

I was looking for days to buy 2 twin white lofts with storage and desk... My daughters are very picky. After day number 3 we found it... YES WE FOUND IT!. It was perfect, placed them in shopping cart along with a vanity. I dont purchase online much due to I need to see, feel, measure items first... but these are exactly what they are looking for so Im going to take a chance. STOP... LET ME READ THE REVIEWS FIRST... OH NOOOOOO HOW DISSAPPOINTING... Pottery barn MAYBE A FEW bad reviews would be understandable you cant please everybody BUT with this MANY Bad reviews with almost all addressing the same issue... it is a shame it almost sounds Criminal. Reviews go along way. Dont forget your customers are what keep you in business. Sounds like my money would be best spent elsewhere. Back to the drawing board to find beautiful loft beds with another company who actually values their customers.
I'm actually kind of surprised the suite of Williams-Sonoma/PB/etc aren't out of business. For one, near where I live, the brick and mortar barely has anyone in them. Secondly, all of these websites have terrible shipping policies. It's the old school "if you spend more, you pay more! Regardless of weight." They're basically pooling the people who order heavy furniture, with people who order lighter things like bedding, etc. I find that quite ridiculous as almost every online retailer has free shipping over a certain price point, not PAY MORE over a certain price point. For example, over $3000 it's 5%. That's $150. Sure they have random free shipping promos but I paid $14 for a duvet cover and pillow cases to be shipped. I find that distasteful but really liked the pattern and it was on great discount. The kicker is, if you pay for standard shipping, your item won't ship for a few days. The label gets generated, but it waits for pickup by the courier service. Also, unacceptable for $14 when many retailers use 2day ground or for smaller items like duvet covers... USPS priority. I really cannot recommend supporting retailers who are so calculating towards their customers that their profit margins matter so much where they split hairs on making you, the customer, take the burden on shipping costs when this is no longer the practice.
So many issues - where do I start?
My daughter saw some bedroom furniture she liked. It was a $6,000 bed, dresser and headboard set. She used her own money, otherwise I would have not permitted it. The quality didn't come anywhere near the price tag. Maybe $2,000. I understand that in this post-covid insanity things are generally over priced, but for that kind of price point, I expected better. To me, it just feels cheap. It was well packaged - good thing considering the delivery neanderthals... The delivery/assembly staff were woefully equipped. They did not have all the necessary tools to complete the assembly process. My son and I finished the process to avoid having these people back in my home - or anywhere near it. The delivery individual carried the first piece in and damaged the drywall and cornerbead. This will not be an easy fix since the area connects to multiple walls. Where will the painter stop? I have contacted customer service no less that 5 times and have yet to get a response. The furniture was delivered 06/02/2022. I think I should have had a response by now (06/27/2022). Further, there was damage to the yard from the driver. My advise - run away from anything Pottery Barn. The only reason I gave the extra star is that they did offer a 10% credit for the incomplete assembly.

I used to love shopping at pottery barn kids and was happy to see they now have pottern barn teen too! Better for your daughters than your sons though.
I bought the pb teen Folk embroidered duvet cover for my daughter. An expensive Merritt and Emily design. What an absolute joke. I should have sent it back after seeing the thin material and crappy cotton 5 cent tassels on it. But, my daughter liked the design, so we kept it. Bad idea. Within one week, the embroidery had come unstitched in several places. Here we are today. I carefully followed all instructions and washed the duvet. This is a total disappointment. All the embroidery stitching is covered with lint from the fabric and it won't come out. More stitching came undone. The tassels are a tangled mess. I thought by spending so much money on this that I would get quality that would last. Instead, I have a useless, ugly, piece of crap that will go in the garbage. NEVER, EVER think PB teen is selling quality items. It is just a name on a cheap product. They should take this item off their website and catalogs, although I imagine pretty much everything they sell is bad quality. Did I mention it took 4 months to get it? Oh yes, that too. Save your money and buy something cute at Target. You'd be better off.
Signed, Done with Pottery Barn Forever.
I ordered a comforter and sham for my 10 year old granddaughter's Christmas makeover room on October 30th. This was the main present from me. From the start it said this was backordered until 12/13. I shop early to avoid worrying about things, so this made me nervous from the start, and I checked frequently to see if there were changes. I WAS STUNNED AND IN TEARS when on December 5th they changed the date to January 18! How incredibly insensitive to have this on their website the entire time between when I ordered it, and when they said estimated delivery would be January 18th. The person who took my in-shock call could see how sad I was, and allowed me to talk to a supervisor who was just rude. This was ridiculous, life goes on, but NO MORE PBTeen for me! Only happy moment regarding this was cancelling the order. Way to be Bah Humbug, PBTeen!
Forget about ordering furniture! You will never get it! They must outsource from outer space. My daughter has been waiting for her bed for 3 months! No word... no bed...
I ordered something on December 30 2020 and the estimated shipping has been changed 3 TIMES ALREADY! WHAT IS GOING ON? Why in the world will the website show you have items in stocks and ready to buy if it's going to be backordered!? This is misleading because you are just taking my money and not giving me what I ORDERED! SO WHAT SHOULD I DO? GET MY MONEY BACK? LOOKS LIKE IT BECASUE YOUR COSTUMER SERVICE LIED THAT IS WAS GOING TO COME ALREADY.
Tip for consumers:
I don't trust buying from here anymore. My first time buying with pottery barn teen and it was awful. Still waiting for my items.
How does a company who has a handful of store locations throughout the U.S. (and therefore no ability for people to touch and feel its products) have such an abominable - not an overstatement - shipping and return policy, process, and service? Products may look nice, but unless you are 100% sure you are keeping, DO NOT ORDER. They charge you shipping (oh, you can take advantage of free shipping, but then you can't use any other discounts you may have), then, if you want to return, charge you shipping again. Oh, you say, how about shipping it back on your own dime? They still charge you a percent of the item. And if you return an item, don't expect to get it credited within the same billing cycle. I returned two items that were received SIX WEEKS AGO and have still not been credited. Call customer service, you say? Oh, yes. The least amount of time I have been on hold was 24 minutes. And I have had two agents straight up say they would be right back and have never come off hold. A third said she couldn't hear me when I asked for a supervisor. This is not Walmart. I spent more than $2000 on re-decorating two of my childrens' rooms. Honestly, with all of the time I have spent on chasing the returns, I could have hired a decorator. If there a quarter of a star, you wouldn't have even earned that. I can't cancel my card fast enough once the final credit gets issued.
Bridget! I am so sorry to hear this, and would like to speak with you to help resolve these issues. A private message has been sent to you regarding your post with my contact information. Please review your private messages.
I ordered a chair. It's been a month and I've received no update about when I will get this unbelievably expensive item. I sent a complaint. They sent me a link that doesn't work.
For the second year in a row I have ordered items that are in stock only to find out on my own that said items are backordered. PB never notified me. I found out when I tried to track my order. The delivery date kept being pushed back- again without any notice to me. I had to find this out on my own. The reps could not help me. They said they have no control over shipping and have no additional information to share other than what is written on the website. I find that hard to believe about not having more information but ultimately it does not matter because they did nothing to make the situation better. The worst part is that they are still taking orders on the very item that is on backorder. The website says it's in stock and gives a delivery date. I am thoroughly disappointed with PB. They cannot be trusted. They take people's money without delivering the product in a timely fashion. The reps try to convince you to keep waiting with a possibility of them giving you some credit after you receive your order. I have learned my lesson. DO NOT SHOP AT POTTERY BARN TEEN online. They deserve no stars.
BE AWARE, STAY AWAY FROM THIS SCAM WEBSITE. It was the worst online shopping experience I had all my life.
Ordered a kettle on 9th, Jan which was expected to be delivered on 21th Jan and has not even prepared to ship after a week.
I called customer service and they said it's the date when they will be receiving the product from the importation center! Then why the hell are you showing that day as the expected time to deliver to the customer?
They already knew that and just to get customers they're FALSE ADVERTISING!
They didn't cancel the order even it's not even prepared to ship.
The website itself is impressive but the company is just a gong show.
Again, STAY AWAY FROM THIS COMPANY and don't order anything from here.

DO NOT ORDER FROM THEM! Still waiting on my order from 11/27, worst customer service! Selling items and cancelling 2 weeks later. Way to leave the child without a present! And you still can't event tell me WHERE IS MY ORDER? #thanksfornothing #worstretailer
Hello Kat,
Thank you for your message. We'd like to look into the delay of your order. I have sent you a private message. We look forward to working with you.

I feel like I just ordered something from a click-bait China company. Why can't I get a hold of anyone on the phone to get this straightened out? Why didn't I get what I ordered?
I have placed 4 orders with PB Teen and Kids in the past few weeks to the tune of 4K. Two of the orders have shown up damaged. A lamp was dented and easily replaced. The loft bed I ordered was damaged in 3 places on the drawer unit. The delivery guys told me the replacement would be here in 4 - 5 days as did the customer service agent when I called. Still waiting almost 2 weeks later with the remaining boxes stacked in my garage in the way. As for the chair I ordered that noted "in stock" when I put it in my cart was then reclassified as to "back ordered Feb 23rd" on the order confirmation. I called 2 weeks after the 23rd and was told that 75 chairs were to be received that day and they would ship the following day. Today I was told - no that is incorrect - they won't receive them until next week and my order is scheduled to be fulfilled at that time. I wish I had read these reviews prior to doing business with them. I don't have a clue how they maintain any sort of a reputation. Very, very disappointing. I am getting ready to do a second kiddo's bedroom and definitely will be taking my business elsewhere.
I ordered 2 products from this company and received one. I called customer service (Ipushed the button for customer service) this morning and waited, and waited, and waited and then was disconnected. Then I called and pushed the button for "new orders". Something remarkable happened, they answered right away! So of course they couldn't help me so they put me through to customer service. So I waited, and waited, and waited,,,,, I decided to bake a cake while I was waiting. I put the cake in the oven when "James" from customer service answered my call. He was extremely helpful and found humor in my cake story (which is true) I make a pumpkin cake. Turned out really good in spite of my bad attitude at this point.
I will avoid any pottery barn products in the future if I can help it.
This review does not warrant even one star, except for the fine young man, James (employee # *******. He did a fine job. If I were him I would go to work a company like Costco, Amazon or Target that have exemplary customer service.
Pottery Barns CS sucks.
I ordered an expensive overly priced bookshelf organizer from Pottery barn teen. When I first placed the order the estimated shipping time was during the month of April. Once I ordered it, it changed to a month later or longer. I didn't want to wait that long so the next day I called to cancel it. They told me they couldn't cancel to because it already left to go to the distribution center and I would have to wait until it arrived there to cancel it. Finally it arrived there and I called to cancel it. They told me I waited too long to cancel. I was furious. They finally agreed to cancel the order reluctantly after a explained that I wasn't going to take no for an answer. They said my money would be refunded. Meanwhile I get multiple emails every day asking for me to schedule the delivery. When I finally received my refund, they decided to keep $230 of the over $1,000 I paid for the item. I'm assuming they kept this for shipping but it was never actually shipped to me in the first place. I would like to call them back and tell them something but don't feel like wasting more time. Lesson learned... I will NEVER buy from them again! Buyer beware!
Tip for consumers:
Check their return policy carefully before you buy.

I placed an order but go not " response". I thought it didn't go through so I placed it again... got a response for the second order FOLLOWED by the first order. I sent an email IMMEDIATLEY to customer service explaining the error and please cancel ONE order. ( so they wouldn't have to pay the shipping( it was free ship for me) on something I was going to return to store immediately. I got no reply, both orders were later confirmed and shipped. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE.
