I'm amazed at how poorly run a long established business is. After several attempts at fixing the same problem, we are waiting once again for the "parts" and appointment. Problem is no one knows what's going on. Babies in the background when you call service. Tell me my dishwasher and stove is on the ticket yet my refrigerator is the problem! Parts are in yet there not in! Bottom line, no one knows and no one cares.
I have an extended warranty on my LG refrigerator. I have been without an operating refrigerator/freezer for over 6 weeks. Three attempts to repair the unit have all failed. They have no idea what is wrong and when I call customer service they could care less. I wonder how long would any executive at PC Richards do without a refrigerator? I am disappointed and disgusted with the service I have received to date.
What a wonderful experience we had yesterday at your location in the gateway store in Brooklyn NY. Our salesperson, Haseeb Mohamed was very knowledgeable about the dishwasher we were purchasing and very professional throughout the purchase process. He also explained the delivery process as far as date and time frames I will definitely be back to Mr Mohamed whenever I need additional purchases and will recommend my friends and family to him
I place an order for a Nikon d7000 camera body took advatage of there promotions with memory card upgrade and warrranty. I am not sure why everyone else is bashing the site but they seem to be more legit then most of the other scam sites that are out there just give them a chance
In July I went out looking for a 55" Samsung SmartTV no 3D. I looked in Sears and other places and then decided to go to P C Richards. A friend of mine told me all about them and the deals he got. We went to P C Richards and looked around and started to leave, at the door they stopped us and asked us what they could do to make us happy. Well, we bargained back and forth and before long I got the Samsung and the mount for the wall for a very good price. I will continue to deal with them for now on. They treated us right. I love this location and the managers and salesman. Specificly Albert and Charlie. They are knowledgeable and definitely understand the customers needs. I have made many purchases over the years at the Paramus NJ store, and only had one minor problem with one of the items I bought. They wasted no time doing what needed to be done to correct the problem... I would recommend this store and PC Richards to anyone. Keep up the great work.
I just bought Pentax K5 from there and so far they sold me an extended battery for $45.00 instead of the advertised price of $89.00. They never pushed for insurance or tried to up the handling/shipping charges. I bought it on Sunday 9/18/11, they shipped it 9/20/11, and UPS tracking has it coming tomorrow 9/22/11,700 miles from NY. We will see tomorrow if I did or did not receive exactly what I ordered, ie a new Pentax K5 with 18-55mm lens. Will keep you informed.

I have always found PC Richard in College Point, NY to be a clean and spacious store with the best management and the best sales people, particularly Gregory. He always tries to give you the best deal possible and always treats you like a valued customer. I have done quite a bit of business with this store and have found them to be reputable, reliable and like Gregory, always trying to do the best for the customer.

Ordered a 65" TV as a gift. I canceled it due to their return policy. It states you cannot return any TV 50" or bigger after the box is open. Bestbuy has a much better return policy for the same price.
Aside from some glitches in delivery, which were not his fault, therefore, my experience was basically with your floor salesman, Mithun. This review is a bit late, but, better late than never, I hope.
The thing I liked best in him, Mithun, was that, he was not pushy - which, always offputting to a potential customer! He sensed that he knew what my husband wanted, and was very respectful of his wishes.
I found him to be patient, polite, and very factual. In other words, a very soft, but persuasive sell. I do wish there were more sales people like him in other places. I thought him to be intelligent and really nice, and, an excellent asset to your company. If and when I return to this store, I shall be sure to ask for his help.

I picked it up and had it home all in 1 hour.

DON'T BOTHER TO BUY A SERVICE CONTRACT. The stores do a great job when you go there to purchase something. I have always bought service contracts just in case. Well the just in case has just happened. My fridge door is broken. It wont close. In early May I called the service center to schedule repairs. The guy came, said it can't be fixed. I need a new door. The door finally came Monday June 28th, after several emails from them saying they are having trouble getting the part. We called them Friday June 25th and magically the door appeared in my yard on Monday. I called them Monday to schedule an appointment. After waiting on hold, getting hung up on and waiting again, they tell me someone would be here on Thursday. They didn't show. I just did the same thing again and now they won't be here until Thursday July 7. This is terrible when you don' have any place to store your Cold Food. They actually denied that I was ever scheduled for the 1st. Like I made it up.

That the Service contracts are not worth it. you rarely use them, and when you need it you will have trouble getting service.

They came to service unit 3 weeks later for a repair didn't come with parts for repair just looked at unit and said have to order parts 3 to 5 days. Got a call it will be another 3 weeks before they come back. They should just tell you the truth from the beginning. Parts are taking months to get with Covid just tell us that.

Horrible this company is a scam I don't recommend anyone buy from this company I just bought new refrigerator it's almost $3000 and it was defective and they tried to call them and send me someone to fix it and he said we missing part and the part is going to come after one month and he doesn't want to replace the refrigerator or exchange it or do anything for me and the customer service is horrible and professional people I don't recommend anyone spend a penny for this company

I placed an order online for a washer and gas dryer. I was then contacted by a customer service rep that inquired if I currently had a gas dryer otherwise I would have to pay a fee. I advised the representative that I did currently have a gas dryer. Now at time of delivery not only am I told that my new gas dryer cannot be installed because I didn't pay for it (yes the same one I was told I didn't have to pay) but then the drivers were rude and unprofessional. Then to add insult to injury, I call PC Richard & Son the next installation for dryer is a week from now on top of they have no record of my conversations with them until today yet my original delivery was for 1/12/2021 and I personally rescheduled to 1/21/2021. THE ABSOLUTE WORST. Will definitely be my first and LAST purchase from them ever. Submitting this to corporate as well.

They can not be trusted at all. You'd better to watch your credit card bill. I never gona order anything from them any more!
Tried to buy a new refrigerator,took our current measurements to the Hanover store. Picked out a new one,but the size and the opening were questionable. They charged us 50$ to send two men out to check if it would fit. They came unprepared with no information. We had to call the store to get the info. They said it wouldn't fit and left. Went to the closest store (North Haven) was greeted by a sales person in a leisure suit and all he did was argue; left after 5 minutes. Went to the Newington store and found a very knowledgeable, competent sales person. Bought a combo wall oven (2 ovens) through him, it was installed & 1 of the ovens didn't work.
Service call was useless: response was that a service order had been issued to a separate company; never heard from them & when I contacted them was told they had no service order for the unit.
Still waiting for repair from Bosch 2 weeks later. COMPANY HAS GONE DOWNHILL; AVOID IT!

Just incompetent. We buy a expensive thermodor freezer and refrigerator. Freezer comes Dead on Arrival in May. Asked to replace the freezer and in July they say it not PC Richards but Bosch who is delaying the delivery. So in July based on their recommendation we agreed to have the freezer fix instead of replacning it. Jersey applicance was contracted to do it and somehow as of today September 16 2021. Pc richards and Jersey applicance cannot get on the same page to fix it. PC richards repeatedly says parts are in and we on schedule twice. When we call Jersey applicance to confirm they said dont know why PC Richards is going you wrong information. Brad from PC richards is horrible and I feel like is in alternate world While Dave, his manager is good at lip service.

Purchased TV from 86th street store delivery scheduled for Wednesday between 8am and 12pm at 12.30 called store said the driver would call me to tell me when they would arrive, called again at 1.30 2.30 and 3.30 each time same story driver would call he never did, at 4.30 called main office who said driver would be there in 15 minutes, worst service I ever had, will never shop there again PS 5pm no one here or called
Purchased a GE washer in late Oct. 2020. It was delivered on 10/21/2020. It stopped working a half year later. Only a half year. GE products usually lasts more than 10 years or more. Called the service. There's only one number for service. The wait time is a hour long. Online register is asking for tons of numbers. The service is slow and bad. The 3rd party repair company contracted with PC Richards is very rude. The lady answering phone is rude and doesn't want do any work so don't even worry about any service. Finally, the service person coming and said he's goig to order a part. 3 weeks passed. He said he has no GE part for repair. Then he said PC Ricahrd doesn't repair GE product. Really bad customer service and warrenty doesn't cover GE product and they don't tell you ahead of time. I'm still waiting for them.

Waited a year for Subzero fridge to come in. Went to check on the status to get an idea if it was still arriving on time. Employee assured me that because I had the PO next to the invoice it was guaranteed and not to worry showing me the computer screen. A few weeks later called that it was in and had to pay the balance. Scheduled the appointment for inspection of the area (because it was a commercial fridge) and the delivery. They came to inspect and said everything was good and ready for delivery. A person called to confirm from store. A person called after that from delivery to confirm and told me I would be getting a text with time frame of delivery. Received that text. Waited next day until an hr after time frame ended and no one came. Called the store and they put me on hold and came back in to tell me they can't locate the fridge! What? I told them to call me back and they need to find where it is. Called THEM and still no one knew anything! It was a Sat so I waited until Mon. Finally someone called Mon afternoon and said we never had your fridge.I don't know why they said they did. What! I confirmed 3 times had to come and pay the balance showed me the screen to assure me it was in and now it was never in? Full of crap! They made a mistake and gave it to someone else and now covering their butt! They are dishonest and they don't care about their customers!
At least have some class and own up to it.
I've been wanting to buy a new smart TV for myself and another and a number of times I try going to Best Buy on 86th street. But the customer service Thea was horrible and it was hard to even get someone to help me. When I finally did, the young sales put sales person was not paying me much mind and just try to sell me ATV for $2000. So I went to PC Richards on 86th street and Tomasz was so helpful and attentive and I had a great experience there. He even called me today to confirm delivery for tomorrow and even wish me a Happy Birthday. I am expecting my new TV tomorrow and I am thrilled.

Bad Experience - I should have known better. Canon S95 - their price was $20 less than others. I place order online. No action. I call next day - they try to upsell me by telling me the battery that comes with the camera is only good for 30 minutes. That's pure BS and they know it. Then he tells me my total price is xxxx. $35 more than my online order. He explains... handling, insurance etc. At this point I realize their game. I reply "Look at my order. I agreed to pay $379.99" - he says well the total is $402. Xx
I say again... look at my order... and tell me what I agreed to pay? He he - he wouldnt do it. Just said... do you want to cancel your order. I said YES

Had to call PC Richards several times since they never return your call and frustrated trying to get a service call scheduled by PC Richards. I called a made a complaint with customer service whom never followed up. I did speak with the store manager who scheduled an appt and they actually did come and fix the issue had to jump through hoops!
Great customer service at Beko, I called the refrigerator company directly and the regional manager called me back within 24 hrs and scheduled a service call at my convenience ( which I didn't wind up needing)
My purchase and delivery went smoothly but the follow up PC Richards regarding issues is horrendous!
