I'm amazed at how poorly run a long established business is. After several attempts at fixing the same problem, we are waiting once again for the "parts" and appointment. Problem is no one knows what's going on. Babies in the background when you call service. Tell me my dishwasher and stove is on the ticket yet my refrigerator is the problem! Parts are in yet there not in! Bottom line, no one knows and no one cares.
I have an extended warranty on my LG refrigerator. I have been without an operating refrigerator/freezer for over 6 weeks. Three attempts to repair the unit have all failed. They have no idea what is wrong and when I call customer service they could care less. I wonder how long would any executive at PC Richards do without a refrigerator? I am disappointed and disgusted with the service I have received to date.
I bought a washing machine I was gonna pay cash but I wanted to build my credit so I took this loan with the PC rich card pay monthly and I agree to pay $50 a month because by the end of two years this washing machine will be paid and now PC riches was taking only whatever they want it so now I'm left with a $440 bill And I have to pay it by the end of this month or I get interest of $100 that's not fair to the customer when you agree on something $50 a month and PC Richards doesn't take the responsibility of taking the $50 a month it's not cool because then the customer is being Lie to I only did this because I was able to pay $50 for two years then at the end of the two years the representative was telling me that all I had to do was pay $40 not 440 no that's not good for the customer I need someone to help me with this because it's not what I agreed to

Just went to Patchogue PC Richards for a washer and dryer. I always ask for Jimmy. He is always very knowledgeable about the products and is very helpful. He is also a really nice guy!
Is there a ZERO star?! It's been 3 1/2 weeks since I placed my order and still nothing. They originally noted 1-2 days to ship, now they are out of stock and said 2 weeks. It's been over the 2 weeks and they said 2 more weeks, then he said they didn't know when they would be in, but they would "email me when they arrive". It sounded as if he had no idea when/and/if they would ever be getting them. I noticed the price went up on their website an additional $30, so I hate to cancel my order now. I just want my camcorder people! Geez, I'm missing all of my baby's "first's" because of this.
Probably worth the extra $ to just buy elsewhere. Oh, I did get the call from them originally saying they had to speak with me to verify the order before it could ship, and nothing was mentioned of it being out of stock... it was basically a call to try and sell me the accessories. When I declined, I feel like he got kind of rude with me. Same guy answers every time.
Just don't even bother with these people, they don't deserve our $, and we don't deserve their cr*ppy service and frustration.
I am completely appalled by the lack of accountability by PC Richard & Son. I was referred here by friends who said they had a great warranty program (extended service protection plan). I typically have never bought extra warranty for appliances cause I have never had issues with ANY of my appliances for being a home owner for 20 years! I bought the Bertazonni Range and it has barely worked for 2 years! For 2 years their service company has come out to TRY fix my range and they keep telling me my range needs to be deemed non repairable... I AM STILL waiting for someone to deem my NON WORKING range to be NON REPAIRABLE. I will NEVER use this company again! HORRIBLE experience.
Installer broke my sink during installation of dishwasher. I had to call plumber which PC Richard's will not reimburse me for. Stay away from this appliance store!
Worse company. I bought a washer/dryer and made it very clear, what I need (frontload, 110 voltage etc.) I even have it written down on the receipt. And hauling away the old machine. I received a top load with 230 voltage. The PC Richard installer drove away without even taking the old machine with them. I had to call customer service more than 10 times before someone took care of my situation. They had no washer/dryer in the warehouse. But I was told that they would receive a delivery of 10 machines and that I would receive one. I waited and waited. I called again. After several tries to get customer service on the phone I was told that there is no delivery for me scheduled because this machine is damaged. If I wouldn't have called I would have waited all day. Then they offered me a demonstration model. But they can't give me a delivery day and time because they have no time slots available!
This is going on for a week now. PC Richards has all my money (I paid for the first machine completely when I made the purchase) and is neither able to provide me with a new machine nor do I get my money back!

Took long for a service appointment for a broken fridge. Part came next day. Took a qeek for a follow up. Technician automatically canceled follow up visit. Poor and unprofessional
Finally got our refrigerator today... FOUR MONTHS after we ordered it AND it's not even the one we originally ordered.
First things first, I had to call OVER AND OVER to check on the status of my order and after about three months of being told various different delivery dates and reasons for the delay (which were all simply blaming the manufacturer) they finally just said, "Well here's a fridge that's in stock and pretty similar? Would you want that?" Fine... We went along. They tried to charge us an EXTRA $200 for the new fridge just because it was stainless steel and that was all they had! (We of course refused and did not pay that)
It's also impossible to talk to or get a hold of these people. I almost had a problem with the delivery date the night before and there was no way to go online and reschedule or cancel or anything.
Finally, the guy who came and installed it for us said he couldn't switch the hinge on the door. Not his fault I guess, but why wouldn't you equip your delivery people with the tools to do that? It would take MAYBE an extra 10 min? He also would not hook up the ice maker for us. (Not that we wanted an ice maker in the first place but it was included in the fridge that was FORCED upon us) He said we'd have to call back and get someone else to come out for those things... ARE YOU KIDDING ME? Why would I want to deal with you people any more?
He also said we could just do those things ourselves because "you can learn anything on YouTube." Yeah, sounds great dude. Great advice. What a JOKE of a company. How have they been in business so long?
It seems very unfair I have to give this seller even 1 star. Horrible does not begin to describe my experience. A short run down of our transaction so far.
1. My wife ordered a camera on Wednesday. On Friday she recieved a call to confirm the order. At that time she was confronted with pushy upsales for various accessories. (strike 1) Then they told her there would be an additional $20 "handling and insurance" fee added to the order. The website listed a 2.99 shipping fee, and said nothing about this extra $20, which actually made them more expensive then other sites. (strike 2)
The order was not actually shipped until the following Wednesday. Why it took a week to put a camera in a box and ship is beyond me. (strike 3).
A week later, the camera arrives. My wife is sitting on our couch, and opens the box. She starts to play with it, and it doesn't work. Once the zoom is extended, it will not retract unless you remove the batteries. So we put it back in the box and ship it back the next day.
2 days after they receive the camera back, they call us. They tell us the camera has a scratch on the body near the lens, and we must have dropped it. The only place we could have dropped it was on the couch, and there was no scratch on it when we mailed it. They said they would send it to the manufacturer, but in there opinion we had damaged it and most likely the manufacturer would send us back the broken camera.
The delivery people were very careless and broke my light. They assured me that they will put in a claim for me. I waited a few days and when I did not hear I contact customer service. The representative was very inefficient, she could not provide answers nor guidance. At the end of the conversation, she assured me that she submitted a claim. Again when I did not receive any communication I called again on 9/7/2021 and was informed that the broken light on my refrigerator has been submitted. I explained in detail that it is not the light on the refrigerator it is a light in my kitchen, She informed me that she will correct the claim and provided me with an email address, *******@pcrichard.com, to submit pictures of the damaged item. My email was returned because the email address is invalid. I called today 9/8 and was on hold for more than half-hour. After explaining to the representative why I am calling she disconnected the call. This is extremely poor customer service for PC Richard. I have been a customer for more than 20 years. I am now re-thinking future purchases.
It's situations like this that harm hard working sales people. Managenent will then complain because sales people don't meet their required sales numbers. What a mess!

Neither I nor the employee at the condo office have received the certificate of insurance needed from the delivery department. Local appliance vendors have certificates of insurance on file at the condominium office. It's apparent that the warehouse will not send the certificate on time. There's been clear and ongoing disfunction with the delivery department over the years. It creates a lot of time waste and frustration for me. Your district sales managers mouth and attitude are certainly not what any customer will accept. Its obvious that he's comfortable speaking with disrespect to customers. His mouth and the delivery departments disfunction appear to reflect the culture of PC Richard because it's permitted. In addition, it now has been made very difficult to speak with your executive office. I know that you try very hard to help me whenever possible, but you can't dictate and control the perception of your employer's culture. Please cancel my order and refund my deposit.
Bought 8 items and spent over 8k when I re did my kitchen. Needed service on 5 of the items. When fridge broke, I called they referred me to the manufacturer to complete repair. Manufacturer said it couldnt be repaired, and needed to be replaced. I call PC Richards, they said they need to send out at least three service visits before it can be repalced. I explained to them the first service person said it couldnt be repaired, what will the next 2 say differently? They said they needed to speak with a manager and call me back. They never called back. I waited 4 days, and called again. This one said this is my first time calling. They would look into all of my information, and the manager would give me a call back. The manager never called back. I called back once again. I finally got them to agree after being on hold for 30 min each time.They would refund my money and I could purchase a new one. I would have to pay the difference if the same item has increased in cost? I said it has been 2 years, and with COVID-19 what is the chance the cost increased? They couldn't answer my question. I believe everyone is better off looking at the same items elsewhere to avoid these problems.

Absolutely cannot trust AJRICHARDS. I am in the process of contacting the State of NY about their business practices. I ordered a Canon 1Ds Mark III from them. The camera was listed as in stock and the price was $6799. Today, they cancelled without warning. They did not want to honor the price. They have changed the price to $7599. THEY DO NOT WISH TO HONOR THE PRICE THAT WE AGREED TO. DO NOT TRUST AJRICHARDS. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM.

I purchased a mattress and adjustable base for approximately $7000. The base failed after two weeks they would not exchange it they would not let me return it. I called corporate the store manager everyone I possibly could. I literally spent hours on the phone I am on week three with the electric base that does not function, and they do not care whatsoever. I just received a call from the service supervisor Ellen who informed me that the district manager said I cannot return it or exchange it. When I bought the bed, the salesman told me that if I was unhappy with the product that I could exchange it for something so I decided that I would try to exchange it for the more expensive double bass, but they will not let me do that either. They told me that a service repair person would contact me next week. This is going week four. I also called the store manager in Manchester where I bought it, Justin, and he could not care less. WOW TALK ABOUT THE WORST BUSINESS POSSIBLE!

I have been in my own Resturant Business for many years and my partner in life has been in the salon business for many years.
So we know customer service when we see it.
I am happy to say we were disappointed in your Carle place location we then started shopping and went to Best Buy and Home Depot to say Best Buy was in the running on service and choice till we went home and waited for the salesmen to put the numbers and check availability for us since we were going to stay with one brand.
He was great in the store but never got back to us nor email and we tried to get in touch with him to no avail.
We then decided on our way back to our second home you had a store right on the service road let's look at PC Richard again.

This is almost bordering criminal and definitely unprofessional. My delivery to my rental unit in Fort Lee yesterday was terrible. The first question when the delivery men arrived was are you home alone? My tenant (female) was home alone because her husband was late coming back. The delivery people turned the valve on the washing machine and showed her that it leaked from the top and kept the valve running. They haggled her to give them money to fix the leak. When she said her husband is on his way, they immediately turned the valve off. This is scary when she is home alone.
PC. RICHARDS SHOULD INVESTIGATE WHO THE DELIVERY PERSONS WERE AND FIRE THAT PERSON. THIS SHOULD NEVER HAPPEN WHEN A WOMAN IS HOME ALONE AND EXTORT MONEY FROM SOMETHING THAT IS NOT EVEN BROKEN.

I ordered a refridgerator from P. C. Richard & Son 3/13/2022 by 4/13/2022 I still haven't recieved it, I finally called customer service and they swap the refridgerator out for something else that they had in stock. My delivery date was now schedule for Satuday 4/16/2022. When the delivery men arrived they didn't bring the refridgerator upstairs they came upstairs speaking in Spanish measured the door and told me that the refridgerator wouldn't fit through the door even if they took the doors to the refridgerator off. The broken refridgerator that is currently in my home measures from back to front with doors on is 29 1/4. The new refridgerator that I purchase was 29 3/4 with doors on. When I told them to bring the refridgerator upstairs they told me NO, they told me No to taking the doors off and then got into the truck and drove off. The delivery men had an attitude, rude and point blank didn't want to deliver the refridgerator, because they didn't want to do to the work of taking off the doors to bring the refridgerator in my house.
Order the same 18.2 cubic feet Whirlpool refridgerator from Lowe's received it 2 days after I ordered it. They brought it upstairs took it the refridgerator doors off and brought it in to my home set it up and took the old one out.
On November 2020 I bought a new whirlpool refrigerator from PC Richards with an 8 year extended warranty, MN ake my choice after asking the sales representative about a recommendation due to in the pass I just had a lemon with an lg that lasted 4 years. On December 3 I call that the refrigerator was not making any ice, the rep says their warranty will replace the refrigerator if they can fix the issue on the 2or third attempt, PC Richards technicians have come 5 times and no luck I have lost time from work, now on June 24 2021 n finally I ask them to get a replacement cuz I can not Stand any more unsuccessful visits and they said that, they can not replaced that they need to keep servicing it, I refuced and ask for a replacement or a refund and they said they can do any of it, if PC Richards has a reputation as they said they should honor and stand by customer satisfaction. With a faulty appliances costing me over $4,000 and having try to fix it 5 times already and not being able to I should be more than qualify to get it replace or get a refund for it. First experience with PC Richards but now I now that they are not reliable as they announce they are. All the warranties are in effect but that to them don't matter. Make a wise choice, go somewhere else to buy ur appliances next time.
