UPDATED REVIEW: Originally, I was not happy with the delays in the delivery of my daughter's furniture and although I did have to wait longer than expected, the situation turned out well. After discussing my frustrations further with the customer service rep that contacted me from this original review, things went very smoothly. She helped watch my order and keep me informed of what was going on. She also added some perks for the inconvenience. The delivery team was fantastic and the quality of the bed and bedding is excellent. I've ordered from Pottery Barn and Pottery Barn Kids in the past, and I know they are working on fixing some bugs with their communications regarding orders. I think they will get it all worked out and it will be great again. Because of the high quality products, I would definitely recommend shopping here.

Stolen money. Stolen time. No one from actual management will address the many attempts to discuss what they have put our family through. My son waited for a 3K bed with a guaranteed delivery date before the end of November. In December it was "in transit" and then canceled by the company once in route…and after us staying home to receive the item which never arrived! Hours on the phone with people who do not care, whitewashing the situation and taking no responsibility and now here we are in late January with no bed AND no refund provided yet. I will never again do business with Pottery Barn or any affiliated company. It's disgusting beyond measure what they have put our family through and the greatest insult is that the people who can do something are hiding behind their desks pawning off all necessary communication to the underlings. By the way, if you work for them, you should go to any other company for your own personal health. What a disgrace.

Chandalier advertised at US 229.00 ea on special at US 169.00 ea. We ordered 3 off, however based in Australia, we were transferred to their shipping company Borderfree site owned by Pitney Bowes, where suddenly the chandelier was priced at US $ 283.00 each! Plus Shipping. What a scham, should be reported to the authorities! Two headed buck PB Teen and Pottery Barn keep transferring me to the other. We asked for contact with a manager but only receive reams of junk email. False advertising, is this even legal? I am so disappointed and would still like to have the three chandeliers, at the advertised price plus the shipping fee. Look forward to hearing from you :)

Ordered bedroom suit on Aug 16th, today after 3rd scheduled delivery appointment we still have no furniture. One time they pulled up, started to unload and then reloaded and left... never even knocked on our door. Today I lost it, went off on multiple people and eventually just cancelled my order. This was by far the worst experience I have ever had with any retailer. I will never be back. They are most incompetent retailer from a supply chain and logistics standpoint that have ever come across.

Buyer beware, don't let their brand recognition fool you.

Pottery Barn Teen experience was bad. Basically visited the store in costa mesa, they basically placed the order online for us while in the store they separated the order when we specifically said to ship as one. We found out color and look wasn't going to work, tried to correct it by changing this out overall nothing worked out so returned most of it before anything was shipped. Anyways the returning agent assured me that all would be refunded and turns out I was shorted $200 due to internal shipping between hubs. Not a big deal if they had let me know previously but anyways. Products at pottery barn are way over priced their customer service is bad and the attitude on these agents... anyways never gonna purchase from Potterybarn and the likes. Got a better product from Crate and Barrel for like a 1/4 of the price so definitely disappointed with this whole experience with PB.

Tip for consumers:
Pottery Barn crap is all bulky and over priced. I guess if your room is big and you have cash to burn it is a great place to buy but I am glad i got a partial refund. I got my kids stuff at crate and barrel for 1/4 of the cost and for the same price I even got a new bed for myself.

Products used:
None. The colors and all didnt match so it just wasnt worth it. Decided to go another route they would normally refund fully for color which my situation was but because someone put size they wont do the full refund. Just so you know.

I placed an order for a gift for my granddaughter's birthday in early February and paid with a store card. Without ever notifying me they back ordered it so I did not get it when expected. I called them and agreed to not cancel the order and they told me I would get it by March 9. Again I did not get it again without notifying me they placed it on back order until the end of April this time. I cancelled the order and was told that items are not charged until they ship. Now I just want to use the money and be done with them. When I tried to purchase items at W. S. They told me that PB Teen had charged the card so the money was not available. So now almost April I did not receive the gift for my granddaughter and I do not have the refund to buy something else. The most awful customer service I have ever experienced.

I purchased the Emily & Meritt Bed Of Roses Comforter, Twin/Twin XL, Black/Ivory last year. It went in a guest room untouched this whole time. A few days ago I figured it was time for a wash. I followed the washing instructions on the label *exactly, and being a such large item it was washed completely alone. To my dismay when I pulled it out of the washer the black dye had bled all over the comforter! I contacted customer service telling them I wanted this made right as there's no excuse. Their response was that the order is too old for them to do anything at all. I spent several thousands redecorating this room with PBT products and will never shop there again. There's no way they didn't know this dye was not colorfast. Not to mention they didn't even offer an apology or try in any way to retain future business with me. I'm an interior designer and their horrid customer service will be noted to all customers considering a PB product.

I ordered a back ordered item around Thanksgiving as a Christmas present. The site said that the item would be delivered January 6th, which though after the holidays was fine because the person I was buying for really wanted it and was willing to wait. Then the date was changed to 1/11. Then 1/31. Finally, when it was moved to 2/6 I called to complain. I hadn't been informed of any of these changes, I only discovered them because I kept checking. After several calls, and being hung up on multiple times, wouldn't you know it, they had a shipment that just came in and they'd be able to expedite my order? And all this after paying an exorbitant $14 shipping fee for regular shipping? This company is trash I will never order from them again.

Tip for consumers:
Call, don't email. I emailed first and before receiving a response, I called customer service. I was hung up on twice, but someone was eventually able to help though they were very curt about it. I received an email later saying sorry but there was nothing they could do. So the added pressure of a phone call definitely helps.

I ordered two full sets of the beadboard furniture (dresser, bed, desk) on November 7,2017. These were Christmas gifts. It's 4 months later, I've emailed over 53 times, I've called at least that number, and I still do not have the desks. Once they tried to deliver just the bottom of the desk (file cabinets), another time they tried to deliver just the top, then somehow the desk was damaged in the warehouse while waiting to be delivered to me. We've been told conflicting dates (it's here, no it's not here, we can deliver tomorrow, no we can't, etc.). I work full time, I have to take time off to receive the furniture, it has been a disaster. We have some of the furniture (the beds and dressers), which are indeed beautiful, but the automated system (which never gives updates - I always have to call, speak to someone new, go through the whole story, it's like Groundhog's Day with a bad ending) is awful. Avoid.

What happened to this company? Their backpacks used to be indestructible I even have some from my oldest child that are at least 6 years old and in great condition, this year I ordered anatlas backpack with lunch pail and thermos and paid for the mongram it came with a small rip - the thermos that goes in the side ripped the other side and now there is a big hole in the front. This is the 2nd week of school. Talk about cheap China crap I would have been better off to buy at Wal-Mart.

The main thing my daughter wanted for Christmas was a Gaming Chair and it was the very first gift I purchased this season because of it's importance to my kid. The only reason I purchased it from PB Teen in this particular color was because their website said it was in stock and I would receive it by 5th of December. Today is the 16th of December and every time I track my order, they keep quietly pushing back the date it will arrive. Now they are saying it won't be here until January. If this particular chair was back ordered, I would have appreciated a little honesty so I could have purchased a similar chair from another retailer. Now my daughter won't have her gift to open on Christmas, but hey, they already have my money so why should they care. Calls to their customer service have not been returned.

Have been trying to get a new bedroom set with bed, dresser, nightstand and two chairs delivered for my daughter since June 2021. Dresser was damaged on delivery and had to be rescheduled. They've tried to deliver the bed FIVE times now and each time it has been damaged. One of the chairs arrived poorly packaged and with stains we couldn't wipe out. Worst part is the customer service. The delivery people don't seem to communicate with PB. We have to call PB ourselves to tell them about the damage. They don't have any idea what the other is doing. We finally got bumped up to a PB customer service supervisor who seemed like she would be helpful but then stopped returning emails and phone calls after the last damaged delivery. We have spent so many hours on the phone, waiting for delivery people, sending emails, etc. We used to buy a lot of things from PB but never will again.

I have had two awful experiences with PBteen. The first was last year when i ordered a complete bedroom set of bedding to artwork. The bedding became unavailable after we ordered it, and they would not send the shams. It was a brand new collection and had only been out for a few weeks. Another occurred yesterday and today. I was in love with a vanity and i was going to ask for it for christmas. When i was online to admire it, it said the item was no longer available, and it was a brand new item. This has happened twice now and i absolutely refuse to shop there again.

Ordered full day bed. Brought wrong size twice. Then said they arr out of it. Picked up 2nd wrong bed but still scheuduling pick ups for what they took last week. Still no refund. Love west elm so thought they would be the same. They are not!

I bought a vanity that was supposed to be delivered 60 days from the order date. I was told I could cancel or return the item within 30 days. Figured I would wait but changed my min after reading these reviews. 20 days later I asked to cancel my order, 10 days before cancellation order,
31 days before delivery. I was told there was nothing that can be done and it's on its way and I loose out on 200$ shipping cost. When asked to speak to a manger. I was told there is nothing that could be done. (All the while she is eating on the phone). I said well, do I have to get my credit card company involved? And she hung up..

I ordered a gift card, and realized immediately the shipping address was wrong. Waited on hold for close to an hour, was put on multiple holds while the rep tried to fix the address. She wasn't able to. She told me they would cancel, but I just got an email that didn't work either. Such a simple fix, and so much time spent, and they couldn't correct it. Granted it was my mistake. I will try and get this reversed through my credit card company. What a hassle.

Just received the Holiday 2014 PB catalog today. Called to order the fur back pack for $59 as stated in Catalog, and they said they would not honor the holiday price printed.
Customer service said it was not his fault that the catalog was printed in June.
In my opinion, that is not good a very good practice, nor customer service.
Just remember PB
Bad reviews travel fast.

I ordered a sheet set for my daughter and they sent the wrong sheets. I returned the sheets via UPS and reordered the sheets. Over 2 months later they still have not refunded my money. I have sent several emails with no response and have waited on hold to never get through. I think the IRS needs to investigate.

Been waiting 5+ months for a couch to arrive. I've been sent the wrong tracking numbers 3 different times. Called "customer service" 10x - each time waiting 1.5 hours for someone to answer. They had to submit an order for a replacement couch after they could not locate the first one. Then the replacement one was lost, too. I ultimately had to cancel the entire thing almost 6 months later. THIS PLACE IS AN F-ING DISASTER. Do not order from here.

I ordered the rush the field wall mural for my son for his birthday in October. I have yet to receive the item and hear anything from anyone. Every time I track my order the date is pushed farther and farther out. I order on Sept 23rd and my delivery date is now Dec 25th. I will never ordered from this place again. Just got off the phone with a customer service rep and they are willing to reimburse me $20! After waiting 3 months for my order.

I moved...and I took a very expensive loft bed with me. In the move I lost 2 small pieces of hardware. I contacted PBTeen just to order (at my cost) 2 replacement parts. They said they don't sell or have replacement parts. Mind you in the manual it says to CONTACT PBTEEN for replacement parts. They cant even tell me the darn specs of the little piece I nee so I can order it from a 3rd party. Over 3K for a bed and this is the support they provide. STAY AWAY!

I called to change the size of an order and was told i could not regardless of the fact that i wanted it monogrammed! They said that within 1 hour the suitcase was already monogrammed and at the distribution center, i am expected to believe that?! Do not do any business with this company!

I ordered a bunk bed. The first time it was delivered with a broken rail, so it couldn't be installed and they took all 5 boxes back and ordered a replacement part for the one broken piece. Several weeks later the replacement part comes in and I tell the delivery company TWICE on the phone to be sure to bring ALL 5 boxes. Of course they showed up to install a bunk bed with just 1 box. So I have to schedule AGAIN for them to bring all 5 boxes. This time they brought all 5 boxes, but one of the boxes was the original broken rail! Either they ordered the wrong replacement part or they just sent me all the original boxes again. 3 attempts to deliver the bed, 3 times messed it up. My daughter was so sad. I returned the bed that I was already billed for and had to pay. This whole process was over 2.5 month period. I was on the phone for 45 min trying to get a refund. I have no doubt they will screw up that up too. I'm never ordering from PB Teen again... they are a nightmare!

I was redoing both of my daughter's rooms and ordered the desk blotters that can be personalized. These blotters are $39 and $51 if personalized. I waited for several weeks for them and when they finally arrived they are as flimsy as a piece of paper made out of crappy plastic - one had dents in it and they are the lowest quality items imaginable. The idea of paying this kind of money for an item of such poor quality will keep me from EVER ordering anything at Pottery Barn again. These items cost them $1.50 to make and they are selling for over $100 with tax and shipping. TOTAL RIP-OFF. DO NOT ORDER THESE!

I ordered a sheet set, recived only pillow cases, and I called the customer service # for 5 days in a row, to be put on hold for over 40 mind EACH time! Then when I did get someone she said she cant help me and she is not going to keep me on the line, other customers are waiting, and she can take my # and someone will call me back! Really, cause Im a customer who did not get my order! She took my info and said bye! I have not received a call and I still have no sheets. I also sent an email days ago and have not heard a word! Would NEVER order from here again! Not only bad customer service, but they are theives!

This company is absolutely awful. I ordered a picture at the beginning of October and it shipped the wrong one. I contacted them saying it was the wrong one and said they would send the correct one. Three months later, they claimed that the correct one already shipped. Now, they want us to ship the incorrect one back in order to receive the right picture. What a disaster of a store and terrible costumer service!

I ordered a duvet cover what, similar to what overs described, bled while washing according to instructions. The item is out of stock for 4 months... I called customer service, waited 20 minutes before someone finally answered, she said this needed to be escalated to a manager. I told her I really didn't want to wait another 20 minutes, and she said someone would pick up right away. I was put back in the calling queue, waited 20 minutes until I finally hung up. This is a $150 mistake I will not make again... DO NOT SHOP AT POTTERY BARN!
